Easy knit Ribbed Beanie with straight knitting needle (adult size)

[Music] hey everyone it's me Jenny and welcome to my channel in this video I'm going to show you how to knit this ribbing or rapini I use straight knitting needle to knit up and sew both ends together and right here and you can do this with or without the pom-pom this is a very stretchy beanie I used a yarn with Polly mate content as you can see I can stretch it real wide and it will go back to its original form yeah it is very stretchy and in this tutorial I'm going to show you two need the adult size okay so the yarn that I use is this I see yarn I see it I got this from I said calm and this is cake baby lollipop and the content is 80% acrylic and 20% poly meat okay the parliament content make it really stretchy and soft so if you don't have this you can use any yarn with polymer content and also with your number four and for the knitting needle I use straight needle five millimeter okay so without further ado let's start okay first start by making a slip knot and now slide it into the knitting needle and cast on 72 stitches okay the slip knot on the knitting needle count as the first stitch as you can see I use the long tail cast on but you can use any Castle technique that you prefer okay so go ahead and cast on 72 stitches okay now that you're done who is 72 cast on now let's start with Row one so we're going to do the ribbing stitch which is going to be knit two and purl two okay so knit the first two stitch two and purl two one and two okay so repeat again knit two and purl two proof - okay so go ahead and finish up row one until the last two stage is going to be the pro stage okay so I'll meet you at the end of Row 1 okay now that you done with room 1 so 4 or 2 is going to be the same as well which is knit two and purl two knit two one two and purl two one two okay so you want to repeat the two and pro two on every row until you reach Road 44 0 or about seven and a half inches length okay so go ahead finish up until you reach row 40 and I'm itchy Etienne [Music] okay once you reach row 40 this is how it's going to look like okay if you pull its it it's so stretchy I really really love yarn with polyMet content and to measure this is you should get about seven and a half inches once you reach row forty so let's start with row 41 okay so for row 41 we're going to do a few stitch decrease so start with knit two and we're going to purl every purl stitch okay so knit two one two and we're going to purl together these two purl stitch now need to one two and purl the to stitch together okay so repeat knit two and purl to stitch together until you reach the end of row forty one and I'll meet you at the end okay now that you done with row 41 you should have total of 54 stitches on your knitting needle okay so now let's start with row 42 it's going to be the same now which is going to knit 1 and purl the to stitch together okay so knit 1 and purl to stitch together okay knit one and purl to stitch together okay so repeat the same knit one and purl to stitch together until you reach the end of row 42 and I'll meet you at EF [Music] okay now that you're done with RO 42 you should have 36 stitches on your knitting needle okay so now let's start with row 43 okay so for road 43 is going to be the last row we're going to start with knit one and knit two stitches together knit one and knit two stitch together okay so you want to repeat the same knit one and knit two stitches together until you reach the end of round 40 row 43 he and I'll meet you at yep okay so knit the last 2 stitch together this is row 43 okay so for the last row row 43 you should have total of 24 stitches on your knitting needle 24 stitches okay let's now I'm going to show you how to finish up and stitch up this beanie okay now we're going to cut the yarn but leave it a very very long tail because we're going to grab all the stitches and knit both ends together so make sure it's long enough and the yarn and grab your needle okay so I'm going to show you how would you pick up all the stitches 24 stitches on the knitting needle now slide the first stitch in to the needle just like all the stitches on the knitting needle to the tapestry needle okay now just pull the yarn and this tighten all the stitch together okay and I just put the needle into the first first stitch and just pull it and you just want to continue pull and do a few knots until the top is really really tighten and secure [Music] he just makes you not as you can see there's still a little bit hole right here you can cover that with pom-pom if we decide to put pom-pom on this beanie so now I'm going to show you how to join these two ends together and so I'm just going to do it slowly and I hope you can see clearly how I did is [Music] [Music] [Music] okay now once you reach the end so this is how it looks like and you want to make sure the last few stitch is going to be evened he almost done okay so just pull it um slightly tighter this time and we're going to make few knots inside of the beanie and within the ends [Music] you [Music] okay so now within this end as well [Music] okay so this is how it looks like once it's finished this one is the adult size test on 72 stitches and 43 rows and this one with the pom-pom is child size are my castle 72 stitches as well but I only needed up to row 35 okay so you can do it with or without the pom-pom [Music] okay so there you have it guys I hope this tutorial is easy for you to follow I really really love this material with polymer it is really really stretchy and I cast on the same 72 stitches for child and adult I just do it different height for the child 35 row 35 rows and adult 43 heroes okay as I say I hope you find this tutorial easy to follow give me a thumbs up if you do share this video subscribe to my channel if you have not already therefore you won't miss any of my future upload follow me on social media Facebook and Instagram okay for now take care everyone and I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for watching bye [Music]
