EASIEST way to INSTALL and USE ComfyUI – 2024 Stable Diffusion | Everything about Comfy UI

before starting the video there's an important warning in this series I am going to talk about a gen AI tool that gives you extra power with this tool the only limitation is your imagination however as you must have heard in the Spider-Man movie great poweres great responsibility so use this tool carefully and responsibly first you will learn about the easiest method to install comfy UI second you will also learn about installing a crucial extension designed to enhance its usability finally we will run our first text to image workflow to make sure everything is working as expected on your local machine first navigate to the GitHub repository Linked In the video description you can simply click on the provided URL or copy it into your browser once you're on the GitHub page locate the download button depending on your operating system choose the appropriate version for example if you're using Windows 10 or 11 click on the corresponding button labeled for your OS after clicking the download button the stability Matrix win64 zip file will begin downloading automatically next you'll need to extract the contents of the zip file simply right click on the zip file and select extract all or your preferred extraction method once extracted open the folder where the files have been extracted in sa you will find the stability Matrix x file double click the stability Matrix x file to launch the application you have the option to keep the default path or change it to your desired location simply follow the onscreen instructions to proceed click on the continue button to proceed to the next screen on the subsequent screen you'll find various stable diffusion interfaces listed including stable diffusion web UI stable diffusion web UI Forge comfy UI focus and more since we're focusing on comfy UI for this demonstration click on the comfy UI link this will prompt a recommended model popup offering selections such as SD 1.5 SD XL and more for now let's close this popup to proceed with the installation of comfy UI we'll select the model later in the process closing the popup initiates the installation process for comfy UI setting up the interface for immediate use please be patient during this process as it might take some time the installation involves downloading and installing multiple required components for comfy UI to function seamlessly once the installation process is finished the installation window will close automatically here you'll find a button labeled launch clicking on this button will launch comfy UI to install the UI manager follow these three simple steps as highlighted on the screen additionally ensure that git is installed on your machine if git is not already installed follow these steps navigate to Google and search for git for windows open the first link in the search results to access the official download page download the software and follow onscreen instructions for installation navigate to stability Matrix root folder then to packages folder then comfy UI folder and finally custom nodes folder for installing the comfy UI manager right click and select opening terminal from the menu copy the Second Step which includes the git clone command from the screen and paste it into the terminal press enter and within a couple of seconds The Comfy UI manager will be installed double click the stability Matrix executable file again to reopen the interface click on the launch button please note that for the first time it may take some time to download necessary dependent files click on the URL provided to open comfy UI in your web browser you'll notice that the first checkpoint box is highlighted in red this indicates that the model hasn't been downloaded yet let's close the tab for now and proceed to download the model first to download the model click on the model browse icon this will open a new screen where you can search for models from civit AI clicking on search will list all available models you can select any model you want Additionally you can filter the type of model you want for example selecting SD 1.5 will filter only stable diffusion 1.5 models for this demonstration let's select the Epic photog gasm model clicking on the model name will open a popup that offers different variants of this model you can select the variant you prefer and click on import this action will initiate the download of the selected model upon completion of the download you will receive a notification and the model will begin appearing inside the checkpoint stable diffusion section now click on the launch icon from the left menu this will navigate you to the launch page for comfy UI click on the launch button to proceed after a brief moment the console will display the IP address you can either click on that IP address or click on the open web UI button this action will open comfy UI in your web browser now in the load checkbox change the model to Epic photog gasm model keep the positive and negative prompts the same this is just to test that our installation happened correctly and it is working as expected then click on the Q prompt button you will notice that all the boxes are highlighted in green indicating that those blocks are being processed ultimately you will see your first awesome image generated by comfy UI using the Epic photog gasm model now let's try our own negative and positive prompts in the positive prompt let's add super cute blonde woman in a dark theme and in the negative prompt let's add ugly blurred low quality let's also change the steps from 20 to 25 I will be explaining all these terms in my upcoming video Once done click on the Q prompt button again in the next couple of seconds our awesome quality detailed image will be generated let's
