Dream Symbols - Sword

[Music] hey welcome to dream stories dream symbols I'm Michel French and today we're gonna be talking about swords as symbols in dreams we're gonna be talking about this particular sword and it is a hand-carved wooden sword that is made from in some places at least olive wood it's got an inlaid cross and a very decorative hilt but it's a very basic simple sword that wouldn't be used in actual contact combat because of the method by which it's made now we'd like to do is talk about swords in general first and that is a sword in particular relates to warfare or combat but for Christians it is specifically something that is referred to when we think about the Word of God or the Bible in other words in Ephesians it says that we take up the sword of truth so we want to look at this particular sword and get some ideas of some things that come out of its characteristics quality and nature that would help us understand what it might mean in a dream it's we said before it's made from wood and it has the inlaid cross it's two different colors of wood it's a brown or a deeper Brown or almost like a an olive wood type color at the hilt a lighter color down the shaft of the blade so when we look at this particular sword we might get the idea that it has to do with some things related to wood wood is a feature when things are made of wood they're often man-made or hand carved as this is so it might relate to something that is made by man on the other hand it is still a sword which means it relates to the Word of God and it does have that cross in it which seems to say that it has some spiritual significance so we get the idea of warfare Word of God and something that might be made by man in this particular case we might say that this sort or at least one of its possible meanings if it showed up in your dream would be that you may be engaged in some spiritual warfare where you're attempting to use the Word of God but you're actually handling things much more in your own strength than you realize now that's just one of the many possible meanings that a sword can mean this sword in particular if it showed up in your drain that's all for now until next time keep dreaming [Music] [Music] you
