Duplicate Timelines - DaVinci Resolve for NOOBS! - Tip #12

while you're in the edit page of DaVinci Resolve in the upper left of your timeline there is a little toggle here that will open up your timeline view options the very first option in the upper left is stacked timelines if you click on that you'll notice that your timeline now has a tab and a name next to it if you right click on that you could duplicate this timeline and make an exact copy that you can go in and you can modify any way you want and it won't affect the original timeline you have in tab 1. but another cool thing you can do is if you want to do some fast edits of a project that you have going on you can create a new timeline go up in the media pool grab one of your existing timelines and bring it down into that new timeline it'll show up like that entire project already has been exported and put together this is really great for creating quick shorts from your content or just creating some sections that you might need for something else
