hey folks this is maoli with a class overview video for Dragon Dogma 2 to help you pick which class to play the different classes offer different gameplay experiences and you want to ensure that you pick the class that will be the most fun for you in this video we'll take a look at five reasons to play each vocation and as a bonus I'll throw some ideas out as to which ponds to pick if you want to skip ahead to specific classes I'll have time stamps in the video description I do want to note before we get started we don't have all the information since the game isn't out yet so any video talking about classes should be taken with a grain of salt this one included dragon stma has three types of classes starter Advanced and hybrid when you start the game you will have to pick one of the four starter classes don't let the name fool you these classes have just as much depth and uniqueness as the other two categories advanced classes offer a focus in one aspect of the starter classes often this is more damage hybrid classes combine attributes from some of the other classes noting that hybrid classes are locked to players meaning pawns cannot take up these vocations I do want to note real quick before getting started with the classes and pawn choice is relative for example if you know you're fighting against an enemy that's really weak to fire damage you could in theory just take three Sorcerers with fire specialization the fighter class embodies the traditional sword and board tank excelling with capabilities that extend beyond mere brute strength Fighters are unique in their defensive abilities equipped with a shield that allows them to block incoming attack the capability of mitigating damage is crucial providing a strong front line to withstand the onslaught of enemies Fighters can also use the shield to launch allies into the air allowing them to jump onto larger foes their roll as tank is bolstered by their ability to pull aggro or the attention off of their allies and onto themselves despite their heavy armor and defensive orientations Fighters are surprisingly fast they boast charge attacks allowing them to close distances quickly and being able to move around the battlefield with an unexpected speed their ability to rapidly position themselves where needed most and to be able to Shield allies makes them a consistently reliable presence on the battlefield in terms of Pawn support Fighters are going to benefit greatly from having an ally that can support them a mage or a sorcerer Pond is going to be essential providing the necessary healing and support to maintain the fighters resilience while also enhancing their offensive capabilities with elemental weapon enchantments additionally a range Pawn like the Archer is going to be valuable to deal with those pesky flying enemies the Archer class epitomizes the acrobatic Ranger theme build in exploiting enemy vulnerabilities from a distance as an Archer players Master the art of precision utilizing abilities like dire Arrow to unleash devastating charge shots and raining down volleys to overwhelm foes the classes Proficiency in targeting weak spots is not merely a damage dealing tactic but can also strategically stun enemies turning the tide of battle archers are equipped with a variety of arrows including Elemental and explosive types expanding their Arsenal to adapt to any combat scenario ensuring they are prepared for whatever challenges they face what makes the archers really stand out is they're the strongest class against Airborne adversaries solidifying their status as the Premier Choice for players to prioritize mobility and tactical positioning with the ability to consistently hit critical areas archers can dismantle enemy defenses create opportunities for their allies to exploit by breaking their Poise meter or their CC meter and knocking enemies down the combination of Mobility precision and versatility makes the Archer class a formidable force on the battlefield capable of Shifting the momentum of combat in their favor when considering the pawn configuration players should aim to create a balanced team that covers all aspects of combat so you'll definitely want some sort of Front Line like a fighter or Warrior absorbing damage maintaining aggro of enemies a allowing the Archer to operate without direct threat additionally having a mage or sorcerer Pawn can provide essential support offering both Elemental damage to exploit enemy Elemental weaknesses and to heal and support allies on Long fights the thief class represents the traditional Rogue bringing to the table play Styles centered around agility subtlety and sustained damage thieves excel at delivering a flurry of attacks through intricate Combos and specialized weapon skills like the devastating firebomb their Hallmark is their exceptional Mobility on the battlefield allowing them to Dart in and out of combat with ease which not only makes them elusive targets but also enables them to exploit enemy weaknesses an additional unique aspect of the thief is their vertical agility allowing them to LEAP on and off of enemies playing as a thief offers the thrill of a high skill ceiling where Mastery of their fast-paced and intricate gameplay can lead to significant rewards thieves are known for their ability to secure extra Liv making them a great choice for players who want a stockpile gold the thief's gameplay is exhilarating demanding quick reflexes and a sharp decisionmaking to maximize their effectiveness in battle this class is ideal for players who want a challenge to master complex and active combat role as for Pawn selection for the thief you'll want a fighter for sure the fighter can hold aggro against enemies and can create openings for the thief to exploit even launching the thief onto larger foes additionally having a major sorcerer provides crucial support offer healing and Elemental damage the Mage class is the basic magic user Mages excel in a support role offering a balanced mix of offensive and defensive capabilities early in the game they provide a substantial damage output particularly in the area of Elemental spells which can Target enemy vulnerabilities their Proficiency in AOE allows them to control the battlefield Mages are invaluable for their support skills they can enhance their allies of Effectiveness in battle through weapon Buffs amplifying the damage output and Elemental properties of physical attacks Mages possess healing spells making them essential in some of the longer fights they can also fly freeing them to navigate the battlefield when considering Pawn companions for mage it's crucial to get some melee defenses a tank like fighter or Warrior Pawn can protect the Mage from direct confrontation allowing them to get their casts off uninterrupted on the other hand having a pawn with ranged or physical capabilities like the Archer or Thief can help manage enemies that close the distance too quickly the magic Archer is an intriguing hybrid akin to a Bard wielding a magical machine gun specializing in ranged Elemental attacks this class excels in exploiting Elemental weaknesses employing a versatile array of arrows fire arrows create explosive effects and can be steered midf flight ice arrows can slow down enemies and holy arrows illuminate the dark environments that were so prominent in endgame in the original Dragon stma these also can deal a lot of AOE damage the inclusion of a remedy Arrow allows for healing and the class also offers a ranged res showcasing the class's supportive capabilities alongside its offense with the ability to deliver tremendous damage especially when aiming at Elemental vulnerabilities the magic Archer shines in enclosed spaces where their ricocheting arrows can inflict increasing damage with each each bounce making them deadly in close quarters combat the class also features a machine gun style attack I'm hoping the sacrificial Arrow makes a return with its ability to sacrifice a pawn to deal insane amounts of damage the magic archers comprehensive skill set makes it a strong candidate for solo play when it comes down to pawn selection a tank might be vital to hold enemy aggro ensuring the magic Archer can capitalize on their unique comp combat mechanics this Dynamic allows players to switch between roles of damage dealer and support depending on the situation and if sacrificial Arrow makes a return you can just think of your pawns as ammunition the Mystic spear hand is a unique amalgamation of fighter and Mage wielding lightning based attacks and telekinetic Powers with a weapon similar to Darth Maul's double-sided saber this class offers unparalleled Mobility allowing players to telep across the battlefield whether it's to strike from above weave through enemy ranks or engage aerial foes directly the Mystic spear hands versatility extends to its combat capabilities with a mix of ranged and melee attacks that deal both physical and magical damage enhanced by abilities like a protective shield spell and a shadow double to increase Battlefield presence and damage output with its telekinetic Powers the Mystic spear hand can manipulate the environment and enemies adding a tactical Edge to its gameplay the class is designed for players who want a dynamic and flexible combat experience enabling them to easily adapt to various situations the combination of offensive power defensive capabilities and crowd control coupled with their ability to stun enemies makes the Mystic spear hand a formidable choice for any Adventurer pwn selection for the class could focus on supporting its hybrid nature a support pond like Mage would be ideal while the class can effectively tank especially with its Shield spell it's unclear if the class has a taunt the warrior class is a Bastion of strength and power ideal for players who favor the heft and impact of massive two-handed weapons the devs have stated that the Warriors attacks are capable of dealing the most damage in game provided these attacks hit their Mark the class is defined by its ability to execute colossal attacks with significant charge times demanding precise timing to maximize the destructive potential abilities like Savage lash which grow stronger with the longer channeling exemplify the raw power and strategic depth of the warrior challenging players to balance risk versus reward in combat to offset their slower attack speed Warriors can leverage a passive ability that increases the speed of their standard attacks with perfectly timed button presses this skill allows for a more fluid combat enabling Warriors to overcome the slow nature of their attacks and engage more effectively in Fast Pace battles their tankiness is due to their heavy armor and abilities like Bellow which serve as an AOE taunt to protect their less durable allies Warriors also possess a second wind ability to remove debuffs and they have the ability to Parry enemy attacks for devastating counter blows Warriors have access to moves for crowd control and utility as abilities like barge for disrupting Enemy Lines ladder launch to Aid allies and vertical assaults and N breaker for unbalancing foes to maximize A Warrior's Effectiveness the pawn selection is essential a ranged Pawn can address aerial threats another Mele Pawn can help pin down allies accommodated by the Warrior's ladder launch ability and a mage Pawn can provide essential healing and support this combination ensures the warrior can fully exploit their strengths in combat maintain m in the front line and leading the charge the sorcerer is the master of magical offense wielding formidable magic attacks that can decisively influence the flow of battle the vocation harnesses power through a large staff channeling spells that require strategic positioning and timing due to their long cast times Sorcerers must skillfully choose their moments to cast their spells which include abilities with large aoes and the ability to exploit Elemental weaknesses the key to maximizing their potential lies in effective positioning ensuring they remain unharmed while casting their devastating spells joint casting is an intriguing aspect of the sorcerer skill set it allows for collaborative spellcasting with pawns the mechanics of this feature whether it boosts damage output reduces the cast time or simply just looks cool remains to be fully understood additionally Sorcerers possess the ability to fly offering an escape mechanism or a strategic repositioning tool if your tank falters as for the choice of Pawns a melee tank is essential for diverting attention from the sorcerer allowing them to cast spells without interruption another Mage or sorcerer Pawn also be beneficial either to bolster the group's magical offense or to experiment with joint casting this combination ensures that Sorcerers maintain a safe distance from direct combat while wielding their magic to its fullest extent making them a pivotal figure in any party composition the trickster class is the embodiment of cunning and deception specializing in creating Illusions and controlling the battlefield without directly dealing damage this classic cells as a tactical tank using its unique abilities to manipulate and disorient enemies rather than engaging them headon the trickster's Arsenal includes decoys to distract foes the ability to stun opponents and even instill fear to knock down adversaries off their feet creating openings for allies to exploit in addition to its deceptive capabilities the trickster can deploy traps and conjure environmental elements like platforms and walls these abilities can be used creatively to manipulate enemy positioning including leading them off a cliff which can be used as an effective strategy for farming levels without direct confrontation the trickster's role as a support class is further emphasized by its ability to manage and alter the flow of battle making it valuable asset to any party given the trickster's capacity to draw attention away from allies and with stand enemy aggression it pairs well with damage dealing pawns since a trickster itself doesn't require constant healing due to its indirect combat style it allows for party composition that focuses on maximizing offensive output this setup will allow the trickster to control the battlefield setting the stage for its companions to unleash their full offensive potential making the class a strategic choice for players who enjoy manipulating the battlefield and orchestrating the demise of their enemies the Warfare class is a versatile and dynamic hybrid capable of wielding an array of weapons from different vocations effectively making it a hybrid of hybrids this unique ability allows Warfare to adapt to a wide range of combat situations accessing potentially three different vocations weaponry and skill sets while specific Warfare abilities remain speculative it's not going to excel in any one area as much as the specialized classes do embodying the Jack of all trades master of non philosophy this trade-off means that the Warfare isn't going to match the raw power of specialized classes it compensates though with its remarkable versatility and the capacity for Creative combat tactics Warfare can execute weapon swapping combos like using an ice ramp and then reaching to a great sword for a powerful melee strike or seamlessly transitioning from close combat to range engagements employing the Archer's Mobility to disengage and then swapping to the magic bow from the Mystic Archer for Elemental attacks the potential skill cealing for a Warfare is exceptionally High demanding players to not only Master multiple weapons and their Associated skills but also understand and anticipate the demands of each combat encounter selecting the appropriate tools and strategies to Prevail this complexity makes the Warfare a compelling choice for players who thrive on tactical flexibility in the challenge of adapting to varied combat scenarios on the Fly pawns for a Warfare will depend largely on the Player's Choice of weapons the theoretically with the right combination of weapons a Warfare could solo many encounters albeit more slowly than if they had a full party this flexibility means the choice of Pawns can vary widely I don't necessarily have suggestions for pawns here because of the versatility and I wouldn't suggest playing this class unless if you can come up with the pawn configurations that's going to fit a specific play style you're going for and that's all the classes if you've seen or read something that I missed I still haven't decided what I'm going to play yet either so please let me know if you still can't decide and what to play after watching this check out the quiz that they posted on their website I put a link in the description below or maybe just flip a coin
