remove your hand from the box and you die what's in the box hey [Music] so thank goodness we finally understood do not brush against the bush unless you leave a thread to show the way where we go no one must follow [Laughter] [Music] my planet arrakis is so beautiful when the sun is low rolling over the sands you can see spice in the air i shot three movies there the first time i was alone with a a video camera meeting a small documentary in the petra's area and i remember being uh falling i i remember falling in love with the people from jordan and the landscape of course which is so stunning you know and i came back here uh in 2009 with a unit film crew from canada like we were 35 or something like that and again i scout all over jordan with what i did seeing all it's like for me it's really like a it's very impressive every 25 miles you have a totally different landscape you know so you have like all different kind of deserts here that you can wish for and i remember when i i came here the first time i uh saying to myself if ever i do a sci-fi movie like dune that will be the place this movie has been entirely possible because of the generosity of the peoples from jordan and so uh when it what it came the time to do do now we are 800 it's a difference but still again i have the same feeling of making a movie with friends and embracing those stunning landscape that i cannot find nowhere else but i think is that jordan has a very special vibe you know it's like uh in an area of the world which is uh the birth of our civilizations you know and it's like uh there's something about the light here there's something about the soul of the country that uh i think we can capture with the camera that i i can't i don't find that same kind of uh emotion anywhere else and there's something um pretty dramatic about those landscapes that were really suitable for uh doom duncan can i trust you something yes always you know that going to jordan was was was a monumental moment in my life to see petra and i've never seen like one of the wonders of the world like that and i've never seen a desert like that never i'm a rock climber i've never seen rocklin let's fight like demons we are in in uh wadiram the jordan the jordanian desert and every day i come here to to work i'm always surprised by the beauty and the force of nature and that is going to be so well portrayed in the movie that only just because of that is worth a ticket i will i will never forget uh being here and being treated this way and i don't mean treated because you are an actor in a movie set and you are in a nice hotel i mean on the street level i mean on the everybody in the crew and the the way they work on the movie it's it's very it's very great i mean everybody's happy about it and they they know what they're doing and they want to make it better and they work hard and and they know that we all appreciate that and we really worship the way they they treat us hopefully you do it added a transformative quality i think for everyone i think for everyone do you often dream things that happen just as you dreamed them yes jordan has been um beautiful like honestly like every day when i go on set i'm just like whoa like this is where i get to work today you know it's just like it's crazy i mean thus far the overall experience in jordan has been incredible i mean experiencing i love to experience different cultures and learn more about their history and language and you know it's just been it's been really great and i think we've all been welcomed with open arms [Applause] [Music] the moment has arrived welcome to a bold new world thousands of years in the future full of wonder power and deception we are house atreides empires rise and fall the emperor asks us to bring peace and destiny awaits well if i'm not the future of house of treaties and at the center of it all is the epic journey of a young man with a very special gift the future i can see it an army to lead and a family to protect in the midst of war who's no room for fear fear is the mind killer witness one of the greatest stories ever told this is doom don't miss dune in cinema soon [Music] you
