hey everybody good afternoon it's corey here i am outside of this supermarket called mommy motto mommy mart's it's a large uh kind of supermarket chain i guess out here in chiba i don't know about other areas but uh today we're gonna go inside we're going to check out what a japanese supermarket is like so i usually don't come here this is a little bit out of the way it takes me about 15 minutes by bike to get here and i actually have six other supermarkets near my house within walking distance so i usually don't come here but so that's probably why i chose to come and film this place because it's a lesser frequented one and they might not recognize my face or something like that the other ones i go to all the time and they'll they know who i am um i wanted to point this out i didn't see this before i've been to this place before but this is new to me this is a recycle center you drop off a plastic or newspapers cardboard and you get points that you can use for shopping here we're going handheld without stabilizer so i do apologize if the video is shaky okay so we're getting a cart here so in japan um shopping carts aren't like in the united states or other countries where they're really large there's these small ones and you put a basket in it the only time i've ever seen a large shopping cart is like costco there we go that's our cart so right off the bat right into the produce section man check out these grapes 1 2008 yen for a bundle of grapes that's a little over 10 dollars [Music] yeah okay so i haven't been here in probably one year i think a year ago is the last time i was here here's some fall items chestnuts and some roasted peanuts sweet potato fries [Music] and uh most supermarkets have this all year round some kind of a little sweet potato thing here these are baked sweet potatoes so am i getting anything today i'm not sure what am i gonna get um yeah i'm gonna do a light shop here and then i'll just go to my other supermarket that i usually go to for the rest of my stuff lots of different um sprouts some lettuce 138 yen for some lettuce uh what else we got here yeah this is just like normal veggies i think uh they do sell these um uh cabbage quarters yeah quarter cat quarter cut 128 yen that's about i think average for most supermarkets these are really good very handy just cut them up put them in some soup garlic this garlic's almost uh almost three dollars they do sell a pre-packaged like cut up green onions and spring onions and stuff like that these are about a dollar each i guess if you don't have a knife it's useful yeah he got a moyashi this is a green green green sprouts i can't speak english um i usually buy some of these yeah 28 yen really cheap it's about a quarter 25 cents or so very healthy there's some pickled stuff i'm going to show you more veggies here lots of different onions and bundles get these in bulks 3.98 get some potatoes bag 398. get a pretty decent amount [Music] ah so some of the supermarkets they cooperate with local farmers like in the area around this neighborhood so this is some of their produce and farm farmed goods sometimes the prices are good sometimes they're a little bit more expensive because they're like fully organic but i think that's a really neat thing and then they have their name uh and you know the farm that they work on so it's pretty cool that's leaks different types of mushrooms uh kabocha so squash pumpkin i'm just zigzagging right now so the one thing uh that bothers me about broccoli in in japan broccoli is so tiny and it's almost two dollars very very tiny and then uh same same with asparagus uh actually this is a decent amount um for 198 usually you only get like three three or four sticks oh sorry this is 198 per 100 grams okay so this one's listed at 582. so sometimes they sell them in bundles of just three and it's like this price 198. uh asparagus is very expensive here and avocados are 98 yen for one and they are tiny like super small some of them are really bad they're super mushy yeah like this is just not that it's so mushy but they're so small bananas um i think of anything interesting uh let's there's some more fruit over here uh they have dragon fruit pineapple sometimes pineapple is cheap sometimes not how much is this little container here 598 yen wow it's almost six dollars for that little amount of pineapple this is pricey there's a market near my house that sells like this much for like half that price so some supermarkets have the same things for the same price sometimes they're not the same price so just depends on where you go um i got some prunes i have not seen prunes all season 498 yen for some prunes that's good all right uh here we've got the tofu soy section there's like soy powder soy mash like all kinds of different stuff amazake what else we got here yeah different different firmnesses of tofu soft more firm and they also sell these kind of a sundubu pre-packaged like broth things you can get a like normal mild or very spicy i'd rather just make that stuff from scratch but it is available here this is interesting i've never seen this before oh it's for the little little tiny dishes and you can put different like sauces and toppings well that's cool i've never seen that before here's a more kind of like deep fried tofu pretty good for like oden oden style a bunch of different kimchi kimchi section um i'm trying to see if the kimchi i get is here i don't know they don't have the kimchi that i get i get a different brand it's from japan but it tastes decent of course nothing beats the real thing right from like a an actual korean like grandmother or mother more pickled stuff pickle pickled pickled pickled eggplants uh what is this this looks like pickled mustard greens i think yeah and here's some kind of more like banchan style stuff pickled eggplant and cucumber uh like here's like the taquan some radish so these are pretty good you know if you have a like a full meal just get one of these on the side it's always nice to have little pickled veggies with any meal i think is that an asian thing i mean i know in the states they use like dill pickles and like hamburgers and stuff but like i don't know if you guys are from a non-us country do you guys eat pickled things with your meals here's uh pickled plums different types of pickled plums there's all kinds all so many different types different salts some are very very soft some of these other ones are more crunchy pickled ginger garlic yeah so i'm not getting any of this stuff i'm just rambling as i see things um here udon noodles here's various different types of noodles i like getting these kinds of things here they're like you could see they still got the flour on them keep them separated got to keep them separated um so you just boil them up at home you can use them for all kinds of different things curry udon in noodles like just so so many different ways yeah these are all like kind of the more expensive like gourmet like ramen package stuff um zenya so yeah it's got everything you need inside of it and sometimes in this area they have like the toppings oh yeah here they are so if you want the eggs and the bamboo shoots and the meat the chashu meat they sell it individual package like that or you can get it individually and add that to your ramen yeah let's uh let's go check out this section this is the fish section smells good smells fresh there's a mashed tuna like leftover bits these are all the off cuts right here these are good for snacking and here's all the sushi yeah a thousand yen is not not too bad um some places sell them a little bit cheaper maybe like in the 700 or 800 yen range um here's some more yeah 700 yen range ones it's got some good stuff in there got the ikura and a nice slab of tuna yeah so lots of lots of different types of sushi in and around here and then here we've got more of the sashimi this is a chutoro this is a tuna belly thousand four hundred seventy yen for that uh how much is this platter here it looks like a nice thick platter fifteen eighty all right not bad not bad the prices are pretty good this looks looks really tasty oh yeah see the fattiness glistening wow so many slices i usually get like this i usually just get the filet of the salmon and i just cut it at home myself sometimes it's cheaper and you get you get more of the cut that you want like this this one's decent for 598 yen yeah that's um i think i might get that yeah actually i think i'm gonna get this i'm feeling like eating some salmon today all right here's some octopus tentacles more squid tentacles they do sell seaweed as well seaweed salad can you see the seaweed salad [Music] clams oysters and cockles you can see the staff in here inside uh cleaning out some squid and stuff crab here we got some fish wow ooh some nice mackerel right here fresh mackerel [Music] on ice uh am i gonna go up and down every aisle probably let's see uh this salmon over uh here these salmon fillets these are more for like a baking grilling they still have the skin on them so they still have the skin and uh these are usually you bake them or grill them the japanese homes um their ovens usually have like a fish grill drawer thing it's kind of like a broiler and uh usually cook up fish that way um what else we got here yeah lots of different fish cuts these are more for like stews and for baking grilling here's just like a mixed variety cut of a booty uh i forget what that is in english chat jackfish jack i can't i'm not even gonna attempt to remember what it is yeah looking good looking good all right over in this section we've got a unagi this is a eel lots of eel and here's a marinated like fish that you can take home it's already pre-seasoned pre-marinated so this one's uh what is this uh basil oil basil olive oil here's some like breaded ones yeah with the cut up vegetables and stuff so they make stuff like really convenient um one thing you've probably noticed so far in this in the video is uh everything is wrapped in plastic um even the vegetables they were like vegetables individually wrapped in plastic and it is a shame japan definitely uses way too much plastic here's some nice frozen like tiger shrimp yeah so see what else can we look at here um we've got row different types of uh salted like pollock row mentaiko and stuff there's this advertisement singing about men taiko that's funny yeah these are cool they get the fish here you can grill these and they have them on like a little straw thing but you can replace that with a like a skewer metal skewer a wooden skewer really good oh here's a here's a good example of that so you can see a little toothpick sticking through the eyes and you just slap these bad boys on the grill oh yeah that's good eating right there [Music] what else we got here here's a more kind of a kind of a salad thing shrimp salad it's got mixed with eggs and stuff pickled things pickled and salty things it's more just like classic mix of uh different veggies and stuff here you can eat that with hot rice yeah so many different little options for veggies they're all marinated and pre-cooked uh here they've got these kind of a namul kits so it's got the namul stuff to make bibimbap korean bibimbap uh it even has the gochujang hot sauce packet inside so all you have to do is cook up some beef and a fried egg get this and some hot rice put some uh sesame oil and you're good to go mix it all up they do sell potato salad you can see here some potato salad um this tiny tiny portion of potato salad uh 148 yen it's about like a dollar 25 or something [Music] there's more more stuff here oh nice this is like grilled eggplant [Music] and they've got uh some grilled chumai i don't know if you could see that these are good good like for quick lunches snacks and stuff they do have a tempura section here [Music] like fried veggies and they also have a koroke these are like potato potato patties with different fillings inside of them and then breaded and then fried yeah i came here at a kind of off time there's like really no customers i mean there's a few you can see them here but in general like it's pretty quiet right now um oh i wanted to show you over here here we've got uh different beans black beans and i don't know the names of these different beans um but you can do all kinds of things with these we've got sweet potatoes these are like pre-packaged stuff cooked and seasoned and same with here too we got uh some of these kind of like anchovies uh here is apparently the spice section their seasonings and herbs so they do sell these kinds of like pre-pre-assembled packages of herbs for different types of things so like for example if i wanted to um here like i have rosemary chicken it has everything i need for rosemary chicken inside of this pack yep so you just cook the chicken and then you add the seasoning and then you're good to go lemon lemon pepper chicken so they have it for everything soups roast beef like making kimchi pickling your own veggies like they have all of that stuff here and uh here's kind of more of like the western spices these are organic here's rosemary basil parsley oregano nutmeg vanilla bean saffron ooh saffron now let's continue into the bento section it smells really good all of this stuff i think was just cooked recently for the lunch lunch rush here a nice fat stack of yakitori and tare sauce 580 yen for how many sticks one two three four five six seven eight nine ten that's actually really cheap too bad they don't have the shio the salt ones i don't really like tare sauce it's too sweet for me here's some different sandwich fruit sandwiches this one has uh looks like pineapple and tangerine in it here's one with uh kiwis kiwis and grapes different different sandwiches here uh what's what's over here ah here's more fried stuff fried snacks we've got gyoza over there this is overwhelming see ah here's more of like the like the bento plate lunch sets with the rice and like karage chicken we've got some like yakiniku or something so the varieties are just endless guys the varieties are just endless like look at this it's got like salmon and tempura inside and rice and gyoza there's a shumai thing in there got different onigiri yeah different kinds of stuff here tuna mayo stuffed with mentaiko inside uh you can just buy rice with some oats or grains inside of it if you wanted that if you're too lazy to cook rice you can just buy pre-cooked rice spaghetti spaghetti and hamburger mixed with a looks like a omelette rice here's uh yakisoba sandwich yakisoba hoagie i guess i don't know what's the right way to say it here's a spaghetti never seen that before but it doesn't surprise me um yeah yakisoba look this yakisoba looks really good but there's no meat on it sometimes they grill up beef on there and we do have some takoyaki takoyaki balls it's got the fish flakes and some ginger on top it's not hot though it's not fresh udon noodles okay i'm noticing uh they've got a pizzeria this is where they have different types of pizza now this pizza is going to be really strange i think for some people first of all what is this with a blueberry like compo on it and this says pizza it's a half pizza fruit pizza here's another fruit pizza with chocolate strawberries and uh it looks like marshmallows that is it says pizza [Music] ah here's more uh yakitori oh yeah here they got the shio set oh that looks good 680 yen for all that that's cheap that is cheap i might actually pick up one of these um i think i might i think i might get this one here it's got the mix of the chicken skin uh momo it's the chicken thigh and uh some some kind of pee i don't know what piece of chicken that is i might get this and heat this up at home yeah 398 that's not bad for that much two four six sticks for that price wow it's usually about a hundred yen per stick so we're getting it for half price okay so i got distracted um here's some more weird pizzas this one has corn and mushrooms but it's not like your traditional style here's one with wedges of potatoes on there and looks like mayonnaise and corn here's something i don't even know what this is is this pork oh this is chicken with mayonnaise and seaweed here's some with shrimp and little pieces of clams i can see the clams in there oh what else we got here this is more mushroom mushroom pizza yeah so we're entering into the meat section um there's beef beef is generally more expensive than anything else it depends also on the cuts this looks like some really nice i don't know what it is flank um but it's 11 uh yeah 1140 yen oh i have so many ideas for this you could wrap some veggies with that and fry it up just grill it oh yeah look at the marble the marbling on that really nice yeah so more of this stuff is for like shabu shabu or you know like yakiniku grilling it on a on a fire or on like a hot like pan or something hot plate these are really good um [Music] what else they got here uh here's more pork there's a nice thick cut of pork here i like to get these kinds of things chop them up like into quarters or even half and then freeze three pieces and then like use one piece to make a soup or something like that what else do they got here uh they give different like pork patties pork patio you have to do is just fry it up on a frying pan and you're good to go kind of a meatball uh some most of these supermarkets don't really sell like the off cuts the oval or anything like that um you know like for example this is uh some nice um uh which we call a liver and heart and uh yeah like sometimes you don't even see that in other supermarkets there's one supermarket that i usually go to and they have all kinds of weird cuts they have like pigs feet and the intestines and all that stuff i love it i love it i love it but usually in these bigger chain ones they don't have that kind of stuff ground beef here's a lot of different pre-made hamburger steaks in the sauce [Music] a lot of different breakfast sausages um ham prosciutto prosciutto yeah let's look at the bacon i want to show you guys bacon so japanese bacon is more like ham um so for example here it's not like in in america where it's you know it's brined and whatnot it's it's it's a little different [Music] but they also have a fatty fatty one here that you can slice up yourself if you wanted [Music] okay and then more of a packaged kind of goods you just microwave it these are all like chicken nuggets and stuff they're like a spicy spicy chicken nuggets oh you can't see inside oh you can kind of see inside [Music] we've got a yogurt section here lots of different yogurts uh i really don't ever see like greek style yogurt unfortunately this is all like yo plate style you can get plain you can get many different flavors here's all the different uh like yogurt like biotic drinks is that the right word i'm using biotic yeah so you know ways to avoid like gout and other things yogurt drinks flavored yogurt drink it's like berry mix yakurut here's some more yakurut and they even have these uh super super tiny yogurt cups for children uh look at that four four little cups in my hand and they even have these cute little cartons for children to drink i like that uh what do we got here oh this is frozen meat frozen chicken wings they do sell uh corn dogs [Music] 500 yen for that two was it two four six eight ten ten for 500 yen wow and uh hash browns of us here uh oh yes they've got like a spring rolls cabbage rolls all right let me uh let me let me head back this way [Music] i've only got two items in my cart i'm just like literally going up and down every island just kind of pointing things out that i see i'm sure this is pretty interesting for a lot of you people um if you guys have any questions about anything that you've seen so far or just like something that you want me to like go back and like buy and try sometime on video let me know the japanese supermarkets are an entirely different world compared to like uh other countries that i've been to yeah so lots of different gyoza here's milk lots of different milk i'm lactose intolerant so i can't really drink any of these but there is one brand here that i do that i can drink uh akadi akadi is good for people that are lactose intolerant and it tastes just like milk i mean it is milk it's just been processed and they remove the lactose so thank god for that um got different coffees yeah milk coffee yes they do have the mount rainier and starbucks brand cafe lattes yeah more juices juices juice boxes juice boxes um what can you get in juice boxes let's see uh they do have like different kind of vegetable vegetable blends um stuffed with like vitamins and whatnot uh what else a red shiso is made out of kindness the leaf is similar to sesame yeah there's also like some vinegar ones too kind of like a vinegar apple apple apple cider vinegar drink um here's almond milk all these are almond breeze yep almond breeze is here um let me backtrack i think i missed uh several aisles over here but i know there's a staff member like stocking shelves let's look at the bread [Music] so for the life of me i can't ever find hamburger buns but i can find hot dog buns i really crave just like a homemade hamburger so they have these kind of like a shokupan style breads here very thick and fluffy you can get them in various slices like six slices five sometimes uh eight or ten oh yeah the eight eights are down here at the bottom yeah i'm looking uh here authentic english muffins six pack [Music] yeah sweet rolls sweet rolls more sweet rolls um yeah see here's here's the rules for hot dog buns you can't really see it but um they're tiny they're super tiny and and they just don't have hot dog buns uh sorry uh hamburger buns uh what are we looking at ah this is uh different jellies and jams here's a yuzu jam this is really good and here let's look at some syrup this is a 100 maple syrup is it from canada yep it says yeah it does it says canada something h-a-c-c-p quality control recognition 300 grams for 680n i've got another one here is this from canada yeah it is from canada 948 yen for this uh 333 gram bottle so these are pretty pricey pretty pricey but um worth it it's worth it the japanese um syrup the japanese i don't see it the japanese syrups are uh they're just so not good um it's like liquid and then the same with some of the honey too like you know if you want good honey you should drop drop a pretty uh decent amount of money on like good proper honey [Music] here we've got dorayaki if you guys know doraemon the cartoon so this he yeah he loves this little bread i don't know how to describe it little pancake bread like sweet bean inside uh here's a wadabi mochi this is like a clear clear like mochi i guess and then it's got the soybean powder and sauce there these are more like traditional japanese snacks over here yeah like for for example a mitarashirango this is a sweet and salty soy sauce grilled mochi balls on a stick [Music] yeah okay um what else what else oh here's some different loaves of bread kind of sweet bread but it's got corn bits in it it says cheese cheese oh it's is it cheese oh it's cheese i'm sorry it looks like corn just cheese raisin bread i feel like i'm missing one aisle let's go let's find this last aisle where is it uh it was this aisle yeah okay um [Music] here's some more uh bread stuff here more uh yakisoba thing again this one's got a katsu katsu mayonnaise inside they do have a kind of a weird looking bagel it's very strange looking and little bread sticks for children quick and easy snacks they do have these um i've seen some people making videos about trying these things these are these are packaged sandwiches with different fillings like this is the egg tamago sando this is a tuna tuna mayonnaise so it's like a little mini sandwich with the crusts cut off and then they're packaged like this peanut cream yeah so i think i saw someone make a youtube video about this before ham and mayonnaise minced meat uh what is this oh this is yakisoba and mayonnaise inside of this little sandwich yeah here's a jam in margaret uh strawberry jam and butter margarine what the hell okay and they also sell hot dogs like this too like it's it's got the the wiener is in there the wiener is in the buns guys with some weird mustard cream thing i i don't ever buy this stuff because it's to me it's just like what i have had this before this is literally just corn and mayonnaise in in a bread thing and it was super super loaded with mayonnaise it was like overwhelming um they also have these burgers fukuda burger i really don't know how good these things are obviously like i'm just not interested in buying this it's just like how old is this and is it any good i don't know maybe we'll have to make a video about it sometime do a reaction video um got more sweet bread sweet sweetbreads uh oh yeah there's i forgot the entire section of this store all the different aisles oh we got a long ways to go uh here's different cheeses um good cheese is very expensive in japan um but they do have they do have like these kind of like prop more oh my carts going away they have these uh kind of like processed ones uh let's see yeah so those are just like little tiny processed things of cheese they're good for like snacks and stuff but you know some of them have like almonds in it there's some fruit flavored ones there's string cheese if you want like proper like like cheddar or something like that like sharp cheddar or something it's you can find it but it's expensive this is all butter and margarine right here there's some sweets down there okay uh i think i'm gonna try to venture into the rest of the store i've got the frozen section there's just all kinds of stuff pre-packaged so you don't have to cook anything you just microwave it like meatballs um what we got here there's different kinds of patties meat patties shumai i've got yakiniku meat uh that's for gyuron here for gyuron [Music] i'm just gonna walk past this yeah i think you guys can use your imagination it's all kind of standard stuff you know for food there's like frozen spaghetti different types of pasta frozen grilled rice onigiri so yeah it's all just like so let's go check out this alcohol this thing's been staring at me on the side of my eye in the corner of my eye you can buy cases of beer here all different types of cases here's all the different domestic beers kirin yebisu sapporo all different kinds so many i'm not going to spend too much time looking at every single can or something but you can get these tiny cans like uh this is 250 milliliters it fits right in your hand like this but check out this baby one this baby 135 milliliters this is like one shot beer [Music] it's so cute it's so tiny and cute beer snacks and then here we're getting into more of the kind of like high ball and lemon sours and those types of things these are not beer these are like flavored drinks that have a crap ton of alcohol um for example nine percent nine percent nine percent uh i saw this article that says one of these 500 milliliter sorry two of these 500 milliliter cans at nine percent is equivalent to one bottle of wine so people get trashed off of this stuff and it's actually kind of becoming a concern for a japanese uh people they're just like oh there's all these old dudes just getting trashed off of this stuff and i've been trashed off of it myself it's it's bad sometimes they leave you with the worst hangovers um but it's cheap it's it's really really cheap like you know 148 yen for this that's like a dollar or something so you know you spend like less than three dollars and you're just drunk um here's kind of more of your liqueurs japanese liqueurs [Music] they've got zima they've got sky blue and smirnoff ice green apple bite that's disgusting um eggs how much is a carton of eggs uh the cheapest one right now right here this is uh 10 eggs for 178 yen 198 is usually what i see 198. yeah that's the most common price for like cheap eggs and then of course you know you can get like more like free range and or whatnot and uh it's more expensive but anyways wow we are in the liquor section ladies and gentlemen uh there's a sign that says patrol security service okay well it's okay i am not underage so i'm allowed to be here lots of different uh japanese whiskies got the koshu i i really enjoy the koshu brands kirin santori i got the akashi these are pretty good too they do have uh some foreign western ones here jack daniels evan williams yeah and here's some of the the goods they've got it behind a locked case right here they got the hibiki the yamazakis yeah can you see that there and then uh same with the the western runs over here they've got the dwarves um there's the johnny walker blue label bam so yeah oh and then they sell these ridiculously large four four liter bottles of freaking oh my god that thing is huge let's have a 400 milliliters four liters of oakmaster keating whiskey so i guess if you run a bar or something like it's good to stock up on this stuff or if you just drink a ton of whiskey all the time but uh i feel like you know maybe dropping a little bit more money on a higher quality scotch or bourbon is gonna be much better but yeah uh patron liqueurs tequila lots of different tequila i see the jose captain morgan's and myers bacardi yeah oh my days of liquor drinking are over we've got a lot of different sake way too many to shake a stick at sake uh nihonshu yeah this is just alcohol lovers land right now there's some more in uh cartons and then they do have wine they have a pretty good selection of wine here lots of international stuff lots and lots of international stuff and then uh i think there's a few i don't know where it is but they they have a few that are like from japan [Music] i've seen them before i don't know where in this store though but yeah champagne i just think i saw some champagne anyways oh yeah here's a champagne cooler [Music] you don't really see a champagne cooler in other supermarkets so that is something uh i'm like wow you don't see that often yeah more liquor liquor liquor lots of liquor all right what do we got down these house uh ah drinks water water these are standard drinks that you can find in any convenience store tea lots of different tea milk tea coke coca-cola pepsi uh what else and then same on this side they've got all the juices and the teas unrefrigerated and here's ice cream uh they've got the karupis ice bar nice i love these ice boxes this is a lemon flavored ice box it's essentially just a container with ice in it and it's flavored and you can just pour like your drink in there and it's really good it's really good especially with those alcoholic drinks like the strong zero or something chocolate bars yeah i can't eat any of these dairy ones i will instantly crap my pants um but it looks so good it looks so good yeah these ghana garnet chocolate bars man that looks great okay oh protein bars energy drinks there's even a book stand right here they've got all these different recipes and magazines about cooking that's cool maybe this is what some of you guys might have been waiting for the candy aisle this is a children's section right here especially these little things but they're really cool they're essentially like you make it you're like diy make it yourself little candy treats candy uh sushi here's like a candy hamburger set and so you get them and you mix all the stuff together in these little trays and molds and stuff and so this is something that's been around for a long time i remember doing this stuff when i was a kid back in the 80s and they still got them still got them yeah like this different different kind of mochi molds there's a bunch of different gummy candies so many different sour candies coca-cola flavored uh it's just overwhelming guys overwhelming trying to see if anything stands out is like really like wtf uh what is this cookies and cream cookies and cream oh it's like a little crunchy bite thing um watermelon candy oh my god it's it looks like a little watermelon this is uh over here is cough drops this is all noto ame yeah for sore throats and stuff vicks drops those kind of things they have a lot of different types here in japan uh here's these little like to go snacks these are good for little children i'm surprised nobody has come up to me and told me to stop filming i'm blatantly filming um lots of different chocolates this entire section is chocolate they do sell these kinds of cacao 86 dark chocolate let me know are you guys milk chocolate or dark chocolate team dark chocolate or team milk chocolate let me know in the comments i'm a dark chocolate i'm a dark chocolate kind of guy on the left side here's more kind of like beer snacks dried fish sausages beef jerky beef jerky is pretty expensive here in japan like this this pack is only 38 grams it's very little but it's 328 yen um a little over three dollars and uh nuts are also very expensive so like here this is a 145 gram bag of pistachios for 480 yen that's that's pretty pricey and uh this section is the more kind of traditional old-school candy like this is this is the stuff that everybody grew up with back in the day they've just got like these old they still use the old like kind of uh logos and packaging it's very nostalgic for many many japanese people um oh look oh there's a whole bunch of what the anfan section cool i grew up with that cartoon yeah so um you know this is where they got like the ramune candy and little like little sugar uh chocolate little balls inside of a thing like these are all really cheap like look like 19 yen like i remember going to the corner store with my brother and we would get stuff for like 10 yen these little like gum gum candies and stuff it's like super old school yeah here's the yeah let's continue okay we've got uh lots of different rice some of these come from local areas other are you know brought in from far away uh japanese rice cracker snacks
