hello everyone this is dawn uh somebody had requested for assistance on how to use cremation ashes in a resin mold and using resin so i've mixed a little up it's been sitting for a few minutes letting the bubbles come up to the top i'm using about 20 milliliters and i've gotten to the point now where i can add the uh cremation remains got about a teaspoon or a tablespoon there mix it up make sure that everything gets completely covered there's no pieces that um are left dry that looks really good i wanted about that consistency so that it can go into the mold properly it can level itself out properly and can make a proper memorial piece for you so then what i do is just pour it i usually start in the deepest part of the mold work my way to the narrowest support slowly precisely about there ought to do it because again it's self leveling so it will fill in all the little areas that you need again pouring slowly starting off with the thick areas and then just kind of working my way to the thicker spot or the thinner spots looks like i made a little too much so i'm going to go ahead and do this little one it's not the resin that we're worried about wasting it's um not giving proper memorial to the ashes itself of your loved one and if you see any spots that didn't go to just give it a little love tap this will also take care of any bubbles just guiding in there that piece is a little large to go in that small of an area and i have more so i'm gonna grab another mold um i have several of the wings i like that one so i'm just gonna set that one aside and i think we have just enough for these little ones again this will self level just give it a little guiding touch all right i probably overfilled those so what i'm gonna do is just take this and just assist it over to this one i don't like doing that but sometimes it happens just make sure that you get all of your ash off the top of the mold and get it into the areas that you want it again over here oops i'm gonna just guide that over leveling that out as much as possible bringing that making sure i don't lose any of that ash tuck that back in there scrape some more mainly it's about showing respect and love even if it's not someone that you personally knew or that was affiliated with you it's about respecting who they were to someone else so i'm just giving this a little love assistance and guiding it to where i need it to fill in on the mold so that it levels out beautifully make sure to do your best scrape all that out nice and clean um like i said this is someone's loved one so make sure that we respect that again just give them a little hand where it needs to go make sure it fills in properly i made a little much scoop that up okay scrape this off as much as possible and what parts i can't scrape off i will leave in the container let it cure [Music] and then i can peel all of that out and then it's not wasted let me make something else out of that peel okay that looks pretty good so now what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna take my little torch and i'm going to get out all the air bubbles real quick don't let it get too close to your mold because it will melt it or make it where the resin doesn't want to release if you have somewhere you know something sticking up just kind of escort it to a thicker part of your mold so that all of your levels will balance out and it'll be flat and beautiful okay i'm gonna hit that one more time with the torch some bubbles are rising back up and i'll probably do this two or three more times to be honest with you just to make sure that there is no bubbles and then we'll let this sit for 24 hours and then remove from molds and go from there they're cured so now we're just going to remove them from the molds came out beautifully absolutely beautiful need to clean up the edges just a little bit but there you go that's the basics on how to do it how to get it done um i've already the other two that were in this mold and i've already taken out and finished [Music] this is the little put a little blue teardrop and a hanger combine the two together um here's the back um when combining the the two pieces to make one i use uv resin sorry excuse me i use uv resin to bind it all together this is the larger one and i had put this together thinking it was going to look really cool with this red in the middle didn't like it so covered it up with the gem and all you have to do is you know they can add chain rope whatever um use it for a necklace or a win review mirror dangle um but there you go that's how it works i hope this helps somebody have a blessed day stay crafty bye
