Enable Call Recording on your Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra in 10 seconds!

[Music] what's up YouTube Jeff back again today another very exciting Samsung video for you guys and today making another update video from a video I made last year with the S3 Ultra everyone's just trying to make it really difficult for us to get all the features we want today we're going to be talking about recording calls on your Galaxy s24 Ultra specifically here in the US or other countries where Samsung is not allowed to install the stock call recorder so we're going to show you guys how to do it there's a little wrinkle from the video I made last year and I'll drop last year's video below cuz it has probably a lot more detail I went through a lot of the in-depth features of call recording but today I'm going to show you how to get this working again because I know a lot of people have been complaining before we get started I want to thank my son Jonathan he did give us some dinos to hang out in the video we got the T-Rex and the Triceratops we always do appreciate him and uh let's go ahead and talk about this so if you're not aware and you're in the US you probably don't realize that Samsung actually installs a stock call recorder app on most Samsung phones so here is a Samsung phone it's an s24 ultra that I imported from the Dominican Republic so I could get the phone early and uh if you go into the settings it turns out that there's this awesome option right here right under block numbers called record calls and guess what you can do something really awesome you can Auto record every single call that you make which is obviously great and you can later find your recorded calls there or choose to delete old recordings um and show notification after recording of of course if you open up your Galaxy s24 Ultra here in the US here on the right side once again is my us unlocked model you'll notice right below block numbers there is no record calls feature that is because the US regulations and laws do not allow Samsung to include that inside the US models a lot of US states regulate consent uh and other laws that are required for people to record calls so for that reason it is not included as a stock app application inside of the phone app but you can enable it using a third party app Samsung though made it a little bit harder well not Samsung the app developer and also Google made it a little harder based on some more laws lots of laws kind of messing this up so last year I showed you guys and let me bring in my other I got so many phones here on the table this is the s23 ultra on the right last year I showed you guys how to use Cube ACR now Cube ACR is an app that allows you to record calls it is a calls recording app it's probably the best one on the Play Store in my opinion you can download it right here it's a top result um and you probably be wondering maybe why it has such low reviews cuz last year the reviews were really really great the reason is this if you open Cube ACR on your Galaxy s23 Ultra if you had installed it last year when I talked about it you'll notice there is this issue where now it says QBE ACR needs a workaround to record phone and Voiceover IP calls to work proper ly with the latest Google Play policy changes so Google passed the law or Google passed a policy on the Play Store to comply with the laws a little bit better and if you actually read more about this this happened after I made the video last year um it was actually pretty soon after I made the video last year it talks about you know some of the reasons for this and why they're making this change anyway if you don't want to do that which I don't recommend it cuz it seems that the helper um doesn't really work with new Samsung phones in fact I tried installing the helper application to see if it would work with the Galaxy s24 Ultra and it really didn't um and so at the end of the day what's unfortunate about that is it makes it impossible to record calls with any app on your Galaxy s24 Ultra but there's a workaround if you go to the Galaxy store not the play store but the Galaxy store you can install Cube ACR from the Galaxy store and the same thing just search inside the Galaxy store and find it and you'll notice one thing very specifically about this it has really great reviews 4.5 the reason the reviews are better is because the Galaxy store and Samsung do not impose the same policies that the Play Store does so you don't need the helper app on older phones and it actually allows it to work on newer Samsung phones like the s24 ultra so I went ahead and installed it from the Galaxy store and I was able to install it perfectly did not need the ACR Cube recording helper app that the Play Store version was telling me I need it if you paid for the paid version which I do it's $20 a year it's less than $2 a month so I pay for the paid version because I use the features and I enjoy them if you paid for it make sure you cancel your subscription on the Play store and then start a new subscription on the Galaxy store it's the same price otherwise you'll have some obvious issues all the settings and everything that I talked about last year pretty much the same auto start recording exclude callers you know if you don't want to record with your signific GA and stuff um phone auto recording delay um force and call mode pretty much all the stuff you can choose the output format choose other services that allow you know phone calls to record those as well you can choose where you store them you can even back them up to your Google Drive I just set this up today and I noticed these new issues that's why I'm making the video I still got to set up some of my stuff and then there's also some awesome miscellaneous settings uh where you can have the call controls you know either hidden or shown you can shake the phone uh to Mark a specific spot inside the conversation all that kind of good stuff uh and some really deep features if you pay for the premium version again I I think it's worth it I mean goo tagging post call actions to share it or store it or trim or edit the call some great stuff so this is definitely the app I recommend for enabling call recording on your s24 Ultra you do need to get it from the Galaxy store though now because Google impos these restrictions but let me really quickly demonstrate how this works just by calling UPS like I did last year so those of you who don't want to watch the other video can see it really quick in action all right so I'm going to go ahead and call UPS customer service just to show you guys how the call recorder works once I do that you see have the overlay here this is the ACR call recording controls as soon as they pick up you'll notice that it goes ahead and starts recording I can stop the recording at any time that I want so if you tap over here it'll stop the recording tap it again you can start it so you can start at any point you can also shake it to record a specific marker in the call and then once you hang it up it's going to automatically go ahead and store that and you can go back to the ACR call recording uh application and then as soon as you do that you'll be able to find the recording and listen to it so you can see right here I have this call so you can see here it saves all these for you you can also choose what format you want where you want to store them and all that good stuff so it does work you don't want the Play Store version though because of that helper app make sure you get it from the Galaxy store I'll drop a link below to the Galaxy store if you guys want to check it out all
