welcome Jess middle craft my name is Jerry been working on another stove here we recently uploaded a video on the on the tarp tent teepee style and so if you miss that one go back and look at that but the idea is hot tinting so we decided to sleep and come up with a fairly portable type of wood stove to use in there and so this is kind of what I came up with the firebox is 18 inches long we're 10 inches tall and about 11 inches wide and overall we're 18 inches tall the legs are 5/16 rod threaded rod just bought two three foot sections and cut them in half then we have a wingnut down here and a I'm not sure the exact name a flat washer or flat nut washer nut similar to these things but I've happened to find them without the little spikes to keep them from turning nut inserts I guess would be more appropriate okay here's our door wanted something really simple didn't want the handles hanging all over the place so I came up with just a piece that slides off not only does it slide off you can also adjust the air flow if you're first starting it we may want to run it like this and as you can see we can close it all the way off it's probably 90 verse percent airtight there's still a little bit of gap around we're not real concerned about anything like that it so anyway we just slide the door back and forth for the air flow slides all the way open to load it and we end up with just a real simple door and take it apart we nuts I think I'm going to tack weld these nuts on them I just have to load them on the outside there's something happening and replace them you can grind away and two back ones are a little bit stiff I got to do just a little bit of trimming on [Music] [Music] and our bottom we've got bins on as many of the parts as we can and where we can eat it oh this is 16-gauge so it's fairly robust I think it'll last many years a little heavier than some of the store-bought ones but you take a 16-gauge and if this was just a flat sheet you could flex it back and forth like a piece of paper you know with this band that stuff is you can stand on that and it won't Bend did struggle a little bit out to get these panels to kind of stand up putting it together they kept falling and trying to hold all four of them was a nightmare and now I got it so tight I can't edit apart but the front door here kind of a sloppy kind of afterthought thing anyway did but that's sliding down in there locks everything together you have our side panels and of course I've had to do a little trimming here and there to shows you how those inserts go in there [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] and there we go we got a fairly compact four foot wide to be yeah 18 19 inches this wide or long quite compact it probably weighs 20 or 25 pounds maybe a little heavy for backpacking but for a sled or vehicle the other thing I need to do is gonna have to cut on that top piece cut a hole in it a round hole for the stovepipe but I haven't quite decided I mean I know I'm gonna have a four inch maybe five I just haven't decided which route I'm gonna go of course we all want the titanium ones but I figured up the 150 bucks for the crazy thing a nesting pipe that goes from five before some of them go from four to five inch they're around fifty bucks I haven't decided there yet and I have the idea try to make my own type nestings anyway I'm holding off on the cut in the hole so we know exactly what we got before we start and if and when we get to that point well yeah we'll continue on with this video thanks for watching
