Dumpster Diving "We're Bustin' Stuff Up!"

oh man it's starting to rain y'all starting to come down nice and dry in here though i think i see a couple of little things oh we sure do stuff in here [Music] [Music] get up here in the dry spot come down lots of snippets get what we can some good stuff in here yeah all right back here the dry spot though yeah it's been kind of like hit and miss here these past couple days with this rain just all like uh you know nothing solid all over town just spotty here and there so we might get lucky and find a spot that doesn't have ooh look at somebody's lunch uh have as much uh much rain although i think it's gonna blow through quick so you know it is what it is definitely coming down right now though that's all right it's all right all right all right shut her back well now we just got wetness oh there goes a box or something in it it's a stereo with a turntable set it up in here real quick built-in turntable what we got here y'all a curtis never heard of curtis or a power chord don't know this may be a lost car because this this one was open hey speaker there's a remote i don't know let her dry out real good she didn't look like she got too wet boy it's so nasty up in here nope okay one speaker one head unit thingamajigger sorry all right open top look at that it's a desk man look at all the water in the bottom though i see a motor in there whoa caught myself all right so how are we going to get this stuff out getting our feet all wet this way i need the boots the boots all right hello back here almost busted it good y'all all right the chair all right let's grab this motor here nice heavy [Music] [Music] motor get that there all right you gotta be like spiderman a little bit like spiderman looks like truck parts some filters and stuff all right head back this way plastic go okay get the chair that desk uh usually i'd be grabbing that desk but i know i'm gonna have to get my feet so wet for that scrap yard they made these ducks and points at that point uh pounds [Music] because i wouldn't talk so yeah if that weren't sitting in so much water it'd be coming home with me but is what it is y'all hey y'all check it out there's a dumpster with a porter can attached buckets oh i think i see some lights get my gloves they're a little damp when i say a little damp i mean like they're like they're like really really wet like so wet oh my gosh all right get this sucker here get my umbrella i think i've seen some lights in there too so we'll check that out god i'm gonna have to get in i know i am because the hooks those boxes are soaking wet all right all right yeah look at that oh yeah they got the cords and everything that's not bad right there get some stainless off of it oh stay let's break it's too [Music] got a pump some sort of pump stinner pump huh right here doesn't look too bad cord there anything in this one yes sir i'll take it most definitely everything in the buckets all right all right oh yeah i got invested in a new stick or i bet i could fix it i just put a screw in it quit being so lazy get to work all right yeah we'll check this guy out plug her in too see if she works huh sweet okay thing in our trusty steam over here big wet dumpsters with the bugs all right that goes with something right there oh wet dumpster white dumpster [Music] that's these cat large oh there's this monitor in there all wet yep got the metal innards in that one get that guy there this is this here gotta live the wet dumpster the smell of wet dumps in the morning set these over here nose stick them in there a little electronic board it's a freaking shame about the monitor total shame like a little piece of scrap there [Music] oh there's something stinks oh that's right wet dumpster this is some toilets [Music] dirty toilets wet cardboard straight up nasty nasty oh i see a door in that one okay let's go check that one out whoa they're polished oh big boy the handle's gone there's a panel door let me get my axe all right we got our axe we're busting stuff up well okay that landed right on the monitor safe to say for the monitor all right let's see here buzz that piece see if we can bust a piece without busting it i gotta flip this thing over let's get this thing off the closer the closer oh dude all right we'll flip her over and get the uh that piece off there if we can get her to flip over she's kind of heavy she's sliding we got a little bit more boy it's nasty out straight nasty all right almost [Music] got it hopefully it's a piece of stalin i'm hoping scrap scrub script all right y'all let's go oh check these boxes out move somewhere i don't think it rained as much cat 6 look at all that that's what i'm talking about y'all that's a lot of cat six wire right there i hope all these boxes are full like this that's a pretty decent little payday if it is this one feels like it's got some stuff in it too it sure does oh my goodness okay usually i'll just take the uh whole box of the spoil but i don't feel like dealing with all that yeah these are like from projects and i guess there's just not a lot enough to do another project because these things probably hold like what 500 feet or something maybe a thousand feet yes what we got here that ain't enough for a project but that's definitely enough for me any day boy oh holy crap [Music] six i guess that's cat six plus i guess there's a difference between cat six cat six e and cat six plus maybe maybe [Music] [Music] oh crap what happened we got backlash y'all we gotta back off almost had a big old rat's nest yo fisherman y'all know what y'all know what i mean i feel my pain feel my struggle [Music] well we getting a pile of this trap big old pile of crap god they all have freaking wire in them box ah thank you yeah it's a little bit drier over here so we gotta only gotta get up into these dumpsters that's a lake and a half on some cat butter y'all stay tuned we'll go to the next scrapbook see what we get on all this cat why like a power supply all these wires man look at all that crap look at that what the heck look at that this bunch of locks no keys though no keys no yavis order two tacos with no beans and no bullets dude that's a nice little lick right there a little cleaning up to do though never seen locks like that before i wonder if they're like stainless get some stainless breakage on them it's gross in here pretty grody [Music] hey that's a good decent little box subscribe man get more stuff like that chords and such whoop drop little trash little trash man yeah that's a pile of some wires box of wires those locks man that's bananas sweet i can see some stuff i can't see some stuff all righty scavengers i'm gonna go ahead and call it right there don't have my gloves on right now they got completely soaked but we got some stuff today not a whole lot but i think all in all we actually did very well that cat wire we're definitely gonna get a few bucks for that got us an electric motor these uh locks right here uh i put a magnet on them no bueno no bueno so yeah that's just gonna be i mean there's brass internals if you i mean like you really want to get that crap out of there but all in all that's just probably gonna go to the scrap pile uh got us a whole hoard of wires here to go through some power supplies this and that um see some electronic boxes back there a little aluminum breakage on that that uh umbrella that's one of those nice ones that you know you have at the uh the community pool so yeah that's gonna be aluminum you can cut it up you know get as much as you can off there and then what not you know you can do some aluminum breakage out on it um yeah got some good stainless back there with those lights yeah we'll have to clean those up there that there that there and then uh yeah i wanted to show you all the other stereo i found this is actually a really cool stereo because it has a uh it has a turntable it's got a turntable cassette deck and cd player and am fm radio so i did kind of play with it a little bit i do believe she's working let's see here we'll go ahead we got her on the fm see that's the cd although i'm not sure the cds are working i can't get it to open which could be a total bummer i don't know i'm gonna have to kind of play with that a little bit but there was actually a cassette in here check this out it says it's pipes and dixie banjo band and the speaker the one speaker we found actually works is here [Music] yeah so we got the cassette there let's see can't tell if that was working or not but that one works let's see here the tuner we're on houston public media yeah the tutor's working and then i'm guessing this is the turntable look at that the turntable's turning so all in all i'd say this thing is probably pretty much a success yeah i can hear yeah you can hear the uh sound coming from the knee although there's no needle in there it doesn't look like there's a needle so it may have to get a replacement but all in all like this is actually really cool something that i like because i have i do have a quite a collection of lps and i haven't had an lp player in a record player in a while uh and then the fact this guy will play cds cassettes and lps that's amazing that's absolutely amazing so yeah we'll have to i'll have to kind of mess with it play with it a little bit but all in all i think it's i think it's in pretty good working shape this is fresh air oh yeah it's fresh air we need fresh air and then the tapes [Music] and then uh the cd it comes on but like i said i can't get this sucker to open so i don't know you know it definitely looks like it's probably from i'm gonna go out on a limb probably say the late 90s maybe yeah it's got to be the late 90s being that it has a cassette deck or whatever all right let's see stop that stop all right crazy crazy crazy and then this little pup back here i'm not quite sure this was found in the pool dumpster so i'm guessing this is probably for like a pool or something it's a center pump or center pump company model 85 is this some sort of chemical injection pump because it looks like you got a little couple of hoses that come off of there let's plug her in and check it out and see probably something we shouldn't be plugging in dry because it you know probably burn it up so yeah i'm guessing it works i mean is it is it supposed to just go that slow i'll look it up in uh i'll look it up online and see but yeah all in all that seems to be working as well so yeah i mean all in all you know pretty successful evening uh i thought the rain was gonna hamper it in the beginning uh but we ended up moving around a little bit and it didn't get too wet just really wet there in the beginning but you know towards the end we moved a little bit different part of town was a little bit drier and we ended up making it work so yeah we definitely got some resale stuff well not a whole lot of resale stuff mostly just scrap this trip which is cool there's a stereo i mean i could most definitely resell but maybe hang on to it i definitely want to play with it maybe put some lps get some bigger speakers for it that's for sure maybe set it up in the storage unit for some jams but uh yeah all in all appreciate it appreciate it appreciate it yeah thank you dumpster gods but uh anyways already guys that is gonna do it for this episode of
