all right guys this is gonna be the newer process this is how as a professional I would install a echo pel kit I no longer use the little comb I try to use the mini foam roller these are five dollars at Home Depot or lose but the foam prevents any hairs or dust getting stuck inside of the finish our wall kit should be coming out soon and that's gonna involve the foam roller as well but we get this question a lot just of you know how to install the material and frankly it's much more neat and it's much easier as a DIY kit to do it this way so this is how I recommend doing it and this is how long it should take I'm gonna do this with one hand and I'm gonna record the whole process with the other hand so let's see how that goes the only thing I can't do one-handed is actually pour the material so I'm gonna take the whole kit which I already mix you can watch one of the previous videos on how to mix the material and prep the tub this is all the same process as before but I'm gonna pour the whole kit in about 40 seconds that's how long it's gonna take me to pour all of it then it's gonna start running down the walls anything on the bottom I'm gonna scoop up with the yellow travel spreader put it back in the can and then after that I'm gonna pour the front wall and then I'm gonna use the foam roller to level everything out I'm gonna give it another 10 or 15 minutes then I'm gonna push all the excess material to the back I'm gonna scoop out the excess into the can and then I'm gonna take the foam roller I'm gonna level out the bottom once more and then after that I am going to hit it with the heat gun to pop any little bubbles or anything like that finally I'll remove the tape from the the and then I'm gonna give it another couple of hours come back to the customers house I'll remove the tape from the drain and the tape from this front edge here and then after that we will be complete alright so like I said that's probably about 30 seconds but if you pour that heavy it will come down that fast that's already all the way down the whole piece if you do it really slowly then it will trickle down and a bead and sometimes it weaves a little drip marks when it's all said and done so from there now I'm going to take the yellow scoop and just scoop up the excess material you can fill in little voids while you're at it but mainly what I'm trying to do is scoop up this extra material from the bottom and put it back inside of the can it's definitely a little bit challenging doing this one-handed so I'm just gonna scoop up all the extra and when I pour the outside I'll show you how fast I pour it because I'll be able to do that with one hand here's what the inside piece looks like dripping down so almost all that got coated big puddle right there scooped a lot of that extra right now I'm gonna dip the foam roll into the sectional material here and I'm gonna start dragging it off the wall just to get the loss of this area covered it doesn't matter if it's wavy and anything like that as long as you're doing this fast and early in the process you'll have plenty of time to fix any imperfections well I shouldn't say you have time the acapella itself will fix any imperfections on its own so these last couple little spots just need a quick touch your just breaking surface tension moving the material with the ruler you're not actually putting a coat on there or anything like that so same thing out here so we're just going to move the material around a little bit and then let the roid I mean then what the material work its easiest to get it from the bottom and drag it up but when it comes to the outside just like in our other videos you can see it looks terrible the entire way through the video get a little over to the ground for you so it looks terrible until it's finished so same thing here I'm just going to take it pull it right back up right back up and we're just breaking the surface tension with this we're not painting it it's a straightforward same thing on this corner just pressing the extra material down everything's gonna keep flowing out naturally as you can see that looks very bad and in about probably three or four minutes it will be nice and level right now I'm just gonna level it all out once this way so make sure we don't have any missed spots little voids just gonna do half at a time so you can kind of see just leveling it out earlier and faster you can finish this process the better so this has in total the entire video is 99% of what I've done the only things that I didn't do on the video are things that you can see in our other videos and/or things from you know the things that I needed two hands for that I couldn't just do them so this is how bad it looks and this is what you should expect it to look like so we're probably about 10-15 minutes into the process however we didn't use the roller or anything on any of these three walls and these three walls are finished and they're perfect you want to make sure that you don't touch any of that again that's finished so this wall that we just did is now perfect as well oh boy that's a good angle next thing we're gonna do is pretty much level out the bottom remove all the excess material for the back and scoop out the excess I'm gonna let it drip down a little bit longer I'm gonna give it about five minutes of time dripping down and then from there I'm gonna scoop it up I'll show you when I scoop it up then I'll level at the bottom and we'll go from there but I'm gonna cut the 5-minute wait because I've been doing non-stop videos lately just so you guys can see that this is less than an hour start to finish so just don't want people to think that I'm leaving anything out I want you to know the entire process so I'm gonna skip the 5-minute wait and then I'll come right back pull all the extra big puddles worth of material here oh this is gonna be extra and that's gonna if you're doing it yourself at home it's not a big deal to stay in there and wipe the drain but if you're a handyman or or a finisher then you need to go home you can't keep wiping what drips down onto the drain off all night so what we gotta do is pull the extra to the back and we're gonna scoop that pushing pretty hard right now that's what I'm gonna do is better than using the comb so this is kind of the new method because you can push it and it doesn't leave streaks so push it on it and pull all the extra to the back this is gonna coat the whole bottom and it's gonna leave the drain getting less material tripping on it at the end of the process all right so now I've got this big puddle back here I don't know if you can see it clearly or not but with a roller down and now I'm going to take the spreader out scoop it and I'm not gonna be able to with the camera but I'm gonna scoop all of that off I'll show you what it looks like then I'll level it once so I scoop that whole puddle all the way back down to the the tub itself and I did the same thing around the drain so now I'm gonna take the foam roller again and I'm just gonna work the old area one more time it's just gonna level out all the extras I'm gonna go crazy around the drain because that's gonna get flooded anyways I'm just gonna move all this material around one more time and as long as there's a little bit on there and it's on the bottom all the extra is gonna fill in that area it's got so much level ones in it that's how it works so now I'm just gonna level it out one more time pushing everything back up to the back a little bit this time it's a little bit more light I'm just wetting the roller roll down and go smooth and I'm just going to go along these edges and just pull the exit extra to the center this is gonna prevent pooling on the walls same thing over here before I'm going to pull it back a little bit from the drain if you don't see any bubbles you don't need to worry about using the a blow dry or eat gun or anything but if you see little bubbles in the finish it's best to pop them alright and that is all she wrote the outside as you can see the front level itself up just fine all perfect insides perfect everything is nice I'm going to pull all the tape off now if I need two hands for so I don't drop any drips into the tub and I'm gonna leave the piece on the outside I'm gonna give that a couple of hours to cure it and then I'm going to come back to the customers home I'm going to remove the drain the drain cover our tape and the four piece and then tomorrow I'm gonna come back to the customers home and and put a bit of caulking on the edge but pretty straightforward pretty fast and amazing quality so all you really need to do is get it on there quickly and it will just level itself right
