all right I got the starter on not everything pretty well bolted up I'm going to pull ahead now because I need to put my 5020 head on there so what I'm going to be doing right now is taking this injector pump off these lines I already took the filters off so I got a little more room it's kind of weird pipe in there for some reason but I don't know that it's necessary or even belongs in there well I think it does as the water goes down on that one so yeah so that's what I'll be doing right now is getting the rest of this getting the rest of this junk off here so I can get a clear shot at this head now I have to pull these I got to pull each one of these injectors out because of this bolt is head bolt here you know obviously take the valve covers off and whatever else I can see in there you know the rocker arms all that assembly has to come out and I think I can leave well I know I can leave the water pump on so which is a plus because there's nothing wrong with it I do have to go get new belts because the ones that I have are really shot just I never changed them since I've owned this tractor in ten years this is a different motor obviously but this this yeah this pulley actually doesn't look like it's worn too bad I think I got more hours on my engine then what this engine has on it so hopefully jeté I get it fired up but it's going to take a little time get all this junk off here then I got to go over to that motor over there and do the exact same thing to that one as I'm going to this one and put all that junk on here so I'll get started now okay there it is without a head like half the engines gone all right yeah I have cleaned all the old gasket off at least most of it I always get a little pieces down there I can work out yeah but have you could see butt and cylinder walls are in really good shape there's no problems I can still even see some cross hatches they're not going to come up on camera when they honed when they honed this thing you know and they when they honed the cylinders the liner walls I'm not really seeing any any problems here with this thing at all really looks quite good I think it was overhauled this engine block was overhauled at some point because there's no way that has I think that I think that tractor had 7000 hours on it and you know for these old dinosaurs these big old blocks I'd be quite a bit and to still see cross hatches I can run my finger down here along the cylinder the cylinder wall and I can just barely feel but I think it's a carbon buildup and I can just barely feel a slight little lip there which is normal its well won't it sworn-in good pull a couple of lifters out to see what the cam looked like and that turned out to be pretty good so I'm going to scrape these little bits of gasket off of there real quick and I'm going to get my new head gasket which is in here oh very nice this inside that box there nice I'll lay that up on there and take a couple still shots and here's the here's your rocker arms and everything for it a different view here here's the part number for this piston now I looked it up in my book and it's it's a standard piston but my book says a are four one two nine three would be the standard piston and that's a AR four one two nine four a little different number I don't know what the difference is maybe there's heavier rings to it or something I don't know so I guess we'll I guess well we'll find out when I start the thing up if it runs any different but anyways that's my progress so far I've gotten the injector pumping all them lines are off of there I'm going to start putting it back together all right I got the new gasket just later on they're here at these guide pins right there I had to comp excuse me for sit on this wet stuff he's in here I just sprayed it down with a with a cleaner and I got to wipe out the Pistons and see all that carbon and crap it's coming in there there's some other dust and dirt that's in there so what I have I thank for the most part I'm ready to put the new head on which is out here and I'll have to take it off so I have to be gentle because here's here's where my there's one of my thermostats and stuff are now I did replace those a couple years back I think they're all right when come out and clean off all this muck and gunk and crap pull off that injector pump I can remove these bolts here without ever taking the injectors a so that's what I'm going to start on right now pull these filters off the stupid horn that never ever ever ever ever ever worked and as you can see this white snot that's from the that's from the failure of the engine of that liner so we're going to get this head off of here everything's good on it hang the well everything's good on just so I had this head off of here about ten years ago when I bought it the the only thing I was wrong am I bought it with a blown head gasket so you know I replaced the head gasket and everything ran very well up until the point that that liner let loose down at the bottom the seals on the liner so well now I got that liner issue and I bought this motor and I'll tell you I'm very happy there was only like one thing on this motor on that on this new motor that that was a concern of mine and I had bought the part and put it in it was just the rear seal they had this oh here it is here it it wasn't even the right one didn't belong in there this is just a standard oil seal and it was too small for the for the ring as you can see here it got hot it turned it blue and when it did it well that's where I knocked it off with the chisel you know you smack it a couple times with the chisel and it loosens it up enough that you can slide it off you don't hit it too hard because it'll score the score the back of the crank and you really don't want to do that but this one got so hot that it expanded and slid in and this oil seal here was then running on the crankshaft as well whoever did it didn't do a good enough job but there was no damage to the crank and I put the new seal on there which is kind of a trick but I'll put that new seal on there and it went on nice and tight like it was supposed to I did put a little bit of retaining cement on there like a lock tight type stuff just in four points on the new one just in case it did decide to slide you know slide across but I don't think I'll have that problem so I'm going to go ahead and tear that head off of this other one and then we'll get it over here and set it on here should be great I'm more than happy with the way things are turning out until then well there it is I got the head on my Chevy wrench there I'm going to throw that on the ground heads on valve cover is on new gasket there and off you see that ya see that I got this water hose it goes to the from the thermostats down to the pump I put that on and obviously the radiator is not there this is part of the old the other end you know I don't need that right now I know there it is what I'm going to do is I'm gonna hook up the hydraulic oil pump here even though having oil in it yet engine oil is fine I haven't changed the pan just yet I will be doing that probably tomorrow it's getting pretty late now I have to lift the other engine up to get that pan off of there but I got the starter on and everything's pretty well ready to go it's just going to be a matter of pulling this duct tape off and hooking up a couple of batteries and we'll start it and see what it does and it'll shut it off right away I don't want to overheat it because I don't have a radiator anymore in the jacket I just want to make sure it goes so
