and we're back with some more oxygen not included and finally we're taming the fire planet today i am not leaving this any longer i've taken way too long about uh finishing this off i think the first thing we're going to do though here is we are going to take a piece of advice in the comments if we deconstruct that tile there we should be able to just pour a bunch of that magma out of there into here and then that gives us a nice tank close by where we can dump all the rest of this we just want to clear this out so that we're ready to build in here that's sort of the main goal get this all built up and get ourselves a functional base so that we can move our new duplicate in this may of course result in a lot of magma flowing dear lord okay let's see how much of a drain that will be all right at the same time i think we're going to stick with the four tile high rooms we could probably make this more efficient but you know what let's make this a nice place this is where duplicates are yeah we're gonna leave a duplicate binder we might as well give them a nice place to live it's it's a horrible fire planet but at least we can give them some decent immunities even after all this time there is something sort of hypnotic about watching all the liquids flow in this game i know it's the simplest of mechanics but it works just so well you can see it there yep yep that that's about to go and it'll slowly slide all the way back all right i think we'll move some bottle empties closer to here so we can finish this off faster now that we've got the space we have to decide how we're going to use it efficiently and i think we're going to have a separate storage area that's going to be in a vacuum the reason being most of this stuff is just so hot we can't keep it anywhere near people we need to keep it on the opposite side of an airlock and the only thing we're going to have to put in that lock is going to be water um not going to like that i i would really prefer petroleum but it's just the way the cookie crumbles right now we'll use some temperature shift plates and some cooling loops to make sure it doesn't hopefully boil if someone drops something in it but it's not going to be perfect at the same time this is going to be the we're going to have this area in here is going to be your core base that goes you get gain access to this liquid lock and then down here we're going to have your storage area where we store all of our resources until somewhere down about here we're going to cut it off before the volcano well that's the plan we'll we'll see if it holds up one of the really painful things about working in this environment is every time you build something if something lands on top of it it ends up getting too hot for example if i say build uh this down here okay great that that won't end up cool though because what will happen is when we deconstruct these ladder tiles to get rid of them because they're 1400 degrees the debris will fall on top of these and immediately heat them up so we're trying to keep everything at 45 degrees so we just have to be really careful about where all the debris lands and sweeping everything up we need to get all of this hot debris out of here and into here before we start oxygenating this place and putting in a water pool actually where are we going to put our water um and you know what we'll finish at the basic outline then we'll worry about a an actual water pool this down here is going to be our little water pool now i've stuck about 10 storage bins down here set to two tons and they're set to hold ice now all we gotta do is decrease the priority and this down to say one and they should start taking the ice out of here and bringing it outside at the same time we've lost two suits too the atmos are now worn and we're down to our two final atmospheres though that just happened recently this new atmosphere wearing out thing is not gonna be a problem we brought some red fiber and we can build ourselves a suit repair station so we can repair the atmosus oh but we will have to make sure they get end up back inside the spacefarer module otherwise yeah they'll be stuck out here and i think we're going to turn this picture pump off for a minute but once the picture pump is off they should concentrate entirely on the ice which is what we want them to do all right and then once all of those are down there the hard part is going to be we're going to have to dump some heat into it i was thinking we'd probably throw just a little bit of igneous rock in with them a little bit of hot igneous rock or something like that should help melt them because yeah minus eight degrees and there's literally no atmosphere so they're not going to melt anytime soon well that was unfortunate yeah so well it turns out when they were traveling across here bringing the ice they got called to lunch right here standing over the pitcher pump and that meant they dropped the ice right into the magma this was the only spot i was worried about that but i thought it's two tiles it's unlikely all they got to do is make about 10 20 trips and they're just not gonna not get caught launched in these two tiles anywhere else along this trip they're fine it's just that one spot so yeah they could call to lunch in that one spot great so [Music] great so [Music] great so yeah i wonder why someone's getting scalded uh why why are you getting scalded in here you're not getting scalded in here that's good that's good no one should be getting scolded in there [Music] um i think i think we get everyone to crew up you know what we'll get everyone to crew up once you've deposited that ice i am going to get you to crew up everyone's grip we'll wait until this uh this all blows over that's just way too much hot steam now it should vent into the background of space and when it does we can come back out again that is just enough oh no i'm gonna have to demolish all those tiles and start again why oh brilliant brilliant you gotta love this game and all it will always find a way to mess up your day most of the steam had dissipated evaporated into the background of space and then it turns out there was actually a big blob of ice right there so anyway anyway yes we had another little bit of a blast and now a whole bunch of stuff is melted and what was that made of yeah some aluminum melted great did that end up in yeah oh my god thank you ani for just reminding me reminding me that no never leave anything to chance nothing just oh damn you it's fine it's fine we'll uh well on the bright side the ice down here is gonna have a good chance to melt right there's some there's some hot atmosphere around here though we did lose about oh oh three tons a little bit over three tons of ice it's fine we we can do another run what the hell is that sand oh wow we've got more sand now i think that was some dirt or something i don't know i don't know it's almost cleaned up i think we're down to about the uh the minimum amount that gas should start to dissipate and we can finally go back outside again ah yes good times thank you ani thank you so so much now everyone back to work back to work no more lollygagging around inside there no just just deconstruct that we don't want that anywhere near us right now just get go get rid of it get rid of it yeah there we go no no we don't igneous rock we are going to get some insulated obs we're going to get some insulated igneous rock we're going to put that across there that way if any more ice falls it won't fall on anything hot that's all we're going to do make sure it doesn't fall on anything hot and we'll be fine good times we can't get the last of the ice out of the ship because free eclipse is down here frantically trying to get the little pieces of steam that immediately are to touch the containers and then immediately turn into ice we'll make it sweep only we'll make it sweet pony fruit loops it's fine you can you can you can relax for a minute and stop the shuffle instead we will disable this one and that will give us a lump of ice which we can then sweep there we go see there's always a way around these things then we just gotta find out some way of cooling this place down again to you know something livable also this is where i was going to put in our sleepweed farm i was going to sleep when farming across here a little bit warmer now but you know i think we can still do it probably well this is turning out to be a nightmare i can't get the iced i was trying to put some ignis rock in with the ice but i can't do it because they keep picking up the ice nearby to throw it in and then some steam occurs it turns back into ice and then they just they're constantly picking up tiny micro pieces of ice to sew in so we are going to throw in a bunch of igneous rock into these 200 kilos of igneous rock once the 200 kilos of igneous rocker in we will then throw in some ice on top of it then we can hopefully get enough heat to just sort of melt the ice or at least start helping to melt it what's its temperature it was at minus eight we're down to minus 6.6 all we have to do is dump you know three tons of water in there my accent ah what a mess what a glorious mess we have a little bit of water and some of it's too hot why is that getting so hot so quickly what what are you doing oh yeah there's a bunch of igneous rock and you're dumping temperature into it i think we may have to get rid of some of that igneous rock really quickly oh my god i don't know we're going to save this water we're going to keep this all this water for us all right okay well that's going on this is um we're gonna build a wall of this down here so that wall and so this will be our core base this here will be sort of storage and we'll probably have to we're gonna have to tap into that volcano at some point but for now um i think we start working on this we're gonna be turning this into a seat wheat farm well a wild steep wheat farm so we're going to need some more natural tiles by doing some iron or trick shenanigans here with doors there we have plenty of tiles to get ourselves some a little bit of wild farming going on now i'm putting in a power cable through here because i want to get our suits sorted uh just uh if we do another atmosphere while we're down here we're going to have problems so let's immediately grab ourselves one of these stations put yourself down a quick exosuit forge it we'll we'll make it out of steel i i'm still pretty concerned that we're going to end up overheating something somewhere and once that's hooked up we can repair our current suits that we've brought with us and then jam them back in the rocket we should we should probably be okay we've got plenty of reed fiber to keep us going and there's keymaker getting to work and done and done two fully repaired suits or just one two yeah durability back to 100 we'll just cram those back in the rocket and i think we'll be good to go for a little while longer what's our oxygen at 16.7 perfect we've got tons of oxygen left literally and carbon dioxide is well under control anything that gets up to the gas pipe gets uh sucked out oh and as for polluted oxygen we've had no problems with polluted auction since we installed this deodorizer and the deodorizer barely sips any material at all i think we started with 320 tons of sand and it's still at that point the only thing i worry about is we might accidentally take sand in from outside and put it in there but we'd have sand in the capsule so we should dump the sand in the microwave no no no we'll worry about that later if it starts to get too hot in there i'm sure we'll get warned and if that happens we'll migrate some water in there or something we can fix it all right next up we need to decide on living quarters and i kind of wanted to put in an extra steam turbine uh reason being we want to sort of keep this entire place down here at a very chilly temperature well cold enough that our sleepweed can grow we also want to pressurize this so i suppose let's put in some backing plates first and we'll make those all out of igneous rock because we have loads of that stuff lying around and we can just do it like that oh get rid of this we don't want it and once we have all of those in place we can start pressurizing this place with oxygen uh is it necessary to do it now probably not in fact we may hold out you know what we'll hold that for now we've got plenty of steam in there to keep this tight is over for a little while longer liquid lock in place though it looks a bit funky with that uh air flow tile there the air full tile just makes it look weird but you know it's definitely a solid liquid lock uh those pneumatic doors they uh even though they have the vacuum of space behind them gas can't escape though none of the gas is going to make it past that point anyway because most of it's just micrograms of the stuff and it's just uh it keeps turning right back into water the moment it's exposed to anything i suppose we could put a yeah we could dump a ton of oxygen here if we need to and we'll maybe just finish that off there and once that's done this area here is sealed off from this area and a little bit of gas maybe just to see if we can pressurize this up a bit we'll need the gas pressure so that we can drop a critter in here pips don't plant in a vacuum they need to have a gas pressure to plant we're going to put 200 kilos of oxide and oh my god they dropped it right there perfect we'll put uh 200 kilos of oxalate right there immediately dump it on the floor and oh yeah they're going to bring it back aren't they never mind all right the oxygen is finally spreading out had a bit of a time getting past this point i think it was just the the steam wouldn't let it buy well with that done we can get rid of those background buildings that should have auctioned into that place nicely and when all the steam finally condensed or okay the majority of it we can finally clean up the mess that this place is and there we have technic living quarters we haven't actually planted anything yet or put in any facilities but now we finally can oh feels like this took an eternity the first thing you want to build in a new colony of course is toilets and once we've cut these toilets set up we're going to feed it with water from down here and then all of the waste water we're actually going to throw it into our cooling loop up here we want to extend on this cooling loop to sort of cover this area because well things aren't perfectly temperatured in here there's been some minor complications but that's fine we can extend this cooling loop a little bit of polluted water and we can create the polluted water using these toilets i don't know if we'll get around to doing full showers we've got we've got a little bit of time but that should sort this out nicely next step here is we're going to put a pip up there and we're going to get it to dump down all these 40 acorns and we've blocked off all the other areas so it has to do it from right to left if i recall though yeah let's hope i'm remembering this correctly i'm not going to look it up i'm just going to wing it so we've changed mother lord to do ranching we can always still scrub them in a bit we've got the pip good to go we'll have the pip moved over yeah we'll have the pip moved over here once the pip is at this location we can start the planting procedures and once that's done we'll have to go down here and start planting some sweets and maybe a couple of reed fiber as well just to make this place perfectly sustainable uh though once this is done and once that toilet is good to go we are going to disable the toilet inside the space for our module so they use this one all the time oop planted their first tree so we can start discus disconnecting that there we go first tree down might be a little bit warm in here for them but they'll we'll sort it out now they have a little bit of a reset timer so it's going to be a while before they pass the second one but as long as i come back every so often and keep doing either lag deleting ladder segments they'll do that all the way across now next up with that configured that means hmm should we get bedrooms in here let me think no no no we don't have time for bedrooms just yet i think uh the next thing we're going to do is we're going to sort out the the heat up here the trees are going to well they're going to be stifled until we get a little bit of cooling this place is a little bit warm but what i want to do is i want to have a two-part cooling loop i want to have this place cooled to well a comfortable temperature for the tree say about 30 degrees but i want to cool this down here to about well one or two degrees so i want to keep this really cold but i want to keep this a little bit warmer so what we're going to have to do is sort of make a little heat exchanger here make our cooling loop really cold but only bleed off as much chill as we need for this area i'm thinking for a cooling loop or a temperature management loop we'll just use gas we'll use some gas piping and oxygen probably yeah we've got oxygen as plentiful i suppose the plant here is going to be very very simple we're not going to over complicate this at all we're going to try not to we're going to have the water come through here and cool down this metal a tile this aluminum and this aluminum will get reduced in temperature to you know whatever we set this to say about 2 degrees and because this is at two degrees the gas going through here as well they're gonna have some gas going through here these metal tiles and whenever the gas in there gets too warm this metal door is gonna close and uh the cold from here well it's gonna just suck heat out of this side and cool down our gases basically well it'll probably make more sense once i get it up and running i want to make this a bit more stable we're going to throw on a gas reservoir that way we can sit a stockpile and you know get some flow control sort of like we do with this liquid reservoir which has a bunch of germs in it damn it uh you know what let's let's turn the cooling down on this again so we can kill the germs in fact we're gonna have to turn it in a lot aren't we if you want it down to the correct temperature for where we're going we're gonna we're gonna try three degrees that should be just about right we want to be a little bit careful though we don't want to we don't want to go too cold all right let's uh jump back in once the dupes have finished all of this and out yeah i think they just repaired another suit automatically yes they did alright so we've gone through our second batch of suits we are just about ready to start this up but first we'll we'll do a little changes over here one thing the pliers tool is back oh my god i've missed that so much so what we will do here is we will connect that that way and disconnect it that way and hook it back up that way there we go now all the water will flow through here through this metal tile and start cooling it down nice down here we've hooked up a gas pump which is well it's going to get grab oxygen from this room we don't care about how much pressure we remove for now we can always put in some more oxide but the plan is this passes through here oh what's the temperature at oh 48 degrees gonna make that below if it's below you want to close those doors and it starts drawing heat out of this side well wait no that's wrong i know when it comes to coal is actually just an absence of energy so but i'm going to phrase it badly all the time anyway so anyway that will provide cooling to our oxygen and slowly but surely we're going to drag the temperature in these rooms down to actual livable levels though it might take a little time might take a little time indeed and let's speed that along at the same time we're uh slowly but surely removing ladder segments here and the pip has industriously been planting i think what we're going to do is put our oxygen container down here the reason being i think we were distracting the pip by having an oxide container it could dip into and keep you know distracting it from planting the trees nice once that's done with that cooled we're going to want to extend this cooling loop down this one here probably will make a break off down here bring it down and bring it down into this watery area we want to take this whole place down to sub-zero temperatures or almost zero temperatures so we can start planting sleet wheat in these tiles oh and we ran out of iron ore for the doors in the end we had to use gold amalgam but you know gold amalgam iron ore planting crops in that i'm sure there will be no heavy metal poisoning at all oh here comes the pip again let's start deconstructing the next one how are we looking there gas temperatures are yeah not where they want to be let's give this a few minutes i think we can definitely change the temperature around here that is gonna take a while yeah i forgot there's all that blacking plates so there's an awful lot of obsidian backing plates there which absorbed an awful lot of heat when that steam went through unfortunately but it we can give it 50 60 cycles we're in no rush and we've got plenty of cooling to go around if we need it anyway with that done it's time to start concentrating on the other mistakes i made the other one being well when someone goes out of here they need to go into an atmosphere duck and we can't really squeeze one in there there's just not enough space so we're gonna put our atmosute ducks here hmm which leaves us a problem that means we can't continue this ladder down we have to actually block this off which means problematically we're going to put our atmosphere docks along here and we're going to have to move all these gas pipes let me see to maximize this space in this room i think we're going to have the exit of it down here just because it's under the door that should keep our room bonuses intact yep and duplicates consistently walk up here and hop out either side and then we'll seal this in across the top and make it one whole room there we go now we can turn this into a uh what should we call it atmosute dock slash dining area uh that should work we'll stick in for atmos suit docks a bunch of mess tables which you made out of niobium namely because it turns out i had no idea this was a thing but you can make my staples that have a lot of metals but niobium appears has the best decor uh thermium doesn't actually have it but this one gives it plus 50 decor and none of the others do i think gold amalgam comes the closest at plus ten percent um suppose why not oh we're gonna need to put it in a uh a statue as well to get ourselves into a great hall so there we go we're just going to make it out of gold we don't even need an artist to do it up we just needed to give us enough decor to hit the the break point so this turns from a dining hall into a great hall uh okay it's a little bit too big for a dining hall but for a great hole not too big at all and done perfect now only the sleeping spots for everyone let me think about this for a moment there we go that should be fine we'll uh we'll have this special comfy bed for whoever the permanent resident is and we'll have these regular cots for just our visitors our visitors being our three dupe actually our three duplicates on the rocket can fit into a slightly smaller space than that i'm thinking we can squish this over just a tad there we go of course i forgot to include the cooking grill area so we're sticking a grill and a refrigerator so now we can cook down here we'll have the food put into the refrigerator uh we're going to have to power that of course which we are we're literally going to pay the power costs solar is just oh so useful and then that will spread the atmosphere docks and our expresso wait a minute why is that an espresso machine turns out the t-station mod is not updated for the the new patch or the dlc so unfortunately we got rid of the coffee station and replaced it with an arcade cabinet we're probably gonna get a few wire breaks now but you know what who cares that thing's about how much does the power draw nothing is 1200 watts yeah that's gonna cost us but it'll be fine it'll be fine it just let's hope the extra suit forged the arcade cabinet uh don't go on at the same time otherwise we'll probably get a few issues no on the water pump yeah a simple plan this is going to take a really really long time to cool everything down but we'll come back and maybe uh give it a boost with some cold water at some point but for now what we want to get done is sort of maybe expand this out but i'm thinking we're going to put our oxygen supply down here and we're going to let the hydrogen float up to the top we're not even going to bother trying to put in some sort of elaborate system it's not worth the effort and then we'll just use a gaseous filter to fill up the atmosute docks so yeah we'll just stick an electrolyzer down here at the bottom of the ladder system and be done with it simple as liquid pump pumps liquid into the electrolyzer electrolyzer is powered off the main grid and the oxygen it produces will float up along with the hydrogen uh though i might want to put in some extra airflow tiles i've been trying to keep the air flow tiles as we go just so that we have a three tile wide gap just for the oxygen to flow all the way up and the hydrogen of course and we'll put some hydrogen filtration at the top to suck out the hydrogen when it collects the trees up here if we'll check uh was it they don't seem to care all they want is air pressure they don't really care what the air is made of so hydrogen won't stifle any of this we'll sort out a bit of a sensory later on but we shouldn't have to worry until we start moving people in here all right and oh come on just finish that off then once that's done we can move the critter down here because well we've planted all those trees they're not quite up and running yet but they will be soon enough we'll get the temperature down there just take a little bit longer and we can just watch them have a quick play of the asteroids game i wonder what happens if the screen is different if both of them play at the same time i should really check that some time we'll just get this finished slight change in plan i've realized uh we've got to leave somewhere for us to put in the refinery for all of the wood we're making so we're going to squeeze in a petroleum generator and a few things here we might um we'll fit something in here i think we'll squeeze it in we'll make something happen but in the meantime we finish this off once that's done we're going to have to pop back home and pick up a few things namely a bunch of fish so i think we can get the cooling lip going i was thinking of just extending this cooling loop on but then i realized that's just way too much effort instead what we can do is we can replace those tiles there with metal say we can grab some aluminum replace all that with aluminum and then we'll uh place another layer here and we'll just run a second cooling loop down here just using normal water since it's already temperature controlled we don't have to worry about a passenger the aqua trainer we can get area with just normal water as opposed to the polluted water which has a lower temperature to work with maybe we could also use petroleum no actually we'll save the petroleum for something else all right so let's just give me five minutes let's start this out to try and prevent us from losing any gas we'll just sort of squeeze things in that way and hopefully build the tiles above them shouldn't be too hard very simple plant we double layer the aluminum this liquid is oh damn it let's maybe stop that for one second first you want to replace the that in there with something a little bit more conductive we do want those pipes being regular a little bit of yeah we got plenty of aluminum we brought with us we'll just replace that with aluminum that will give us far more conductivity and then we can replace it put a layer of other tiles right beside it this is a very simple cooling loop uh we just have another we're going to have another loop counter flowing opposite that one it's going to come all the way down here and flow all the way through our icy area we're gonna make sure to cool down the water we're gonna cool down all of this crop area it's going to put an enormous load on the thermal aquatuner over here but you know what it'll catch back up it's got time let's just have a quick finish of this and then load up this loop all right all done we've got our little loof finished now we just gotta fill it full of water and hook it up to this cooling section up here well it's already hooked up it's just a case of as the water transfers to here it could be coming in about 40 or 50 degrees i'm pretty sure yeah at least 40 or 50 degrees to start we haven't actually made these tiles out of anything conductive just yet reason being we want to see how much heat this is going to transfer at the start plus there may be some extra hot tiles here we don't want to really interact with so we'll let this run for a few minutes and just see exactly how much temperature the water is going to carry through it before we start messing around with it one thing we can see immediately this is coming in at 41 and coming out at about 13 or 14 yeah all right we're going to be putting a lot of strain on this cooling loop but we're filling up our system and what is there water looking down here yeah we've got plenty left over i think that's just about it we'll leave it there for now the uh little top-up bridge here we'll leave that there until it's full but i'm thinking it's time for us to go back home and get some supplies we need to get some sleep wheat grain and one of those reed fiber we need to read fiber plants so that we can make sure there's sustainable reed fiber here for the permanent resident we're going to be leaving behind done by the time you return this whole place should be icy cold and ready for uh colonization the liquid cooling move comes down here and we've put in a few pieces of aluminum we don't really need an awful lot and if you'll check here the temperature is starting to look better we've put a layer of insulation here we don't want to freeze the whole top half we want to make sure that the trees stay going and our first three uh three trees have started to spread which is great uh i wonder if that's gonna interfere with the growth of that tree uh probably not it's fine and over here if we just check we can see the water is coming in at 29.5 and going out at 15. yeah it's it's definitely putting a little bit of a strain over here on uh on our activity but dear lord the acqua tuner can eat heat like a beast nothing's doing an amazing job we'll soon have this place in uh in sleep wheat condition in no time nice um tomorrow morning first thing we're going to do is going to get everyone actually what's the point i think we'll just get everyone together and send them off um i think we've got everything we need done here we just got to come back with the fish and we need to set up the petroleum uh the ethanol facility wait wait wait before we go we have to make sure the trees are fixed and we need to make sure they're all growing it takes what oh like 16 32 cycles it's gonna take a really long time for them to mature so what you want to do is get them started now we're going to throw in a quick liquid loop here instead of gas the liquid loop will cool this an awful lot faster it's just liquid carries so much more mass we'll siphon off some water from here that's at 32 degrees it should help stabilize this whole place rather quickly and we can finally get all those trees growing this should only take a couple of minutes and done that's the coating well that could quickly have started we haven't put in any pieces of radiant pipe just yet except up there where it's going to do the heat exchange that should work out we'll we'll see how even this is this is not going to be a perfectly balanced cooling loop it's uh just the water is going to get maybe too chilled at some times uh maybe not enough oh should i really put it i should put it in temperature sensor shouldn't i you know what we'll let the gasoline do it it'll be close enough i mean it should work out roughly the same let's give this just a couple of minutes to make sure we get we've got it all running this was a quite a decent success we got all the trees up and running in fact the base is starting to look a little bit rainbow rainbow colored we've got this uh nice cool area down here which is only going to get cooler then we've got this boiling hot area in the middle and then we got this up here i think we're going to extend this uh the liquid cooling loop down a bit just to make sure we cool down this earlier the reason being if we don't when we stop it this gas loop is is going to get overwhelmed by the heat down here we should make sure these trees stay going that that's our only goal and we'll have this sort of hot layer in between the icy area and the rest of the base why not this i'll just just give you two more minutes i can't help myself oh i mean you might want to fill up those atmosphere i'm thinking a gas pump down here in the corner would not be a bad idea we'll put a little power powerless filtration actually we can leave that there we'll put a little powerless filtration system on it to filter out the oxygen it'll be it'll be a sweet little gig down there all finished ready to go now we just hooked up the power so this should start priming the loop with oxygen that's the first thing we get so the oxygen goes through there and this thing set to one gram a second so that'll keep a little loop of one gram a second which means you should get about 499 at the side is it actually a little nope 500 is fine so this means only oxygen will go in there if that ever picks up carbon dioxide or hydrogen it will get vented out this side instead just a nice way to make sure we only get oxygen going into our atmosphere docks and that that's done this should start kicking in though we're gonna have to go for the water source so we're gonna bring back another 20 tons of ice that should turn us over until we get our ethanol production up and running and up here how we looking yes the cooling loop has actually gotten everything running pretty much perfectly that's down answer about 30 you know what i think we can get rid of the liquid cooling loop i don't want to keep that there because well one second we'll get rid of that liquid bridge and the reason being oh we're going to have it end up with some cooling from this interfering with that and pumping oxygen from here it could get complicated so i'd like to just leave the gas cooling loop in place if anything changes in the future we can always make some modifications so we'll just uh really quickly get rid of this little cooling loop well it's time to leave and let's just have a quick memory here of what's going on green orangey kinda well no that's well not quite reddish but dark orange going out to light orange maybe a little bit of green up top that's the way we'll leave it for now now i would have liked to stay a little bit longer but unfortunately our atmosphere talks broke and i didn't bring any spare gold i suppose i could demolish some stuff but you know what it's fine it's fine as well as that one of the things i took a precaution on was the sand here it is getting used up but it didn't get used up as much as i was fearing but in case we ended up taking sand from the outside i dumped all the sand down here in the liquid tank so that it could get its temperature reduced that way if we did end up taking sand from here it wouldn't be you know boiling hot and cook our module for to death so that all worked out and we have our suits in there yeah and we kept our spare atmos suits in here just in case anything went wrong we need to replace the ones in the dock i think this is a successful mission now let's go grab ourselves a new recruit and come back and settle this place permanently it's going to be a 2.1 cycle journey home which will be unfortunate but once we're back home we can uh stock up and get ready to go how is our stixter ranches doing they are doing okay i was kind of expecting to have more someone go grab that sticker and put it into a firearm somewhere our slickster wrenches well they're expanding slowly but surely it was this slow expander it's gonna be about 100 seconds before it got to max capacity but we're at what uh 105.8 kilos it's still going up the gas pressure in here so we haven't quite got to the point where we're consuming as much carbon dioxide as we're producing maybe maybe eventually we will oh and we've produced a lot of petroleum to a lord that's a lot of petroleum it's nice in the background there's a few things we want to do one i want to start producing sleep wheat in base uh the reason being because well i wanted to go with this uh bristle blossom farm over here the thing is we're getting this excess water that's collecting and the excess water is happening because of the oil refinery well the petroleum boiler the petroleum boiler is consuming all of our crude oil and turning it into petroleum we burned the petroleum off it turns us into polluted water the polluted water we save and turning it into clean water and that clean water gets sent back to the oil wells however this does leave us with some excess clean water and we've been running it into here into the bristle blossoms however i think i'm probably gonna have to mess with their body temperature they're not they're not cold enough um you know what i'm gonna move it all up here we're gonna have this here area here be our wheat farm bristle blossom farm this sucker is just about to be ready to be fired up this is going to be our sleep weed farm it's it's not that complicated all right uh we hooked it up there we are pumping icy cold water here from our plated water vent we have way too much of it we're not using it our polluted slush geyser it is minus nine unfortunately that's too cold because once we convert it to clean water to pump into the suite it will freeze so instead what we do is we pump it through here this here is just a liquid temperature that's heating the water up until it hits one degree that's all we're trying to do and then the water that comes out the other side here is yeah it's just about the right temperature we just got to keep it above zero degrees then we send it across here and it cools down all this stuff and uh body temperature's still a little bit too warm we can we can work around this just got to do a little bit of a balancing act the plan is this one degree water will come across here cool down this area and then get into the water sieve come out either side won't crack the pipes because it's not below zero degrees and then get fed into the sleep wheat and the continuous flow will keep this whole area nice and chill fortunately it's already stifled the crops instantly uh let me think for a minute all right i know what we'll do we'll just get this water moving as long as we keep this water moving we should be fine uh the reason well the way we're gonna get this water moving is we're gonna connect it up down here this water for the longest time has been rolling down here getting heated up by this aqua tuner and then once it's warm enough which is about what 25 degrees or so it gets sent up here and pumped into the trees we wanted the the lumber and the the seeds but now i mean i've just left it going because we had no use for this water and because of that the water's been constantly cycling so with that hooked up we can just hook that up there a little bit of a disconnection and boom okay so now the water gets heated to one degree across there and gets sent down that should slowly drag down the temperature here and eventually all this thing will start growing again there we go first weed up and running now the second come on and because they're running now we're actually consuming some of that and some of this water is going to get added in so that will start getting colder as well and once we've got a bit of a flow get the temperature down this place will be perfect nice now the reason i want to grow a little bit of sleep wheat is just to have some backup we're slowly running out of the sleep we started what are we down to 141 kilos all the wild stuff has sort of well died there's a wild piece there but most of it's gone and i'd like to keep some because we do want to plant more seeds of that uh over here our bristle blossoms we've managed to keep them going by running this the water that was coming in was 50 degrees but we've managed to run it through here which is cooling it down just below the 30 degree mark and then we send it up uh the reason it's getting cool down here is because that polluted water that's going up to the trees yeah it's dragging the temperature down here around here down uh we might want to make this you know what we'll leave that at 25. this thing's been spreading a nice temperature gradient throughout our base what's what are we doing the blueprints nothing we care about anyway just one last check of things oh yeah i think we're almost at a time we are not almost out of time we are way over time again um there's a couple things going on in the background that i never covered this one was the nastiest this place here water where did the water come from i have no idea how water gonna well like i kind of think i know how water got in and started messing this all up and the water keeps turning to steam and then going back to water and it's deleted a whole bunch of the natural gas that was in here yeah best best that i can figure was well we said we set up all four oil wells but we're going to use three of them we're set for up for the oils but we only use three this one over here was inactive and what was happening was it would get so hot that the it was fine at first but then we made some smart decisions not those smart decisions were we would have the oil come over here cycle through this area to drag heat out of it and then cycle through this area to drag heat out of before going up and getting out of the base that unfortunately brought this whole area above 100 degrees which caused this just to boil the water inside it and because it was just generally not well it wasn't on some of the time because of the way this was set up we had four of them running instead of just three this one started boiling or some of them started boiling i'm not sure which but the water basically pulled out of them and this started steaming up and then it all ended up this side for some reason i have no idea it all sort of ended up migrating over here and yeah it's a ginormous mess it's wonderful we'll we'll have to come over here at some point with the full crew and try and clean it out because it's his glorious story's mess and i have no idea how this ended up so chill at one point this stuff was only like 25 or 30 degrees and there was like like several tons of water at 25 32 degrees over here and i have no idea how it happened not a clue i went back trying to look at all saves didn't help at all at all oh yeah and i ah damn it i'd gotten rid of most of the water over here i don't know where it's all coming from again yeah we'll worry about it later our swamp base over here got a little bit messed up because this water cooling was not cooling it down quite enough and the temperature in here went above 30 degrees for a while we've managed to fix it and how all the crops are growing but honestly we were actually getting enough food from the from the cooked fish so the cooked fish were keeping this whole place alive anyway didn't make much of a difference and where was the last place yes fire oni again let's have a quick look at the temperatures before we go it's down to seven degrees in here it's starting to get down to sleetweed territory uh over here perfect temperature and the trees are finally growing we've got ourselves a base all we need to do is plant enough food here to keep people going and uh we're sorted uh has that cooling loop looking we're sending of water at 5.9 comes back at 3.9 yeah i think i think soon enough this whole place is going to be ready for seed wheat how though are we going to well we're going to set up an ethanol refinery here right it'll take the wood turn it into ethanol the ethanol the burning of it will produce polluted water and then we're going to convert that polluted water to clean water with gulp fish we're going to grab some gulf fish like we've been doing over on stinkham we actually dumped a bunch of fish down here and they keep going up and well when they get through to the polluted water they end up sucking it up at about i think it's 200 grams per second uh yeah it works at about 200 grams per second and they convert it to clean water so as long as we do that what we can do over here in fire honey is we can dump save the polluted water on this side and the gulf fish will start turning the pluto onto clean water and by the time it gets over to the pump it should all be clean water well that's the theory i've never actually done it this way but it just means there's no sand required we can convert all our polluted water that way in fact we're even going to dump our toilet water in there because it's below zero degrees that will kill the germs which means by the time the water gets over either side all the germs are gone anyway theoretically we'll find out in the next episode anyway oh sorry about this lane getting out the last few just uh february is going to be a terrible month in work unfortunately um i should be able to keep up for the rest of the month but i i can't quite make any promises but march march there will be an improvement hopefully i'll get even maybe a little couple of extra videos in march to make up for it anyway i hope you enjoyed and good luck [Music] you [Music]
