good afternoon I guess because I'm in the middle of the sandwich I'm going to tell you what's going on it's a pleasure to be here the plate in this percussion ensemble I can't tell you what a pleasure it is to be here but I just want to say something about the people that I'm playing with over to my right over here the first time I saw her was playing with Miles Davis and I was completely knocked out it was this just knocked out by watching her play and listen to all the sounds that she made and I could only say there's a great percussionist s Marilyn desu you know again and to my left over here that's the first time we meet but during the soundcheck you know we played just a little bit during the soundcheck and I said well we got no problem here at all no problem and she's played with ayatul Marrero I think that's a familiar name great Brazilian percussionist and tree lough gur - another great percussionist with John McLaughlin and everybody so went to New York and played with these guys and in all we all I can say again it is a pleasure to play with Elizabeth Diaz over yeah so you know we we just got together today you know and we talked a little bit you know what we're going to do we didn't have a real big rehearsal but we are not going to have no problem so we're going to play a little bit for you now you got to remember percussion percussion is like your heartbeat you know it's like it's like your heart you know and you know that you cannot live without your heart okay you you
