EGG DROP - Mark Rober vs William Osman

welcome to egg drop with the egg drop is a science experiment for young children and youtubers where each competitor is responsible for building a contraption capable of protecting a raw chicken egg from dangers fall are you ready do you have big plans No alright let's go to the dollar store then welcome to Walgreens oh that's not the dollar store do you want to explain yourself there's nothing to explain no this can't be like I wanted to go here okay definitely not mark wanting to go to Walgreens second they want they have no idea the rules are three dollars unless you have a really good idea and convincing argument then you can have more and I get three dollars - this is gonna be harder at Walgreens instead of the dollar store yeah yeah we're throwing it on the ground shoes are $14 I think this might be a mistake I mean like a can of Pringles how do you spend $3 the key can't even bite to eat oh boy this is actually gonna be a challenge why oh I don't understand Walgreens CVS what's the difference oh he changes mine last minute and there's like no we need to go to CVS not Walgreen okay we are back from the doll this wall CVS show me what you got mark chopstick that's all I bought and the reason I got chapstick is when I build egg drops I like my lips to be extremely hydrated we go receipt this is gonna be my trick I'm macgyvering it just out of a CV I made its gonna CBS just to get the long receipt trying to get like the longest receipt possible how do I get it like a long one like that it could print out like two coupons or I could print you out a long one it's super quick I say okay so I need to buy things where they would think I would want a lot of coupons okay okay all right how long is this anyways why you could like measure people's Heights with CVS oh it's true I'm like one and a half yes yeah one point for CVS receipts you're like one point five five hey man John is one CVS receipt I've been Michaels like a half a lot of coupons oh and are they more even laxatives aspirin what did you give William I got Pringles and a significantly smaller how much money did you spend a dollar twenty I'm at 209 including tax we're way under the three dollar budget yeah we're pushing limits it means the bags are definitely gonna break what's your confidence level but are using just the receipt yeah and I may use the bag so I'm very resourceful yeah you want to throw ten minutes on the clock and the timer's going down oh the egg oh do we have scissors you actually yeah yeah okay give us some string this is my review of Engels original flavor oh no very bland doesn't the Pringles guy kind of look like an egg oh I'm using some principles from the rover landing we have these big pressure in tanks and how do you hold onto a big spherical tank the answer is you want to like dump the load into the side of the egg cause it can like support weight it's like a shear load as opposed to like supporting the weight here then it becomes a puncture load how do they get the freakin chips in the thing struggling over here how much time do we have left I'm making a crush cone I have no cool terminology I actually have a question when people say like something was made by NASA what does that actually mean because it's not like NASA isn't just like some giant thing right like they they work with like big smaller comes yeah yes contractors and stuff yeah so it's like when some when someone says like made by NASA it was mostly just like funded by NASA now like we have a lot of people in-house like for the Curiosity rover and stuff there was like three thousand total people worked on it maybe like a thousand were in-house 1,500 okay but like for example the arm that dug in the dirt that whole thing was outsourced to another company we managed it you're kind of like doing the high level stuff and then some of the lower level manufacturing I think my edges are you serious hey you have mine what are you gonna do I haven't really talked about my plan my plan is to use the Pringles as a kind of like a crumple zone and we're gonna put a little window to see what do you think yeah how do I keep it from falling vertically from not falling see that's where you need streamers I got my CVS receipt yeah Jeremy Johnson waving kind of in a way that makes me think he knows it's not gonna work but he wants to see it not work just kind of like a weird pleasure out of seeing the stuff that we make fail catastrophic we look at that that receipts gonna do all the work they were on the table dog olives there you left them right there on the table because I'm concerned of the side load I also the Williams print good idea what are your parents think of YouTube it's cool at this point I've always had a job right right so it's always been like a side thing yeah until I quit my job last week though I remembered you talking to you like about your grandma thought it was cool when you were on the local news that like nobody watches yeah but doesn't think it's cool when you get yeah thanks crap oh wait wait the timer isn't gonna oh yeah that's how we're gone no we still got Tommy actually shooting the bowl do we just finish this before the timer went off and we got the eggs after we set the timer and I had to go get extra egg and I had to get scissors for mark wow there's the timer you know what I think no matter what happens we're both winners yeah no I say that all the time onto the roof yeah roof is really hot real hot kind of dancing around did you make this off like it's intentional but it totally yeah tell me about your egg drop contraption so this uses a parachute and anytime you have an egg drop parachutes are good because they don't take up a lot of weight or volume and they reduce your kinetic energy of cheap and then we got a little crush code with my CVS receipt and I stole some of Williams potato chips in case it doesn't land perfect side load hot real hot what do you call it uh leave master mm master mm this is a Pringles can with chips ah I cut a hole in the side so you could see the egg and I just stuck it in the Pringles I really didn't do a lot of work and I call it eat master 3000 okay we came up with a new rule this is the Peter Street bull rule if both contestants win the person closest to the X is the winner I taped a receipt that's like a little streamer to try and hopefully keep it more vertical though I doubt that's gonna happen yeah alright ready 3 2 1 ah no that didn't look good that didn't look good Mike here we go I think it might drift which is going to hurt me in 3 2 1 fly eat master do that wow you it didn't make any sound mine kind of exploded you could barely hear it alright let's go check it out mines cracked mines cracked it hit too hard on the corner and then it like plan this out yeah it's barely energy absorption I feel like I better do this I have the egg drop video on the internet yeah go to write yeah you use it in your intro yeah except tell the people what you did the intro is 100 a futile attempt to make Mark look bad we cut his video right as he was falling in the congestion and switched our footage I threw the same contraption against the crowd nobody noticed not even you notice that the guy went to the store and bought straws of the same color just to piece it together anyways my lawyer will be contacting you oh no well I have to concede I don't know I'm just using big words then you win that's your prize you have to eat it whole now I'll do it go check mark out he's an up-and-comer I think you know you're almost passed a
