and now without further ado let's go [Music] first story entitled woman grips at me for asking her to back away from me gets in trouble with the cops so this happened a couple days ago i still can't stop laughing at how stupid this woman was i was out shopping things had started opening up to almost fully open but still most people were still wearing masks a couple people weren't but still i had a mask on for safety reasons and kept my distance from people as soon as i walked into the store a woman we'll call her psycho obviously you'll see why in a second stroll's past nearly brushing my shoulder i flinch away and pull back the cart as she slams into it and continues on turning to glare at me like it was my fault side note she wasn't wearing a mask and looked crazy think criminal mind's homeless lunatic in love with a cereal who she thinks is an alien who abducted her if you've seen the show you know who i'm talking about i brush off psycho and continue on with my shopping i stop and grab some q-tips i turned around and the psycho was wandering nearby she turns and glares at me flipping me the bird i smile under my mask and flip her off back and walk away she yells something at me but i ignore her and walk away fast as soon as i walk around the corner i see a cop on duty i presume as he was still in uniform i smile and walk close telling him this crazy woman was screaming at me and flipping me off for no reason everything from the beginning he nods and says he'll handle it i hear her come round still yelling but stops i'm guessing when she sees me talking to the cop i continue on getting the rest of what i need as i make my way to the meat counter seeing her every so often she keeps glaring at me and snarling at me i ignore her and continue on with my day i go so far as to put in my earbuds and play my favorite shiny song making a show of playing a bit of the song before connecting the earbuds she continues glaring and snarling i continue ignoring and jamming probably stupid on my part but hey i've already been ticked off so might as play a little game of malicious compliance and i'm not going to cower from a lunatic when there's people around i end up having to go past her at one point she's going one way i'm going the other so no big she ignores me i ignore her i get to the meat counter and within seconds i see a flicker out of the corner of my eye turn around and she is literally not even a foot from me i back up and the following occurs me hey can you not stand so close to me please six feet minimum psycho i don't have to listen to you brat i'm vaccinated yeah well i don't care you can still get it and spread it so back up psycho getting closer to me while i keep backing up oh you're a doctor i don't care you hit me with your cart flipped me off and screamed at me well that explains a hell of a lot you may not care but i'd prefer not to be sick and die for your stupidity so back up right now i'm raising my voice trying to get people's attention in case things go down psycho how dare you i'm calling the cops on you for assault and battery assault and battery oh that's rich do you want to add attempted murder of a disabled person while you're at it back up right now or i'm calling the cops on you which how dare you swear at me i can do whatever i want you're not my mother and you need to be locked up for insanity and excessive stupidity i turn around to grab my phone and sure enough the cop is standing probably five feet away from me i smile at him and say hello officer he comes over and glares right at her cop you've already been warned about harassing this young lady and other customers do i need to arrest you for the charges you've said to press on this young woman who didn't do anything to you psycho cowering and whimpering no sir i laugh and move away from them while the cop gets closer to her and tells her to leave immediately she whines that she did nothing wrong and runs away i thank him and he says he hates bullies who pick on people who think they can't handle themselves tells me i was a bit stupid for enticing her but i did great handling myself and standing up for myself i haven't seen her since and i hope i never have to as she smelled like a homeless guy after taco bell she smelled bad and i tried so hard to stay as far away as possible and could still smell her through my thick mask hope everyone is safe and is having a good day next story revenge on an entitled lawyer in a past life a long long time ago i was an investigator and was working to bring justice to a poor young man horribly burned by his mother as part of the work i had to serve legal paperwork to the hospital for medical records when i got to the record section i asked for the person in charge and bob the lawyer came out i explained what i had and that the court was requesting medical records as part of the case regarding this burned child i also told him that it was not a rush and if he could have someone make them available that week i would gladly return and pick them up bob the lawyer shot out of the gate and scolded me for not having the judge and prosecutor inform him first i told him that i was just the messenger and that he'd been served and that we had no wish for him to be inconvenienced which was why i would pick them up when available bob continued on about how this was so unprofessional and he might not comply and i politely said that he would have to take it up with the prosecutor and the judge he stuck his finger in my face and told me to get out i called the prosecutor informed him of what happened and was told to go back and tell bob the lawyer that he would now have to appear with the records tomorrow at 8 a.m at the courthouse i went back in and put the phone on speaker the prosecutor then instructed bob the lawyer to appear at the appointed time or the judge would ensure that there would be consequences so at 8 the next day the prosecutor and i walked by to see bob the lawyer sitting outside the courtroom records in hand the prosecutor motioned me past bob saying let's go to breakfast that jerk isn't up until 4 45 pm when something like this happens to a child you put your nonsense aside he needs to learn this in the end we got the records and justice for the young man but he had a long road of healing ahead of him next story i found a loophole to screw my nickel and diming homeowners association out of a portion of their monthly fees my homeowners association is the worst they nickel and dime every opportunity they get their online portal is atrocious and they're impossible to get a hold of they threatened to put a lien on my house earlier this year due to a missed payment since paid and i've been current ever since the monthly fee is 150 plus a 1.95 service fee month after month doesn't matter if you set up direct withdrawal with your bank account debit card etc they will shave an extra two dollars a month because they can that is until i missed may's payment i had tried to pay earlier this month only to find they had yet again changed their website they've done this about three times since moving into this house so i hadn't been able to log in i made a mental note to check back and moved on well i remembered about it today i found the new site and logged in only to find they had levied one dollar and 24 cents late fee against my account these vultures are unforgiving so whatever i decide to pay may and go ahead and pay june as well as it turns out only one service fee is assessed per transaction which means because i was paying both may and june in a single transaction only 1.95 was charged instead of three dollars and ninety cents for both months and because there was a late fee of one dollar and 24 cents i essentially wound up paying 303.19 instead of 303.90 a full 71 cents of savings it's actually cheaper for me to miss a month and get a late fee and then pay for two months with a single service fee savings of 35 cents a month every single month four dollars and 26 cents a year not being paid to my homeowners association seriously what is wrong with homeowners associations edit my homeowners association threatened to put a lien on the house not foreclose only the bank can do that next story you want to be a rude supervisor not for long buddy a number of years ago not long after i entered the workforce as a naive young man i as many started working in hospitality i loved the work loved the people i worked with and generally had a really fun time for the first six months then my supervisor tells me he's leaving and thinks i should put in for the job okay i'll give it a go thanks for believing in me well from the title you may have guessed i didn't get it instead they hire someone else and my manager tells me but gives me a training plan which i really appreciated especially as i was about to go on vacation for two weeks so the new guy starts when i'm away and when i get back i start my shift early so i can catch up with my friends i'm doing a few odd jobs while shooting it and this guy in a suit comes out the back and walks right up to me without skipping a beat tells me to get behind the bar and sort the stock out bearing in mind i knew it was fine i plaster a big grin on my face stick out my hand and say pleasure to meet you you must be name of person you hate i'm me i know already i don't like this guy so some months pass most of the staff think this guy is a jerk between his condescending attitude heavy drinking and generally being a creep nobody wants him there but he refuses to leave and without cause the manager won't fire him she also didn't like him so i hatched a plan there's a training session coming up in a few weeks some of the company bigwigs will be there and i've been invited as part of my development as have my manager and supervisor the day before i made sure that several of the women in the department had a plan for a house party and he couldn't resist himself showed up and started putting the moves on i kept getting his drink topped up everyone made sure i stayed mostly sober while making sure he was wasted like this guy could drink and normally be blackout and still show up for work the next day but he was gone lo and behold the next day i turn up for training and when my boss asks me where this guy is i'm not sure there was a party last night and he was there but i left early so i could be here he was getting pretty bad about an hour into the day he shows up clearly having just rolled out of bed crumpled suit messy hair bloodshot eyes and reeking of red bull and booze i could hardly keep my grin to myself and my boss knew i set him up she pulls him outside and he doesn't come back in the next day there's a huge meeting with all the managers in the next week i'm told to apply for the job at the end of my interview my boss asks to have a word alone with me and tells me she spoke to some of the other people and knows what i did all while also grinning like an idiot as i nailed the interview got a jerk fired and aced the training session next story well have fun replacing me i was working for a company that paid me to travel to a job in another city this was done by going into town and getting a coach the company puts on i would waste three to four hours a day unpaid to go into town and get home after a nine hour shift i asked to be paid to just drive my own car from home and go to work they said no and if i didn't like it they would replace me i called the bluff but they hung the phone up on me i started to panic and frantically started looking for another job i applied for everything i could even remotely be capable of doing but got nowhere i called back my employer and she laughed at me on the phone i was gutted but i just needed to get a night's sleep and come out fighting fresh in the morning i woke up to a phone call from a new employer eagerly offering me an interview i said yes without even thinking as soon as i hung up the call i got another then another five job offers i got in total a few days later i had accepted a job working for a delivery company better pay and benefits i took a picture of me in my new uniform and sent it to my old employer with the caption thanks for replacing me i replaced you with a better employer next story the season to give several years ago i was shopping for a last minute small gift for my then boyfriend now husband for christmas i'd already bought his big gift and was just looking for a few small things under the tree i have to note that i am one of those grumpy people that does not like the holiday season there are many reasons most having to do with family and my own issues with religion but suffice to say i don't enjoy holiday shopping and this was before the widespread comfort and convenience of online shopping anyway i'm at the local smiley faced big box store looking for a small throw blanket because our apartment gets chilly in the winter i spy a display of plain ones not goofy holiday-themed ones and begin rifling through to look for one he'd like i find the last one in a shade of blue i knew he'd like and drop it into my cart i turn to look at some stuff on the shelf next to the blankets for a half a moment and when i turn back to my cart i see the entitled mother reaching for the blue blanket me pulling my cart out of her reach oh sorry i'll move my cart so you can get to the display sorry about that entitled mother what a pretty shade of blue did you happen to see another one uh no sorry maybe ask customer service if they're getting in more or if the other store has one it's my daughter's favorite color can't i just have that one it'll match her room perfectly we just redid it for her as a surprise for christmas sorry i'm buying this one for my boyfriend well he's a guy what does he care besides my little girl is coming home from her first year at big shot school and i want to give this to her can't you just let me have it after all draws herself up into a self-righteous stance it's the christian thing to do and this is the season to give you're right it is the season to give and i'm giving this to my boyfriend she starts to whine and is building up to full on screeching karen mode as i grab the blanket and the two other things from the cart and power walk to the registers i am tall and walk fast so by the time she caught up to me i had already paid shocking for big box store at the holidays but there are perks to shopping at 11 30 p.m at a 24-hour store the entitled mother slides into the line behind me and starts complaining loudly to the cashier who is handing me my receipt about how some people have forgotten the reason for the season me oh yeah happy hanukkah and mary kwanza boyfriend loved the blanket we still have it and i still hate the holidays and now we have reached the end of today's stories thank you
