foreign [Music] mode and today on Hollywood we are coming to you with your Emily in Paris season three part two review listen I did it you're welcome so the second half of the season starts off with Emily in an orange textured rain jacket that's paired over top of a clingy skirt set and to be honest I'm confused on why we don't see Emily in more poochie it's bright it's Brash and it's positively overwhelming just like her now I'm unsure of where the jacket comes from but to be honest I don't hate it mostly because the texture is intriguing and the way that it flares at the back most likely because of some sort of string that can be pulled and create that sort of tension is good and intriguing and reminds me of traditional tailoring as for the skirt set it is from the new and improved poochie by Camille Miceli the former accessories director of Louis Vuitton under Mark Jacobs and nikolajeskierre as well as John galliano's Dior now Michelli has taken over Pucci founded in 1947 as a ski brand and quickly became a very well known and well-to-do print and color-centric brand for both the hot and the cold climates and the hot and the cold people but Miceli has brought it back to its roots by keeping it focused on the Jet Set lifestyle and the working outside of the cyclical fashion calendar that the brand originally started with now this set is actually called the girandole which translates to a branched Candlestick or light fixture which might explain the motif that we're seeing but out of all of the poochie prince in existence recently of course this is the one Emily would be put in now when Emily arrives in Provence though she wears a blue and white polka dot dress with some sort of triangular stomach cut out and some puff sleeves and it works perfectly for the south of France I mean like take what you can get the bucket bag made of wicker with panels of leather doesn't feel too American Tourist and I have to say the leather gives it a little bit more of a modern feel so shout out to Polen which is the French brand that makes it I will say a close-up showcases Emily's pearl body jewelry underneath the dress and I just need Marilyn fetusi to know that it's just not going to come back it's fetch it is the fetch of fashion like it's just no leave the body jewelry at home for a McLaren event which is a car company that Emily is working she goes full lavender field in a purple cocktail dress with white and green Rose motifs running throughout it but what really makes the outfit Stand Out is the purple curly frilled jacket from Iris apples h m collaboration line now well I don't like h m because it's fast fashion I do think that the jacket is rather Immaculate and honestly does capture the feel of legendary interior designer Iris apples very loud aesthetic which to be honest definitely feels like a more refined and cultured version of Emily's I do wonder if Emily is wearing this purple because Provence is a known procurer of some of the best Lavender in the world or at least the best French lavender in the world or because the McLaren car on display for the event is purple either way I think it's a smart nod and the outfit really does work here and I think Marilyn fatusi does a very good job of connecting things as for Sylvie she keeps it light and simple in a salmon colored chiffon dress with a black and green woven wide belt and listen while it's not my yum I don't think I'll be yucking this look considering it feels normal sof wear and I mean sof is short for south of France because I really don't want to say it a lot it just it takes up a lot of words also quick side note Catherine Antoine's wife is cheaper than everybody thus far in the show the loose blouse and linen pant combo was so Chic and I mean that muted lace dress Gorge hot sexy I'm in love although I do think that Sylvie's lettuce hem dress from proenza schoolers little secondary line called White Label with the Blurred poppy Motif is honestly rather cool too Emily finishes the episode off in a little orange vest with pieces of glass and paets piping it and while I I could say that the use of the white and the bright orange here could be a reference to I don't know color palettes of the 1960s I still don't like the look we're moving on though episode seven the episode begins with Emily and Mindy both in yellow outfits and for the first time this season Mindy actually looks better than Emily so Holly low I am unsure of where her sleeveless skirt suit is from but I do love it seriously I mean that like it's not a joke I'm not lying I'm not making it up the cut of the Blazer is supreme from the way that it nips in the waist to the flare of the Hem of the jacket that feels almost Penny like with a little bit of like a mugler Twist but not nearly as dramatic it's wonderful and when we see the sleeves whose shape is sharp from the front but also puffed to appear soft from the side it just adds another fantastic technical layer to the jacket Mindy also wears a little Blaze clutch bag by mailman and I think that the little white crocodile embossed leather with the gold Hardware plays well with with the rest of the outfit as for Emily her geometrically printed dresses from designer Mary catron Zoo the British designer who is known for pretty extreme Prince and exaggerated colors the dress is actually from catron Zoo's spring 2009 collection which was her graduate collection from Central St Martin's master's program and it focused on trumploa Prince of oversized jewelry on bonded Jersey which means it's a little bit stiffer long story short this dress is kind of a flex family to be honest I mean like listen having a graduate collection kind of moment from a notable designer I appreciate from like an archival sort of fashion history collector standpoint as for the multi-colored parka in yellow and orange or the purple boots they can go and I don't really feel like I need to explain why now as for the Prada triangle bag I think between the colors of the parka and the geometric elements of the Katrin Zoo dress it works we then get to see Gregory Elliott Dupree a designer who we met in season two who worked for or Pierre Cado but has begun his own line now he is showcasing his versions of the new uniforms for Air France which is actually a very kind of common occurrence for fashion designers from all over the world they are oftentimes asked to design certain Airline uniforms and something that just sort of has been happening I think since the 60s and so to see Gregory showcasing his collection in a mini airplane reminds me so much of Carl lagerfeld's airplane themed collection and I don't mean the one in the grand Palais you know the version with the airport terminal no no no no no no but rather spring 2012's the oat Couture it was iconic it was great it's one of my favorite Carl collections ever it was shown in a faux airplane cabin with guests sitting like passengers on a very chic non-flying bus it might even explain the reference to the gold chains that remind one of Chanel that Gregory wears all over his body and while I think that the outfits Gregory shows are blah at best I do think the concept of flight attendants as dominatrix is kind of funny me considering that they do have a control over passengers I am one I'm terrified of them Icelandic Air honestly are the scariest ones to me I love the Icelandic Air flight attendants they just terrify me and later in the episode we get to see Mindy in a full Look by Gregory to hang out at a picnic now I'm kind of a little bit more convinced it's decent here just still not for a flight attendant uniform I mean God can you imagine how much talcum powder they need every day to get in and out of those tops alone Mindy then adds a little black blazer over top of her latex outfit and then adds in a little llama Medusa bag in Red by Versace and I mean the bag is fine but why not choose something a little bit more s m related Versace has made bondage oriented bags before and I presume that they were in reference to it's very iconic fall 1992 collection that was titled Miss S and M maybe what about those Louis Vuitton bags that you know had the chain motifs throughout them from I believe it's like spring 2016. who am I I'm not a stylist I just feel like this was a wasted opportunity in terms of bags you know we could have chose a fun one with a cool reference to s m culture and dress now Emily's last outfit of the episode is a black and silver Blazer in a geometric Square pattern that is actually in my opinion rather 1960s looking at least in terms of the motif and apparently it's also by Junior Watanabe so like okay it's a non-offensive Emily look that doesn't draw too much tension to itself although considering it's an Emily look it always just about draws too much attention to itself I mean I wonder if maybe that's why Pierre Cado was so wobbly when he was in the street going to meet Emily and then like proceeded to get hit by a car I don't know I mean like listen I might throw myself into traffic looking at those outfits all the time too this next episode makes us believe that Pierre is dead spoiler alert I'm sorry with the cast you know all dressed in black and somewhat somber but the outfits are still way too crazy for a funeral in a cemetery although they're very chic it's a little bit much and that is when we also learned that piercato is fine now speaking of the looks let's start with Emily who wears a black jacket and skirt but with rather intriguing shoulders the look is by the designer Andrew Gunn and is from the fall 2021 collection where we can see in detail the signature shoulder technique that gun has honed for almost two decades I'm into it essentially a panel of fabric is sculpted around the shoulder which imitates the Pagoda shoulder which was developed by none other than you guessed it Pierre Cardenas I commend fetusi's Brilliance in this moment of being able to pay homage to Pierre cardan through a very cool and modern designer while still very much so appreciating and essentially educating a younger audience on who the real Pierre kedo was shout out Marilyn we see each other now the use of black is great because it also helps play to the storyline of Pierre being dead and you know going to a funeral or a wake or something like that and those little pleated detachable cuffs are just a fun little nod to Elizabethan Arrow style and dress so I'm into it as for Sylvie she seems to wear a Rick Owens blouse with long sleeves that is more than likely from the brand spring 2022 collection I mean the top it's fantastic and it has such like a reality to it and I mean it's impractical but who cares about practicality when a you're filming a TV show and B when you are Sylvie Greta and there is a lot of Exposed Skin which I think is cool as well it not only means that Filipino is comfortable with it but also that women of a certain age should not be afraid to Showcase their bodies if that's what they want I think between the exposed sternum and the stomach and the knee cutouts it's honestly like a really brilliant look that proves that Sylvie style is not to be messed with now when Asian scroto holds a meeting with Gregory Emily's top with upturned shoulders and with patent buckles is another moment that fit2c showcases her attention to detail Emily nonstopyricado and Pierre Cardin in the shoulders but also plays to Gregory's BDSM styles through the straps and I think that it does a wonderful job of Emily and arjon scartos attempt to placate both of these designers Sylvie then has a meeting with Louis de Leon who is the owner of jvma and she wears a striped Schiaparelli suit by Daniel Roseberry from the spring 2022 collection now Sylvie once again flexes both her fashion and professional muscles as the suit is killer and with its little buttons each being gold castings of things like lockets or squiggles and the cut of the Blazer which sucks in the waist beautifully it just adds to the effect now Mindy's latex look for her performance is actually pretty sweet and the full Crystal encrusting going on you know helps to make it feel a little bit different than the Gregory design look that we already saw her in as for Emily I I think her spelled reflective blue double-breasted suit is actually rather Chic for her but I can't get past her hair and so it's kind of ruined the entirety of the look for me listen you know me I don't talk about people's hair makeup anything like that unless it really throws off the vibe of a look and this really threw the vibe off of a cliff Emily then delivers Sylvie's bad news about the Pierre Cado announcement in an exaggerated shoulder skirt set by the Danish brand rotate Berger Christensen and to be honest it's cute the swirl effect in black and blue is also very lovely and it allows for a little bit of a crazy Motif without being horrendously ugly which is what Emily kind of deserves to not be horrendously ugly not just horrendously ugly and Emily's next outfit remains eye-catching without being eye burning in a Bowman cocktail dress in silver and black this little knit dress fits with Olivier Ruston's sometimes futuristic vision and while it's not my favorite Emily look kardam was a futurist and fatusi might be trying to possibly address the forward-looking Notions of Gregory's appointment I tried still doesn't make me like the dress all that much but there was an attempt at least and as for Mindy her dress is ravish it's a black like red dress by Maison Soraya with an almost sheer bodice except for the swirl motifs over the bust ribs and neckline and it's honestly like so fantastic on her like it's a great dress it's like this it's one of the looks of the episode and then the episode ends off with Emily in a full Cherry printed Ensemble and well we're just gonna be moving on you know I mean moving on swiftly people episode 9 starts with Emily picking Alfie up from the famous French train station gardenor and wearing another outfit she wears a double-breasted jacket by D Squared in a blinding yellow with black hot pants with a pink perforated floral shirt underneath which honestly out of everything is kind of cute it's just not cute under that and I understand that the headscarf probably plays to the character and her basicness but I still can't stand it I do think that the printed scarf is maybe a way to tie into the very busy Gucci bamboo bag that she's you know wearing ring but either way I still dislike it around her head but Emily's Emily's makes me feel reassured though as the wide leg jeans that she has on paired with a poochie abstract printed jacket that flows out as she tromps down the stairs of the sakakur has honestly like a pretty cool 1970s feeling about it now apparently she is also wearing a Chanel crossbody in neon pink Tweed and while I think it's a color that works with the outfit I would rather just have seen you know like a caviar leather version and called it a day I do love the jacket with the pants like it was cute we move on and I will say that Julian in a Dame printed Louis Vuitton jacket in teal and white is really cute and then we also saw Cami and she returns to Paris and a rather Chic look too can't find what the brand is but the cross Motif crop top and asymmetrical skirt is very cute and feels kind of good for rekindling your love with your boyfriend now the black lace piping on the skirt is the real element that to be completely honest makes it a winner and with the black buckle Mary Janes well I think it makes kemi's return non-offensive visually and I'll take it I should also mention a quick but effortless moment from Sylvie in that Cape top with the black cigarette pants all done up it was cute it was Chic it was sexy I mean the walk up the steps inside the Opera Garnier was really luscious to me as for Emily her full floral look by Magda Bertram which matches might I pleasantly add is kind of cute for her and when she kind of sort of got kicked out of Mindy's party her burgundy A-line coat is a perfect match it's Chic it's effortless and still has the colorful energy Emily usually goes for and the last look of the episode shows that Emily in a hot air balloon wearing a cherry printed dress in white with an off-the-shoulder little cut is it's okay but at least it's not horrible you know what I mean also I only just realized that the brand that Emily has been working on for the pitch for this whole episode was Emmy par is the French luxury brand run by Alexandra Matisse and it was a cute nod to a younger brand that I'm sure will help the brand with sales even more than it already is doing so EIP you have my respect there and now listen we're at the finale episode thank goodness I'm I'm tired of watching this show it's been a long and wild ride but luckily it's almost at a close I should mention that the episode is called charade which presumably in my opinion an Ode to the iconic Audrey Hepburn film of the same name that is a cool comedy romance mystery but I better see some Audrey Hepburn charade-esque looks and I know I won't but you cannot name the episode that and then expect me not to expect level up like it's that's rude and disrespectful also if you're like oh I need to like cleanse my palette of Emily in Paris you've never seen charade go watch it if you have seen charade go watch it again because you know it's fantastic anyways Emily starts the episode off with a loudly platted look in black white and red which isn't unusual for her but it's like kind of uncommon her just wearing somber-esque things is just not usual Emily now I mean the miniature checkerboard jacket is rather interesting only because from a distance it looks like a plaid but only up close can you see that it truly is just like a checkerboard Motif now the houndstooth pants with The Frayed edges actually does a decent job of keeping the look on a somewhat cohesive and consistent path but the page Boy hat as per usual does way too much and makes me want to get zapped with a blend and black stick so I forget everything as for kemi She Goes for a black with white detailed collarless sweater which has that traditional Chanel feel just without the boucle Tweety texture and the sweater is a mew mew Style again probably an homage to the very iconic Chanel aesthetical sort of style with the colorless element the pockets with the trim but the bag that she's wearing is a Prada re-edition mini bag in that light yellow and seeing that Prada and Mimi are sister companies it seems kind of smart to like pair them together I presume that cami is also wearing this because it's meant to sort of be like traditional iconic classic French style does it work it's okay as for the big restaurant night for Gabrielle kemi keeps her Prada Oola effect going now she's wearing a triangle chainmail dress you know and then she's put it over top of a Prada logo tank top in white it's flashy and it's fun and it pays homage again to the 1960s and its Space Age designers like Paco Roba who use chainmail quite a bit well also you know nodding to neutraprada's own love of the 1960s and you know the constant Reflections on the decade as well plus the fact that it's you know the product triangle as for Emily she continues on her very plaid adventure with those little knit crop top and matching cardigan by sunku Paris in Gray the red and green motifs Dawning to the whole traditional Scottish houndstooth it's not great and I mean like the Christmas colors just don't work and then adding in That Hideous silver bag just only furthers the insult now as for Mindy she goes for a crisscross halter dress in Black that you know she uses to will not use this but I guess wears to yell at her boyfriend Nicola from belman I think yelling at your boyfriend in the dress is cute but if I was getting yelled at by anybody wearing those Claude Hopper platform boots I'm gonna be honest I wouldn't be able to focus on anything but them in a meeting with Turner and Ascot who I believe is meant to be a full version of Turnbull and Asser the famous British shirt maker Emily Wears a little Louis Vuitton silk scarf summer jacket and a matching skirt circling back to Louis Vuitton's interest in the show listen I might be being presented here and you know assuming that Louis Vuitton is interested in the show they might have nothing to do with it so in advance I apologize if this is the case but to be fair I think that the look is actually very nice the jacket fits well and the flowing maxi skirt with the Vintage bag scarf Motif honestly adds like a nice little dressed up feeling that's actually for once appropriate for work and to be honest while I usually hate Emily in scarves this I could really get used to I hope that this is what happens going forward as everyone arrives at kemi's familial Villa for the wedding we can see Emily stroll up in well a John Batista Valley or Couture look and to be honest she looks stunning she does that's it's very rare I say that the dress is from the Brand's fall 2019 old Couture collection and depicts a pink floral bouquet Motif that runs continuously throughout the dress in Emily fashion listen it's a cocktail dress with a high low style train that forms out of a ruffle that stems from a short sleeve the ruffle high neck and the ruffle Hem of the actual cocktail dress also gives a persistent perk and feels genuinely appropriate for a wedding although the train is like maybe in my opinion a bit excessive now I mean the fact that it's oat Couture is also you know a bit excessive but it's nice to see some Jamba on screen I will not complain as for Alfie the peach colored suit is Dashing on him and it complements Emily while you know not over taking the look whatsoever Mindy shows up in a bold red dress with cutouts at the sternum and stomach with a lot of Skin showing and listen I am not a prude at all the dress is just kind of ugly The Styling of it also doesn't help as the sheer red gloves and the heaping of gold body jewelry only makes the already oversized jealous look feel even gaudier now listen it's a wedding proper and appropriate attire that does not take attention away from the bride is kind of the point of well wedding guest style I'm not saying that you have to dress so poorly that nobody wants to look at you but Emily does a good job of standing out while not taking all of the attention in the room as for Mindy's look you're gonna be staring at that thing for a long time now Cami greets her guests in a wide gathered off the shoulder white cocktail dress from the French brand giacomus which also doubles as her actual wedding dress now I think that jackhammuse is a great option the fabrication and the design is wonderful and would make for a beautiful long dress with a little bit of drama and I'm not knocking cocktail length wedding dresses by any means you know do what you want I just think that the show should have made a little bit more spectacle for drama it's a finale I mean a dramatic walkout with a gorgeous wedding dress would have added I don't know a little bit more spice you know what with that this season of Emily in Paris is over okay good all right just have to wait till you know later this year all in all I think that the change of costume designer tooth is 2C for Emily in Paris is really really good I mean it's not amazing because well it's Emily in Paris but the show feels at least a little bit more Chic a little bit more bearable and a little bit more thought out when it comes to costume design in general and for that shout out Marilyn fatusi but still it's low-key a fashion [ __ ] show in general that's my thoughts my appraisal on it but I'd love to know what you guys think of you know the rest of this season please let me know in the comments down below I will see you guys in the next video and TTYL
