Eating The World's Best Pizza in ITALY

[Music] all right we have arrived in naples specifically for one reason we are here to discover the world's best pizza which we have heard is here in naples but is there one pizzeria that trumps them all that is the answer that we are going to be finding out today i'm standing in front of one of the most famous pizzerias in the world it's called pizzeria de micheli and as you can see this place has absolutely chaotic energy there are so many people waiting in line right now and this is actually an active street there's cars and scooters just jamming by while all of these people are getting a bit hangry waiting for their pizza so we are number 22 and it's on 87 right now so i think we're gonna have to wait for a bit but i have a feeling it's gonna be worth it [Music] this is our moment the moment 22. [Music] it's okay to mean two minutes yeah oh my gosh it's already going to be here in two minutes that's a crazy expectation to have voila it was literally like 10 seconds about two minutes i don't even know what to do with this beautiful most beautiful pizza ever oh my gosh can you fold it or yeah it's like this no like that yes oh what oh it's like a rose is the proper way you hold a margarita pizza in neighbors all right it's time for the the moment we've been waiting for for a very long time we don't have to go anywhere else this is the best pizza in the entire plant there's this like soft sponginess to the dough there's also you can really taste every individual ingredient so the olive oil the basil the fresh mozzarella and like the pureness of these tomatoes this dough is literally just like so much squishy oh my god this is insane that's it i'm in love i am in a relationship with my pizza i'm in love i'm having a relationship with my pizza [Applause] it really is that good there's a reason there's a line on both sides yeah wow i think i think this is probably ruined pizza for both of us for the rest of our lives yeah wow these people are so nice it's very apparent that these people have been putting all of their care and attention into these pizzas for literally 150 years so this pizza ranks very high on the list i'm going to be shocked if there are any other places that will top this we have arrived at the next stop on our pizza pilgrimage and that is la figlia del presidente and i'm actually excited to come to this one in particular because when i was watching some videos about the best pizza places in naples i saw that this one has a female owner who looked really badass so i'm excited to try this next one [Music] yeah whichever one you think is good this whole endeavor right now is going to get us so full i don't know how i'm gonna i'm gonna have to save up some room for all of this but you know it's part of the job what can i say this is a challenging challenging day at the office but you know i do this for you so take the opportunity and subscribe because you know i'm really going through a lot for this wow wait wait how do you how do you eat this show me the way i choose [Music] this is crazy i've never seen a pizza like this before so this is a pizza frittata fritta i don't know i butcher everything i've got an incurable american accent but we've got a utensil for this one so since our man over there cut this into two pieces i'm going to assume that uh you're supposed to eat the whole thing in one oh juicy go and already i'm seeing that we might have been lost in translation a little bit i thought this would be a margarita pizza fritta but it's actually i can see there's some sausage hiding in there i'm covered in grease right now also there's a lot of very loud italians everywhere so that's fine but it's time [Music] i've never had anything like that before wow the like the oil from the the deep fried you know coating on this on this uh dough really is really overpowering so you can taste that a lot and it doesn't have the same kind of accent of flavor as the olive oil but the sausage that they use inside of this is also so juicy and this is going to put me directly into a food color so here's here goes that little no oh man okay i am so bummed because i wanted to come up here and film the kitchen for you guys but all of the chefs just went on break at 3 30 in the afternoon so i guess this is another one of those places where they have a siesta before they open up again for dinner at 7 00 pm but i can pretty much understand why because it is so hot in this kitchen right now so overall that meal for the pizza fritta and the water was 11 euros and in pizza pizzeria michelle it was 8 euros total so this one is a bit more expensive than the last but still pretty good [Music] we have now arrived to our third and final pizzeria this one is called sorbilo and i would say that this is probably one of the most famous pizzerias as well i've seen a lot of reviews photos and videos from this spot i think they all have expanded into a chain now but they still keep their traditional napoleon roots so i don't know where we're gonna conjure the stomach space for another pizza but for you guys i will try my best we're here to try the best pizza okay let's do the margarita [Music] i may have spoken too soon because this uh this pizza is looking insane we've got a little dollop of mozzarella on top which i think is a nice touch presentation wise this is the best one we've had so far but does it move up to the taste type i think a guiding factor of all of these pizzas is that the middle part needs to be very doughy the point of being soggy and wet which is great as you can see we're getting some some dripping some dripping action happening here which is always a good sign it's uh it's time to try it wow [Music] this is hard this is a hard choice the taste of the basil on this one is way more prominent which really adds like that freshness and it goes with the tomato sauce so well this pizza dough doesn't have the same amount of sponginess as it did in the previous pizzeria still good i would definitely recommend this classic margarita over the pizza frida because that one is uh kind of like putting a tranquilizer dart in your stomach still shaking off the sleepiness from that one but oh i just can't get over the quality of this mozzarella this is going to be one of the hardest decisions i've ever ever made i think i just fell in love with the people at denma shelley immediately so i have to have a special place in my heart already but wow this is also an insane piece of pizza wow literally water is the same price as pizza maybe eating three pizzas in one day is not something i would recommend i feel like there is a lead brick of olive oil and mozzarella and dough just churning around in my stomach right now overall i did enjoy the whole food experience the service and the food at pizzeria michelle the most the sorbilos pizza was probably second best followed by figlia della presidente ah this has been amazing and i would say my advice to you if you want to go on your own pizza tour here in naples is that there are literally hundreds of pizza places to choose from i'm sure they're all gonna be good make sure to watch out for the hectic tracks sometimes even here at all times this city is crazy it's a bit grungy it's old it's beautiful i highly recommend traveling here for a very unique perspective on italy and thank you again for watching
