This entire album was the soundtrack to my depressed, angsty teenage life in the early 90's, along with Nevermind and Pretty Hate Machine.
One of the great albums of the 90βs. βThem Bonesβ βRoosterβ βWould?β and βDown in a Holeβ all reaching classic status, but the whole album is great.
Anyone who digs Alice in Chains needs to go to YouTube and search Alice in Chains MTV Unplugged. One of the best live performances Ive ever heard.
Absolutely one of the greatest albums of all time. Its just jawdroppingly good. Nirvana and Pearl Jam got all the glory but AiC was just in another league than any other grunge act IMO.
Nobody else sings like Layne

This album is by far one of the best from that decade. "Rain when I die" is such an underrated song from it, but really the whole album is crazy good. Layne had such raw power and melodic richness to his voice. It took me many years to realize how truly unique of an artist he was. Great to see this sub appreciating them as of late.
Favorite song on a classic album. Only unplugged is better.
