[Music] take me back to the Jungle [Music] hola welcome to otavalo here in Ecuador we just arrived to our hotel it's a beautiful cabin look around [Music] and here there's a little balcony that overlooks the lake and a volcano Yes you heard that right that's a volcano that view is absolutely amazing ciao there is so much to do here it's chilly here in otavalo and that's why we're enjoying a canelasso which is a traditional spice hot drink from the highlands here in Ecuador whoa look at this two chocolate coins and what's this hot water bags look at that I was not expecting this ah the bed feels so awesome this is such a nice touch and I can't believe we even have a fireplace this is seriously amazing perfect for me who's always cold now this we are still here in otabalo and in a little bit we're going to get on the bus to go explore a little bit more of the city in a little while we're going to head to papadata and we're going to explore the hot springs of papajaka but before we go I wanted to show you this one more time the volcano here in otavalo in Ecuador it's really cold today but look at this hotel surrounded by Nature everywhere it really is a spectacular setting if I could I would move right here immediately buenos dias we're getting ready to head to peguche and our luggage is already here on the bus and we're starting to get on the bus ciao please exercise [Music] they have so many amazing handmade products I really can't resist ance [Music] okay I wasn't the only one here's my friend Kathy getting her hair done too the smell of eucalyptus is simply spectacular close I know I will shine there we literally just arrived to the peguchi waterfall it's beautiful hey now we're heading to the otabalo market let's see what we find this is the otabalo market and look at everything they have [Music] a lot of fruits and vegetables that I am going to show you and we are going to try some of them okay the city keeps me distracted but I know where I should be cough and join me I know you're dying to see it tastes like I don't know how to explain it tastes like a sweet cucumber yep that's the perfect explanation it tastes like a sweet cucumber amazing excellent this is another market and they have a lot of handmade products they have beautiful and unique things look at all of this beautiful colors I seriously am in love [Applause] just take your mask off and join me I know you're dying to see all the secrets I'm hiding now we're on the way to the hot springs of papadata and I think it's going to get a little bit colder oh it is look at this view look at how the clouds touch the mountains hmm qualities [Music] we just arrived to the hotel in the hot springs of papajaka look at this can you believe it and this will be our room for the night those beds look comfortable cider room are the famous hot springs of papajaka they're warm by geothermal energy and I can't wait to try all of the different pools they vary in temperature from hot to cold I'm putting in this one baby okay this is nice actually yeah it sounds good oh this feels amazing [Music] we hear their medicinal Waters [Music] but it feels really nice and look the mountain is right here okay okay let's try another Pool felt really nice actually no no no no thank you this one is actually cooler see see good morning let's make our way to the Amazon we just made a stop on the side of the road so that we could take a look at this amazing waterfalls they are called the three Maria's check them out this is another stop on our way to the Amazon and they have plantains bananas and other things [Music] okay and well I'm showing you this we have here Rocky and passing around yes [Music] [Music] I'm gonna peel this little banana and give it a try um [Music] Dulce ISO we just arrived to Punta juano and we're gonna go ahead and get on one of those canoes so they can take us to the Hotel this is exciting I'm nervous though I can't believe we're doing this we are actually in the Ecuadorian Amazon take me back to the Jungle [Music] [Music] and that that you see over there that's called La Casa El suizo that's our hotel that's where we're staying isn't that crazy oh gracias we keep going up the stairs so we can get to La Casa del suizo [Music] so we made it all the way up and the first thing we see is this amazing restaurant and it's so hot that this bull is calling our name we have room 202 202 and we're on our way to see what it's like okay this is it here we are sonas let's turn on the light [Music] so here's the bathroom it's big and the shower and let's see what else this room has I knew it look at this this is where we will be sleeping there's two beds but the most amazing part is this look you can see the Napa River from right here and we can sit at this hammock to listen to the birds the nature and enjoy everything the Amazon has to offer this hammock is amazing to relax [Music] what do you think are you relaxed ciao and this is our bedroom for the next two nights but now we're going to change because we have another activity but I'm gonna see you really soon bye I know I am close I know I will shine we are back on the boat because we're gonna go visit a family that lives in an island across from where we're at and it's called Anaconda Island we're almost there look there it is oh what we have around there are well on the other side of the river is an island so we are now in an island and the name of this island is Anaconda Island well you can imagine why here in Anaconda Island there's about 50 kitra families and today we're meeting one of them [Music] I'm trying to respond but I can't figure out how to do it this is the whole thing this is the way how they prepare chicha and the teacher is more than a drink it's part of the life they drink ginger every day all right let's see how this is done [Applause] not too much [Music] so we had a little surprise it started raining but look what that rain brought us isn't that amazing a rainbow in the Amazon my guy we were distracted by the rainbow so we didn't realize our engine stopped working so here we are being rescued this is a little bit surreal to wake up in Ecuador in the middle of the Amazon that is the Napa River and the sun is coming out little by little at night it was a little cold a little cold not too much but we could hear the Napa River the entire night Birds who knows what kind of animals were out there the plan for this morning is to hike in the music by The Creature Reserve I'm really curious what we're going to find [Music] so let's do this we're totally ready going to work is a secondary forest and some of us start walking sticks well some of us did not I'm already feeling it too don't worry these leaves are huge look at this [Music] awesome you're looking like a prince and living inside excuse me so look at them there is a there is many and these ants are readable yeah she's eating this this hands we call them here the lemony hands oh [Laughter] it's got a lemony taste it definitely does [Music] reflection of me people fight for survival I'm chasing tails I'm surrounded can't stop for a second to breathe [Applause] [Music] [Music] spelling for the next person I'm a little scared of heights as you can see and don't worry Rapido however he is not [Music] um amazonas [Music] look at that that was definitely worth the hike I agree we were talking about that but here you have to focus more let's cool down a little bit with no reassuring so now we're on top of a Bowser law graft and I think we're you touch perfect so we're gonna hike up another Mountain because we are going to be doing some canopy like an Adventure Park we are here this is the Adventure Park but check out this view again so we are almost ready to start exploring this Adventure Park I already have my helmet on and my harness so now I'm just waiting to see what they tell me is next it wasn't too bad how are you doing alive take me back to the Jungle [Music] [Music] so we just got to this place that is called The Devil's Cauldron and we're gonna explore it to see what we can find empanadas today the weather is perfect it's not very hot no but it's also not very cold the weather is really perfect [Music] I think this is what they call the throat the throat of the devil stay with us please [Music] okay it is not super Alto Nano super Alto okay okay look at this impressive waterfall this is called The Devil's Cauldron El palon Del Diallo crappy though [Music] hey I guess now we're doing this yeah [Music] que Bonito [Music] after all of that excitement let's focus here in baños and learn how they take this seed called tawa and make it into something amazing this is a skill that has been passed from generation to generation and look at the marvelous things they create we just arrived to patate which is where we're going to be staying tonight and we're staying at Hacienda leito which is such a beautiful Hacienda let's go check it out is this is her bedroom there are three beds and here is the bathroom it even has a bathtub and since it's so cold today there's a chimney a fireplace with a fire already burning remember the canelasso that we talked about earlier here's another cup good morning from the salasaka community here in Ecuador look at my little friend this is the little guinea pig that I am getting to know check out this amazingly beautiful tapestries I am impressed by the colors and the designs it looks like you're from Ecuador not really Ecuador but one of their neighbors Colombia I see oh I love it Amano is spectaculares now we are at a rose Plantation on the outskirts of Quito and it's called Rose success so we're gonna check it out let's go they're showing us the entire process from planting the Roses to getting it to the customers it really is incredible [Music] okay perfecto I know I am close I know I will shine [Music] I know I'm free feeling alive take me back to the Jungle it's time for lunch and we just arrived to a really unique restaurant check it out yourself there's animals everywhere over there there's some huge pigs and over here you can see the horses but I can still see even more animals there are some goats and other stuff behind them like llamas and dogs and anything you can think of this soup is so delicious and it warms you up in this cold weather [Applause] I'm leaving just take your mask off and join me I know you're dying to see all the secrets for our last leg of the trip we stayed at the Hilton in Quito and this is our room let's check it out foreign here it is the bathroom is over here it's pretty spacious actually and let's go see the beds ah those look really really comfortable but I'm really dying to see the view from the room hello keto there you are and that's our room here at the Hilton good morning we woke up in Quito and we're getting ready to go explore the city let's go okay ladies first yes this are called me Stellas and you're supposed to put them in your mouth put them all the way to the roof of your mouth so there's an explosion of flavor and they're just delicious full of flavor [Music] hola que Gomez we are on our way to check out the church and convent of San Ignacio de La Jolla de la compania de Jesus dequito whoa that was a full mouth but here it is and it was such an amazing place however we are not allowed to take pictures of video but I hope one day you can visit this is the plaza de San Francisco and it's such an amazing place just look at the pigeons there's so much to see around here you can people watch you can enjoy the scenery or you can just go grab a cup of coffee there's a lot to do many have people told us about this place and here we are we are at the middle of the world Monument this is located at latitude of zero and we're hoping that pretty soon we can put one foot in the Northern Hemisphere and another one in the southern hemisphere I wonder if that it's gonna feel any different let's find out hmm that's not feeling any different maybe if we try a little Moon walking let's see what that does now it's time for lunch so let's get going I'm really hungry I can't believe that from our table at this restaurant we can see this amazing performance of traditional dances [Music] and the food I mean check this out it was out of this world these are some of my favorite and I tried them for the first time at this place but then you take them away from them fresh meat I'm feeling alive take me back to the Jungle [Music]
