today I'll guide you through the process of creating this project in blender here's a stepbystep breakdown first download fspy and install it as an add-on to blender once fspy is installed load your reference image by dragging and dropping it into fspy select Y for the vanishing point axis and negative Z for now this can be changed later you can press and hold shift to magnify the exact angle align the axis as shown in the example and follow the steps provided change finishing Point 2 to Z choose your 3D guide I chose box and once satisfied save it open blender and locate the fs spy file you saved import it into blender create a cube and click toggle x-ray for a better perspective on the reference image align the shape as shown in the example press tab to enter edit mode and use G+ y G+ X and G+ C to adjust select a face press shift plus d to duplicate then go to mesh and separate by selection rename one part banner and the other Collision set the mesh origin to origin to center of mass enter edit mode and subdivide the mesh move it slightly on the negative X AIS press shift plus a select curves then curve spirals then archimedian set the radius to 0.03 radius growth to 0.02 spiral turns to six and steps to 30 select the aredian curve move it up using G Plus Z and G+ X and align it to the center of the mess Banner rotate the x-axis by 90° enter edit mode and adjust the vertices as shown in the video select the mesh banner go to modifier properties and add the curve modifier set the curve object to the spiral and the deform AIS to negative y adjust the z-axis in object properties and change the location based on your reference perspective in the physics properties apply off properties to the banner and adjust the values as needed to add a pin group press tab select the bottom vertices add a Vertex group and name it pin group e select the Collision mesh and add Collision physics properties on the banner mesh go to cach bake all Dynam and wait for it to finish check the animation change render properties to cycles and set the device to GPU compute in color management change view transform from filmic to standard under film check transparent select the camera go to background images and adjust the opacity to 100% now you need to add environment texture to the scene select the Collision mesh go to object properties and set it as a shadow catcher go to edit Shader nodes from world then press contrl T ensure the node Wrangler add-on is enabled in preferences and adjust the values preview your animation and adjust the position of the mess Banner as needed to add material to the mess Banner make sure it's unwrap go to edit mode select tall and press you to unwrap the mesh while it's selected go to Shader editor and add new material and then press shift a and type image texture then locate your image you want to put as material press control T and adjust values bake the animation and here since the texture is flip vertically just type negative 90° and it's fixed and there you go please let me know if this video helps you in some way and thanks for watching don't forget to hit this subscribe button to learn more
