it says this so it was when they came that he looked at Elia and said surely the Lord's anointed is before I kind of just jumped into this reading without giving you any context let me give you some context there was a king the first king of Israel by the name of Saul Saul started out worshiping God but after a while Saul thought that he was self-sufficient and didn't need God anymore so God removed his favor from Saul and told the priest Samuel that I am no longer acknowledging Saul as king I need you to find me a new king go to the city of Bethlehem and in Bethlehem there's a family with a meth man by the name of Jesse and one of his sons is going to be the next king so here is Samuel in Jesse's house trying to figure out which one of Jesse's eight sons is the one that God was to make the next king I don't know if we have any employers in the room but if you've ever interviewed somebody you go through all their resume it's maybe you've never interviewed something maybe on the other hand let me give you on the interview side it's hard trying to figure out if people are crazy play all I have to go by is a piece of paper what you're telling me in this interview and I'm trying to figure out are you nuts are you gonna show up on time or even get the work done like I mean so this is pretty much what samuel was doing he has eight sons that they're parading in front of him and he's trying to figure out which one's gonna be a king which one's not gonna lose his mind which one's gonna honor God like this here let's pick up verse 7 but the Lord said to Samuel do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature because I have refused him for the Lord does not see them as man sees for man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at he be grateful that God doesn't look at us the way that other people look at us God's not concerned about how tall how short strong or no european-cut you are God is more concerned that skinny on european-cut get it right he said he's concerned about the heart vs. 8 suggested called up in adapt but you know that guy's name and made him pass before Samuel and he said neither as the Lord chose inthis 1 then Jesse made Shama passed by and he said neither his Lord chose in this one bus jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel and Samuel said to Jesse the Lord has not chosen these Samuel said to Jesse are all the young men are these all the suits you like none of these are the ones that God are looking for I'm excited about why David was a great one but one day I want to preach a message about why these seven were the wrong ones like what happened seven sons it just was the right one then Jesse said there remains yet the youngest and there he is keeping the Sheep and Sam you said - Jesse sent him bring him for we will not sit down till he comes here so he sent and brought him in now he was ruddy with bright eyes and good looking just like your pastor and the Lord said arise anoint him for this is the one the Samuel took the Horn of oil anointed into the midst of his brothers the spear the Lord came upon David from that day say Melrose and win for the God we declared that you are the amethyst you are the creator of heaven and earth you are the one that holds our our world our lives are eternity in your hand got lightning responds to you how the earth responds to you God the Seas respond to you and yet you're in this room got to speak to us to transform our lives so God we're praying for a god encounter but forever transforms who we are in Jesus name before you sit down high-five to people until them best tell them embrace the pain tell to People to People to People to People [Music] today I'm starting a brand new series called crushed to life not crushed to death but crushed to life I make a lot of fun of my trip to Israel last year if you're new I went to Israel for ten years last year and I've been saying for the last few months I'm not 10 years 10 days lord help me and I've been saying 10 days in Israel were the best five days of my life it was amazing for the first five days and I kind of make fun of it but I'll be honest with you it was one of the most life transforming encounters that I have ever had to be able to walk literally by the Sea of Galilee we actually got on a boat and sailed across the Sea of Galilee that same sea a Peter began to walk on and then sink that same see that that Jesus walked on water when he spoke to the ways and they were skilled it's just it's about 13 miles across and surrounded by mountains and they would say but the wind would come down over those mountains and dip into that sea and create waves that were four or five six feet in height I mean it was magnificent to be able to worship God on that water in the exact same place where he said peace be still well one of the most significant moments of my trip is we actually went to the Garden of Gethsemane where the Bible teaches us that Jesus prayed the night before his crucifixion it was the garden where Judas came and betrayed him with a kiss it was that place where where jesus prayed that famous prayer God if it's possible let this cup pass from me but nevertheless not my will but your will be done the Bible says that but in that moment that the weight of the world that my sin that you're so guilty before you know it's like 3:00 in the morning everybody's sleep you're going to basement or the kitchen and you grabbed a little piece of chocolate cake that wasn't meant for you that you you're not supposed to be eating cuz it's springtime and Memorial Day is almost here the pools are almost open no more chocolate cake and and you eat it anyway and you went up the stairs and about half way up the stairs you just I should've done as your wife and chocolate cake off your face the Bible says that the guilt of over 8 billion people is the pressure that Jesus felt in that Garden of Gethsemane it says that weight and that guilt was so overwhelming that he began to sweat drips of blood scientists talk about how there's actually levels of stress where water begins to separate from your blood and it begins to come from your pores that's the pressure that Jesus was under in that garden and we're walking through the garden it's it's it's it's is real so a great place you're in this garden and there's all these olive trees and then there's this huge like ornate church just smack dab in the middle of the garden and they're like charging you to go into this church it's like five dollars to go into the Church of Cosette many to come out and I'm just sitting there like y'all just ruined the moment somehow I don't feel like there was a church he's gonna be running this church and pray three times I don't think how that went down but the interesting thing about this Garden of Gethsemane is it was actually in olive grove there were all of trees that were all over this garden and they were actually harvesting olives in that garden something that blew my mind is olive trees can grow to over 2,000 years so many theologians believe that not only was that the exact garden where jesus prayed before his crucifixion but they believed that some of those olive trees that are still in that garden now our possibly trees that Jesus leaned up under it might be some of the trees where Peter James and John's were sleeping when Jesus said can you not stay awake and frame for one hour as we were in this garden with these olive trees and they were the tour guide was just walking a through the process of how oil is made from that olive tree first of all one of the things I discovered is that olive trees only thrive in poor adverse circumstances they said actually if you plant an olive tree in rich fertile soil it it devalues it actually degrades the quality of oil that those olives produced there's there's something about an olive tree that the more difficult the circumstances the more it thrives I'm preaching already I'm just wondering is there anybody in here you don't need everything to be perfect for you to thrive you don't need it all worked out you don't need all your t's crossed and your eyes dotted I could I'm not not Beyonce fair not not the Destiny's Child's fan I did not name destiny Church after Destiny's Child but I'm just wondering are there any survivors that I I don't I don't need it perfect I don't need it perfect I I know how to thrive when circum any Church where you get dressed up all nice and pretty and you put your best foot forward don't let that look at somebody tell them don't let the outfit fool you listen boo boo don't get it twisted these earrings do come off I know how to survive I got a master's but I can scrap don't play with me it says that they would plant these olive trees in these poor conditions where there was a lot of heat I don't know if you know this as Israel is primarily desert the fact the fact that anything grows in Israel is a miracle in itself when Jesus said where God when told Israel I'm taking it to a land flowing with milk and honey it wasn't flowing with milk and honey because of the fertile ground it was flowing with milk and honey because God's hand of favor was on that lion and he wanted them to know I'm gonna take you to a place that doesn't make sense that the environment should not produce what it's producing but because of my favorite there that's what's producing it not the soil but will preach that series in like July or something like that so they would have these olive trees and they would take sticks and they would beat the branches of olive trees that's very anti Treehugger why are you beating these trees and they said we would beat the trees because they they only want the olives that are right and that are ready to be harvested to fall from the tree and anything that can hold on to the tree it's just not quite ready yet whether all those who fall to the ground they would collect all of the olives and they would put them in an Olive Press and it was so interesting that the tour guide said that they'd be careful to press the olives but not to crush them sounds like Bible repressed but not crushed were persecuted not abandoned were struck down but we're sounds like Bible when they said that Jesus was beaten but but but but not one of his bones were broken he was pressed but never crushed I don't know if you know this it was a custom of the Romans at that time when they hung somebody up on the cross they would only leave them up there for so long and before they took them down they would break their legs just in case they were still alive that they couldn't run off but when they came to Jesus there was no need to crush his legs because he had already willingly gave up his spirit and he he was pressed but not crushed and and that first oil that would come out from the pressing before the question was the most pure oil that could ever be produced and that oil was only used for two things for worship in the temple and for anointing kings and priests so when that first there's so many messages in this when that first oil that first fruit when the tithe came not the left overs went to the temple the first went to the temple the most pure when when the first oil went to the temple to anoint King David and Samuel and the priests and the Kings then they would press it again a little bit harder in that that second oil that would be the oil that was used for eating it was at oil that they would use to bake bread and and it was really am not sure if you had a lot of Mediterranean food but a lot of it is oil base because that's where olives are best produced and it would be used to feed entire villages and then the last time they would crush those oil of those olives that's where you would get the skin and the entire olive would just kind of be involved in that oil and that last that third pressing would be used to burn it was used for lanterns it was used for fire it was used to create light remember I know you know this but I just tell you this anyway there was no electricity in Israel in the Bible there was no generators there was no energizer bunnies anywhere if you didn't have oil you didn't have like three times those olives were pressed to produce oil the first oil went as worship and anointing oil for kings and priests the second oil was used for food and the third oil was used for light I don't think it's a coincidence that when Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane the Bible says that he prayed three times he said father the press seen that I'm going through the pressure that I'm experiencing right now God is too much to bear but I'm not going to remove myself from this painful situation because it's not about me nevertheless not my will but your will be done I believe the first time Jesus prayed he was being pressed turned into anointing oil saying God I'm not doing this just for the world I'm doing this because my there asked me I've discovered that if you do things just for other people that gets old really quickly when they don't say thank you the way can irritate it when people don't say thank you have issues I'm sorry I'll walk into the mall and there'll be a lady coming in or out and I'll hold the door and she'll walk right through it a mic you could say thank you and so I'm thinking I've stopped saying it out loud cuz I said it one time and she says something back and I walked on and said thank you delivered but if you live life for the approval of people your motivation will be up and down but if you realize I'm not going through this for my children I'm not going through this for my spouse they will be blessed by this but they are not my main source of motivation I am doing this that I will be done on earth as it already is God my life is an offering unto you the first time Jesus prayed he went he said father this is for you then he went back and found the disciples sleeping and he went back in he prayed again and I believe his prayer was the same but he began to say God I am the bread of life God I'm not just crushed unto you but I'm crushed so that those around me can be nourished then he went back a third time and he said not only am I the Anointed One of God not only am I the bread of life but I am the light of the world God I'm believing that the crushing that I am going through is gonna bring light to dark places is gonna bring hope to the hopeless that God you are gonna do something great through my life here's the thought that just struck my mind for this series an olive that has not been crushed outside of a martini has no value an olive that has been through no pressure no adverse circumstances no difficult situations olive that has been left alone the value is trapped inside of that olive it's not until the little bit of pressure is applied to that olive that its value is really shown without pressure olive has little value but but when you add pressure to that all of all of sudden worship is possible in the temple all the sudden Kings are announced and briefs are revealed things break forth when pressure is applied when pressure is applied so that all of all of a sudden families are fed bread is made entire cities are nourished - the pressure the olive has no value but when you add the pressure all of a sudden that olive is priceless with no pressure olive has no value but when you add the proper amount of pressure all of a sudden light enters darkness all of a sudden ships are able to avoid a rocky shores all of a sudden a city is able to be illuminated could it be that the pressure that we spend our lives trying to avoid could actually be the key factor for revealing the true value that God has placed inside of us I've been up with a baby for the last three weeks I've had no time to sleep but nothing but prayer and Bible study and Iraq and that little boy I'm ready to rumble I don't know about you I hate pain I I hate I do not like pain you ask my wife she will tell you I am the biggest baby on the planet if I get sick called the mortuary he is planning his funeral I am ready to die people have asked me do you have the flu I don't think so this is probably just a little bit of congestion but I I've written my will I've updated my life insurance policy this is the big one Elizabeth I am it's over for me I don't I don't like pain I know I should go to the gym I'm 31 and you know they say you hit 30 and everything starts it hasn't happened for me yet maybe happen at 40 I'm praying off that dad bottle not working it off but I'm praying at all I just go to the gym it's important good health all that kind of stuff I'm gonna get there eventually I'll meet you there I'm just not really very yet you know how they say no pain no gain I feel it should be no pain no pain why does pain have to be involved I like to avoid pain at all costs it's interesting some people physical pain is what you can't handle for others of you emotional pain is what you can't handle I love summertime sometimes fun because because it gets hot and people wear less clothes and then tattoos just start appearing from everywhere it's like where did that come from you've been wearing turtlenecks all summer people always ask me like like what's what's the Bible say about tattoos well what do you believe biblically about tattoos I'll tell you this I've never been able to find tattoos in the Bible because I can't get to the Bible I just get consumed in the pain of somebody sticking a needle in my arm and I'm just like I can't I can't do that now emotional pain I'm a gene I can I've been through some battles I some of you something chops your arm off and you're fine I don't need that anyway but let your cat die let mr. snuffles kick the bucket you are calling out of work you're going on a 40-day sabbatical you are cutting your hair off you are going in the morning I mean you you just you can deal with physical pain it's emotional pain that just takes you out I shouldn't tell the story but I'll tell it anyway early on in the church I used to pray for people along with the prayer team I would love to do it now but there's just so many people kind after the church I just run in the lobby and I'd love to kind of meet people and all that but I used to prefer people and this this lady came up on Sunday and tears are streaming down her face and I just said uh uh what can I pray for my family has gone through a horrible loss and I said oh no what was lost she said our cat died this week I'm a pastor I'm supposed to have compassion for people who love animals that will not make it to heaven and that God does not care about but I was just sitting there and I'm just like um your aunt Katniss died she said no no not my aunt mr. snuffles he died and be honest with the ISIS with a straight face pray for this woman and her cat your cat people in here you're probably angry at me but God still loves you some of you physical pain is no big deal it's emotional pain that you can't handle others of us physical pain cry at the sight of a needle just pass out I probably could get tattoos maybe painless because I'd pass out before they even started some of you it's not emotional pain it's it's physical pain and what we end up doing in life is avoiding pain with everything that we have I've actually we've all done this before we've actually created more pain in our future just to avoid current pain this is really gonna hurt tomorrow morning I'm really gonna regret this tomorrow but I'm not thinking about tomorrow all I'm thinking about is the pain that I am trying to avoid in this moment and figuring out is there any way that I can get away from this could it be that the key to the next level that God has for you is embracing the pain that you have been running away from is allowing the crushing process to take place in your life God does it create suffering but he does use it for his glory because what happens is is when we're crushed oil is produced in the Bible oil represents a word that we use in church called anointing when you say the word anointing you have to say it in a certain type of voice can you say it with me say anointing no no it's annoying teen when you think about anointing you think about the month of God Bund God month of God or you think about some amazing worship leader or singer you oh there was some oil on this Lee Everett all songs modeled on that there was some oil on that there was some oil on that you you think about ministers of God doing the work of God so what happens is unless you have a singing talent or where God's called you to preach you think that anointing has nothing to do with you the only problem is that God never relegated his anointing to people who stand on a platform he Arella gated his anointing to kings and priests and last time I checked on both because the Bible says that I am a royal somebody say King priesthood which means that if you call God the Savior and the Lord of your life that you have an anointing that needs to be developed my fear is that there are believers that are living life loving God with underdeveloped anointing what what is the anointing wasn't energy news Bible says this in 1st Samuel chapter 16 verse 13 it says then Samuel took the Horn of oil and anointed him David in the midst of his brothers the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward when I read scripture I just think about the author and I know the author is just as ignorant as Stephen is because all the author needed to say was they brought David and they anointed David but he didn't say that he said no they brought David in the midst of his brothers in the midst of the people that had left him out in the field and didn't even tell him that the priest had showed up to anoint the next king I've discovered that when God promotes you he doesn't just do it in secret but he does it in front of the people that fought that you never had what it took in the first place the Bible says that they anointed David they poured this sacred oil on his head and it says the favor of God came upon him and he was never the same again no wonder later on in David's life when he became a warrior they would begin to sing a song about David and that song was Saul has killed his thousands but David killed his tens of thousands we've always read that song as David was a greater warrior than Saul I don't think so the Bible says that Saul was told that he was strong that he was then diesel diesel even act anymore I don't know whatever the boy was jacked Saul was a bad man David the Bible says he was ready he was pretty doesn't sound like a war no offense he wrote poetry how scary does a short pretty man who writes poetry sound to you David wasn't killing ten thousand compared to Saul's thousands because he was a great warrior David was killing ten thousand compared to Saul's thousands because David was anointed had the favor of God on his life the anointing brings results that are not equal to the effort that you put in what does it mean to be anointed it means when human efforts bring supernatural results when you say somebody is anointed what you're saying is that's not just them yes they sang that song yes they teach that class yes they preach that message but I know them and no offense to them but they're not all that there was something extra on that song something extra when they taught that class something extra on them it was the anointing the favor of God the Christians in the New Testament they would say God stretch out your hand to confirm your favor on our lives I'm just wondering what type of results are you getting from your efforts in life are you getting results that are equal to your efforts or you getting results that make you stutter because you put in that proposal that you did at 12 o'clock at night because you forgot about and you just said hey it's better to get it in than not get it in and you ended up getting that contract over firms that were 510 times the size of your company are you getting results not from your time in church but from life because God does not anoint you for a 75-minute experience in his house he anoints you for life are you getting results that are equal to your effort or are you getting results that you look at he just but God I love when people ask me how is God doing what he's doing at this church Steven tell me what's your strategy what's your plan every time I hear that answer start good god it's hilarious for me people will come up to me after services ad man that message was amazing you know what my response is it was wasn't it and it's not like an arrogant oh I guilt that what it really is is I wish you could see my notes and see how my notes is not what was preached but how God somehow took human efforts and brought supernatural results somebody shout I'm anointed the Bible says this in Isaiah chapter 10 verse 27 it shall come to pass in that day watch this that his burden will be taken away from your shoulders and his yoke from your neck and the yoke will be destroyed watch this because of the anointing the anointing destroys the burdens of the enemy off of our lives the Bible says it's the anointing that breaks the yoke of bondage it's the anointing that has people coming in the church and you don't even know this song but tears are streaming down your face you're like what is this I love that happens especially when you're not like an emotional person and I am not emotional I am a bug I don't cry because thugs don't cry and that's a City Church difinitely like I come up in two minutes of preaches yourself together man it's the anointing it's the presence of God breaking that hopelessness off of your heart it's the presence of God breaking that inferiority complex off of your life there that's why you can't miss church because it's not a college class where you can read the book at home and figure out what happened on the test no there's something that happens when the people of God gets together and lifts the shot on the god his presence begins to move in this place his anointing Falls chains are broken bodies aren't healed minds are transform there's something supernatural that takes place in the anointing of God somebody shout I'm anointed you don't have to be a preacher to be anointed you don't have to be a singer to be anointed you don't have to be a teacher to be anointed I am praying that there would be some anointing mothers that after you put your babies to bed you don't walk out of that room but you begin to pray and prophesy over them and declare the goodness of the Lord in their lives I'm praying for some anointed financial advisors that can sit down with people and say debt is not your lot but God desires to move supernaturally in your life I'm praying for some anointed teachers that can look at young men and young women that have been told they have a VD and ADHD and a B Z and X Y Z and you don't learn like everybody else but yet God has anointed you to connect with that young man to connect with that young woman and let them know God has not abandoned you here we need some anointed senators and we need some anointed doctors that said this is what my training says the problem is and this is what my colleagues say the problem is but if we can just do one more MRI and one more cat scan it doesn't make any scientific proof or evidence or sense but something in my spirit says that we don't quite have it right and I'd like to look once more time before we cut you open and find out what cuts you open for the wrong reason do you mind if I can rely on my anointing you don't gotta be super spiritual with it you don't have to be spooky about it you don't have to walk into your boss's office it says the Spirit of the Lord has come upon me and declared that we should not hire that new accountant the anointing of God the discernment in my soul no you can just walk in that often say hey I don't know what my opinion is valued or not I may have to discredit your opinions off about that person I know that resume was awesome they graduated from war they're just I mean they just they just are this stuff but something's just off we need some anointed people but anointing doesn't come without pressure anointing doesn't come without adversity anointing doesn't come without allowing God to work his perfect work in our lives this isn't a point but write this down pain properly processed produces power in our lives pain here's the key properly processed you know pain can jack you up pain can make you bitter pain can make you insecure pain can make you not trust people pain can make you depressed pain it's not the pain that's the key it's the proper processing of that pain understanding that what the enemy intended for evil God is gonna use for my good it doesn't matter how adverse the circumstance was I understand that all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to a scripture so no I would not like to go through that situation again no I would not have wished that on my worst enemy no I don't even want to think about it but I'm grateful for it because that season in my life produced a power first thing write this down this is a real point don't run from pain don't run from it don't run from it listen and and I am NOT preaching here there's no kids in the church stupidity I'm not preaching stay in situations that you have the opportunity to get out of I'm not saying to put yourself at risk to be in harm's way I'm not saying to stay at a job that's not paying you anything when you have the opportunity to go to a job that's gonna pay you more don't be a martyr Jesus died and then he said it is finished you don't have to die - but what I'm saying is don't live a life of I'm gonna avoid any discomfort that I face because it's all of the enemy it may not be blue it might be that God actually allowed that uncomfortable situation to produce an anointing in you that you're going to use for the rest of your life you know what I like about David you have to understand this David's father Jesse had a whole bunch of sheep it was uncommon for the owner of sheep to have his own children take care of those sheep it was a job of slaves and servants it was the lowest class of Israel that would be Shepherd Shepherd II was a tough job you were away from your family for months at a time living under the stars smelling and stinking with these animals that scientists say are possibly not the most intelligent animals on the planet they constantly ran off and tried to get themselves eaten by wolves and you have to fight off lions and bears and all these different things that keep these dumb sheep from dying and it wasn't even your job some servants should have been doing this you should have been in your dad's house with your brothers but yet David stayed in that place of pain yeah if I was David and Solomon I mean Samuel had showed up to my dad's house to anoint the next king I would have been up at the window fine you didn't invite me eyes okay but I'm gonna be outside peeping in the window say what's going on in there no they had to go get David from the field because he stayed in the place of discomfort and because he stayed in the place of discomfort and allowed the discomfort to develop in in what God wanted in him he was sent for relief will come find you you don't have to find it [Music] breakthrough will come find you you don't have to go find it the answer to your prayer sometimes we pray prayers and then we get up from our knees does anybody even nail anymore it's like you pray while you're driving but you you pray prayers and then as soon as you park your car you get out and you go try to create it you try to create the exact thing that you just prayed for and God says wait who's God isn't me or is it you you pray and sit after you've done all you can you just stand over there and when the time is right the relief is gonna come and find you the second thing is this write this down look past the pain to the promise the Bible says in Hebrews chapter 12 verse to fix your I don't even need the teleprompter fix your eyes on Jesus the author and the perfecter of your faith who for the joy set before him endured the cross scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand of God the Bible says that Jesus didn't look at the cross he looked past the cross and he saw you and he saw me and he saw himself seated at the right hand of his father and he began to walk towards the pain not because he was fixated on the pain but because he was fixated on the promise that was gonna come to pass on the other side when they take my kids to the doctor and they give him shots the plan with the shots is distraction he's always hip to it she's like nah every time that chick comes in I know you I don't like you Zoe we can't distract her anymore because she knows what happens you show me the phone I get shot in the leg and then it's bad day for the rest of the day some of us we've become so fixated on the pain we were experiencing that we forgotten about the promise not understanding that my current pain does not negate God's current promise yes everything around me doesn't look like it's gonna come the past but I happy so they anointed David King y'all with me and my distracted we're good your pants are distract and sorry we're almost up they anointed David king of Israel king of Israel somebody's a king Israel and you know they did next they sent him right back out in the field to take care of the sheep that he was responsible for before he became anointed there's like 20 messages in this message my environment does not dictate my value there are kings that are taking care of sheep and if you can only assess me based on the environment that I'm in the car that I tried the house that I live in the part of the neighborhood that I am how many degrees I have behind my name if you can only assess me based on what you can see you will miss kings and priests all around you because somehow God likes to hide anointed people in places that just don't look very anointing worthy so David is sitting as king it's fun would you know where it's going before anybody else does David is sitting there anointed king watching after sheep and the lion comes up memory kill the lion in the bear before he killed Goliath the lion comes up somebody said lion I always read it as David was so brave he went and killed the lion this is uncle mess of the cameraman but this going work this out yes I see it happen yes how's he going down David oh man there's a lion I don't want to die I don't really care about my dad sheep he doesn't care about me so it's keeping him wait I'm king I've been anointed king I better not again and because I've been another King I can't die you missed that because I've been anointed king I can't die because there's a promise that was connected to my name and death wasn't a part of that promise so let me go take on this lion and just see what happens but I know I can't die because there's a promise so when I have a promise pain doesn't slow me down because I know there's a promise waiting for it I can't die there's a promise waiting for me this can't be the end Oh a bear comes let's see what happens I may kill the bear I may not kill the bear but I won't die because there's a promise on the other side so start the business it may work or it may not but you won't die [Music] ask her out she may say yes she may say no but you old uh could you imagine how we would live life if we had a promise in front of us knowing that come hell or high water I can't die because I have a promise so I'm gonna just go for it I'm gonna just live this anointed life like I can't lose because the promise said I can't lose so let me go for it write this down I'm gonna pray I'm not gonna preach this one we're out of time that's why it's a series and I can't do it in one day pour your prayer you're paying out in this presence pour pour pour no here in now I don't even know the rest of this song y'all don't know we'll sing it next week pour your paint on his presence some three verse to David whose dad doesn't think much of them whose brothers one nothing to do maybe David wasn't a journalist or a psalmist or poet because he was soft maybe David was a poet because he learned how to pour out his pain in the right place yes in May many are saying of me God will not deliver me God but you're a shield around me god you're my glory the one who lives some I had got a call to you David didn't write that Psalm in a palace he wrote that some in the wilderness running for his life and there is something about pouring out your pain and God's presence forgive the alliteration that gives you proper perspective that it's not even about the pain it's about God is trying to develop a favor and anointing in my life that when I come through on the other side of this that I have a life that brings honor to God that that releases kings and priests all around me just by bumping into me I am anointed and the anointing on my life is the reason that God has called me through this pain so that why encounter people they would have realized hey if you know me it means that God's called you to be a king God's called you to be a priest as he would have brought you in contact with anointing oil if there wasn't something inside of you that he wanted to release this pain is not about me this pain is about God producing something in me that's gonna feed my children and my children's children and bring hope and bread to my community this pain isn't about me this pain is about turning me it's gonna Lantern into a light of hope for people to see I know Stephen I know where you into school I kind of know his grades I know there's not much great about him so there must be something on him and if it's on him it can get on me if we would realize that that God is using the adverse situation to produce something supernatural in her life we learn to pour it out in his you'd be a dangerous person demons when tremble when you wake up in the morning this Britain father God we're so grateful God for your presence in our rooms god help us to properly process the pain that were experiencing to turn it into power so that we can get God's size results from our natural efforts
