okay so right here in my stream I have a SketchUp modeling of an office that I found in the sketch warehouse and I'm going to go through and teach you how we're going to take this from this level to more advanced so for this image right here we were first going to take a look at the composition of the camera so first off I want to make sure that I do have selected the two point perspective and that's because this option of the perspective makes all buildings and all vertical lines at 90 degrees now this is not 100 required this is just the most common way that architecture images aren't taken in real life so we're going to keep that at that level and then the second thing I want to do is I want to take the field of view at 70 degrees and now we can go on to actually creating our camera angle so we have to keep in mind that there are some other buildings around we're going to need to add some more context as well but first off let's just take a few boxes right here so for this image I want to take it from an angle like this where we can see the entries of the building as well as just two parts of the facade so I'm going to take it something like this I'm going to go ahead and use the safe frame tool which basically lets us know exactly which part is going to be captured in the final render and we're going to use the centering Rule now if you need help and guidance in terms of composition I recommend you to go to the video editor and click show grid lines and this so you can know if you've centered the image correctly so as you can see I had to do a little bit of more work to actually Center it the best way possible now I'm going to go a little bit more downwards as well and then look a bit up like this I'm going to leave the image at this angle and now I can go back to the view management icon in landscape I can click create View and I can just say camera one centering so centering is basically the composition rule that we are using for this image now there's also a few things that we have to take care of right now in the visual settings right here I'm going to go ahead and go to the image settings which we're going to take a look at later right now I want to take a look at the sky and the exterior lighting setting so as of now this is the default enscape sky and all the settings were obviously at default and as you can see it's not looking too bad but obviously I believe it can look much better if you use an ace dry image so if you're a beginner and you don't know what it is Right image is I can leave a pop-up of the video that you can see after watching this where I explain in depth everything about these images but essentially there are images that are taken in real life and we can import them into our enscape window and basically they will mimic realistic lighting from real life scenarios so to import them after you've downloaded them online you can go at the sky setting you can go to Source in the Horizon part and you can click Skybox and from here on out I'm going to go ahead add the azeri settings and I'm going to issues of midday so right now it doesn't look the best we still are not seeing the best effect all this as your eye however there is one main point that we shouldn't Miss which is the brightest Point as a Direction so once we click this the image will look more realistic well as of now it only changed the end of the Sun but that's all right because we're going to take a look at that later on but that basically detects which part of the Israeli is the brightness and that's going to be detected as the sun and that's where from the sunlight is going to come from so let's go back to our image Right Here and Now what we need to do to make this look even better is I'm going to tone down the sun brightness to something like 12 and now it looks a bit more balanced however I want to change the angle from which the sun is coming from so we can use this rotation slider right here so I'm going to click rotate so this building has a lot of glass and that's why we kind of have to be careful with where we place the Sun but I think and I believe that something like this would work all right now I know that this part of of the building is being more emphasized but we can kind of go from the other side as well and see how it will work with something a little bit like this because we definitely do want to also see the depth of all the three-dimensional uh structural pieces of this here and we're going to keep the sun angle at something like this and this is going to be the part that is going to be more highlighted with this Angle now we're going to come back later on to visual settings first off I want to make sure that I populate the scene and make it look much better so we're going to keep the enscape window on top if you don't know how to do that you can basically go at the end skip window settings you can go at preferences and you can just take the pin escape window on top of the host application that way it doesn't get off once you're working on the sketch printer or whatever modeling software that you are using so the first thing that I want to do is I want to give more context with some buildings in the background because essentially this is kind of administrative area of the urban plan on whatever City this was building right that's what I imagine in my head and I'm gonna go ahead and go to Street props and then at the street props in the enscape asset Library we're gonna go ahead and install a little bit downwards and over here you can see that there's a lot of ready to use buildings that are perfect just for giving more context to our site here so we can take this one and we can maybe place it somewhere around there maybe not so emphasized maybe move it a little bit like this and then we can add another one on this side and we can just kind of fit in with the rest of the composition let's see how this one works out so maybe we can move a little bit more to the front so let's just leave it at something like this for now I know it's not perfect it just kind of gives more context to the surroundings now I'm gonna add some trees and vegetation right now because I think that it's crucial to make this look much better so first thing I want to add some trees in this area right here so I'm just gonna go to the endscape asset Library we can do that in two ways we can use the landscape apps library and place the cheese from the SketchUp window or we can go ahead in the SketchUp window itself we can go at the endscape asset library and now we can use maps placement to actually make this much faster so what we're going to do is I'm going to select the mask placement tool right here in the asset Library I'm going to go at categories I'm going to choose vegetation and then add the tax here we're going to choose trees so at the tree section we're going to look for something simple something that we can kind of notice or see more usual in cities and stuff like that so let's just choose those two plans and maybe something like this after that we're going to move on to a lower level kind of visitation so maybe a few bushes so something like this and then also maybe something a little more irregular so something like that now I'm going to choose the paint bucket tool and we're just going to click on this one and now what we can do is we can just see that we can change also the density if you want more trees and we can also change the distribution if we want the more Jitter or we can do uniform and we also have to leave on rounds or meditation just to make it more regular and look better on this area so which is going to click preview selected area and then we're gonna see how it will load from this side and I think it kind of fills up that portion quite well so I'm just gonna go ahead and click confirm placement and apply changes now let's go back to our view and as you can see it kind of does a good job because it kind of takes off a lot of the attention that was being drawn onto that building so this is crucial to actually get very good images now that I'm seeing I want to change a little bit of the sun Direction so maybe I can go a little bit like this is a little bit better and I kind of like this one because it is more balance it is not so harsh on the Shadows over here but it's still showing the depth of the structural parts of the facade so now we're gonna do and continue all the same thing with some vegetation on this side as well and then later on I want to fill up these parts with some visitation as well now something that is crucial for this is to actually know what kind of visitation to use thank you so right now we just selected a few more trees and we're gonna move on to some more bushes and now I'm just going to select a few other ones to have it as regular as possible that way we do have some blending with all of a vegetation here so I'm just gonna click this and maybe I want some more cheese in the frontier which actually looks much better now and we can maybe lower the test a little bit and we can just click preview selected area and let's kind of see how it's looking as of now and we're going to get closer to it and I think this is very good to just give more context to this around the area but we're gonna see how it looks after we've gone to our camera setting that we did earlier we're going to apply changes let's go to the view and I think this looks perfectly fine I mean we maybe move the building a little bit backwards that way you can still see it because right now it's fully covered but other than that I don't see that we need more changes in terms of that part of the landscape so right now maybe it is a little bit better now over here we do have some wine space but that's perfectly fine maybe we can populate with some more build these to further over there and then we will also add a vehicle right here in the front so I'm going to go in the unscape asset library for you that you are not very familiar with how to use the enscape asset library in the enscape tab so I'm going to go to vehicles and I'm just going to search for something black looks a little bit more corporate you don't want anything super extravagant or luxurious car over here so let's just choose this audio so put it over there maybe rotate it on the side I don't like how it looks like that so let's just keep it like that and then we can just move this person from that side to over here we're going to try and put some plants with manual mode in case you don't have the most updated landscape version so you're going to go to the asset Library you're going to go to vegetation once again and now I'm just gonna go to bushes I'm going to select this one and then I'm going to select a few more so let's choose this rules Mary Bush and then let's just use a little bit more colorful one also maybe this one so I'm gonna make this one smaller immediately because I can just tell it's going to be way too large for this I'm going to place this right here maybe a little bit downwards just something like this let's place a few of these randomly I'm not gonna waste much time trying to place them perfectly because most of the time it just ends up looking worse because that's not how they're placed in real life anyway so let's just choose these two and we move on from there so now let's select the other one something like this we can use this on this side as well let's go over here use this over here let's rotate it and then this is pretty much it with the rosemary bush let's use these two so we're going to keep them grouped let's copy it on all of the signs and let's just copy them next to the ones we had earlier so [Music] okay so we can make this larger and now we can see that it has much more context than what it had in the beginning but now I definitely don't like these Hedges over here so either going to change those or I'm going to make them larger so let me try first to make them a lot larger so I'm going to select them let's just use this tool that can make them larger first so I think larger they look much better but obviously we're going to delete these ones because we don't actually need them this one as well let's see on if we make the tab larger you can see that it looks much better now that I'm looking at the image it kind of doesn't make much sense to have the car face on that side so we're going to move it over here it does make more sense to be over there because it just looked weird there now I probably want to add a larger tree so let me just check if we do something like this I'm just testing out the composition right now nothing is very particularly planned so if you move this like that it will kind of give a good framing to the actual image and what we can also do is I'm going to to copy those and move them over here that way the road looks a little bit more realistic and I'm going to move this backwards a little bit and now we can just see how much more the actual rendering has come to life just by adding context and all of that other stuff so I'm going to make this larger and see this once again this car is in the air so we're going to move that to the ground because obviously we don't want that to be like that even if we don't really notice these details sometimes it's very crucial to actually take care of this okay so let's go back to our view and now something that I definitely want to take care of in this image is I'm not very happy with the sun direction if I go with something like this it doesn't have much depth and I can also change it to something like this as well with a lot more reflection this makes it have more contrast but I'm not sure if I'm very keen on this but what we can also do if none of these actually work is that we can definitely change the age RI that we chose earlier so let's just make this change and see how it looks with this one I don't like how this one looks already because it doesn't have too much it just doesn't showcase the qualities of the building that much at least in my opinion so let's just choose this one so right now I'm gonna go ahead and take a look at the image settings or the visual settings so the ending quality we want it up to ultra because we can handle that and now I want to change a bit all the depth of field because I want to blurt out uh this front tree so maybe 25 is too much so I'm gonna go 15 and then if you want to we can manually change the focal point to focus where we actually want so maybe we're going to use the focal point onto the building and now I'm gonna maybe make the depth of a little bit larger and just see the effect that it has right now now I definitely want to add a building on the back there because it definitely gives more context to the whole site I feel like that is just way too empty let's just take all the bush tag we're gonna go to the street props once again and over here I'm going to go and scroll down and I'm gonna choose this one so I think this looks too identical with my one that we have here let's try another one so maybe this this is an important one called blacks but maybe it does give some context anyway let's take some of the trees and copy in front of that building maybe it's larger now it does have a better effect at least that's what I believe now let's move on to the image settings so over here we can either leave it auto contrast or we can play around with the highlights and the Shadows we can drop the shadows and make it much softer but I believe all the contrast just looks better in general usually with the saturation I leave it much higher because I believe that default saturation in enscape is a bit too low so let's try 108 and the color temperature is just fine maybe we can make this a little bit colder I think colder looks a little bit better maybe something like this maybe eight maybe eight thousand which album looks fine I think this looks much better and the other effects motion blur lens flare none of these I don't I've never used these I'm Gonna Keep the vignette on just for a bit of dramatic effect not too much but uh just to give you there and then at the atmosphere settings maybe we can try out a little bit of fog just to get even more Focus to the building that we have here we can change the height of it if that makes any difference but I don't think so we're just going to keep it at default so something like that and then for the sun brightness let's just test out if we make it even harsher so what about 50 that's a bit too much uh let's try 20. it does feel more balanced but I'm still not very happy with the sun Direction maybe we keep it something like this because the tree Shadows over here do give a very good effect as well or what we can do to make it look even better because I definitely do like this direction much more than the previous one I can make this a little bit smaller and then I'm gonna take off this building completely because I think it's giving Shadows over here and now I'm just going to add some of the trees in front that way we do receive some Shadows but it's from the trees and it does look much softer and not super sharp like the building Shadows but maybe we can move the cheese even closer that way the Shadows appear more now I definitely think it looks much better now let's take a look at some of the materials that we have here so let's take a look at the glass material and all that so let's use the glass material the specular is at the maximum so that is already set up correctly we can change the opacity if you want to we can lower it let's also take a look at these framing so this should be metal at 100 or we can leave it a little bit lower but what I definitely want to do with this is I want to make the color a little bit darker so let's just take this off now that is way too much maybe something like this and then the roughness we can make it like 70 I think that looks fine even though right now the metal is just way too reflective maybe we can lower the metallic value a little bit to see how this looks and now the roughness is way too too high so I'm trying to find a perfect balancer but let's try it a little bit darker now okay so this is a little bit better I think this is a little bit better so let's try and I actually have to also delete this bush at the front here because I completely forgot about it that we placed it earlier so I'm going to delete it and now I'm going to choose this pavement it already has all of the things set up for us let's also check the material over here because uh that definitely makes difference so I'm going to use the displacement map for the Albedo because I've been on top of my material and make the roughness at like 50 okay so let's go back to the visual settings we don't need the night sky brightness the shadow sword must we want it as low as possible these don't make much of a difference Sky settings we took a look at that earlier we're going to leave the resolution at Ultra HD and now let's just see if there's anything that I do want to change on this image I don't like that part over here so maybe I can just rotate the building do something like this and move a little bit backwards maybe this fills up the space a little bit better and I think the fog is a bit too harsh now let me just turn that back down a little bit um the sub brightness I'm going to test the final one once again maybe we'll leave it at 30. I think it gives more saturation so I'm just going to leave it at this and I'm going to create the filing
