Drainage solution for common water issue

good morning humans Chris obviously here your DCA outdoor designer guy taking a look at a common drainage problem a common thing we see around here with how downspouts are out leaded this is pretty much your typical your typical setup my solution is kind of a play on the typical downspout barrel we've been doing doing for years in this area using a your standard four inch coupler the attached downspout after modifying it with a short piece four inch solid into a four-inch ninety that then runs into a four inch 4 inch trunk line about about three foot long with a green grade on the end now all that water will come down here carrying leaves a store with it of course and this enables you to get out in there and clean that out easily for the homeowner this of course then splashes on to a black stone surrounded by cobblestones and river rock on top of 14 mill pond liner you're creating you're creating a creek bed out of this so you're going to swell this out and this this leads into a 9 inch catch basin and then catches all this water away from away from the foundation it's an all collected here and then shoots off into the line that you modified and you take the positive read out to the drive so that's my tip for today yours in the garden Chris
