you guys sound wonderful i had no idea that was in you i am so impressed thank the lord thank you lord i'm just telling you something sister paul there are some people that are anointed to draw things out yes did you know that there are some people you have gifts in you that you didn't know was there you have treasure in you that you didn't even know and you get somebody that has that grace and has that anointing and they'll pull it out of you and you'll start doing it before you even realize you were doing it and it'll be the most natural and wonderful and beautiful thing in the whole world oh my goodness sounds great welcome everybody to hasn't just been an incredible conference this has just been absolutely wonderful we have enjoyed the presence of god and i feel like tonight is going to be something very special for all of you i just want you right now just to open your heart and on purpose you know how to do it you know how you believe god you're about to pray for somebody that's in a serious situation you set your heart to pray for them it's not something just off the cuff it's not something you set your heart i want you to set your heart right now just to minister to the lord and to be ministered to by the lord we just do that right now we just close your eyes with me for just a moment and say father i want to thank you for your presence that's in this place and tonight what we do lord is we expect that your holy spirit's going to do in us what needs to be done lord minister to our hearts on every level tonight i pray strengthen encourage and bless every single individual that's in this place and lord we give you praise and glory for it and everybody say amen can everybody say amen now listen to what we're going to do tonight right after service we're gonna go back over and eat you know that's a beautiful thing about church you go to church and go eat and then you go to church and then you go eat it's just like something that's that's what you're supposed to do in church amen and i i think and then we're going to have in the morning there's going to be at nine o'clock there's going to be 9 30 there's going to be an ordination service and those of you that have signed up for that and if you have not please see brother mccorkle after service this evening we will get you instructed and helped with whatever and that's going to be 9 30 and then at 10 o'clock we're going to have a wonderful service that's going to be great and that'll be the closing no service tomorrow night and this is going to be something i think that you will go home now we just need to take a moment i just want to pray for ted and jenny estes they need a touch from the holy spirit today upon their life and their ministry everything about them in jesus name jesus feel like we just take just a moment just receive that just receive that in the name of the lord in the name of the lord oh hallelujah father i want to thank you today for your word i want to thank you lord for the power of the holy spirit that is in this place to do mighty works in our lives we believe lord we we are people of faith we are people we are people who believe god i believe i believe and i receive in the name of my precious lord and savior jesus and everybody say amen thank you lord jesus you can go ahead and be seated for a few moments i know i know you've been standing a long time and this has been a long day during these conferences is the choir going to sing some more because i do make you stand until we do wow whatever i want see i can't take that kind of pressure angie what do i want it's the truth oh yeah thank you lord jesus thank you lord jesus okay i'll tell you what let's do let's go they're going to sing for our offering so why don't we do this let's let's bless the lord with our giving tonight [Music] and i just want to say thank you for your generosity thank you for thank you for believing in this event uh that's really all we can just ask is this that you give according to your faith and set your heart with us i do promise you this everything that you do and it's not really the dollars not really this the seed faith is the seed really if you get down to it but as you release your faith toward this conference um god always provides miracles and i want to thank you for being a part of that thank you for loving this uh some of you are new and we just welcome you to the family and we just this is really it's just kind of a family church thing i don't even know how to describe it but we just get together to have church but it is expensive and you know what is uh so i'm just asking you just to pray just say god what do you want me to do would you do that right now just close your eyes with us for just a moment and just a prayer between you and the lord and just simply say lord i have an opportunity i know what this deliverance temple conference has meant to me or to those that are around me and i lord i'm just asking you show me what you want me to do in the area of my giving tonight thank you lord and if you just you just speak to my heart i'll be obedient uh what mary said whatever he says to you do it that's that's what i want to follow the father i'm just asking you show me what my part is show me what you want me to do in regard to this giving tonight well father i just want to say thank you for our family that's come from all over the place and i want to thank you lord as i set myself in agreement with them that all of our needs are met and we trust in you heaven's supply is more much more than our lack or need could ever be ever ever lord you are abundant and gracious you are lavish in your care for us and i thank you for meeting our needs and we just we just pray that you would bless the faith of every person in here right now in jesus name amen now if you want to give electronically they have it set up back in the back where you can go do that you write a check make it to dti okay it's good to see you chris has been trish has been part of our family for so long and he had to go be a big shot for a little while and we got him back tonight and so it's so good to see you guys i mean that we are glad that you're here tonight we've got some exciting things that are going to be planned and i'm just going to ask that you just kind of set your heart thank you for being so faithful in all of your giving and all the things that you've done just before tony comes i just would like to acknowledge a couple of people jordan and brooke dawson they're here they've taken dale and chris drains church in edmond oklahoma and i saw the we went to a conference at their place and and jordan i like you just come up right quick and just i just want you to come and just greet everyone just just say hey and welcome i know you're caught off guard but come on get over yourself and come on i love this guy they're new to to this group and and uh boy i wish i looked as good as he did love you man okay see i got retired pastors in my church and every time i give them a microphone they take 20 minutes so i'll try not to do that but uh it's it's such a blessing to be here and my wife and i are just so appreciative and humbled and honored by all the love and and that we've gotten from everybody and and uh first time here and we just love it here and and that was a great message today and uh you know it reminded me if is it okay if i do what they do to me in my church and just speak a little bit just do it you know i'm a navy man don't hold that against me but when he was speaking that message i was on an aircraft carrier one of the largest battle groups seen since world war ii and it was the uss john c stennis and i didn't know how to tie a knot but i was a naval air crewman and on that aircraft carrier we're coming up to a big storm and so they said we got 80 aircraft we needed to lock down we had 6 000 people on board but they said we got to leave the battle group because they can't go through this big storm but we can the waves were so high i don't know if you've ever seen an aircraft carrier but the waves would get 50 to 70 feet tall and would go over the top of the flight deck i had to see it they said nobody can go out there i'm never good i'm listening i always took someone i knew with me if i'm gonna get in trouble i gotta go down with somebody else and we opened up that side door that watertight door and we opened it up and that wave just took us back we shut that door and went back inside but when he spoke that message today god reminded me that as believers we were built to go through the storm there's not there's a lot of boats out there we had over 20 battleships in our group made of steel lots of it but there was only one ship that could go through the storm and we went through that storm because we had to get somewhere we had to get to the other side because on the other side were some troops that needed some air support there's no shame in saying i need some support it might be you and there was a man i met when we invaded a rock he was in front of the convoy when they crossed the bridge in the euphrates and they attacked with rpgs i didn't know it but i was one of two helicopters that came in and we provide air support so they could get to safety because the convoy all stopped we had to get the convoy moving but the ambush was so intense that he needed support and i met him in houston and he says thank you so much i said it wasn't me somebody else sent me somebody else sent me when the call for support comes in somebody's gonna send you somebody's gonna send you your ship is made to go through the storm because god's gonna send you to support someone else that's awesome yeah [Applause] wow what a great word what a great word man i need to hear that again i'll tell you right now what a great word what a great church a pastor in edmond oklahoma dale and chris drain have just been my goodness uh friends of ours for a long time and uh brother dale would you come just say something i've got a couple people i'm wanting to have but i just i just feel like i'd like you to come say something this is uh come on don't don't complain come on i love this guy he is as close to brother mccorkle as anyone i've ever met they were kind of from the same cloth you can't trust either one of them they're they're they no they're hustlers what do you think you think i did good finding that boy he's a yeah he's a keeper all right and i can i take as long as he took we'll start and i'll pull you all right i don't know if i can do this without crying but i want to thank all of you for praying for my baby girl i know all over the world people was praying for and we knew she was very ill so we took her to the edmond hospital and they saw what condition she was in and they put her in an ambulance and took her right down to o.u medical in oklahoma city and they told us your baby's not doing good matter of fact the doctor looked me in the eye and said she's gonna die if we don't get something done and her liver had completely quit and you know you can't live without your heart or your liver and so her mother and i we've seen miracles all over the world we've seen blind eyes open and about anything you could think of but you know when it comes down to your own say that's a different thing and so we went to the hospital every day and we stayed all day and we prayed and on the fifth day of july they told us we found a liver but it's got hepatitis c in it and we can cure that but i told my wife i said you know the lord spoke to me and she told me that was he told me that was our ishmael and so we waited and cried and thought my goodness what are we going to do the next day they called us and said we found a good liver we found a good one on the seventh day of the seventh month of 2021 which is three times seven they put a good liver in my baby [Applause] and my baby's alive and she's sitting right back there but i praise god i can't praise him enough i can't praise him enough i can't praise him enough because he's my god he's my god [Applause] he's my god he's your god he's my god and god will do it for you if you just give him a chance he'll do it for you hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah well i didn't cry too bad well i've had a little practice yes you have oh how wonderful how wonderful miracles signs and wonders that's what we need to be believing for can somebody say amen thank you lord jesus you know there's several people that that i'd like to recognize we're going to have service tomorrow we'll do a lot more of that uh just a moment i want to have brother tony come but jerry and jamie from mahaya i had to have them spell it i couldn't figure my hail was is that in the united states and i i started to make fun of them but then i realized i was from cunning so brother come up here just creed everyone i just appreciate love this this family what a great family thank you pastor what a what a great what a great week it's been so far and all the things that that we've seen and we've heard and we saw god do and i've talked my wife and i were talking before we even came here and before we came this week this is our third year at dti and it's a weird turn of events how we became connected with pastor edmund but i'm so glad we did in the last two years we've come looking for an answer and last year god gave us our answer and i was thinking today i was thinking actually i was thinking just earlier today in john chapter 4 the bible tells a story about a jesus came and he met with a woman at a well and he told her give me some water she said well i'm a samaritan you're jew you don't have anything to do with us we don't have anything to do with you and she had missed the point jesus was getting ready to do something in her life that would change her eternity but in order for her to do that she had to do what we had to do last year she had to get to a place where there was an obstacle standing between her and living water and jesus told her if you want what's on the other side of this you're going to have to push the rock and if i could tell you anything what we had to learn last year is what some of you may be having to learn this year is that whatever jesus has promised you sometimes you're gonna have to do something on your own move just a little bit further if i was a real preacher i would tell you to push the rock if if if there was anything i could encourage you to do something that i've learned from coming here the last two years is that when god has made you a promise there will be an obstacle between you and the promise but if you will make up your mind that whatever is in the way of between whatever is coming between me and the promise god has given me i will push the rock out of the way i think you'll receive your promise i think you'll receive your promise tonight i i don't think it'll be a year i think it'll be tonight and pastor edmund i thank you for pouring into us and taking those crazy phone calls about youth ages and dumb stuff that you should have never had to be involved in and i so appreciate it i've made several friends here made acquaintances here and i hope to get to meet more of you over the next i don't know 100 or so years before the lord returns but i thank you pastor for inviting us thank you all for accepting us and shaking our hands when we didn't even know most of you and i just i just appreciate you i'm glad to be here it's good to have my friends from colleen here that's just dave in the dean scoggins uh we love you guys we appreciate you greg before tony comes could you could you pull something out of the hat for us i would just appreciate it i tell you i i cannot express to you how much i have appreciated uh this fine fine man uh what a blessing he has been to us greg would you give him a hand of appreciation thank you pastor i think what we're talking about here tonight is the faithfulness of god is this on all right i want you to know tonight god has never left us he's never forsaken us he's always been there a man and i wrote a song a few years back that repetitious melody it's one of those smooth jazz songs it has about six notes in it and they just repeat and i was listening to it and i i began to think what what am i gonna call this and i began to remember the time and time again god has been there for us time and time again [Music] when we need him when we call on him he's there so this is time and again [Music] happening [Music] hmm [Music] hey [Music] uh [Music] hey [Music] hey ah [Music] ah [Music] uh [Music] uh [Music] uh [Music] um there be sure and visit that i think it will be a tremendous blessing to them well i want everyone to stand with me tony and christie swillam are here uh tony we're so glad you're here uh we're all in need and we want you to minister to us and uh i know that god's anointed you for that right now come right on up with you brother and i so much appreciate him from aurora missouri he has freedom center there and i'm just going to tell you something it's a incredible work that he has going he has just touched so many people and just rescued people that were seriously in trouble and uh their lives were just basically thrown away and uh tony was one of those ships that went out there and went through the storm and got him and drug him back and i'm just telling you uh he is a tremendous tremendous blessing so would you give tony swillam a hand of appreciation [Applause] thank you so much hello [Music] uh that is okay thank you so much what an honor it is to be here this evening very intimidated to be here in pastor jerry's church he came to our church he's a man filled with so much love and talent and he comes to our church and he can preach without notes he sings he plays the piano and while he is singing playing the piano he draws a picture of me during the service how do you compete with that and then hearing the other men coming up and sharing this evening just it was a great word that really going along with what god has laid on my heart i'm a very simple man and but i also want to give honor where honor is due to brother mccorkle because as great as brother jerry is you mentored him so apparently he got your anointing and i thank you and i thank you for starting this conference because ministers need a place to come and relax and be fed and my wife and i showed up here sunday morning and it was the we think it was the first sunday morning in over 10 years that we actually sat in a sunday morning service without ministering and it was the weirdest feeling and we just got to sit and observe how everything was happening and it was a wonderful experience and i want to introduce my wife christy would you stand up this is my wife of 33 years high school sweethearts i met her when she was a freshman in high school fell immediately in love with her so we dated for four years before we got married may of 1988 was a phenomenal best month of my life it was the month that my birthday was on may 3rd we went to prom together she graduated as valedictorian and then we got married all in the same month but she's also a woman that drove me crazy she broke up with me four times in four years and the last time she broke up with me i was so devastated so heartbroken and angry that i put my motorcycle in the back of my truck and i drove to chicago to where my nanolulu lived and i had relatives because our whole family's from chicago and my mom said what are you doing and i said i'm done with her i'll never talk to her again i'm starting a new life and my mom was like don't do this you're you're reacting out of emotions and i was angry and i drove all the way to chicago moved in with my honolulu my italian side of the family went to work for my uncle tom and i was free of christy baldwin and six weeks later she called my nana's house i don't even know how she got the number i answered the phone she said tony said yes you know because i'm never going back and she said i'm sorry i love you and i said i'll be there in the morning i loaded everything up drove all the way back to missouri and we were married shortly after that so over the course of 33 years of marriage we uh man we have four beautiful children and uh god has blessed us with kids that never gave us problems always served in the ministry my youngest daughter works with us on staff she's part of our worship team and my youngest son runs our dream center my oldest daughter is part of her church or with her husband she's children's pastor been blessed with my oldest son to have him work side by side with us in ministry i've been blessed to have two sons that were incredibly talented and uh in sports in high school all state athletes and two sports baseball and football went on to play college football my oldest son set all kinds of records at eu university in springfield and my youngest son became a first team all-american broke all kinds of records so for night we had nine years of traveling watching college football every friday night we were driving somewhere for a saturday game and then driving seemed like all night long to come back and preach and we missed those days but i can tell you this involving our children in ministry changed their lives i never preached adam and i never preached to them i loved them and i brought them side by side with me in ministry and they learned how to love people see i've been in full-time ministry for 28 years i was a youth pastor for several years and started our church freedom christian center 21 years ago we started in a little building in a cul-de-sac in mount vernon and we outgrew it in two years we found an abandoned building way out in the country on five acres and we purchased that piece of property we remodeled it it was a miracle how we did it so there we had a little church that seated 200 people on five acres that small building we ended up putting an addition onto it building a sanctuary that seats eight hundred we started a program called the dream center it was always a vision in my heart and my wife's heart to help the broken the needy the messed up the addicted the people that other churches didn't want those were the churches those were the people i wanted for three and a half years we pastored i was assembly god ordained assembly god pastor and we had a church downtown st louis in the inner city and here we were my wife and i had three kids at the time for three and a half years we had an all-black congregation we started out with 32 all-white people in an all-black neighborhood and i said there's something wrong and so in one month everybody who voted me in left the church and we built a new church from the people in this in the neighborhoods we brought in the crack addicts the prostitutes and when i say stuff like this i'm not exaggerating when i say this but on the back row of the service every sunday morning there was a whole row of transvestite prostitutes because i would go out and i would minister to those people and i'd just love them and accept them and they would look at me and say we would never be accepted at your church and i said you just come to our church and you see if you're not and i'd love on them and love on them and watch them get saved and watch them change how they dress change their way of life it was just a matter of loving the hurting so when we started our church 21 years ago in aurora and we moved to this location we started remodeling and we started growing it was a 2005 that we started the dream center it started out with one back room in our church and we had women at that time as only women my mother and my aunt came on staff and we just started ministering to this group and then we grew into men also and here about eight months ago i finally we dismembered the women's dream center because we had so many men we couldn't keep the men and women apart i even bought them a farm seven miles out of town so there'd be no contact and we still couldn't keep them apart i could tell you stories about things that have happened in our church that i'll promise has not happened here and we continue to grow and now we have all men and we have a great group of guys who are just on fire because we are the freedom dream center really we don't call it a rehab i really get mad if somebody says well he has a rehab it's not a rehab it's a school of ministry we don't teach anything different to the homeless drug addict that walks in that i wouldn't teach to an 18 year old that said i'm going into ministry we teach nothing different we teach them the gospel of jesus christ because it is the power unto salvation so our church is very unique and we started doing some other things and we have a big cowboy ministry called freedom arena and so we built this state-of-the-art arena and we put a roof over the top of it the roof is bigger than a football field it's all led lighting on the inside i mean it is just incredible and we do events throughout the entire summer big ropings barrel races rodeos we have church events out there concerts all kinds of things but we built this and you say well why would a church build a rodeo arena like that well we call it the worm because it was baked to get all the cowboys in see we play no secular music we only play christian music i pray my heart out before every event we minister to every person that comes there and now we have some of those families they're attending our church and even if they don't attend the church when something goes wrong in their life i'm their pastor i don't even realize that i'm their past but i'm their pastor then our ministry continued to grow and we got into the business world side of things because there was a need see we feed 1400 meals every week been doing this for years 1500 meals 14 1500 meals every week that's what we feed so a butcher shop just a half a mile down the country road from us came up for sale and walk in freezers and everything and i thought i want to buy that we didn't have the money and i'm going to be truthful with you everything that we have nothing did we ever have the money for never did we walked by faith and not by sight we call things that were not as though they were and i mentioned on a sunday morning i said hey the butcher shop is for sale down the road you know what we need to buy that in a man in the church that just started coming to the church hadn't been there very long i didn't know him very well he said you want to buy that butcher shop i said yeah but we don't have the money he said i do he said how much they want for it i said 200 000. he goes well go buy it and so he paid for the whole thing just paid for it then our bit then [Applause] this is the way god works and i want to explain some things tonight and i'm praying because because i feel like god put on my heart that i'm supposed to stir some of you up you've been sitting in the refrigerator too long that bottle of ketchup and nothing worse i mean i shake the ketchup bottle every time i do man because the one time squirting that watery stuff on my hot dog just messes up my brain man nobody wants ketchup that's not stirred up and the kingdom of god can't use you if you're not stirred up and there comes a time when god calls us to a place to where he stirs us up and there are things in our lives that we will never understand why they are happening i mean why would the children of israel be delivered to be set free and be going to cross the red sea i mean have you ever really just thought about some of these stories they were going towards the red sea they couldn't cross it anyways they didn't have no boats or no ships they were going to a dead end and then why would god allow pharaoh and his army to come up behind him and then to kill him you know i'll tell you why would god allow some things because sometimes god does some things in our lives that pushes us so that we go to the place where we could see a miracle happen so don't discount the hard things that are that have gone on in your life don't curse god because your life hasn't been great in roses stand firm that god has allowed certain things to happen to us because he's trying to get us to the other side so we have this butcher shop and it's great we train all of our guys they work there in the afternoons and it's just it's been an incredible ministry i mean it is we invented our own meatballs they're called the italian cowboy meatballs and there's a guy named luigi and luigi comes in on the saturdays and he makes all the meatballs and we put the meatballs into i'm luigi by the way i know this guy was going wow a real italian comes up i am luigi and we invented some of these different products where you come and you just thaw out the meat you make the balls any size that you want some people like little balls some people like a bigger bulls and then you bake them at 375 for 40 minutes and they are the greatest we just sell out of them continually and our business is just god has just blessed it and so we started another business so we have freedom arena that raises a lot of money for our program then we have legacy meets and then we started a welding business legacy metal works and we make all these and we invented a new mineral feeder the way that you can haul it and things that you can do with it and use it in the fields for farmers and it just went crazy and we have big stores like race brothers and all of our local feed stores they're selling all of our stuff they buy all of our gates and on everything that we make we have a tag on it that's about this big and it says john 3 16 everything that we make goes out with the gospel of jesus christ we started our church with just five acres and we've got over 300 acres now we've got an active working cattle ranch and our our guys working on the cattle ranch some work at the welding shop and they become certified welders um the guys that work at the butcher shop they become butchers you can't believe especially in this day and age nobody wants to work all the grocery stores hire all of our guys every week people are calling me saying hey do you have somebody at your butcher shop that's graduate the program we need some help and every one of them get jobs it's the most unbelievable thing so we don't only teach the gospel but we teach them how to live in life then we started a new ministry in colorado and a little less than a year ago almost one year right now we we bought land and property and a home in colorado in a small town of cotopaxi it's called freedom in the rockies and it's the house is 9 100 feet up you look at the san diego de cristo mountains which means the blood of christ and it's it's like you're living at yellowstone there's bears coming through the property mule deer everywhere you're just up there alone and we're building a retreat center up there so that we could take our dream center men out there for just intimate times of healing i know it sounds crazy we got some pictures we've got some pictures and i don't know the order of these pictures that's our that's our sunday morning service right there what it looks like that was just last week go to the next one that's a sunday morning right there all to call that was two sundays ago that's one of our graduates that's just right that's my youngest son all the way in the back and two more of our staff members that's on a graduation sunday we've had justin for two and a half years two and a half years he was um diagnosed schizophrenic he had all just all kinds of issues we have worked with him for two and a half years he came to the place to where he graduated from the program and now he works at the butcher shop and matter of fact he got another job and it's just an incredible thing what guys do in his life next pictures stewart he's our head butcher at the butcher shop the picture on the left is the day i picked him up out of jail out of lawrence county jail picked him up kid weighed about 140 pounds was a severe meth addict the little picture on the right is stewart graduating the girl on the ride is kim she's our secretary she i went to school with her severe alcoholic had nine brain surgeries she came into our program was healed delivered saved set free now works at the church you can go on that's dez right there and that's my son on the left but that's dez he's one of our head butchers i was just talking to him before i came here dez has got one of the most incredible stories that you'll ever hear des was one year old being held by his mother he come from a mixed marriage and his mother was holding him and his father came home and he was out of his mind on drugs him and his mother had been fighting he and his wife had been fighting and he pulled out a gun and while he was while she was holding him rocking him he shot her in the head and killed her dez was put into the foster program then eventually adopted by some of his family he went through all kinds of different racial kinds of things in his life built up this tremendous amount of anger i had this for two years if you if he was here tonight he is the most gentle soul that you will ever meet he has this beautiful wife and this little daughter named jane and jane is so special to me one sunday we dismiss our kids like you guys do and one sunday all of our kids came up to the front and i was standing at the pulpit and i was looking down from the stage and jane was looking at me and i just winked at her i didn't i didn't know that a three-year-old could wink back she looked up she goes she winked back and i started crying because i couldn't believe what this little girl was doing and experiencing with god and i'm looking at her father and her mother that god had saved delivered and healed and restored and this man now is one of our hardest workers that we've ever had he has a new life you can't recognize who dez is then we'll go on to the next picture hey that kid right there he's a full-time youth pastor we have nine of our graduates are in full-time ministry now this is ashley ashley and dan both graduates from the dream center they met got married ashley was one of the worst drug addicts she ever met worked with her for a year and a half she lived and stayed in our program she graduated she heads up our food pantry she heads up all of our impoverished ministries that we do in the inner city of of aurora and it's just incredible woman of god would you take that look at her well when that seen that picture of her and how does an 18 year old girl wake up in the morning looking for her husband that she had two children with while she was in high school and find that he had killed himself and hung himself in the garage and then her children get taken from her because of her addiction and are raised by other people and she comes into a program listen i'm telling you only jesus can change these lives only jesus can do this and dan her husband if you go back to that picture of dan dan is in a band called bread for war matter of fact he's in illinois this weekend i was just talking to him and dan graduated the program eight years ago where they brought dan to us he was so drunk when they brought him into my office that he was sitting there and i knew he's not comprehending anything that i'm saying to him and all of a sudden dan passes out goes face first on my carpet full on on our on my carpet and urinates everywhere that's dan now dan leads people into the kingdom of god every week he's one of the greatest soul winners you will ever meet you can go on that's just a sunday morning oh that's a in class of our dream center students just praying for each other man that kid 16 years old his mother graduated from the program he got all messed up he was going through all kinds of stuff in his life he was being molested by his neighbor for two years without anybody knowing it because the neighbor said he'd kill him and his mother if he ever told anybody so it's psychologically damaged him to the point to where he had multiple twitches multiple things going on in his life they shipped him up to us we had to take custody of them legally to put him in high school and that's right there he's doing his homeschooling this just a few days ago we took this picture my son actually dominic who works with the dream center actually said hey i'll take this kid and help raise him and you can't believe the transformation that this kid has had it's incredible go to the next picture uh that's just our that's just our dream center men at our other campus that's the arena when i say it's arena with a roof that's bigger than a football field it's bigger than a football field you can go to the next one go to the next one that's inside the arena so that's at a roping that we had not too long ago you can go to the next one that's my daughter carly barrel racing there at freedom marina that's inside the butcher shop if you can't guess what that is hope there's no vegans here tonight there's one of our guys cat who works with us graduate the program doing our brisket we'll go on we'll see what else we have here that's at the welding shop where our welders now get certified let's go on they're loading up a big truckload that was going to a big farm place let's go on well that's shane he graduates in a month you kind of get the picture of what we do all right in 21 years we got stirred up see to get stirred up means that you feel a strong emotion and a desire to do something you know if you were to say well pastor tony how did you you know come upon these things how did you do these things passion for people and passion for god i mean isn't really ministry simple i mean we over complicate some things so much and i know tonight that god is going to do some things especially some of you ministers some of you pastors to kind of expand your thinking because building the kingdom of god is not about building a church congregation it's so much beyond that what we're doing tonight this is these are the things that you put away to the side this is not high on the priority list in the sanctuary preaching the gospel motivating the people this is great don't get me wrong don't take anything that i'm saying wrong but the most powerful ministry that we have is when we go to a lost and dying world and we reach those that are on the brink of hell and have no hope in their lives man i define my life in the simplest of terms when it comes to ministry be a soul winner and make disciples be a soul winner make disciples yet i know that these two things sound really simple yet they require so much see to be a soul winner requires me to compete or fight for someone's soul it's a competition between me and the god of this world and i have all these weapons that god has given me and don't get me wrong say oh god to give god the glory i'm giving god the glory but god gives us the weapons and expects us to use them i teach something in our church every service every time i preach called the big six i always talk about the big six and i said listen these big six things they won't save you but they'll keep you safe stay in your word every day and i'm not talking about reading a devotional i'm talking about study the word of god every day ministers of the gospel i want to encourage you don't study just for your sermons study for your personal life grow into the image of christ you got to gain the mind of christ and you get it through the word of god and then you got to pray don't tell me you're too busy to pray man i run several businesses plus a church plus a dream center and i find time to pray and get alone with god the third thing i tell them you gotta do is you just gotta give tithe give to the poor give to the needy the fourth thing is get plugged in get plugged in in your church you gotta find a place a vacuum cleaner does no sucking of the dirt unless it gets plugged in then you got to choose your friends carefully bad company corrupts good character so i tell all of our dream center students in our church all the time see listen our church is different nobody ever wears a tie to our church never matter of fact if you were to wear a tie to our church somebody will walk up to you and ask you to remove the tie that's just what we do the reason is is because we don't dress like the first baptist church nothing against the first baptist church a bunch of great people who love god but when you're coming off the streets you don't feel welcome in that kind of environment and so we've dressed so far down so people can feel welcome so choose your friends carefully and then evangelize tell people about jesus these things won't save you but they sure will keep you safe we have a motto in our church when it comes to our dream center and everything that we do love first teach second love first teach second it's all about relationships i mean just what it is man what we do with our men we work every day at our church having a dream center is like having a dairy farm those cows have to be milked you have to get up in the morning because they have to be fed it's not a matter of you know maybe i'll take today off or maybe i won't no you can't sometimes i feel like a zookeeper with a bunch of wild animals man but i'll tell you there's nothing like going in there early in the morning and walking through the dorms and seeing all these ex-drug addicts ex-convicts ex-felons seeing guys they're walking around the hallways i get a kick out of it because when they release them out of jails they always give them their jail sandals and that's all the sandals all the guys are walking around wearing orange jail sandals and i just think that's the greatest thing half of our guys have ankle monitors i think that is awesome i love taking my guys to walmart i love taking my guys to a movie i love taking them out to eat and when we walk in people notice oh my gosh look at all those ankle monitors and it's like the red sea it just kind of parts ankle monitors sometimes they forget to charge them up and they come to sunday morning they start buzzing during the service alarm is going off yesterday my wife and i were driving around we were looking at things in austin and this word just came into my mind organic and synthetic i said god what are you talking about he said tomorrow you're going to talk about you're going to build an organic church or you're going to have a synthetic church you see the word organic is defined as relating to or obtained by living things synthetic is something that's made to imitate a natural product see the church that grows organically simply does what the bible says the synthetic church works to look like the organic church but lacks the long-term substance the organic church is always finding ways to minister to the poor and to the needy while the synthetic church is always working on their service presentation their lighting their sound you know their little signs got all the best looking people in the church standing outside home welcome we love you you're part of the family i have nothing against those little signs man but there's a difference between building a kingdom and building a crowd and when we spend more time orchestrating our service and making sure that our timer that the service gets over at the right exact a time and that everything flows because you know all of our churches now they want to have multiple services so we heard cattle in we heard cattle out we heard a new group in and we had to do this this this how does the holy spirit operate in the lives of people so if you look at our budget you find out where does freedom christian center spend their money you'll find out where we spend it we spend it on the poor and we spend it on the needy man the holy spirit gives us the best services there are i don't want to do something on a sunday morning or a wednesday night or a sunday night that takes rehearsal listen there's nothing wrong with some of these things but we need to stop trying to build that crowd and start start working hard to build people see the organic kingdom building church fights for those who have lost their fight they fight for the underdog they fight for the broken they fight for the hurting they fight for the addicted we become that church in matthew 11 12 and from the days of john the baptist until now the kingdom of god suffers violent and the violent take it by force and i've got news for you if you've never worked with the addicted if you've never worked with the suicidal with the schizophrenic the mentally ill those who are man those who are just on the brink of wanting to give up everything in life i'm gonna tell you something you gotta fight for them because the devil doesn't just let them go you've got to go punch him in his face and rip him out of his arms man when i look at my staff my staff were so screwed up our secretary nine brain surgeries made a huge alcoholic lost her children in her alcoholism the guy who helps assist in running an entire dream center one of my right hand guy right hand man his name is tony rappard i've been ministering this cat for 15 years the last five years he's been so on fire for god that i had to have him on staff but he was the biggest drug dealer in all of lawrence county a little guy about this big he's got gold teeth spent years in prison got eight children this is not the guy that you hire on staff man but when it comes to people he's a warrior see i like to surround myself with ears i mean i like to surround myself with men who have come out of darkness and they know what's in the darkness so they have no fear to go back into it and drag somebody out in this fight that we're in it only ends when we die let me give you my text joel 3 9-10 proclaim this among the nations prepare for holy war stir up the warriors have all the soldiers come forward have them come up beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears let the weak man say i am strong listen there comes a time when you have to take what you have and who you are and turn it into a weapon and stop using it as a crutch that's original pt right there i want to show you something that's incredibly interesting to me because jesus was always quoting from isaiah he loved isaiah but isaiah the second chapter the fourth verse says this they shall beat their swords into plowed chairs and their spears in the pruning hooks and when i read that i said what no man i'm beating my plow into a sword but isaiah says the direct opposite and then we find this again in micah the fourth chapter they shall beat their swords of the plowshares and their spears and the pruning hooks it's interesting to me that isaiah and micah are talking about a time of peace taking your weapons of war and turning them into something for a harvest yet in joel and it's also interesting to me that jesus is always quoting from isaiah yet when on the day of pentecost 120 in the upper room they're baptized with fire and they come out and peter starts preaching he does a quote from isaiah and he doesn't quote from micah he quotes from the book of joel you see what joel's doing is joel is declaring war have you declared war i mean really have you declared war have you stood in the p patch like shama one of david's mighty men with a sword on your hip with everybody looking at you going hey shaman why do you have a sword because this year they're not taking the peas and i feel like in my spirit there's some of you been kicked around for years and you need to stop doing the same thing over and over with your plow and you need to turn it into a sword and say this year he's not taking my finances he's not taking my family he's not taking my children so here's peter on the day of pentecost and i love this but this is what has been spoken through the prophet joel and it shall be in the last days god says that i will pour out my spirit on all mankind and your sons and daughters they will prophesy remember this word prophesy and your young men will see visions and your old men will have dreams and even on my male and female servants i will pour out my spirit in those days and they will prophesy eight weeks ago i was at a minister's conference independent assemblies and a man by the name of mark maynard was preaching the opening service and i've never heard him before never met him and so i'm listening to him and he says i'm going to preach out of ezekiel 37 and immediately i was like oh gosh ezekiel 37 i got that memorized man i want something fresh go find the hidden scrolls of hezekiah and give me something that i've never heard and he starts preaching from ezekiel 37 and he's reading this passage of scripture we all know this the hand of the lord was upon me and he brought me out by the spirit of the lord he sent me down and in verse three he said to me son of man can these bones live and i answered lord god only you know yourself and again he said prophesy over these bones you know the story most of you know this and this is what the lord god says these bones behold i am going to make breath enter you so you will come to life i will attach tendons on you make flesh grow back to you cover you with skin and put breath in you so that you may come to life and you will know that i am the lord and it says so i prophesied as i was commanded and as i prophesied there was a loud noise and behold a rattling and these bones came together bone to its bone and i looked and behold tendons were on them and flesh grew and skin covered them but there was no breath in them notice that when man deals with man things look good but they're not fulfilled in our dream center i recognize this because this is all we do we make disciples this is all we do we make disciples i mean our guys get up in the morning at 6 00 am they do their chores they get dressed they have breakfast at 7 a.m they have prayer at 7 30 a.m then they go into class at nine they're in classes till noon then we work in the afternoon until five and then they have evening classes this is all we do is make disciples and i have watched people change their behavior but not their heart and here in ezekiel man prophesies to the bones man speaks to the bones and it says that the bones come together and there is this great exceedingly great army that stands before them and what has happened is their heart hasn't changed yet they haven't been filled with the holy spirit they've changed in a way that you could see but there's not a true change and we have too many churches and too many people in the body of christ they look the part but they're not living the parks they know how to amen they know how to shout they know how to worship they know how to dance they give and they're man you look at me think these are the greatest christians yet they never lead anybody to the lord they never disciple people on their own they never reach a lost and dying world all they do is go to church and they think that's all it takes and my friend i got news for you you better wake up before the day of judgment and then it says in verse 9 then he said to me prophesy notice the first part prophesy to the bones notice that as they come together god says prophesy to the breath prophesy son of man to the breath the lord god says come from the four winds breath and breathe on these slain that they may come to life and the word prophesying is just generally just speaking into somebody's life the breath here is the holy spirit and you want the army to live and god gives instructions to ezekiel and he says listen you prophesy to the bones and they came together but now it's time to put an army into action prophesy to the holy spirit because the holy spirit is waiting for instructions from us when's the last time you ever prophesied to the breath when was the last time you prayed listen i'm going to give you a dangerous prayer right now that you better count the costs luke chapter 14. you better count the calls before you pray this because this can mess you up and mess your church up if you're a pastor you better have your heart in the game you better have your sword sharp you better already taken your plowshare and beat it into a sword you better have already taken your pruning hook and beat it into a spear because if you start saying this prayer one too many times you're gonna be in war for the rest of your life here it is holy spirit send in every drug addict from the north the south and the east and the west to our church holy spirit sending every person that's contemplating suicide from the north the south the east and the west holy spirit i send you forth to bring in every hurting girl who's cutting themselves every little boy that's been molested holy spirit i send you forth to bring in the most messed up mentally ill challenging people that there are in this area that nobody else will minister holy spirit bring them into this church let me tell you what happens the holy spirit doesn't get a whole lot of people that pray that prayer but you better hold on because he says all right you're going to get what you asked for and they start walking in the doors and they are messed up and they are hurting and they are manipulators and they are liars like some of the good looking people in the church aren't at least my guys have punched me in the face you guys have stabbed me in the back not you guys exactly thank you for having me you start praying that prayer god starts sending those people then all of a sudden you have a guy named donald in the program who's six foot five 260 pounds spent 14 years in prison was involved with hell's angels every drug cartel that you could possibly even possibly imagine his whole face is tattooed he's got five stars on his forehead a bullet this big tattooed on the side of his face and he's like well god i didn't say that guy then you get a phone call because this is the way dream center works you get a phone call 11 o'clock at night past tony we got a situation up here what's going on well we caught a couple guys breaking into the office what's going on well donald is doing this this this and this okay we've been having problems with donald for about a month so i called my son who benches 500 pounds and i called our staff member i said meet me up at the church we walk into my office and a couple of our good guys come and talk to us start filling us in on everything that's going on and my son looks at me says dad what are we gonna do this guy's whole life is violence i said let me take care of him so i reach on my wall and i grab my baseball bat i have a baseball bat in my office they had it made for me for my own protection so i pull off a baseball bat and i walk into the back dorms and donald sees me coming and i poke him in the chest with it and i said i'm the big dog here not you things are going to change around here and then you know what happened all of my dream center guys yeah that's right donald that's right and all of a sudden donald is surrounded by 39 other guys and donald falls down on his knees quivering now i'm not saying that to say that's you got to get a baseball bat in this kind of ministry but what i'm saying is this you start praying for those types of people you better be ready for them because god's going to send them and it's not just the big bad tough guys it's the broken guys it's the broken guys who never had a father who'd been molested had had a christmas for years been incarcerated prison and they just don't know how to live outside of prison they just don't know how they don't know how to live a sober life because their entire life from since the time that they were young teenagers they were involved in drugs gang activities all kinds of sexual immorality they don't know how to live those are the guys that you embrace and you love and what makes our program so different is we take them fishing we go out and see a movie we take them out to eat we build relationships and some friday nights my wife is just great at this she says pick out six or seven of the guys that are doing really really good let's have them over for dinner and watch a movie and so we just got done watching god's not dead barbecued for them all and they're all sitting in the living room and i'm sitting there and my wife and i are sitting on the love seat together watching this movie and i got seven men that are sitting on our couches and in our chairs and we're all watching this movie together i'm looking i'm going my gosh there's over 50 years of prison time sitting in my living room look at all the tattoos look at these guys these are guys that six months ago we would have never had into our house they would have came into our house without permission this is what god does this is what god does you have to prophesy to the breath it's a breath of god holy spirit fill these men change these men you see since that message that mark maynard preached in the last eight weeks i've been preaching the same series called breath of heaven and we've had over a hundred people baptized in the holy spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues people have been saved in every sunday morning service we've been baptizing like crazy it's been an absolute miracle one word from god can change your entire life change your church change your ministry one thing that i say tonight can change everything in your life jesus dies on the cross and he's raised from the dead and he appears to his disciples after the empty tomb and he disappearing together appearing with them he stands and jesus says to his disciples those who follow him peace be with you just as the father sent me i also said you and when he said this he breathed on them and he said receive the holy spirit man i save you tonight receive the holy spirit don't reject him don't deny him learn how to function with him learn how to minister to those who are hurting prophesy to those dry bones and tell them that they have hope that they will live have a place for them to come and just rest go find listen you can't prophesy to the bones until you go to the graveyard you got to go find the bones you say well where are they well they're in the trailer parks they're under the bridges they're in the crack houses you got to find where they're at they're in the jails they're in the prisons you got to find where they're at you got to go to the bones and prophesy listen they're just they just want somebody to speak into their life and for the first time say you can do this you have hope god has a plan for your life you are loved you don't have to live in that addiction but if you're going to beat your plowshare into a sword and you're pruning hook into a spear you better understand one thing that peace that's won by the sword has to be maintained by the sword that's why you have to continually stay in the fight what i love about our ministry is it keeps me in the fight yesterday why my wife is shopping i said hey i got to take a break i got to call a prosecuting attorney i got to call this this attorney for this guy we got to do this this and this today i'm on the phone and i'm talking about several of our men that have court cases that we have to go to court for to help them listen and our program isn't about keeping you out of jail keeping you out of prison getting you back with your wife getting you back with your kids that's not what the program is about the program is getting you into heaven and if we can get you on the road to heaven everything else just falls in line prepare for war stir up the warriors let the weak man say i am a warrior and i've been in full-time ministry for 28 years and i can tell you there have been times in my life that i have felt weak but years ago i got a revelation and i say this to myself when i start feeling a little weak when i feel like i'm getting beat up when i feel like i just want to quit i say this to myself i say i don't believe in burnout i know there's some of you going man you better believe it is true i don't believe in it because the same spirit that lives in me is the same spirit that raised christ from the dead and my jesus was hanging on a cross dying and still leading people into the kingdom of god so i am determined that no matter what i go through i'll still lead people into the kingdom of god and there's always going to be people that are going to come up with excuses about why they i don't have enough money we've never had enough money never have we had enough money money's never been the issue god has always just provided but he's never provided while i was in the boat it was always when i was getting out of the boat it was always when i felt like i was going to drown and everything was going to be lost that's when god provided because i never let those thoughts hinder what we were going to do you have no excuses i'm going to tell you something that i don't ever preach about four and a half years ago my wife and i we lost our oldest son who was our full-time youth pastor who was our worship leader who was an assistant baseball coach in the community and on december 20th 2016 we can't we don't know why he was just driving up he called me that morning and was driving up the driveway to my house and his heart just stopped and that was on my oldest daughter's birthday december 20th and we went through this whole he was married to the most beautiful woman who loved god lived right down the road from us the day after christmas i preached his funeral in our church and there were over 1100 people in the sanctuary standing there were 300 piled into the foyer and they turned away over 400 people the day after christmas and i stood on that stage and i preached my heart out and over a hundred people i gave an altar call and over a hundred people were born again and they still talk about that surface and he was the only person in mount vernon school history in mount vernon area that the city park they planted a tree is remembered so they put a big plaque there because he made such an inf he was such an influence in the school and they retired his number we live with this every day we live with god why didn't you turn this around and i've never used that as a crutch for something that i couldn't do matter of fact i beaded into a sword and i said i'll wake up every day and i will cast down as many demons as i can and i will lead as many men into the kingdom of god as i possibly can and i will not give in i will not surrender i will move forward and i've watched the pain in my wife and i watched the pain in my children and i never allowed it to stop me because every day i'm one day closer to seeing him man he loved god i mean really if he was going to pass it was the greatest time to because he was so on fire for god and i picked i had to go move his truck one day and my wife said get somebody else to do it you can't do it and i'd always say that he's my boy and i got into his truck 26 years old he looked really he looked like doing johnson the rock i wish i had a picture of him he benched like 520 pounds he was this incredible athlete and i got into his truck and i went to start it up and i s and i said to myself what was he listening to what was he listening to i was kind of nervous jerry i was kind of nervous i didn't want to hear country music i didn't want to hear something my kids had never listened to secular music never have but i was scared a little bit and i started up the truck and the radio came on and rita springer was singing in christ alone and it was turned way up i thought man and so when thomas buckley came down and did the service for us with with me he did the music and the first song that he did was in christ alone and a thousand people stood up as we started praising god and i'm telling you i never felt the presence of god like that and it was literally like i've seen heaven open up and i can't tell you that we still don't cry every day that we don't think about him every day that we don't have pain every day but you can't let the things that have happened into you in your life stop you from doing what god's called you to do you can't keep using those things as a crutch in your life see the organic church is the church that focuses on the poor and i have so much i'm going to wrap it down though proverbs 19 17 whoever is generous to the poor lends to the lord and he will repay him for his deeds man our ministry has been so blessed over the years because that's all we do is minister to the poor and the needy matter of fact it's a standing joke in our church that if you come in all dressed up i have nothing to say to you it's just the truth i don't know i don't know what it is but i'm drawn i'm drawn to the guy who just got done smoking a cigarette right before he walked in i'm drawn to the guy who pupils are this big i'm drawn to the guy who's got beer on his breath i'm drawn to the guy whose clothes are so dirty i'm drawn to the family that you could just tell their kids are not being taken care of because they don't have the resources i don't know why but i'm just drawn to them but i do know this whoever is generous to the poor lends to the lord and he will repay him for his deed arena was a big thing of my oldest sons and two weeks before everything happened with him i told stephen i said i want you to meet the builder here's how i want it built he's going to have to measure it out put out all the stakes tell him we're going to get started on this project and so my son he was great in rodeo roping and just calf roping everything and he was so excited that we were finally putting this giant massive roof on the arena and so we met with him and did all these things then everything happens and two weeks after everything happens a guy comes up to me and he says you should want to put a roof over that arena i said yeah he says well here pulls out his checkbook he says here's 50 000 to get it started tell me when you need more i'm telling you you minister to the poor and the needy god finds a way don't ask me if we have a savings we don't don't ask me how much money in the bank because i don't know because my wife will never tell me because if we did have a lot i would spend it immediately proverbs 22 9 says whoever has a bountiful or generous eye will be blessed for he shares his bread with the poor last year during we get blessed with so much food it's ridiculous i mean our dream center literally i mean we have a we have a full-time cook a chef our dream center is blessed with so their meals it is not like going into the normal program i mean all the farmers in the area every time when a cow breaks their leg or something happens they call us hey you want this cow and we say yeah we go out there and get it cut it all up into steaks i mean our guys eat like kings but we've always received miracles listen you can't say well i don't have it in our budget to be able to feed that many people no you don't have it in your budget because you never budgeted anything to feed that many people make the poor a necessity make the poor a priority and watch what god will do last year we gave out turkey baskets for thanksgiving and so our church we just we took up a couple of offerings and everybody started giving and my poor wife is just the task of going out and getting all the turkeys so she takes a couple people with him and they got a divide up and they go to all the walmarts that we buy all the walmarts in our area we buy every turkey out of every walmart i just felt sorry for people that couldn't get a turkey and we put them in these laundry baskets and they had potatoes and yams and vegetables and all this stuff and then any other thing that we could put in there that got this big basket and i'll never forget we advertised that hey we're giving away turkey baskets this time just come to the church our other campus in aurora it's at north towns where all the poor people live and my wife goes up there an hour before i do to start setting things up and all of a sudden she calls me she says get up here i said why you will not believe what is happening just get up here i said why she said please just come up here there are lines that are going all the way down the block around the block they're trying to get in i said you are kidding me she says no and i pull up and the line is 10 foot wide and it's going all the way down all the way down the block and then around the corner of the block and i'm sitting there going what are we gonna do and we gave out all of our turkey baskets and i'm watching all these impoverished people are walking out and the people of our church and our dream center students are just laying hands on every person as they're leaving and we're just praying over them and loving them i'm telling you you take care of the poor and you watch what god will do we didn't have it in our budget to buy 400 turkeys we just said we're going to go buy 400 turkeys proverbs 28 27 whoever gives to the poor will not want but he who hides his eyes will get will get many a curse proverbs 21 13 whoever closes his ear to the cry of the poor will himself cry out and it will not be answered galatians 2 10 says only they ask us to remember the poor and paul said that's the very thing i was eager to do i'm just going to skip down and come to well how can you leave out luke 4 18 the spirit of the lord is upon me because he's anointed me to preach the good news to the poor you ought to see our dream center christmas it's amazing my wife takes this upon herself and now we get all these donations people have been giving regularly the prosecuting attorney of our county the prosecuting attorney the guy who convicts the criminals and puts him in jail he comes out and gives us a thousand dollars every year so we can give gifts to our students it's the most amazing thing you've ever seen and so my wife always decorates our our be our sanctuary our our at our campus aurora she decorates it it looks like a winter wonderland and then for weeks before christmas we have these sign sheets and and all of our students fill them out and we we know their pant size their shoe size we know everything and then we put on their what is one special thing that you would like and we just we get this whole list and my wife for weeks starts shopping personally to get this stuff and they're all getting boots and shoes and underwear new bibles and we spend about a hundred and fifty dollars per every student and so on that day before right before christmas our christmas break we take all of our students out and we go out to eat usually we go to the rib crib all you can eat ribs on a tuesday night and last time we did that we actually shut down the entire restaurant they had to shut it down because we ate so many ribs and then we take him to a movie and then we take him to bass pro bass pro headquarters in springfield and they have no idea that all these things are going on and then we drive him back on the bus and my wife and i we get there early and they turn on the lights and we have other helpers and there's all these christmas lights and flashing and she puts down fake snow everywhere and then there's these chairs and they're all set up with this big tree and they got their name on them and they got piles of presents that are sitting at their chair and all of a sudden they come in i keep them in the hallway i say guys we got something for you we open up the doors and we say merry christmas we love you and they come and they find their chair and they sit down and you ought to watch these grown men start crying you ought to hear them say things like i haven't had a christmas for nine years i haven't had a christmas since i was 10. i haven't gotten to cr i can't remember the last christmas present i've ever gotten and they start opening up their gifts and they're just they're crying we're crying we're videoing and it's just something special that we do why because it's not a program and then my favorite scripture when it comes to the poor poorest this listen my beloved brothers has not god chosen as those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to those who he loves i'm going to tell you something i'll take the rich in faith over the financially rich rich every day of the week because these guys come in with nothing you know what they're doing right now yep they called me in my hotel room right before i was leaving and one of my staff members said hey pastor dream center guys are here and they want to know what time you're going to preach tonight and i said i said probably around 8. i said it could be any time around 8 and probably go anytime around 9 or 9 30. and i said why is that i said pastor all the guys got together and they said they want to be in the sanctuary praying for you while you're preaching heroin addicts meth addicts felons junkies the outcast are in a sanctuary right now while all the good church people the sunday morning church people are at home watching tv the outcasts are in the sanctuary praying for their pastor you better find some people that are out there in those streets that are rich in faith that don't have money because i'll tell you this they'll turn the kingdom of god upside down you know why you know why they have absolutely nothing to lose they have nothing to lose and everything to gain and i mean at this time i am coming to a close when you start ministering to these types of people don't worry about your success rate okay because building a church is like having a funnel in your hand you got to throw more people in the top that are always falling out because people are always falling out and there's nothing that we're going to ever do to stop it i've tried to get that spiritual plug i fasted pray said oh god please don't know there's just people that come in and turn into judas's they just do and there's people that lose their fire and there's people that get so easily offended because you didn't shake their hand listen i just did this in our church i said everybody who's been born again in our church i want you to stand up you've been born again a disciple in this church over 80 percent of our congregation stood up transfers hate our church you know why because i make him do stuff i tell him you're going to get involved if you don't get involved you get really uncomfortable in our church i have two groups of people that come to our church people who need ministry and people who want to minister and there is no in between you know what the in-between is called right lukewarm and you know what this is a ministry that's going to kick you in the guts this is a ministry that's going to wear you out at times this is a ministry you're going to pour your heart into people and then they're just going to walk away and they're going to blast you on facebook and everything else and it is okay because you know what even jesus's batting average was only 250. did you know that that was jesus's batting average jesus that was his batting average when it come to making disciples he only reached 25 out of a hundred you're all wondering where'd you get that from well it's in mark chapter four the sower sowed the seed and some of us fell beside the road and the birds came and ate it up then there was other that fell around the rocky ground you know what happened with it right didn't have great roots and it grew up and sun burns down then there were some that fell among the thorns and the thorns came out and choked it that's three out of three seeds that were planted by the sower himself and they didn't make it but then he said other seeds fell into good soil and they grew up and they increased you see only 25 percent of the seeds that jesus planted it went in this in the fertile ground and produce much fruit some 30 some 60 a hundred fold so listen pastors don't get down when they leave if you're batting over 250 you're doing better than jesus if 75 of the people that you're not reaching listen when i hear people all the time pastors all the time brag about their discipleship program and how everybody who goes through they are lying 25 percent is to go that's you know what 25 in golfer's term that's par that's par par is the number of strokes that a first class player should normally require in a particular hole 25 is par do you golf par yes i praise god he says he would i mean you got to think about this this is the business we're in is saving souls and making disciples and you can't live life always being discouraged because everything isn't going good you're missing you're messing with dysfunctional people how can you how can you minister to so many dysfunctional people and think that you're going to have a functional church if you have a functional church there is something wrong you do not have dysfunctional people when you bring in those who are messed up your church is going to be kind of messed up no matter what and you know they're going to do stupid things because they have no church etiquette just like i have no golf etiquette they have no church etiquette they walk in late they're wearing a wife-beater t-shirt that's all i know to call it and they're holding a 44-ounce coke that they just got they're walking in late and they got their coke and man they're looking around where they're going to sit and they're just sitting right in the middle of everybody then they spill their drink and they cuss right in the middle of the surface it's just dysfunction but it's beautiful oh it's beautiful man have you ever had somebody pass out on a sunday morning service because they're drunk they're hung over from the night before greatest thing that will ever happen to your church that's just our church that's just messed up dysfunctional people find a way to reach them take what you have and who you are and turn it into a weapon and not a crutch i don't know if the worship team wants to come up and start playing something in the background listen you don't have to tell me that i'm not a good preacher i already know it but i'm a great lover of people you don't have to you don't have to coddle me and you don't have to pat me on the head and rub my tummy and tell me i did good because i'm going back to missouri and i'm going to reach some more drug addicts and some more alcoholics and some more hurting people when i drive back into town i'm going to go up and i'm going to see my guys i'm going to say thank you for praying for me they're going to ask me how you did and i'm going to say i did okay i guess and i know i got a guy there that's waiting for me named chris chris is 27 years old i had him a few years back in the program chris got to using a lot of psychedelic drugs acid and different things and started burning up his brain and some people witnessed to him and they were a cult and they talked him into getting in their vehicle with them and going and living with them and he went and lived with these people and they called their themselves these fundamental kind of they were kind of amish mennonites but they were kooky and chris is this young man and chris is broken on the inside he's gone through the whole thing the regular stuff right the molestation the pain of divorce he's gone through all these things he's broken and he's hurting but he's reaching out for god and these drugs are in his system and he goes up to the bishop of this cult and he says i'm having this problem with lusting i don't know what to do i don't know what to do about it i want to be a christian i don't know what to do and the bishop looks at him and says well bible says that if your eye causes you to sin that it's better for you to pluck out your eye than to go to hell and the pastor of the bishop guy the wolf in sheep's clothing doesn't explain that to him and so he doesn't sleep for three days because he's being tormented with thoughts of going to hell because his mind is already messed up right and after three days with no sleep he goes completely out of his mind he goes into the woods he rips off a branch off a tree he takes literally a stick and he stabs himself in his right eye and he pulls his own eyeball out so he goes to the hospital has a hole in his head now he loses his eye when he gets out of the hospital he's you know one eye he stays there with those people and after a couple months he just he gets becomes furious that this man told him this that he did this and now he only has one eye and he's formed and you know the all these things now are going through his mind and so on a sunday morning he gets up early and takes 10 gallons of gasoline into the church and he pours the gas all around the church and likes the church and lights their church on fire and burns it down so now he get catches all these charges with arson and all these different things and he's sitting in the county jail for nine months county jail is worse than prison he's sitting in the county jail for nine months and the prosecuting attorney calls me and tells me the story and says think you can help this guy i said i don't know i need to meet him first and so they let me i go into the jail they put me in a private room and they bring this young man to me and there he is with escaping hole in his eye and after talking to him i said i can't help them i think jesus can and so they release them into my custody and this happens i get all these guys get released into my custody so i got this guy and i worked with him for two and a half years well he he's been out of the program for about five years now and he he got messed up again so he just came back into the program and i know right when i get there he's going to be waiting for me because every time i pull up he's just like he has a sixth sense he knows when pastor tony's coming and i'm gonna get out of my truck i'm gonna say how you doing chris doing okay and he'll say pastor will you pray for me i said yeah and then before you know this is my wife will tell you this when we if we're going somewhere and we have to stop by the church he always says don't get out or we'll never get out of here they're going to be waiting see and i look at them and i say these are the greatest men in the world because they are giant killers they are overcomers they have come out of the worst situations and they are serving god but i would never know the greatness of these men if we didn't go and find those dry bones and prophesy and so what i want tonight i don't know how to do this but it's time to beat your plowshares in the swords and you're pruning hooks into spears and it's time if you're feeling weak to say i am a warrior so god just gave me this word that if you're getting stirred up this evening just a little bit maybe god is bringing back a dream or a vision that you used to have or all of a sudden you're recognizing my life isn't over i've got to do something to build the kingdom of god have all the warriors come forward no not if you were a warrior you want to be a warrior you got to understand what kind of preacher i am man i'll give an altar call for salvation every time i preach and i'm not one of those guys that somebody has to get saved i just do what i'm called to do if you respond you respond if you don't that's up to you bow your heads with me father in the name of jesus i thank you for this word this evening i know i've gone long but thank you holy spirit move on the hearts of every person here tonight i know this is a minister's conference but i gotta ask this question maybe you've gotten away from god maybe you're drifted [Music] and i'm not asking if you've ever been saved i'm just saying maybe you just need to repent and get right with god because you've just gotten away and if you're here tonight maybe you're here first time guest never been to church and you just say i need to get saved tonight i need to make jesus lord of my life if you're here tonight and you need to get right with god i'm going to count to three and i just want you to put your hand in there and you put it right down one don't gamble with your eternity you can play and act like a christian but you know on the inside if there are things are wrong maybe you've gotten caught up in things of the world like pornography hidden sin nobody knows about it but you're here tonight and you say preacher i just need to get right with god i need god to forgive me my sins i promise i will never do anything to embarrass you but you'll never be a warrior until you take this first step of just getting right so if you're here tonight you say pastor that's me when i say three just put your hand in there and put it right back down too pastor that's me i see that hand [Music] who else just about just gonna get real and get right with god three put your hands in there there's another hand there's another hand another hand another hand now i'm going to ask you a question there's another hand now listen i'm not putting you on the spot that is not my intention but god's word says before jesus will ever can confess you before his heavenly father you have to be able to confess him and there is no better place than right here to get born again so if you raised your hand tone sit there saying oh no i don't want to come forward i don't listen if you don't have the cuts to come forward in an atmosphere like this you are not ever going to have the guts to get right with god here comes one right now if you need to get born again you need to get right with god you need to just get out of your seat come up here right now quickly quickly if you raised your hand don't mess with god you raised your hand because you knew you weren't right now you got to follow through with it come on come on they were more that raised their hands and i know what you're thinking i don't want nobody to know this there is no shame by being real with god listen i'm telling you this is what changes your life this is what this is what i'm telling you this is what turns you into a warrior here come more right now [Music] pastor jerry i don't know who they are but if you have some prayer warriors that know how to lead people in the kingdom of god just come on up here just get behind them [Music] all amazing inspiring word convicting word commissioning word what a great word tonight what a great word tonight you know i just really encourage a lot of you pastors to hook up with tony and take that take that relationship you know when god wants to bless you he sends someone your life when satan wants to curse you you send someone in your life but all the movement in your life comes to those relationships i just believe that uh tony's got some things that can stir your heart and vision and ministry god's got things for you this around this altar tonight this is so powerful thank you lord jesus thank you lord jesus and we're going to spend some time here we're going to pray for people as long as they need prayer those of you that want to go ahead and be dismissed and go next door you certainly can do that we're going to they have something to eat for you over there and they've also fellowship but i just we're just going to spend some time here we're just going to pray and those of
