- Hey, everyone, and welcome back. So recently, I made a YouTube Shorts video showing step-by-step how people are earning
free money with Canva. But, well, understandably, because that video tutorial was so short, people had a lot of questions and asked for a longer
in-depth tutorial video, so this is the tutorial for
those of you that requested it. And when I say this method
can earn free money, I'm not just talking $50 or $100. Nope, as you can see, this
method can earn serious money, as in, over 10,000 US dollars
plus a nice monthly paycheck. And just to clarify something, when I say free, I mean 100% for free. No hidden costs, no hidden
fees, no hidden subscriptions. Because for this method, as you will see, you don't need a paid Pro Canva account. Because here's the deal,
right? Canva has two accounts. They have a free account and
they have a paid Pro account. Well, as my longtime
subscribers will know, in previous videos like this video here, in past tutorials, I've shown
how to make money with Canva by creating and selling
T-shirt designs with it. However, those tutorials
required a paid Pro account because the tutorials used
Pro account only features. And while the paid Pro accounts do have a very generous 30-day free trial, once that trial is over, you're supposed to pay for your account. And so, as some people have pointed out, saying that those methods
make money with Canva are free is kind of debatable, which is why I wanted to share
a method to make money online with the Canva free account,
no Pro account required, so let's jump straight into it. So then let's get started with step one, register for a free Canva account. All right, so for those of
you that are new around here, this is Canva. As my longtime subscribers know, it's my favorite graphic design tool. It was created so that beginners with no artistic or design experience can create beautiful, aesthetic graphics. And one of the ways
that they have done that is they have pre-installed
hundreds and thousands of pictures, shapes, and
photos for you to use for free. And it's this feature within
Canva, its free pictures, that we're gonna be taking
advantage of for this tutorial. And it's so simple to use. You just go to Elements and then search for whatever
picture that you want and then just drag and
drop it onto the canvas. And the really handy thing for us is that the free account, as I said, has hundreds of thousands of
pictures pre-installed already. Now, it is true that the Pro account does have millions of pictures, so if you have a Pro account,
then it's great to use that. But the free account already
has a ton of them already, so if you just wanna
stick to the free account, that is fine. Either way, I'll have a link
to where you can get Canva in the video description below. Okay, so now it's on to step two, pick an easy printable
picture product to sell. So I can imagine a
bunch of you are asking, "Okay, Sarah, how are we gonna
take Canva's free pictures and use them to make money?" Well, the answer is that
we're going to use them to create an easy
printable picture product and then we're gonna sell it on Etsy. So, of course, this here is Etsy. It's one of the largest
online marketplaces for buying and selling products. Now, on Etsy, there are two
different types of products that you can buy. The first is physical products
that you physically hold, like a mug or a T-shirt or a poster. The second type of product, though, is digital or printable products, and so instead of getting
an actual physical poster, you instead get a printable image file that you can then print off and
turn into a poster yourself. And so, for example, if I
bought this poster set here, I wouldn't be getting
actual physical posters. Instead, because this is a
digital printable product, when I buy it, Etsy will automatically
email me a download link. Well, I can then click
on that download link and then download all
of the PDF image files and then print those off
onto my own poster paper to make my own poster set.
And so as you can see, it's actually a really passive
way to earn money online because once you've uploaded
your digital files to Etsy, they take care of pretty
much everything else for you. So what you wanna do is
you wanna spend some time browsing through Etsy's
printable products, seeing if there are any products that look like they'd be easy to make by utilizing Canva's free images. So for example, take a look at this, printable kids' routine cards and charts. Parents print these off
and then they use them to help kids better visualize
what they have to do each day. And take this one here. It's a series of pages
which have different charts and these little pictures
with squares on them with different images in them that represent the different activities that kids need to do for the day. And then parents will
print these pages out and then cut out the little cards so that kids can then put
them onto the empty charts and create and visualize their day. In other words, it's a series
of printable picture pages. So how much money do you think
that this Etsy store has made just from selling these
specific picture pages? The answer is over 10,000 US dollars. And actually, it's over 12,000 US dollars, as estimated by the Etsy
product research app Alura. And since digital products
have very few overheads, I imagine most of this was profit. And by the way, if you wanna check out that Etsy product research tool that I just used there, Alura, I'll also have a link to that
in the video description. I also used Alura to
estimate how much money it thought that this digital
product makes per month, and it estimated it at
around 900 US dollars. So that is $12,000 plus
a monthly income of $900 just from these picture pages,
which I think is pretty cool. And so this is the sort
of printable product that you wanna keep an eye out for, a printable product where, in theory, as long as you had the pictures
and the shapes and the texts to drag and drop onto a
canvas, you could create. And so once you've chosen
the printable product that you wanna make, it's time to move on to step three, creating your printable picture product. It's really simple, just log into Canva and choose what dimensions
you want your canvas to be. For me, I'm just making my own version of these kids' routine cards
where you cut them out, so I set mine to be an A4 page size. You might also find it
handy to turn on the rulers so that you can help
space out pictures evenly. So to do that, you just go to File and click on the rulers option. And depending on your product, you might wanna add additional pages, so just click on the Add page button and add as many pages as you'd like. And once you've chosen how many pictures that you'd like to create, we can go ahead and customize them. And to do that, just go
to the left side menu and click either the Text
button or the Elements button to find pictures, shapes, and texts that you can just drag and drop onto the canvas and move around to create your own version of
your chosen printable product. Now, when you're searching
through the pictures, you might notice that some of the pictures have a crown next to them. Well, these are Pro account only images. And so if you have a free
account, you can do what I did, which was to click on
the search filter button and then select the option to
only show the free pictures, and then you won't see
any of the Pro pictures. You'll just see the free pictures
that are available to you. I chose to do this so that you could see that there are lots of great
free pictures to choose from and that you don't need a Pro account. Although, if you do have a Pro account, then obviously it's better because you do have
access to more pictures and you're welcome to use both the free and Pro images in that case. And just to clarify, because
I do, understandably, get a lot of people asking this question, I reached out to the Canva licensing team who confirmed to me that, at the time of them writing their email, you are allowed to use Pro
images in products that you sell. The one exception is that you can't sell them
unmodified by themselves. So a good idea is to combine, say,
multiple pictures together or to combine pictures with text or to do what I did in
this example product of combining multiple
pictures with square shapes. And so once you've gone ahead and dragged and dropped your
pictures, shapes, and text, and got it the way that you
want it to look on the canvas, it is time to save it as a printable file so that people can buy it, yay. And it's because of this that this method is
friendly for free accounts, because as my longtime subscribers know, I and others use Canva every
day to make T-shirt designs that we sell with print on demand. And if you'd like to learn how, you should be sure to download
my free print on demand ebook in the video description. Well, in my previous tutorial videos where I show how I use Canva to do this, it requires that for a T-shirt design that you set your file to have a transparent
background when saving, and that is a feature that
only Pro accounts can use. However, for printable products, you do not need to save it
on a transparent background. All you need to do is save
it as a printable file, usually as a printable PDF file, which all accounts, including
free accounts, can do, yay. I also recommend that, depending on what you're
creating and selling, that you add crop marks to
it and that you flatten it and that you select the CMYK color profile and then download it. And that's it, you now
have a printable product that you can sell on Etsy, yay. There's just one problem, though, and that is that it's usually not free to list items for sale on Etsy, which is why we're gonna do step four, create a free Etsy store. So here's a quick trick. Normally, Etsy charges
20 cents to list an item. However, if you set your store up right, you can get 40 free item listings. And that's because Etsy
has a referral program. Existing stores can refer new
Etsy stores to their platform, and if they do, they get
40 free item listings and you get 40 free item listings. It's a win-win. So what Etsy stores will do is they will list their referral
link as an item on Etsy. So just come to Etsy and do
a search for 40 free listings and click on any of the
40 free item listings from the search results. Now, here's the thing.
Do not buy anything. Instead, open up the listing description and click on the referral
link that will be in there. And when you do, you'll be taken
to their referral link page and then you can register
through that page to get your 40 free listings. And actually, speaking of the search bar, when you do list your printable
picture product up on Etsy using your free item listings, the most common way that people
find products to buy on Etsy is with that search bar. They'll come to Etsy
and use the search bar to find whatever they want. This is called search engine
traffic or SEO traffic, and the wonderful thing about
it is that it is free, yay. So before you do list your item for sale, I recommend going to YouTube and watching some free
videos from Etsy sellers who share their tips and tricks for how they tweak their item listings, such as their item titles, to get more free search engine traffic. And you know what? Since you're getting
40 free item listings, you might as well take
advantage of them all, right? Which leads us on to step
five, scale your profits. In my opinion, the best
way to scale your profits is to take advantage of all
the 40 free item listings that you've been given and not just sell one
product, but sell 40. Because while I have showcased one example of a printable picture product, kids' routine charts and
cards, for this video, there are so many that you
can create and sell on Etsy. For example, in my YouTube Shorts video, I showcased a completely
different product. I showcased kids' coloring pages, which are just black-and-white
pictures that kids color in. And as you can imagine, creating something like this
is really easy with Canva. You just drag and drop
black-and-white pictures onto a blank canvas and
now kids can color them in. And I think that this is a good example of another tip that I have for you, and that is that usually,
not always but usually, kids' printable products
are a lot easier to create than printable products for adults. For example, if we do a search for adults coloring pages on Etsy, the pictures are way more detailed. Whereas if we compare them to the kids, especially the toddlers'
coloring in pages, these are a lot more
simple, a lot more basic, and a lot more
beginner-friendly to make, yay. So then, did my video inspire you? If it did, please subscribe and click on that little notification bell so that you don't miss
