we're going to pray this morning let us lift up the name of jesus father we exalt you lord we humble ourselves before you this morning and we come just as we are we come lord just to magnify you just to lift up your name we come lord just to glorify you for you are god and there is none like you ah god we exalt your name this morning and we come just as we are we ask you now lord to purify our hearts today our god that when our worship goes up to you this morning uh indeed you will come and dwell with us you will come and table knock with us your kind of glory lord we not only fill these four wars in emmanuel but those who are online lord we pray that lord your holy ghost power will come down with fire right there in their house our god as the praises go up ah indeed lord we pray that your kind of glory will come down so lord we pray for the rest of this service today that lord jesus you alone will be glorified and that you alone will be magnified so lord we say come and have your believing god that he will come through for sharing and for you and sister olive is asking for prayer someone typed that we should pray for her uh continue to pray for her recovery in jesus name their sister pauline pauline clark is asking for healing for her family and herself she's requesting prayer for and eugene winter she is mourning the loss of a loved one and she is requesting prayer for her family now i know many persons can relate to losing a loved one especially during this pandemic and we're hearing every day on the news how many persons are dying only for covid but we're not hearing the others who are murdered and we're not hearing the others who would have died of natural causes but this morning we know who is our source and his name is jesus we're going to pray let us pray right now father we give you thanks lord we thank you that we have an opportunity this morning to come before your throne of grace [Music] indeed lord if it had not been for you despite all the challenges that we face today be it financial be emotional our god be it whatever in every form it comes the lord if it had not been for you then lord we will not would have had our sanity this morning uh if it had not been for you then our minds will not be at ease this morning if it had not been for you and your word that has kept us then lord we will not be at peace this morning so god we thank you that lord jesus you are very much in control and you still rule in the affairs of man so lord this morning we lift up serene this bit uh god before you and father she has confessed that lord she needs a breakthrough she needs a financial breakthrough lord jesus we don't know but you know lord and i'm sure there are others who will be in need of a financial breakthrough this morning so lord we know that the cattle on a thousand hills belongs to you and lord we know that you would have blessed your people that lord they can be a blessing so lord we don't know the avenue you may choose this morning but lord we believe that you are the god who makes the impossible possible so lord this morning father we pray for a financial breakthrough for serene and others who can associate to this need because lord we know that you will provide our needs according to your riches in glory and lord we pray for the continued recovery of sister olive o god you have started a work and we know you will complete it and god we pray for everyone who can associate to be in that process of healing because we know that healing is our bread healing is the children's bread and by your stripes lord we were healed so this morning we declare your healing over the household of faith all those who are online this morning in the name of jesus we declare your healing now and father we pray for pauline clark and her family we don't know what it is lord but father you know so lord jesus we pray that you will work out that situation for them that lord they will live to tell the testimony of how you showed up in their lives in the name of jesus and father we thank you for the families this morning who are mourning because the bible said in all things we ought to give thanks and lord we know it's very hard for us to deal with losing a loved one no matter how old they are no matter what the circumstances is for the separation of them from us but father we know that your word is powerful and it will accomplish that which you please and the scripture reminds us that blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted so lord we pray you send comfort to the grieving souls this morning send comfort to them lord that they will go through this necessary process of healing and recovery in the name of jesus and lord we thank you for every request that would have come in even after now we pray in advance lord and we give you thanks in jesus name we give you thanks and we give you all the glory this morning we give you all the honor and we give you all the praise in for the organ system such as the reproductive digestive skeletal all the body systems we want to pray for divine healing and we want to heal for psychological issues if there's ever a time we need to pray for the mind touch your mind right now if ever a time a lot of people are breaking under the pressure but we want to pray for healing for all psychological issues our kingdom kids join us today have any enthusiasm i don't have any prayer i don't have any song i just don't have anything i was so weak and i remember the lord said to me give me whatever you have and i will use it whatever if it's a shout if it's a dance whatever just make a song a groaning and i will use it and i remember reluctantly i started just singing just this one this one word this one with [Music] and it changed everything that night and i pray that we bless you this morning [Music] [Music] [Music] and he said dig a little deeper and i dabbled a little deeper and i said i'm amazing [Music] in the midst of how i felt that night i still had to sing i am amazing [Music] glory [Music] [Music] jesus we give you glory [Music] god you are still good [Music] and if he's been amazing in your life [Music] glory we give [Music] i was praising god i remember i started jumping in the room i started my wife was laying on the hospital bed the doctor said she had cancer but i believe that that night something broke in the atmosphere something changed in the atmosphere and in the midst of singing that song i was reminded of another song [Music] another song that clean victory said hallelujah i started smiling because i know [Music] [Music] could not hold you down hey [Music] you are the reason king oh god you were seated [Music] [Music] me [Music] you are [Music] hey come on [Music] me [Music] hold you there is a congregation of god's people gathered in living rooms and bedrooms and homes and verandas and maybe even in the kitchen as you prepare food for today but we still have a right to lift our hands and say hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah because in the midst of your storm he's still god in the midst of your storm he's still god i just want to greet the household of faith not this house but god's household of faith those of you that are watching this morning we welcome you once again thank you for joining us you have so many choices you have so many live streams nowadays that you you can pick choose and refuse but you chose to be with us don't touch that dial because god has a word for you don't tap that screen don't change this stream god has a word for you this morning i we know some people might be wondering how is it we're here because based on what the prime minister said on thursday night there was to be no service today and that is correct but on friday night there was a meeting with the joint umbrella group of churches and the government maybe the prime minister too and some adjustments were made and so by saturday morning we were frantically trying to send out the information to our pastors that we are allowed to have 20 persons in service gathering to produce a live stream or just to pray in worship not multiple services one service for for a short period of time with 20 persons so that's why we're here we're not flouting the law we are law abiding worshipers amen and you'll never hear well i can't speak for all our pastors because people are individuals but we have tried our best as a group of churches the emmanuel group of churches to stand by the law and and operate within the confines of the law and so that's why we're here this morning we have received permission to be here but we just want you to stick and stay because there is a word that god gave me for you this morning i want you right now to just grab your bibles and turn with me to a passage of scripture found in matthew chapter 14 a well known passage everybody has heard this story and after we read this there's a song i want to sing and ask the praise team to help me matthew 14 verse 22 [Music] to 33. chapter 14 from verse 22 to verse 33 and straightway jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship who constrained them jesus jesus commanded them to get into a ship and go before him onto the other side while he sent the multitudes away and when he had sent the multitudes away he went up into a mountain apart to pray and when the evening was come he was there alone but the ship was now in the mids of the sea tossed with waves for the wind was contrary and in the fourth watch of the night somewhere between three and six am jesus went unto them walking on the sea and when the disciples saw him walking on the sea they were troubled one translation says terrified one version says creamed in terror they were troubled saying it is a spirit or a ghost and they cried out for fear but straightway jesus spake unto them saying just cool my brethren be of good cheer it is i be not afraid relax relax look at somebody and tell them relax i don't have many people here today to do that so you out there at home look at your neighbor look at your wife look at your son your daughter somebody and tell them just relax relax and peter answered him and said lord if it be thou bid me come unto thee on the water and he said come and when peter was come down out of the ship he walked on the water to go to jesus but but but somebody say but see peter was walking on the water but uh when he saw the wind boisterous he was afraid and beginning to sink he cried saying lord save me help and immediately jesus stretched forth his hand and caught him and said unto him oh thou of little faith wherefore it's thou doubt i mean you were doing well you were walking by faith on the water and when they were come into the ship the wind ceased then verse 33 and last then they that were in the ship let me go again then they that were in the ship came and worshiped him saying of a truth thou art the son of god my god they got a fresh revelation because of the storm something i've always noticed here before we pray and sing the bible says when jesus stretched forth his hand and caught him and said unto him o thou of little faith wherefore did thou doubt the bible simply says and when they were come into the ship the wind ceased it doesn't tell us that jesus picked up peter and took him back to the ship it tells us that when he was sinking and cried for him that he reached out and grabbed him you know what i believe and this is just my belief this is just my overactive mind it may not be your uh interpretation but because jesus said where for did you doubt peter said oh come on wake up you know and peter walked back on the water to the boat that's my belief it may not be yours but and i'm not saying that's exactly what happened but i believe when jesus reminded him of who he was and you were doing well you started walking on the water why did you doubt peter must have said okay okay and the bible says and when they came back to the ship the wind ceased not before so from where he was sinking to get back to the boat the storm was still raging and i believe he walked on that stormy sea and got back to the boat but that's just my belief let's bow our heads father we thank you we need a word from you now even as the world is in this storm this chaos this pandemic that is dividing the church and causing mayhem the science is not even sure what's happening the scientists can't even be certain lord we understand but you know you know i pray this morning that you will cement in our hearts that there is a blessing in the storm for us as we go through your word in the name of jesus somebody say amen amen sing along with us hallelujah like a saying yeah on a trip so rough and long so far from shore so far from home [Music] i set out in search of a reason to go on and then i found it in the eye storm help me crazy no madness come on say [Music] [Music] will lead me safely through the night [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] can you help me with the second verse maybe low but go ahead sing the second [Music] blessed rocket round speak speech to my [Music] he souls me in his eyes [Music] [Applause] [Music] shape of mind they may be torn one more time [Music] you know [Music] [Applause] may [Music] if hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah i speak peace in the midst of your storm right now somebody watching us you are full of fear don't be fearful instead be faithful full of faith come on somebody look at somebody and tell them i'm full of faith i'm not gonna let the circumstances shoot me up and cause me to fail and fall i'll find rest in the eye of the storm thank you praise team i'll bless you [Music] god bless you you may be seated everyone i'll find rest in the eye of the storm hallelujah [Music] hallelujah my blessings in the storm who would ever think that there would be hidden blessings in a storm for you who would ever think that in a storm you can expect blessings who would ever believe that even in this pandemic god can bless you you better believe it because in this passage of scripture we we find the disciples of our lord not the disciples of john not some old testament patriarchs who never have been feeling of the holy spirit the way we do in this dispensation but the disciples of jesus were trapped in the grip of a fierce storm now first of all understand that these men were experienced sailors sea men they were not novices like you and i who get a chance to sail from kingston to port royal or from you know miami to one of those cruises to the bahamas or something and there's a storm these guys live on the sea for days at a time they have been through a lot of storms they've been through a lot of situations and they find themselves in this storm because they had been commanded by the commander to obey the command to go across to the other side now this even is very interesting jesus was the one who said unto them go ahead of me across to the other side get in the ship and go do you think jesus had amnesia do you think he never recognized that there was going to be a storm he's god he he knows everything before it happens and jesus sends his boys across the sea knowing that a storm was brewing and didn't tell them a thing oh my god i remember last year when the pandemic hit all kinds of prophets in quotations and i you know i'm very slow to condemn anyone i mean god is a judge and so some of them might be genuine prophets but sometimes you can speak a word for god when it's not really from god so because you are the man of god anything you say people can believe it's from god but not necessarily so don't you remember how they were driving back and decreeing and declaring that it would stop and would perish and go back in the sea matter of fact some of the great men of faith died of coving and people are saying but wait you said you won't die and couldn't die until you are ready to die so how come were you ready to die with covet and all of these things were happening and i remember so many prophetic words were made that people said oh yes let the church just come in agreement and and stand behind this and listen god sent his boys into a storm knowing that there was going to be a storm and he never even gave them a priest he never said but but you know when you're going there might be some little villas and turbulent you know no just just go across so that's the first thing i observe these men were in the will of god yes god that sent them sometimes you may find yourself in storms and circumstances and situations that make you wonder where god is that questions the possibility of you being outside of the will of god hush the fact that you're in a storm doesn't mean you're not in the will of god you might very well be in the will of god and sometimes it's because you are in the will of god why there is a storm so um yeah yeah one of my one of my one of my friends and associate been saying something that i grabbed onto and i i love it i agree it's not everything that looks good is of god and it's not everything that looks bad is of the devil you agree it's not everything that looks bad is of the devil so some people see you going through your stuff on your bad days and situations and they're ready to put their mouth on you shut up shut up the best of business in the mind of business is to mind your own business you are ready to point at me and to tell me i must be altered the will of god why this is happening to my family and why this is happening to my business and this and why i lose hush who made you a judge over me praise the lord everybody god bless you i love you but some some people are so religious you know and they're so holier than thou and they're ready to judge you and to pass all kinds of unkind remarks these men were in the will of god but they were in a storm lord told them cross go over to the other side and and and now they find themselves as experienced sailors unable to deal with the wind that was in their face and and the boat they they must have felt i believe based on how the bible described they were terrified one version said they screamed out for can you ever hear men scream yet usually these ladies screaming i you know all do men scream read about them there scream for me some money [Laughter] but but when i hear scream some ladies scream for me some ladies you hear the difference i don't think my audience can hear it but but one one one bible version said they screamed in fear so when it was ahoy or i don't know but it seems to me like they got to the point where they believed they were about to die i don't think any of us here live on the sea i don't think there are any fishermen here or sailors here we may have had some experiences but have you ever been in a car and something is happening that you you sense an accident could take place and wipe you out and in a split second your mind goes from you or a baby a child growing up right through your life through school through marriage and everything and your whole life flashes before you in an instant as i can say oh god my dead now that's what self is saying to you but jesus like with peter would say come on relax i got this i got this somebody say i got this god is saying to you i got this the circumstance you were in the storm you're in the problems you're facing i got this huh these men were stuck in a storm and unable to get out and so thankfully however there is some good news for us today from the word of god that while the storms of life are never pleasant while the storms of life are threatening and just cause all kinds of fear to come over us they do produce certain benefits in our lives that we would do well to take note of today the bible says now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous but grieve us nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby that's hebrews chapter 12 and verse 11. so i invite you to hop with me into the boat of the disciples this morning in their storm and let's take a first hand view and get an experience of what was happening to them as they traveled on the instruction of their lord the commander who sent them to go across as we do this i want to show you that the storms of life contain some hidden blessings for the children of god you may not see them it will not come spelt out to you it will look like nonsense it will look like there is no way in the natural that this makes sense but there is a blessing in this guy somebody say a blessing in disguise i do not know what kind of storm you're facing today what i know is there are different kinds of storm and you're either in a storm coming out of a storm or going into a storm whatever phase you're in i want to share some keys with you this morning that's going to help you please grab a pen and paper don't commit it to memory the faintest of pens is better than the sharpest of memories and make some notes whether on your device or on paper but praise god you need to hear what god is saying to you today because i do know that the lord has a purpose in allowing your storms to come in your life um can somebody say amen storms are raging but there is a purpose so perhaps that purpose will become a little clearer today by the time we are through especially if you take notes and i'm emphasizing that because we as the body of christ we we like to be entertained nobody takes a note pen when you're watching a movie or a documentary you just watch and be entertained this is not entertainment this is for your blessing this is for your growth this is for your stability even in this storm number one the first point is that storms are god's way or means of transportation storms are god's means of transportation you see the very thing that the disciples feared on the sea was the very thing the lord used as a vehicle to reveal himself unto them and he will do the same for you in your life there are things that we face there are storms that scare us and god will use those same things those same storms to reveal himself to you in other words god will allow and bring a situation to give you a revelation don't miss it every situation that comes in your life comes so that god can give you a revelation of himself and it's not that we don't know but we forget so easily remember the children of israel every miracle they saw they were like whoa this has to be god but by tomorrow they forgot notice that jesus came to them that night and notice how he came pay attention pay close attention because number one he comes in the face of darkness the bible says about the fourth watch come on jesus you sent us over here from from before you know i i imagine it was like some you know sundown maybe i'm just again using my imagination so he said go across and and jesus goes up in the mountain to pray well first of all he he sent the people home you know they don't want to go they just want to hang around jesus feet and be blessed and he said hey guys i know you know but it's time to go time to go you don't have to go home but you can't stay here when we had the restaurant we played that song every night at closing time it's closing time you don't have to go home but you can't stay here so jesus must have said to the crowd it's closing time you don't have to go home you can go wherever you want but you can't stay here let's go and then he goes up into the mountains to pray and while he's there he knows that his disciples are experiencing difficulty not just because he heard it on the weather channel he was the weather he commanded the weather he he you understand and then when he when the storm started don't you think it would have made more sense andre if if jesus had come to them when it began to get you know choppy and they're saying lord of mercy lightning and thunder wouldn't it have made more sense if jesus had come to them about that time to say you're about to go through a storm but just fasten your seatbelt hang tight i'm gonna bring no he didn't do that he sat there maybe smiling looking at them and saying all right let me test their faith now and see what they're gonna to let me see how they're going to respond to what is happening in their circumstances at this time so we came later on the bible says between 3 a.m and 6 00 a.m somewhere in the fourth watch the darkest hours of the night jesus comes walking on the water the bible says when they saw him now it's dark apparently there may be a little moonlight but we're not sure and when he comes walking on the water they see him and immediately they got scared now watch this it's one thing to be in a storm that is about to take you out it's another thing to be in a storm with a ghost coming to add in salt to injury you see what i'm saying just when you thought sometimes in our lives that you got over and you know thank god for the breakthrough another storm hits anybody ever been there yeah just when you thought it was over elder nick something else comes another calamity remember joe boy i wish i had time you know the story of job every time he was just getting bad news after bad news and so a storm is hitting but a ghost is coming to them now i don't know about you but um there are men who are afraid of lizards too not just women afraid of lizards they're men who are afraid of liz if they're men who are afraid of lizards i think these men were afraid of ghosts because to me a ghost should be worse than a lizard at least you can grab some spray or grab a broom or throw shoes or something and kill the lizard what are you going to do with the ghost who you're going to call there's something strange going on here jesus we're out here on the sea and you know you should know jesus that there was going to be a storm but you never told us you never even gave us a hint so let me tell you something beloved you may be walking in the darkness of your season and the darkest time of your life right now but jesus is about to come walking to you on the water in your storm but don't mistake him for a spirit an evil spirit you've got to know let me remind you that our god is ever with you hebrews 13 verse 5 and let me remind you that even in the darkest hour of life god is still god and he is still in control of your life first kings 8 and verse 12 says then spake solomon the lord said that he would dwell in the thick darkness the lord said that he will dwell in what thick darkness gross darkness 144 darkness gross darkness thick darkness if i say short of the darkness shall cover thee even the night shall be light about me yea the darkness hideth not from thee but the night shineth as the day how can that be the bible says the darkness and the light are both alike to thee but only if you are seeing jesus in the darkness oh god oh you missed it you missed it let me go back and get you and bring it up i don't care how dark it gets in your life if you can keep your eyes on jesus in the darkness you will never see the darkness huh the darkness is there oh yeah you know it's dark you know you're going through a storm you know you're having some challenges but when you keep your eyes on jesus which is what jesus told peter he said how come why did you become doubtful why didn't you just keep your eyes on me boy you were doing good all you had to do was keep walking looking at me keep your eyes on jesus and when you're looking at jesus the darkness and the light are as one because even in the darkest hour of life uh light cannot hide itself from you when you're looking at the face of god can somebody say amen you see you cannot see the darkness of your storm if you're looking at jesus the reason it seems dark to you you have not turned on the jesus switch oh come on somebody tell somebody turn on the jesus switch in the midst of your crisis turn on the jesus switch in the midst of your perplexities turn on the jesus switch oh i feel like preaching already i thought i was just going to take my time and share this word but i feel the anointing of god telling somebody out there watching turn on the jesus switch because when you get home at night so if you're home and it gets dark all you do is go to the wall and flip the switch and what happens light comes on there is a jesus switch in your heart that when it gets dark in your life all you've got to do is flip the switch and when you turn on the switch oh god it's going to get light can i can i go on can i go on ah you cannot see jesus and darkness at the same time oh my god you've got to see the light so he comes in the face of darkness but he also comes in the face of disaster maybe dark in your life and disaster is about to take place jesus is coming not just to be a light to you and to give you assurance but he's coming in the midst of your disaster he may not take you out of the disaster but he'll walk with you through it and isn't it good to know that sometimes god does not remove his child from the storm but he removes the fear out of his child while you go through the storm so stop asking god to move your mountain ask him to give you grace and strength to climb it ah yes somebody come come on come on come on come on somebody say give me strength to climb my mountains god disciples were in a fight for their lives the disciples were terrified mark 6 48 says that they were toiling in rowing that is they were struggling against a storm yes their lives were in jeopardy there are times when we feel like we have lost the battle based on the storm there are times when we feel like it will never get better and you are going to get worse before this storm is over the devil is a liar you need to say satan shut up i speak the word of god over my life i am the head and not the tale i am blessed and not cursed i am blessed going out and blessed coming in come on you got to speak the word over your life you've got to confess what the word of god says and come in agreement with the word of god somebody put your hands together because just when it looks bleak as just look around jesus is about to show up remember he showed up for the disciples but don't make the mistake they made to think it was somebody else than who it really was because he will keep you in the midst of the storm think of the three hebrew boys that were kept in the storm think of daniel in the lion's den think of noah in the flood god did not prevent any of these things from happening but he kept them in the midst of the dead of lion in the fire he kept them in the furnace he kept noah in that boat through that flood he will keep you in your storm can somebody put your hands together and praise god so don't look at your circumstances look at your circumstander when i got that this morning i said god what's that i've never heard this word circumstander i jumped in the dictionary and started looking online circumstance couldn't find it but i knew it was a word from god god said to tell the people don't look at your circumstances look at the circumstander i said god what does that mean he gave me the definition you ready for the definition god so i told you grab your pen and work here's a definition of the word circumstander a circumstander is the one who controls your life by standing on this or standing in the center of the circumference of your circumstantial storms oh a circumstance here's the definition is the one who controls your life by standing in the center of the circumference of your circumstantial storms and when i when god when god opened my mind and i saw it i said thank you jesus because he's standing in the center of the circumference what's the circumference the circumference is entire one lap around the entire circle i don't care what bubble you're in i don't care what problem you are in this morning i don't care what difficulty i don't care how big you know your big storms and small storms we live in a hurricane zone in jamaica and those who may be watching overseas you know this too um storms have various sizes sometimes it's a small storm and sometimes it's a big storm where the outer bands just go as far as you can imagine well it doesn't matter how far the outer bands of your storm are blowing this morning you need to take your eyes off the circumstances and look on the circumstander the one who controls your life by standing in the center of the circumference of your circumstantial storms because god is gonna be there with you and he's gonna say don't be afraid just peace relax it's okay you may be in a circle of disaster but look to the circumstander somebody put your hands together and praise god this morning he's coming to you he's coming to you walking on the storms of your life walking on the waters of your storm so he comes in the face of darkness number two he comes in the face of disaster and number three he also comes in the face of the deep yeah the very thing the disciples fear the rage and see the pillars dashing that made them feel like they were about to die that's the same thing that god used to transport himself now if you are in a boat and the boat is passing and about to capsize and you're fearing for your life trying to fight against the winds and here comes what appears to be a ghost just chilling and walking because jesus wasn't doing this you know you think jesus was like this in the storm oh no jesus was just walking man he was just coming and just coming to them calm cool and collected and when they saw no wonder they thought he was a ghost because they said oh my god what is this we haven't they forgot the storm they forgot the star they were now more terrified about the spirit and then jesus begins to speak to them because in the face of the deep he will speak to you in ways that might shock you in ways that might surprise you in ways you never expected can somebody say amen see storms are god's means of testing they're not just his means of transportation but they're his means of testing and they reveal the savior to you not only do they reveal the savior but they reveal him in a message of peace because the first thing jesus said to them was what what was the first thing jesus said to them notice he told them cheer up yes in the midst of the storm jesus is saying to you this morning cheer up how can i cheer up god i've lost my job i've i've lost my business now three days of lockdown is just gonna wipe me out jesus said i said cheer up by his power the son of god can give us peace in the midst of the storm in the midst of the lockdown that is the piece he refers to in philippians 4 verse 6 and 7 not only did he bring a message of peace but he brought a message of power when jesus showed up he came declaring his identity he said be of good cheer peace it is i yeah it is the i am you you miss it again you miss it again when jesus says it is i he was saying ah it is the i am that's here with you now what do you mean i am that's what he told moses oh to tell pharaoh what should i tell them who should i tell them sell me jesus says just tell him i am that i am i am the yeah tell him i am that i am in other words what that means for us is whatever you need in a storm jesus is saying i am that you need deliverance in your storm god is saying i am your deliverance you need peace in the storm god is saying i am your peace what you need food i am that too i'll provide for you i'll protect you whatever you need god is saying i am that i that i am put your hands together and praise god somebody so he comes with a message of power he comes with a message of potential because jesus issues the command he said be not afraid if the i am is with you why are you fearful what are you afraid of i am with you be of good cheer cheer up relax don't be afraid you can stop fearing and don't you ever fear again now i speak to every born-again believer this morning stop fearing this pandemic and don't fear again now let me make a disclaimer i'm not telling you to be crazy and go everywhere without a mask and do this and don't do that and don't wash and no i'm not saying that my god i'm just saying do what you have to do and stay home when you don't have to go anywhere but trust god and stop fearing your life is hid in the hands of god i don't care delta variant whatever kind of variant vaccinated or not vaccinated i'm telling you trust god because if he allows you to die your life is still in god's hand you cannot die if god doesn't allow you but you can die if you are careless so hear me today in the midst of this pandemic storm you've got to look for the blessings and i see god appearing to us in the midst of the storm and saying be not afraid and i just want to make sure nobody is misinterpreting what i'm saying now i'm not one of those preachers who tell you oh just go ahead and do it you know this thing can't touch your man you're covered under the blood of jesus oh yes well the blood of jesus should have covered all the way from cancer and all the way from arthritis and all the way from all of that but but some of us die from different things and if you die from the kovid it's not that god couldn't protect you it's just that it's your time because your life is hid with christ in god and so be careful but know that your life is under control of god can somebody say amen so your storms reveal the savior they refine the saint and it brings you closer to him they reveal the savior they refine the saint because peter now got a fresh revelation and a lesson and the message that you shouldn't be walking in fear the way you were they also remind the saint peter wanted to walk on the water to jesus he put the lord to the test and stepped out onto the sea however he took his eyes off jesus and when you stop looking at jesus you are in for defeat when you stop looking at jesus you are about to sink when you stop looking at jesus the storm is about to overshadow you and overpower you he remembered who was in control and he called out lord save me i need help it's one thing about jesus even when we take our eyes off him and some of you don't take your eyes off jesus looking to the object man you better repent uh sing a sunky light a candle and come back home to jesus my god because when you take your eyes off jesus he is still merciful peter took his eyes off jesus started looking at the circumstances and he was going down and as he went down he cried help but jesus didn't say you see it's a good thing that god is not like man because if god wasn't like man or if i was god please i have no ambitions to be god but i'm just saying the way i think if i were god when peter started sinking i would say serve you right you come out you're showing off to the rest of the fellas that you want to walk on water you're not keeping your eyes on me you begin to look at the circumstances but thank god god is not like man thank god god will see us in our weakest frame he will see us in our weakest estate and he will know that maybe we have faith when we began but somewhere along the line we have to say lord i believe but help my unbelief and god is gonna reach you and pick you up and remind you who you are god is gonna leave you to come to grips with reality and recognize that your life is hid in his hands he comes in the face of darkness he comes in the face of disaster he also comes in the face of the deep because storms are god's means of testimony they testify of his power who else could it be that's keeping you alive if you think it's the alarm clock that woke you up this morning try putting it beside a dead body tonight he's still going to be dead tomorrow but it was god who woke me up this morning i said it was god who started me on my way it is god who put breath in my lungs i love the song you did this morning yeah it's you who put the breath it's your breath in my lungs so i'm gonna pour out my praise is there any person today who is ready to pour out the praise take me higher is there anybody here today watching me by live stream that's ready to pour out some praise on it more i said you gotta praise him more when the storm is raging because it's a testimony of the power of jesus christ it's a testimony of the person of jesus christ yes hallelujah i've got a blessing in my storm now i've got a blessing in corona i've got a blessing in this pandemic and i'm gonna let the world know that my god is alive my god is alive my god is real and regardless of the circumstances i'm looking at the circumstances the one who stands in the center of the circumference of all my circumstantial storms and he is in control of my life if you know that god is keeping you what you're gonna worry about if you know that god is keeping you why don't you sing and shout glory hallelujah praise his name can somebody say glory hallelujah praise his name glory hallelujah praise his name i've got a blessing in the storm if you can rejoice for your blessings in the storm this morning stand up in this building yeah stand up in your home come on come on obey the voice of god if you want the blessing today hallelujah obey what god is saying because the storm is about to overwhelm you stand up on your feet and let the enemy know that you've got a blessing in the storm and though your ship may be rocking and your sails may be torn i shall rest i shall rest i shall rest in the eye of the storm thank you jesus thank you jesus my blessings in the storm come on put your hands together for god the blesser who blesses you in the storm the one who comes alongside to help like he did come praise him like he did with the disciples it seems like all hope was gone i almost one evening it was an awards presentation type of thing they serve the salad i love salad [Music] when i was a kid salad for me was a slice of tomato maybe a piece of lettuce maybe cucumber now i can eat a whole big bowl of salad and nothing else and more of us need to practice that but anyway that's not the point so i ate the salad then the second course came it was soup salad and then the main course and then um dessert and then coffee like a five course meal man we enjoy that food i mean because at least it looked like chicken it didn't look like the same kind of chicken we have in jamaica look like chicken i had a hard time warming up to the other and you know you eat with your your hands you just pick up that stuff dip it in the gravy anyway i had that meal that night enjoyed the function went back to the hotel where we were staying i kid you not my stomach began to gripe me went to the bathroom sorry it might be gross i don't want to gross anybody else but you do it too so just put yourself in my place mine isn't worse than yours i went to the bathroom and i extricated and i went back to bed all of us all three of us had separate rooms and i went to the bathroom about seven times in 20 minutes and i was like by this time i'm griping in pain i'm in a fetal position [Music] i can't call jillian because i'm an ethiopian there's no we tried to get roman so it just didn't work i don't even know if we had internet i tried to i called the front as i said is there a doctor in the hotel they said no sir i said is there one nearby i said maybe but sir it's it's 3 30 in the morning i don't think you're gonna fly i said god help me i kid you now that i'm saying this to really let you know for the first time in my life andre i thought i was dying that's how bad it was honestly i thought i was dying you want to hear the rest of it i don't want to tell you the rest i started elder i got on my knees and started repenting [Music] i said god forgive me for this remember when i did that and forgive me i thought i was dying i was trying to make it right serious i was trying to make it right that i would go to him if i died that's probably about 8 years ago or more [Music] but sometimes the experiences we have bring us to the edge to the verge to the brink of death storms that was a storm that i was going through and your storm may be different from my story but you still feel like you just can't make it and sometimes we almost let go could you put those words on the screen please hallelujah [Music] [Music] like i just couldn't take life [Music] anymore my problems had me bound [Music] but god held me close [Music] that's what happened to the disciples they were just about to give up [Music] [Music] his mind [Music] peter it was jesus who even have a fan much more air conditioning i see i see yeah but look to jesus this morning there's a blessing in your storm it's a blessing in your store i see a father who is embarrassed because you've been unable to supply the needs for your home and for for some men that's that's that's a hard that's like a gunshot to the heart some wayward men it doesn't matter they they've never been concerned with providing but true fathers true men who provide for their family i see you sir i see several of you now almost crying it's just it's just a pride right the tears are not rolling but you have not been able to bless your family to take care you have not been able to bring in the income to even buy basic groceries but god says to remind you there's a blessing in your store it's a blessing in your store here's a song we used to sing when i was choir master we taught it and we still sing it every now and then peace be still master the tempest is rage the pillars are tossing high
