raymond consider the lilies of the field how they grow they toil not neither do they spin and yet i say unto you that even solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these wherefore if god so clothed the grass of the field which today is and tomorrow is cast into the oven shall he not much more clothe you o ye of little faith therefore take no thought saying what shall we eat or what for us to be here yet and next beautiful sabbath morning to give the praise the honor and the glory that is due to our god he has called our names one more time and yes our names are on the wake-up list our theme for this morning is end it now bringing peace home today we'll be looking at ten little things to bring peace in the home which will be then bring peace in our society and we can find this on the ied website the home is the first school it is where the first training takes place it is where love and affection is taught it is said children live what they learn if they learn violence and abuse that is what they will give in return even at a tender age ellen g white in the book child guidance page 27.3 to 27.4 stated the youth should be carefully and judicially trained for the wrong habits form in childhood and youth often cling to the entire life experience may god help us to use the necessity of bringing up our children all right children grow according to the influence of those who surround them if they are handled by those who are noisy and boisterous they become noisy and most unbearable at this time we'll have our opening song 652 followed by our scripture reading done by nikara banzi and prayer by elder lorna [Music] there bentzy beauty all around when there's love at all there is joy in every sound when [Music] [Applause] [Music] the when there's love at all [Music] when there's love at all [Music] all the earth is filled with love when there's love at [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh there's one who smiles [Music] oh [Music] jesus made me holy [Music] [Applause] [Music] all [Music] with no sinful care distress through love [Music] when there's love [Applause] [Music] our scripture reading is taken from proverbs 22 verse 6 and it says turn up a child in the way he should grow and when he is old he will not depart from it here ended a portion of god's holy word this morning i have in my hand a tomato now if i should allow this tomato to fall on a number of occasions it will get soft if i squeeze it it will get soft and if i put it in something and it is pushed against some other things it will get squashed brothers and sisters this morning the bible tells us that we are all wonderfully made we are all unique we are of a royal priesthood and we all are genuinely treated as precious in the sight of god and if god treats us precious and as gems we need to treat each other the same way when a woman or a child is abused it leads to sometimes depression and sometimes suicide this morning we are saying end it no bringing peace home shall we pray our father what in heaven we come before you this morning giving you thanks giving you thanks for your love your goodness your understanding and your patience towards all of us father when we look at all that is happening around us on monday the article in the paper spoke about a woman who died because she was basically thrown acid on by our spouse father the abuse continues the abuse is there for children as well as for adults and for youth but this morning father we are praying and we are asking you please to end it no bring peace into the homes father when there's love at home then there'll be peace and so we ask you to replace all of that with your love lord we know that once somebody is abused when a woman is abused it affects her and sometimes affects the children it allows some children to drop out of school and at times it allows them to be exposed to violence that early age and so lord this morning we ask you to end it no father i pray that he'll touch all the persons who have been abused lord look at them look at their heart and if there exists any form of resentment to the abuser any form of hatred any form of animosity i ask you lord to remove it and give them a heart that forgives a heart full of compassion just like yours heavenly father i pray lord that you'll be with all the persons who have been the abusers lord i ask you to touch their hearts even now in a very special way let them remember lord that you're a god of love and a god of love lord you love us all with an everlasting love and you treat us all very special and lord help them as well to treat everybody special father if you are not in our lives then we will have hatred and so he asks that you will be the center of every marriage you'll be the scent of everything you'll be the center of everything that we do lord i ask you to replace all the animosity and replace the heavenly father with family worship replace it lord with kind words replace it lord with your holy spirit father once more i ask you to examine all the hearts of those who are listening exist any form of hatred animosity or resentment for anyone i pray lord that you replace it help us heavenly father to think of the things that are just the things that are honest the things that are good report and above law oh lord i ask you to give us a heart like yours in your son's name i pray amen amen amen amen for those who are just joining us our theme is end it now bringing peace who in these days that we now live our homes can sometimes feel like a war zone there are times that it may feel as if we are on a small boat far on the open sea waves crashing into us violently steering us into the wrong directions the wind sailing us further and farther from help it is as if we are in a storm and the only thing that we can see is destruction but there are some simple steps that we can follow to calm the raging storms in our homes the first one is speak kindly it's amazing our little kindness goes a long way to setting the tone at home and for many of us in our homes we do not speak kindly it is always seems to be an argument but we do not desire that the next one is gather regularly and we can do that when we gather for meals for family worship build back the family altar these are some of the ways that we can bring peace in the home we can also laugh readily give joe play games with the family we can also work cheerfully and we can do that when we share the work we can do that when we do the work without complaining be each other's burden bearer we can also do so by giving generously of our time our possessions and make the home a place of a kind loving opportunities and the sixth one is forgive quickly and for many of us in the homes that is where we falter we all grudges when a family member does something whether it be our children or spouses whatever it is we hold on to it and we don't forgive and when we don't forgive it hurt our hearts more than even the person that we don't forgive so this morning we are saying to you you can follow these steps and bring peace in our homes at this time we'll have a song by nicara bunzi and then we'll move on from there [Music] who've been in the storm and it seems like forever and your night of confusion has been too long your ship has lost anchor [Music] and the storm got you drifted just hold on to jesus and write out your story [Music] you may not feel him but you're not alone oh you're hurting now but your morning is coming just hold us [Music] [Applause] [Music] remember his promise he said i'll never forsake you though the waters are troubled don't give up the battle for your answer is coming just hold on to jesus and ride [Music] god is there with you you may not feel him but you're not alone oh you're hurting now but your morning is coming just hold on to jesus and write out your storms [Music] god is there with you you may not feel it but you're not alone oh you're hurting now but your morning is coming just hold on to jesus [Music] and write out your story [Music] hold on to jesus and write out your [Music] hallelujah praise the lord thank you jesus hold on to jesus and ride out your storms whatever it is that are happening in your household in your family remember that you can hold on to jesus and ride out your storm at this time we'll be going into our children feature followed by our adult lesson review but before we do so let us pray divine god and our father wart in heaven the one who created the events on the earth who rested upon the seventh day lord we come into your awesome presence calling upon your high and holy name as we come this morning dear god you see us you know us there's nothing about us that is hidden from you but we thank you that your grace and your mercies continue to be extending in our behalf and so dear god as we come this morning we pray for the homes that have abused taking place this morning we pray for our youth especially dear god that you will all them in the allied palm of their hands there are so many things that they're going through that they cannot even tell their parents because the parents sometimes are the ones who are causing the problem but god we are thankful that you you still rule in the affairs of man we are thankful dear god that whatever it is that we are going through you said in your words that we are touched that you are touched with the feelings of our infirmities and so dear god this morning we asked you to take control of everything that we will with our youth or our children our parents lord we have made so many mistakes but we are thankful that you're a forgiving god and that you will help us and bring us back to the place that you want us to be as we go into our lesson review this that you will give them a fresh anointing of your holy spirit that as your word go through it will go forth with power and clarity and those that are listening and hearing on the various platforms will receive a blessing and come to know you whom to know is life eternal thank you for your grace and your mercies [Music] happy sabbath everyone my name is daniel dobson and and today is memory verse is baby moses i am i am from old harvard sda church so what's the message we worship god when we thank him wonderful so daniel what is the memory first do you have my hiding place yes you are my hiding place and it's taken from psalm 32 first seven so daniel can you tell me about baby moses sure go ahead so so so so one of one of moses's mothers decided decided to float him down a river in a basket okay so why did moses mother decide to float him down a river a river in a basket because because because pharaoh decided to kill all the new baby boys in israel wow is that a good thing no no it's a bad thing it's a bad thing so what else can you tell me about baby mosey after he was placed in the basket what happened moses [Music] is his sister to look out for him wow and that's a good thing when you have big sisters right yes do you have a big sister yeah really what's the name of your big sister oh yeah okay wonderful so what happened tell me what's happened next uh who came who came who came and who saw baby moses in the river and what did she do she came with the baby she did wow so that makes baby moses happy or sad happy the end happy sabbath everyone the message we serve when we help others the memory verse romans 1 verse 16 i am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of god that brings salvation alive again there was a woman called darkus and she loved us so close for widows and then one day she got sick and died the widows put her body in a upstairs room and they went by her bedside then the widows learned that peter was in town that time so they begged peter to come and heal her peter came and he told the widows to come out of the room he left down and prayed to god then he said to darkas get up and she did then peter called in the widows and then everyone believed in god because of that miracle happy sabbath everyone my name is alden francis and i will be doing the junior lesson the title of the lesson is happy or sad praise god poetics do not be anxious about anything but in every situation by prayer and petition with thanksgiving present your request to god philippians 4 6 powerpoint we praise god for the gift of his grace whether we are happy or sad today's story is about hannah one of el canal's two wives who eventually was able to have several children and become a happy mother of several children however hannah can recall a time in her life when she was very very sad she was very sad because she could not have any children while pinana elkanah's second wife penena had children every year el cana and his family would all go to shiloh to worship and offer sacrifice to the lord hannah's husband would give her more than he gave to his otherwise benign children and hannah didn't she would oftentimes tease hannah this really hurt anna which caused her to cry and refuse from eating el cana noticed that hannah was on if he were not better than 10 sons to her one day hannah went to the tabernacle and prayed to the lord she asked for a child hannah promised that she would give the child to serve in the temple while hannah was praying in her heart but because priest eli didn't see hannah's lips moving he saw she was drunk the lord answered hannah's prayer and gave her son who she named samwell hannah kept her promise to the lord and as soon as samuel was weaned she took him to the priest eli so he could serve the lord both hannah and her husband el khanna worship god with praise and thanksgiving for all boys and girls god is also willing to grant you whatever you are in need of once it is according to his will so like hanus god bless you all [Music] [Music] as we see that god created the creatures in the sea whether fish or mammals or other uh creatures he created all of the vegetation he created the sun the moon the stars and the bible says that it wasn't only good but it was good good and you can finish with me very good and the bible says that at one point though that humanity in adam in this case adam said it was not good that man should be alone so god had created adam in his image and then adam recognized that he was all one or alone and the bible says that god gave adam and helper which was meat for him he created eve she was woman she was taken out of man and the first incredible thing that the man and the woman were blessed to do on this new rhythm was to worship god in a special way and not just a special way but a special way on the sabbath let me ask you a question i want you to go ahead and type it in the feed do you worship god every day be honest is it our privilege to worship god every single day that we live on tuesday do you worship god well i hope you said yes on wednesday did you worship yes but let me ask you another question and perhaps it's even more critical even though it is our privilege to worship god every single day that we live is it our privilege to make any other day holy and of course that answer is no so we worship god every day we live but only on the seventh day sabbath did god sanctify only the seventh-day sabbath did god rest on only the seventh-day sabbath did god bless or set aside for a holy use and so we continue we continue with the concept that god is the one that does the work and therefore god is the one who has the right to teach us to rest if god did not create the heavens and the earth we wouldn't need to listen to him if god did not also set us aside for a holy use and redeem us through the blood of jesus then we would not need to listen to him so what is the converse god has given us the command and the blessing and the invitation to rest but the prelude to rest is god's work did you get that if we are basking in the blessing of god's work then we have the privilege to rest in him well what did god do i already shared with you that god created the sun moon stars and all that we see on planet earth but sometimes we forget that in the ten commandments law in the book of exodus chapter 20 verses 8 through 11 there is a focus a focus about sabbath that has to do with the fact that god created all of the heavens and the earth but when we look at deuteronomy chapter 5 we see that god also as he shared or retold the same ten commandments law and the same seventh-day sabbath command he said i am the one who delivered you from egyptian bondage or captivity and so the same one who created us the same one who said let there be and it happened the one who worked in the creative process is the same one who accomplishes i think the bible says he who began a good work in you shall complete it until that day or until the end yes so the one who created you the one who also called you to be holy is saying in 2021 that you can be holy and rest in his work and so the thing about god's people that we need to understand is that when he created adam and eve he created them in his image bible says in the image of god created he him male and female created he them are you recreated in god's image think about it on what do you keep your uh best affections and thoughts is it about god or self nobody's looking no one's listening to your thoughts just answer the question between you and god if we have god as our supreme authority and the one in whom we give our trust and faith then we can rest in him now the bible teaches us that the commandments are true holy just and good let me ask you another question if god gives you a command is it holy just and good see i already gave you the answer i gave you the answer when god commands us to do a thing it's powerful it's promising see the entire ten commandments law is full of thou shalt and thou shalt not it also has a remember where the sabbath is concerned you see since god has your best interest at heart only good things come from following in his command he's not like those tyrants that may be wherever you happen to live in the world he doesn't just make up things arbitrarily in fact his commandments become promises he promises that if we love him then we will keep his commandments if we love him then we will be able to tell the truth at all times if we love him we will be able to not murder whether in reality or murdering people's characters and when it comes to the sabbath commandment that fourth commandment nestled deeply in the center of this ten commandments law if we love him then we will enter into rest with him in relationship rest with him in sabbath observance now i'm going to get just a little bit ahead of myself because i read the lesson for next week let me just say that only holy people can keep holy the seventh-day sabbath only holy people can keep holy the seventh-day sabbath so again god welcomes us into that kind of relationship so that we can keep the seventh-day sabbath it's not about us making up our own rules but let me say the children of israel after they were delivered from uh egyptian captivity they needed to re-learn the truth that he had already taught them and so god gave them a living object lesson in the book of exodus chapter 16 the bible reads beginning at verse 14 uh that that god had given the children of israel daily bread their daily portion when the people of god needed food miraculously you know what god did he provided what the bible says is what is it they saw this this something like a frost coming from the sky and it had a certain flavor that the bible describes and the people of god said what is it manna that's what manna means what is it and so as god uh took them from egyptian captivity he began to show them that he was the one who also would provide for them no matter what god provided bread from heaven i'm so tempted to sing the song but i won't but bread of heaven feed me till i want no more fill my cup fill it up until i have an overflow and so god taught them on this rhythm on this cycle that daily sunday monday tuesday wednesday thursday he would provide mana on a certain cycle and he taught the people temperance he said you will gather a certain rate a certain amount for each person in the household and no more and you will also receive that for the day that particular day not for tomorrow but for the day i think there is a lesson there for us does not the bible say that we are to really just deal with what is right in front of us that we are not to worry about the future because the future will worry about itself we don't worry about the past because the past is gone so sunday monday tuesday wednesday thursday friday something special happened on that day of preparation according to exodus chapter 16. and the bible says that on the friday that day of preparation god provided enough for the next day very interesting see god knew that the next day was the sabbath unto the lord and so he made provision on the day of preparation for his extremely special encounter of the sabbath he said you will gather enough this time even for the seventh day and so on the day of preparation he said bake that ye shall bake seed that ye shall see because tomorrow there will be none isn't that wonderful god prepared his children to rest how many of you are resting right now if i were to pull out my cell phone i would have an opportunity to either look at my notifications of the bills that are due look at the notifications of the many things that may be important from sunday to friday but on the sabbath i'm delighted to be able to hit the little thing that looks like a crescent moon and it has something to do with resting my notifications and i can say lord today it's just us i am willing to enter into that rest and the children of israel understood that in a live provision scenario the bible says in john chapter 6 that jesus when he wanted the people to understand relationship with him he wanted them to know that if they ate from him and drank from him they would never hunger or thirst again so this provision that god made for the children of israel in those days is applicable to us today to know that the same god who gave them their daily bread he will give us our daily bread did not jesus say that man or woman shall not live by bread alone but by every word of god are you ready to feast on the word of god today and so this is another opportunity for us to look forward to the day that jesus comes back yes i fast forward it because we only have a few minutes left in our lesson study but i made a illusion and then direct uh a counsel to creation i made illusion and then started to speak of redemption but let's focus in a little bit more on redemption on at verse 15 of deuteronomy chapter 5 which i would have mentioned to you a little earlier this time i want to read it the children of israel are preparing to enter into promise see exodus 20 they were coming out of captivity and that was fresh on their minds now we have a generation finally of people to include uh only two from the first generation that's joshua and caleb who would enter into promise or into the promised land long story but the bible says here in deuteronomy chapter 5 and verse 15 and remember that thou wast a servant this is about the sabbath commandment remember that you were a servant have you ever been a slave or a servant to sin has there ever been a habit that you could not break and you needed god to deliver you i think the bible teaches us in romans chapter 7 that there is the kind of person who for a time couldn't do good even if we tried we want to do good but we can't do it but we are bound to the law of sin and death and when we are in that state the bible teaches us that we can cry out to god and say lord who shall rescue me from this body of sin and death and then we can with the bible writer thank god as we transition to romans chapter 8 and understand that when we are delivered just like the children of israel were taken out of the land of egypt and he brought him brought them with a mighty hand he delivers us from sin in the same way even greater and we can transition to romans chapter 8 and verse 1 where the bible says there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in christ jesus who walk not according to the flesh but according to the spirit for the law of the spirit of life which is in christ jesus shall make me free hallelujah from the law of sin and death the pharaoh of pornography addiction can no longer hold me the pharaoh of over burden with debt cannot hold me the pharaoh of being proud because i have a microphone right in front of me cannot hold me the pharaoh of having to in my mind beat my spouse when the bible teaches us that we are to respect our household our spouses and our god and we end now the tyranny that is in our homes the bible teaches us here that with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm therefore the lord commanded you to keep the seventh day sabbath and so because god loves us he transitions us from just knowing about hearing about speaking about the seventh-day sabbath but we can espouse and hold and keep the sabbath holy why because i said in the beginning only holy people can keep a holy day so our god as we close right here our god has given us the privilege not to try to work our way into heaven because that does not work he has given us the privilege of resting in him in right relationship with him with his laws written on our hearts and in our minds so that when the sabbath comes we can celebrate from even unto even we can celebrate the sabbath which is a commemoration of god's strength in creative work and to recreate us into his spiritual image i'm going to pray one more time and then i'll let you go father thank you for showing us that you are always ready willing and available to give your people rest help us to accept the invitation in jesus name i pray amen and amen again amen praise the lord thank you jesus thank you very much elder david harris for so ably taking us through our lesson review this morning i know your hearts have been blessed and for you to participate you can just type in the chat your eye points and the lesson this week um as we continue for those who are just joining us our theme for this morning is end it now bringing peace home and as i continue to close this morning we look at the final four steps in bringing peace home and the seventh one is hug freely for many of us as parents when the babies are just born and they are all beautiful and cuddly we tend to give them a lot of hugs but when they reach teenage years we do not tend to do that anymore but this morning we are learning that we need to hug more it doesn't matter how big they are even when they become adults we are to still give them that hug that wrapping our arms around them let they know that we love them the next one is pray frequently the bible says pray without ceasing it doesn't mean that we have to be constantly on our knees but what it means that every step we take we can be communicating with god and for our children especially because we know that the devil is a roaring lion seek whom he may devour and this day and age his target is our youngsters cheer loudly as a family let your family know you are behind them support your children support your family members support your husband support your wives in whatever they're doing and this also will be bring peace in the home and finally love genuinely love is an action word and it means that whenever we love persons must be able to see feel and know that we love especially our family members especially our children i know i know but sometimes we forget all powerful love can be in our home and above all things a fervent love one for another love cover a multitude of sin first peter 4 verse 8 and that is where we say goodbye from sabbath school for today i hope you were blessed and we ask that you join us again next time at same place same time as we come and give praises on to our god but before we go brother courtney mccook will have our final song then we'll go over to pastor mclean thank you pastor mclean over to you amen happy sabbath my brothers and sisters we are here this morning for this special feature a moment in the word one of my favorite songs is found in the new hymnal love at home the words are as follows there is beauty all around when there's love at home smile doth softly sweetly glide when there's love at home love at home love at home god is always pleased when there's love at home this morning my brothers and sisters domestic violence is real there are a number of individuals who are being abused right now as we speak there are some ladies who believe that if they are not beaten by their spouses their husbands boyfriends it translates to the fact that these men do not love them but this morning i am here to destroy to re debunk that lie if you truly love someone you will not harm him or her and so we must begin at home how do i know that deuteronomy chapter 6 verses 6 and 7 declare and these words which i command you this day shall be in your hearts and you must teach them diligently unto your children when these children wake up they must be taught as they go throughout the day they must be taught and before they retire to their beds they must be taught about christian values and principles i am saying this on the background that our boys must be taught how to be gentlemen our boys must be taught how to love and respect women likewise our girls must be taught how to be ladies they must be taught to have respect and manners because these qualities and principles are fast disappearing these days when god made adam and eve he was very very deliberate he made adam first so that adam would have recognized how lonely he was without the comfort and warmth of a woman the bible tells us that god took a rib from adam's side he did not take it from his head that he should be more knowledgeable he did not take it from his foot that he should trample upon her but instead he took it from his side which symbolized that they should walk side by side and so today we are here to let people know domestic violence must end physical violence must end sexual violence must end verbal or emotional violence must end we ought to live together in love and unity and god desires that his children should love one another be creative be affable be in companionship the old adage says teeth and tongue will meet but we need to settle our disagreements in an amicable manner may god bless us this morning as we say to all women children and even men who are being abused end this don't stay in these situations we're saying to the abusers get help don't continue the abuse the cycle must end and by the grace of god you can get help because there is healing in jesus christ may god bless us this morning as we continue to look to jesus the author and finisher of our faith amen [Music] home is where the heart is and my heart is home though i never really had one for my own i've been given a key by the carpenter of galilee with interest paid the titles made out to me home [Applause] [Music] a place [Music] but his sweet face will be the first i see when my journey's over i am falling [Music] everybody dreams of going home it seems and lately i'm no exception to the rule but home is so much more than just the windows walls and doors a warm embrace a smiling face awaiting you home a place i've been dreaming of so but his sweet face will be the first i see when my journey's over i am going home home where there is [Applause] [Music] a place [Music] but his sweet face will be the first i see when my journey's over i am going home [Music] say when my turn is over i am going home [Music] going home [Music] amen absolutely beautiful it's one of my favorites did you see me singing along quietly of course yes that's right amen you know as you talk about the fact that we're alive and you know we've been talking so much about that because we understand the blessing of life that the lord continues to give to us we just want to pause for a minute or so to acknowledge a request coming from the west family sister andrew they are from the glen golf community as a matter of fact they're probably scattered all across saint catherine and across jamaica but they have asked us for prayer for the family because they have lost a stalwart and joey share with us the details please yes so the west family they have experienced a death in their family they have lost brother west he is affectionately known as uncle lee he's from glenn gough in saint catherine he was 96 years old and he was a seventh-day adventist for 69 years wow wow i can't say anything else but wow you know death is an enemy and we are always sad when we lose persons but we give god thanks that brother west and probably others who we are not aware of would have given their lives to god and would have served his church for decades i don't think any of us here no yeah definitely not there so we celebrate his life even though we continue to pray for the family so please understand that you'll be in our prayers and if there are others of you who would have had losses that we are not aware of understand that the cjc team is constantly praying with and for you amen amen and if you have any prayer requests that you would like to share with us we invite you to put them in the chat we have a team of prayer warriors standing by and we also have numbers that you can call or send a whatsapp message to so the prayer lines are indeed open so you can connect with us so that we can pray for you amen and as we continue to serve the lord with gladness here today we are going to be looking now at church in action what is god's church doing out there in the community and the focus today i understand andrew is on or young people and perhaps are young at heart as well and then after that we are going to be taking past this time and we have our own uh pastor neville barrett or executive secretary who is standing by to do that so keep praying up all of us here as we pray for you [Music] [Music] ending now is the most important stand the seventh-day adventist church has ever taken regarding violence against men women and children through this campaign more than 15 million adventists across the world are expected to create a global movement that will mobilize within their own communities where each person will actively work to create awareness and share solutions on ways to end this global problem this initiative which extends to more than 200 countries and territories was launched in october 2009 in partnership between the adventist development and relief agency adro a prominent humanitarian organization and the department of women's ministries of the severe adventist church today's focus is on the issue of youth violence and pornography and these are issues that are not normally discussed and for that reason many will find it uncomfortable yet it is vital that we recognize these issues our young people are not safe we must find ways to help them deal with the destructive and harmful effects resulting from these types of abuse i invite you to listen to sarah mcdougall abuse recovery coach as she shares with us these alarming statistics the statistics of violence bullying and assault are alarming in every country technology has expanded the potential for youthful cruelty by making it possible to cyber bully one's peers without risking exposure or harm to oneself before we can explore the tangible ways to address this problem we must first have a better understanding of what our youth are facing on a daily basis in today's world we must also remember that many of the families in our congregations and communities are living with the impact of this data according to the world health organization youth violence is a global public health problem it includes a range of acts from bullying and physical fighting to more severe sexual and physical assault to homicide about 200 000 homicides occur worldwide every year around the world among the youth aged 10 to 29 years old this is close to half 43 percent of the total number of homicides globally each year homicide is the fourth leading cause of death from ages 10 to 29 and 83 of these involve male victims for each young person killed many more sustained injuries requiring hospital treatment in one study up to 24 of women report that their first sexual experience was forced while it is not fatal youth violence has a serious often lifelong impact on physical psychological and social functioning youth violence greatly increases the costs of health welfare and criminal justice services it reduces productivity and decreases the value of property according to rain.org the rates of sexual violence to children under the age of 18 is chilling one in nine girls and one in 53 boys under the age of 18 experience sexual abuse or assault at the hands of an adult 82 percent of all victims under 18 are female females ages 16 to 19 are four times more likely than the general population to be victims of rape attempted rape or sexual assault nine out of ten victims of rape are female the effects of child sexual abuse can be long lasting and affect the victims mental health increasing their risks and making them about four times more likely to develop symptoms of drug abuse about four times more likely to experience post-traumatic stress as adults about three times more likely to experience a major depressive episode as adults so as loving parents teachers and church community leaders how can we keep our children safe what can we do to protect the next generation and help them develop into healthy whole strong confident safe adults a serious question indeed for many years we have been crying out end violence against men women and children in fact prior to kovid we would engage in community marches to raise awareness on these issues today our cries are even louder as we as seventh-day adventists continues to say no to violence why do we need this speciality because there is still domestic violence even in some christian families because there are still so many persons who do not yet know how to say no to violence and because there are many persons who need these right tools to help assist those who are in danger if we have a first elder we have a pastor who is very much into not only when we have these programs but having the church as a safe place a place that shares information so we have a table that is there constantly with information that visitors communicate persons or members can get so we access these resources so when we make ourselves aware we are to make to utilize them so if a child reports it if somebody at church needs help it is to be reported so the laws can help while we can give support as best as we can when we as a global church avoid uncomfortable topics preferring to keep things secret and hidden we allow violence to flourish in private the only way to dispel the darkness is to shine the light of truth upon it and to bring it into the sterilizing sunshine of god's character you see it's so important that we as leaders and church members not only be aware of the signs of abuse but actively take steps to prevent it from happening listening carefully and compassionately to those who have experienced abuse and taking action such as taking preventive measures reporting perpetrators to the proper authorities so the perpetrators can be held accountable there are many helpful resources available online including the website below where you can find more information as we close i would like to take a moment to address those who have experienced some wise god happy sabbath everyone i hope you are happy in the lord wherever you are watching and listening and we pray the blessings of almighty god upon you today also bring your greetings on behalf of the administration here at central jamaica conference our president possibly by johnson pastor billy watson our treasurer who is on vacation at this time and the entire conference family we are happy to have you joining us and we pray the blessings of almighty god upon you during this very special sabbath day you know for the past few days we have been having some rain and we thank god for showers of rain you know the plants needed it and the farmers and everybody and we thank god for his blessing i want to thank you uh everyone for supporting the mission here in central jamaica conference many of you continue to pray for us and you continue to give your support to continue to to point men and women to jesus christ and you continue to give in terms of your tithe and your offering and your support to a real initiative a very important initiative that we have welfare health education empowerment and local community wheel and especially in these trying times let me tell you ladies and gentlemen i've visited some homes and the roofs of some of those homes are like strainer the need for assistance right now is many so we're appealing to you to to send us your assistance and contribution and you'll hear later on how you can give but in these trying times the needs are many and so we want to say thanks to you those of you who have been supporting this initiative and we continue to work with our brothers and sisters who are in need as we point them to jesus christ i want to also thank you for tuning in to a living in the kingdom series with our president and or church pastor pastor levi johnson it has been a spirit-filled and inspiring series personally i have been blessed i've been closer drawn to jesus christ as a result and i hope you have been too and that your family uh would have benefited significantly from this inspiring revival series may god continue to bless uh our speaker and you will hear more where that is concerned later on as we bring the curtain down on that program and i trust that you know as you join in over these past few weeks uh you'd have joined with your families and your friends and surely you have been blessed as a result of that now today as you heard earlier on the emphasis is also on end it now uh and it's very important and we a central jamaica conference we have adopted uh this concept with our world church as we talk about ending violence against women and today in particular it's against our youth very important this year focuses on the issue of youth violence and pornography and a number of information will share with you earlier on but i just want to share with you a quote uh from our website general conference website says our young people are not safe we must find ways to help them deal with the destructive and harmful effects resulting from these types of abuses with god's help we will make a difference in their lives and help the healing process to begin thousands of our young people are hurting today and we're not just talking about people out there in another country right in our homes in our community they need us i'm appealing to us every seven day adventist here in central jamaica conference and wherever you are listening to to to me at this time let us reach out to our young people and while we can see violence and and things like these and we may address them our appear blind eye we have a responsibility as christians right to help individuals who are being abused and our series that we have been focusing on living in the kingdom the attitude he speaks volume to that as well let us do our part to help our young people and let me share this with you uh and i was i was interesting and and uh impressed with the focus that we have here uh on issues of youth violence and pornography i went to a church some time ago and i preached and this i want you to listen carefully because sometimes we take this for granted and i preach a nice sermon the gentleman said to me after i ended the presentation they came to me and said pastor that was a nice sermon i i like it the structure everything and so forth he said but i have one issue and this was a teenager about 13 or 14 years old he said to me pastor so often we listen to these sermons and you pastor and preachers you preach nice sermon but no one has ever addressed the matter of pornography and he said this is what us as young people are wrestling with this is one of the issue that bothering us and we want to hear from our leaders as it relates to this matter and so i am happy that this is a focus because many of our young people have been held captive and their minds have been abused through these mediums and so let us pray for them let us reach out to them let us be there for them especially in these trying times finally i just want to remind you that at the start of this year a central jamaica conference on the leadership of our president uh looked at the whole idea of having three symposiums one is on a family and stewardship that is the the donald king symposium uh which will be next weekend and later on in october we'll be having another symposium on leadership and administration that is edwin hyatt leadership and administration symposium and in november we'll be having the evangelism and discipleship uh symposium that's dr carnelius gray these are a men who would provide leadership to this conference over the years and so we name these symposium after them based on the area of strength and focus we ask you to join us next week as we will start the first of these three symposiums and invite your family and friends to be a part of this spirit-filled weekend my brothers and sisters we wish you god's richest blessing today and our love from central invite us to watch and pray that we enter not into temptation and he remind us in matthew 17 21 that what we do don't happen by chance or by accident it comes only by prayer and fasting and this is why we have bathed the series living in the kingdom in prayer and i'm going to invite you right now to bow your head with me wherever you are as we call upon our heavenly father oh god our heavenly cannot be too many for jesus because our god knows what we are going through and he will hear an answer prayer a wonderful savior is jesus my lord a wonderful savior to me he hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock wonderful savior this morning on this your holy sabbath rest we magnify your name we glorify your name because we recognize that there is none like you none that can be compared to you you are god all by yourself with power on borrowed and underrived lord we come to you on this holy day because you have been good to us you kept us throughout this week six dark tunnels of this week you watched over us you protected us you provided meals for us lord you kept us safe and we are just so happy to know that throughout this week while some of us would have been abandoned by friends and loved ones we are happy that you are right there with us every step of the way and so lord this morning on this your holy sabbath day first we want to tell you thanks for being the god that you are a wonderfully loving a kind and gracious god oh loving lord this morning you would have seen you would have heard the many requests requests for family members lord who are struggling with coving requests for family members lord who are going through a difficult time requests for children and grandchildren who are facing their crucibles requests lord for individuals who are in need of deliverance lord honey this your holy sabbath day of rest we come because we are so cognizant of the fact that the god that we serve is an is a prior answering god answering am i to be your god we pray that you will you will just gaze on these prayer requests even now and lord we know that all you have to do is to just pass your hands over all these requests and we can walk away with this sweet assurance that our requests would have been answered by you oh heavenly father we pray that we are there with sickness this morning that you will declare healing we pray that where there is pain and discomfort that you will lift those burdens and cast those carries aside we pray heavenly father that where there is need for comfort even now that you will speak peace in the midst of this storm lord so many are hurting this morning so many are going through a difficult time this morning lord even on this your holy sabbath day of rest we're just so conscious that there are men who are being abused right now women who are being abused children who are being abused and i pray in the mighty name of jesus that on this special day as we emphasize uh ended now violence uh to stop violence against women and children and youth we ask lord that you will ride in king jesus and there is violence where there is abuse that you will put an end to it yourself in the mighty name of jesus we pray lord that lies will be transformed that you will change heart so that instead of being abused even and harsh towards each other that we as a people will love each other we will show kindness we will be affectionate and gracious to each other because lord you wish above all things that your people prosper and be in good health and i believe lord that you would love for us to enjoy each other's company so help us lord to live in unity to live with the understanding that you want oslo to supporting each other so this morning lord we come and we pray for that spirit we pray for that determination right now to end all the pain that we would have been causing for our friends or loved ones those in the wider society may it end right now in our homes may it stop right now in the mighty name of jesus you know god we want to pray for you man servant we pray that you will give him a special word today you have been using him oh lord for the past few days and we believe that today you have a special message for him we ask that you will be with every viewer this day oh god there are many who have the desire to surrender to you but they have challenges we pray that before the service is done that all those hurdles will be removed all those mountains lord will crumble so that they will be able to make that very very important decision and that is to surrender their hearts to you hear an answer pray o lord we turn it all over to you we turn over all of our cares we turn over our sorrows we turn over our concerns and we ask god that today you will do for us far more than what we can do for ourselves far more than what we can even ask or think this is our asking with thanksgiving let god's people say amen and amen amen god is good i'm seeing the pause as you ponder andrew on god's goodness as pastor barnaby was praying and at the end there he said lord do for us far more than we can ever do for ourselves i said you know god this is why you are god because we really can't do much for ourselves so we're thankful that we have a god that can do so much for us praise be to god praise the lord praise the lord at this time standing very close to me on the other end is past the barrington matlin and as he takes us through the scripture reading this morning and through the offertory we encourage you to just continue to type in the chat let us know you are here praise the lord share your amens and hallelujahs and of course put those prayer requests in as we continue to worship this morning in the beauty of holiness it's over now to pastor matlin for our scripture reading the scripture text for our contemplation today is galatians chapter 5 and verse 22. it reads thus but the fruit of the spirit is love joy peace longsuffering gentleness goodness faith here ends the reading of god's holy word as i transition now into the officer the story is told of a pastor who was preaching one sabbath he was preaching passionately and eloquently he began by saying i have a vision that the church will walk there was an enthusiastic church brother who shouted let the church walk pastor let the church walk and the pastor what was feeding off this brother's emotion so he got to another gear and he said i have a vision that the church will run the brother said let the church run pastor let the church run i have a vision that the church will fly let the church fly pastor let the church fly i have a vision that the church will soar to higher heights let it soar past to let it soar but in order for the church to soar to higher heights each member will have to give one tenth of his her or her income to allow god's cause to go forward the brother was not so passionate anymore he said you know what pastor let the church creep this morning we do not want the church to creep we want the church to soar to new heights in the bible there were a number of instances when jesus spoke about money money is not bad money is not evil it is the love of money the bible says that is the root of all evil my brothers and sisters god has been good to all of us all he asks all he demands is that each person who works should return you notice i did not say pay each person should return one-tenth of what god has blessed you with if we were to look at all the things that god has done for us we cannot out love him we cannot outlive him so therefore we need to cooperate with him you my brother who's watching me yes you you might have had a challenge in the past but start somewhere let the lord touch your heart right now as you return to him what belongs to him you my sister you might have been disgruntled with something or someone and you are holding on to god's money i pray this morning that the holy spirit will touch your heart so that you will give back to god what rightly belongs to him in addition to that we have what we call free will offering the offering goes to defray the costs that are associated with the various expenses of our church may you give generals generously this morning because god has blessed you bountifully please see the video at this time which will share all the details that you require in order to return your tithe and free will offering do [Music] so [Music] [Applause] foreign [Music] is [Music] i invite you just to pray with me for the tithe and offering at this time loving god on our father what in heaven we thank you for every good gift you have been so good to us we cannot even express our gratitude to you we thank you for having allowed us the health and the strength to work so that we can give back to your cause i pray father that your people will be sincere they'll be generous in giving back to your great cause bless us to this end and may we recognize that we are co-laborers with you and as such we need to partner with you so that your work can go forward grant us your blessings and your peace we pray in jesus name amen and amen amen amen praise the lord have you been having a wonderful time have you been having a worshipful experience let us know we would like to hear from you romo i remember a little earlier i heard you asking for prayers uh prayer requests from persons but i'd also like to add to that that we would love to see how god has been answering yes your prayers right we pray and we know that god hears and we know that he answers so we'd love to share in that celebration of answered prayers so if god has ever answered a prayer for you we would love for you to share it in the chat so we can encourage others and let others know that god is a god who answers prayers i'm loving that andrew i'm loving that pastor one of our pastors who prayed i think it was pastor smith said something that i just want to share again as we continue in our service he said it is in the field of prayer that lives the life's critical battles are fought and won and i wrote that down because that is so profound god be praised amen to that at this time please tell us what's coming next what's coming next we are introducing our speaker this time that's right all right so we have been having a wonderful time focusing on living in the kingdom and we have had and we will have today as well or spiko pastor levi johnson he is the president of the central jamaica conference of seventh-day adventists and that's one of the regional bodies here in jamaica uh for the seventh-day adventist church body in jamaica and he's also the pastor for the cjc online church pastor johnson is very involved very attentive he loves young people he loves everybody not just young people he loves everybody and he loves to serve and he loves i can see that he loves welfare he loves to know that we are being taken care of he talks about his mother a lot so we know that he loves his mother dearly he talks about his son as well and his wife so he's a family man yes and he has been sharing some powerful nuggets with us in preparation for what is to come here on the earth and how our minds should be where our minds should be at this time in preparation for what is coming we live in an uncertain time and a lot is happening and we don't know about everything that's going on but we are sure that we have a god who is alive and well and in charge large and in charge amen so he'll be sharing with us today under the caption bringing peace home addressing youth violence at the roots i am looking forward to hearing that message today and we hope that you'll stay with us so you can hear what the lord has in store for all of us today andrew i just want to ask them to get their hearts in tune though for the message yes with the song that will be coming to us from well this is not all of the praise team so i will just say from a segment of the dobo dover sda praise team they will be blessing our hearts and then it will the man standing in the gap this morning past the levi johnson [Music] his heart was broken [Music] he became sin now i am clean the cross he carried more my burdens the nails that held him set me free is [Music] that he would die god's son would die to [Music] divine he gave his life [Music] his stars of suffering brought me healing he shed his blood to fill my soul [Music] his crown of thought it made me royalty his sorrows gave me joy [Music] his life his life how could it ever [Music] lightly [Music] of his garments [Music] [Music] that he would die god's son would die to save our [Music] he fresh his life [Music] [Music] [Music] whispers draw closer to me [Music] leave your world far behind [Music] me [Music] for whatever [Music] [Music] and sabbath i ended the series this evening at five and we're looking forward to having you praise the name of jesus amen and amen and we thank the holy spirit for being with us for guiding us through this special series i hope i did not miss anyone how could i forget the members of the culinary team wow they ensured that sabbath after sabbath we were refreshed with the physical bread and i want to thank the members of the culinary team and all those persons who will come and ensure that we follow the protocols and sanitizing ourselves oh i thank all of you special service today are bringing peace home i want to thank all the ministries who have worked together we have we are joining the general conference in this special series special series in fact few years now the general conference of self the adventist the leadership there they have adopted a very special program end it now and today right across the world we are ministering to the church members and by extension all the people in the world this service is for you and the central jamaica conference we are in partnership with the world church to ensure that one day by the grace of god there will be no violence down here so we are addressing today in the living in the kingdom series we're addressing youth violence at the roots and the credit must go to the person in fact this sermon uh was written by sarah mcdougall sarah mcdougall abuse recovery coach at the wildness wild institute wellness institute so credit goes to her because this is a message that has been prepared for the world and i want to ensure that the members on the virtual platform of the cjc church will get this message it comes under the caption bringing peace home bringing peace home the scripture reading or the focus of the message comes from galatians chapter 5 galatians chapter 5 and we will stay with verse 22 there are other verses of scriptures that we will be looking at but the main text for the message is galatians chapter 5 verse 22 verse 22 holy spirit we need you now as never before come now holy spirit tabernacle with the worshipers stand beside me now holy spirit speak through me holy spirit hide me behind the cross holy spirit let your people hear the message today that you have given to the church to the world speak through me now lord in jesus name we pray amen and amen and when i mention the technical team i must express thanks to mr michael spence for ensuring that we are able to get across to you as clear as possible thank you michael and your team a way of introduction once upon a time there was a little people who felt special little people always wanted their own way what other people wanted or needed didn't matter to the little people who became selfish while other little people were learning to put others needs first the little person didn't and the little person began expecting and demanding their own way the little person grew up and became big little person interesting big little person and when the big little person tried the same selfish demands to get their own way with other groups it didn't work as well as it had before instead of focusing on being kind and helpful to others the big little people began a habit of doing dishonest things and hurting people to get their own way even though being dishonest and hurting people is wrong because the big little people was always nice to the people in charge they thought the big little people was wonderful soon the people in charge allowed the big little people to take more and more power the big little people appeared to live happily ever after but all the people close to the big little people suffered in the end the big little people who learned to like being coral ended up suffering too because the big little people who wanted their own way never experienced the joy of unselfishness healthfulness and kindness one day when the people in charge realize the big little people was cruel to others they decided to stop giving power to the big little people that was the day when other people in the community were no longer being hurt by the big little people and they were able to begin healing from their wounds and to experience true love and safety we are talking about bringing peace home bringing peace over today's world brothers and sisters is a dangerous place for children and youth to grow up if we are courageous enough to look the statistics of violence bullying and assault are alarming in every country technology has expanded the potential for youth cruelty by making it possible to cyber bullying one's pairs without risking exposure or harm to oneself before we can explore the tangible ways to address this problem we must first have a better understanding of what our youth are facing on a daily basis in today's world these statistics brothers and sisters be disturbing and very uncomfortable to hear but for our community of faith they are crucial to know if we want to be aware and able to truly impact the way things are we must all also remember that many of the families in our congregations many of the families in our communities are living with the impact of this idea or this data which makes it important to discuss in the church in fact past barrett mentioned this young man i listened that spoke to him after he delivered a powerful message that as preachers we are not addressing the old matter of pornography well today we are looking at that amen in fact it's not just a church in central jamaica conference but this message is for the entire world this is not a message for the adventist church this is a message for the world so i would understand i believe that on every channel on youtube in fact with this message will can be heard right across the world black white every denomination every tribe every nation will have access to this same message come on and say amen i love my church i love my church according to the world health organization youth violence is a global public health problem it includes a range of acts from bullying and physical fighting to more severe sexual and physical assault to homicide world health organization says 200 000 homicides a car worldwide every year among the youth aged 10 through 29 years old this is close to 43 percent of the total number of homicides globally each year for each young person killed many more sustained injuries recurring hospital treatment one study ladies and gentlemen up to 24 percent of women report that their first sexual experience was forced when it is not fatal it has a serious often lifelong impact on physical psychological and social functioning this disease youths violence greatly increases cost of health welfare criminal justice services reduces productivity and decreases the value of property the effects this is a serious message amen and i hope you're praying that i'll be able to deliver it the effects of child sexual abuse can be long lasting and many of us know that this is a fact so you can write in the chat whenever you hear a point and you know it is factual you can type amen this message is for each of us amen i don't want you to think of anybody you think about yourself god has sent this message for the world and each of us need to listen to the message the effects of child sexual abuse can be long lasting and affect the victim's mental health pastor roy will tell you that increasing their risk and making them it's now about four times more likely to develop symptoms of drug admins about four times more likely to experience post traumatic stress disorder as adults and about three times more likely to experience a major depressive episode as others so brothers and sisters our loving parents thank god for loving parents amen teachers and church community leaders we cannot sit down and allow this monster of violence to destroy our young people and thank god the remnant church is speaking today right across the world come on and say amen church is speaking on the sun we need to ensure that our children are safe come on and say man you can write that let's keep our children safe what can we do to protect the next generation and help them develop into healthy whole strong confident safe adults what can we do what can we do the world health organization also states that adverse childhood experiences are some of the most intensive and frequently occurring sources of stress that children can suffer early in life when describing christ's childhood the bible says in luke 2 and verse 52 luke chapter 2 verse 52 jesus grew up in wisdom and stature and in favor with god and all the people amen jesus is our example so we're looking at jesus growing up as a child the bible says in luke 2 52 that jesus grew in wisdom in stature and in favor with god and all the people this tells us brothers and sisters three things about the childhood days of jesus number one the bible says he grew in psychological and spiritual maturity come on and say amen psychological and spiritual maturity he grew in physical strength and physical health hallelujah and jesus is our example that's the reason why when a child comes to mom and dad and say i want to give my life to jesus that's the best decision a child can make especially in this life in these days give your children to jesus he grew in favor praise the lord in favor with god and the people ellen white favorite author she writes about these three attributes of jesus the child grew and walked strong in spirit filled with wisdom and the grace of god was with him our children need the grace of god hallelujah his mind mr white says his mind was active and penetrating with a thoughtfulness and wisdom beyond his years yet his character was beautiful in its cemetery symmetry the powers of mind and body developed gradually in keeping with the laws of child hood in order to have brothers and sisters in order to have the greatest opportunity to grow in wisdom stature and favor like jesus did our children need protection and safety come on and say man our children need protection and safety this means that they not only need physical safety but also emotional safety spiritual safety sexual and psychological safety come on and say man the solutions for preventing adverse childhood experiences must begin in the christian home when i say amen we love our precious children we can type that we love our precious children we love them fiercely and fully we want the best for our children come on and say men we want the best for our children but often we fail to realize that we are preparing them for lives marred by violence by subjecting them to a lack of safety right at home let's get down to some meat if they're watching parents fight or seeing their father attacked their mother home is not safe if there have being molested or abused sexually by family or trusted friends home is not safe and let me tell you something you should not allow your children just to go to your next-door neighbor just like that some of us we are two key free man because we want to go and have fun we are running to the shop so we just drop a child no no we gotta make sure we gotta know where our children are at all times and wherever they are we must know that they are safe and sad to say i'm gonna drop a bomb now they are not even safe in the church oh that's a bomb we must know in fact i remember and you know we never used to i never used to hear about what about child abuse growing up no no no but i remember my my parents would take us to sabbath school and they would not just sit in church and allow us to be a sabbath school because on the one hand we were not that behaved we're in well-behaved i would hope that's the reason why they will come they will come and check on us and i believe today parents when you drop your children at sabbath school you must not just leave the teachers to take care of them from time to time you must go down there and check and make sure they are safe and that's the reason why i like this church you know this church says when new members come in the church we must not put them to work with children look at me yes that's the policy of the church child protection act in the seventh adventist birth give them six months because you know people can't slip through the cracks hello people can do slip through the crack so the church say no when new members come into the church and you they want to work with children check out them and watch them give them six months and if they pass the test then you can put them with the children and even when you do that you still can't leave them up you will have a responsibility parents caregivers you have a responsibility to make sure that not just your children are safe but all of our children are safe come on and say man if they are living in fear of your criticism and harsh words home is not safe if their mistakes and failures are used to shame and control them home is not safe if they are not free to express emotions and fears and concerns home is not safe if they are silent on spiritual topics because they have been told god won't love them if they ask questions home is not safe if they observe fathers and nail relatives exercising their power to exploit women instead of leading like jesus by serving and protecting home is not safe we cannot control the world around us but we do have an undeniable responsibility before god to raise our children in safe gentle homes that reflect the tenderness of love of christ and his character we have a responsibility you know you know there was a a gentleman in my in my home district i won't call the name of the district way rural deep rural it's a mountain but there was a gentleman i remember this gentleman and and many many many many years ago so you know one night we were on the road then we saw this young girl a young girl at the time she would be about 12. grew up was a child she had 12 year old on the streets you know it was everybody's business am i talking to yes yes so this this this gentleman he was a dreadlocks and we thought that you know he was just it was just a joke we didn't take him that serious but i tell you sometimes and he said he said little girl where you're going you should be under your mother's jurisdiction never forget it at 12. and these days you go certain places 10 year old 12 year old when according to that gentleman they should be on their mother's prediction they should be at home they're on the street the first step to ending these painful cycles is to break the silence and bring the subject into the light and this is what the seventh day adventist church is doing today break the silence we're no longer gonna keep it under bushel we want the world to know that the church all of us we have a responsibility to ensure or to protect our young people the apostle john writes john 3 19-20 john says god's light came into the world but people loved the darkness more than the light for their actions were evil all who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed but those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what god wants we're bringing it to the light today as followers of christ we are called to treat each other according to the fruit of the spirit the holy spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives as children of light we need to treat each other according to the fruit of the spirit love joy peace patience kindness goodness i think each in central jamaica conference can do well with more peace amen as fathers parents we can do well in being more patient not to mention kindness goodness faithfulness in fact don't turn don't think about anybody you think about yourself now check your home goodness faith faithfulness gentleness and self-control when we focus on exerting power over others controlling the choices of others and forcing our will on others we easily forget that only lucifer sought for power satan seeks to take power to possess and to control so listen now anytime you find yourself want to be in charge you know what might say well i'm the boss here if you have to tell your child or your spouse that you're the boss at home it is saying something they need to know when you're coming home from work and mommy's and mama is crumbling and the children are scrambling because they are afraid of you you are no boss they are afraid of you get your act together you are no boss christ seeks to give jesus and the father are one in their identity of love come on and say amen together they employ only the tools of love and truth to invite us to accept salvation every other tool listen to the preacher every other tool forcefulness deception manipulation trickery bribery intimidation defection isolation enticement all of these are tools of the devil they are not of god and each of us need to examine ourselves we cannot hallelujah we cannot use these tools in our parenting in our romantic relationships or marriages or our ministries without taking on the characteristics of satan and when church people when church members or church leaders focus on power instead of servanthood whether in our marriages in our classes in our small groups or in our congregation and community at large we perpetuate an atmosphere which makes abuse thrive we seek to hold the we seek to hold the power of god without possessing the character of god and what we need to strive for today what we need more in our churches what we need in our homes is for people to strive to possess the character of god and i say amen and we are broken or we are heartbroken when our children grow up into youth who have seen abuse modeled as the norm and follow in our emotionally verbally physically or spiritually violent footsteps until ladies and gentlemen brothers and sisters until we break the cycle of abuse we are not following jesus's command to love one another and to live in the light it is simple gotta break the silence first john 2 10 and 11 says anyone who loves another brother or sister is living in the light and does not cause others to stumble but anyone waits abuses another brother or sister is still living and walking in darkness and we're talking about living in the kingdom now or where we're where are you where where are you where are you located mr man he so all the men of the church where are you today we need a pentecostal fire to fall down on the church of god and i want to say lord let the revival power let the reformation stop with me too many times we hear sermons or messages that are straightforward and instead of saying lord help me we we are thinking on others we might have heard certain things exposed and that's what we focus on and the devil would have us not to focus on ourselves today the the search light is on you the searchlight is on me check my life out holy spirit download supernatural power in my life and let me see myself i'm putting myself before you jesus you check me out and anything that is in me that i need to get rid of today lord i'm asking you deliver me deliver me hear what ellen white says i run to a close she says great detail about home life an importance of kindness and mutual respect she says home should be a little heaven up on earth a place where the affections are cultivated instead of being repressed our happiness depends upon this cultivation of love hallelujah cultivation of sympathy and true respect to one another she says the sweetest type of heaven is a home where the spirit of the lord presides if the will of god is fulfilled the husband and wife will respect each other and cultivate love and confidence how is it in your home how is it how is it how is it in your in your home what's going on this attitude at home does not depend on wealth gender or cultural norms it hinges upon our willingness brothers and sisters to imitate jesus christ and to model his heart of love to our children and youth jesus must be our friends and the center of our attitudes at home yes i used to sing this song with jesus in the family what a happy home if jesus if jesus is in the father's heart what a happy hormone so preacher john so what what just you're just you're not telling us something that we don't know what what i'm saying now let's get jesus husbands wives and even children today we need jesus because only jesus only he can satisfy every burden becomes a blessing when i know my lord i'm invited to allow jesus prince of peace will you allow him knocking at your door door of your heart he wants to come in he wants to get rid of violence shame and depression and abuse he wants to get rid of that won't you invite him into your home um [Music] when you invite jesus [Music] jesus is secure for this world we come up with a lot of [Music] alternatives [Music] listen guys let's wake up gentlemen if you want to be a good husband you can only be a good husband with jesus [Music] no you could go to the gym and you have muscles that don't say anything even if you are the best health person you are the most healthy person you go to gym every day and you're handsome and you drive a nice car that doesn't make you a kind and loving person you need jesus same thing for the ladies here's style and whatever that has nothing to say where you live there's nothing to do with it you need jesus world needs jesus [Music] want a brand new world [Music] [Applause] jesus hallelujah [Music] you're saying yes lord i need you right now my home is in shambles my children are about to leave me i'm losing them and we can see in the church we are losing our young people we need to give our young people all over again to jesus that's what he wants to do you want to say yes [Music] i need jesus as we close this service i want each person within the hearing of my voice to do some stock taking don't think about anybody else don't think about another man's home think about your home what's happening there [Music] thank you praise god [Music] walk away from here [Music] [Music] and i can't walk away [Music] cover the young people cover the children cover us lord [Music] amen [Music] and where you are perhaps you are driving in your car if you you heard just the last part of this preacher or or the message just the last part but what you heard is that you need jesus if that's all you heard today oh that's the best part of the that's the message world is falling apart our homes are in shambles we need jesus father in heaven [Music] thank you for giving to sister dougal i i i was only the mouthpiece to share the message you gave her for the world because we are part of a world church we want peace in our homes we can't have peace in the world unless we have peace in our homes and the focus today lord is on our young people we are aware of what they are going through and today we are crying out we're lifting up our voice like a trumpet and declare to the world that our world needs jesus lord i pray that you will enter our homes now [Music] we invite you to take over the leadership of the church take it out of our hands lord and help us to follow you thank you for this pentecostal fire and pentecostal revival that we are experiencing today let it fall let it rain let it continue to rain on the church in jesus name we pray amen and amen praise god amen amen god be praised what a message what a message what a message you know android even though the message was for all of us today everywhere across the world we had a special focus on the young people and you said it earlier but i just want to talk with those of you who are watching and listening just to reiterate all what has been said and what you said earlier that you need to know that you are loved you are valued and even if your home is not a safe space and we're praying that god will fix that for you but even if he doesn't understand that god loves you and he loves young people he speaks to you specifically in his words and he has comfort for you as a matter of fact this church was started by very young people and sometimes we forget it so i just wanted to add to that and to remind those of you who are maybe suffering maybe abused maybe having difficult times and also persons who are abusing that god loves you and he has the strength to help you to overcome so you can shine for him amen and he has a purpose and a plan for you so we have work to do we have work to do and we have skills that we need to develop we need to activate we need to work we have a lot of work to do but god is with us amen and he will help us to get the work done we want to roma celebrate yes i showed you a little bit earlier we had asked for you to share answered prayers with us and we want to just celebrate with delano williams at this time we saw your comments and we just want to highlight it delana says happy sabbath i had lupus for six years and she said of course you know it was very challenging for her and she told jesus about the situation she said to him that she wanted him to heal her she also told the lord that she was going to flush all her medication in the toilet and she says that two weeks after having that conversation that prayer with god she went to do a lupus test and the doctor said that they didn't see any lupus in her blood so she's giving god thanks because of her faith she says because of her faith and she also says that jesus healed her and she's giving god thanks for that every day of her life amen you know andrew we saw how excited i got when she showed it to me a little earlier so we're containing ourselves because we're happy i was really happy to hear that because i can imagine andrew how many other persons have a story yeah i may not have gotten a chance to write it you know sometimes the stories are lengthy yes but we're excited for her thanking god that's a whole lot of faith you know yes it is and we just continue to pray for good health for you in jesus name amen amen well that's it we have come to the end of our divine our service that's certainly not it for the rest of the day the sabbath continues and our program continues we are back here on this platform at 4 p.m with a very vibrant ay program i was about to say adventist youth which is really what it means yes uh program and so you don't have to be a youth to enjoy this program and to be blessed both the youth lead out at that point in a very specific way so we're inviting all of you who are watching listening on all the platforms that we've been sharing to come back and be with us this afternoon for what is going to be a program filled with praise music blessings and a powerful message that we will continue to share this afternoon and amen yes yes yes and pastor johnson said a little earlier that uh he'll be back for the five o'clock segment where we conclude the living in the kingdom revival series what a wonderful series it has been for three weeks yes we started on august 7 and we're we're pulling the curtains down today but the word of god will continue to be shared so amen we can look forward to what god has in store for us so before we run andrew i just want to i got a little plug read the health program and i wanted to share it very quickly before we go all right of course we'll share it with you also later this afternoon but just want to remind you to tune in tomorrow as well at 6 00 p.m i believe pastor mentioned it as well for our health program yes this is the theme i want to be healthy and the cjc health department they are taking on the challenge and they ask the question do you want to get healthy in eight weeks and when i saw that i said um that is sounding very very good and i know that the lord's health message can assist persons to improve their health within that time so they're throwing the challenge out invite your friends invite your family members be here yourself tomorrow evening on this platform at 6 00 p.m i wanted to share that okay thank you for sharing roma well that's it from us here for no um on the cjc online church platform as well as um wherever we are along with our partners but we do want to just um pray god's richest blessings on you and your family and all those who are connected with you we hope that you will have a scrumptious meal we pray the lord will provide for you and whatever it is that you will feast on it will do good to your bodies amen god bless you and enjoy the rest of the sabbath until we come here to meet with you again at 4pm [Music]
