Man that must be exhausting to improv for an entire day.
Thatβs one of the reasons ABC cancelled the original run. Drew was on a talk show and basically said we have 3 seasons worth of episodes in the can. They cancelled new shows and ran the remaining episodes for 2 summers.
Different episodes is one thing - they stretched a gag across three seasons.
There was also some kind of editing / audience plant trickery going on. I'll never forget watching two episodes back to back, from different years, where the same member of the audience yelled out the exact same suggestion, in the exact same way.
Aaand down the YouTube hole I go.
Penn and teller also film multiple episodes at a time since they dont know how long each act is going to take. That means they always have to wear the same clothes when they shoot. A friend went on hell's kitchen and they asked which episode she wanted to eat at as they were filming like 4 in one day.
YOUR NOSE IS SLOWING US DOWN
You can also tell from their clothes
You knew it was a good joke if Ryan couldn't keep it together.
