hey YouTube so today I'm going to be working on my bass in here I've been having water problems for ever since I bought the house and right now it's not too bad but we haven't had much of a rain and we're coming into winter now but what I'm gonna end up doing is busting out all along the drain tile they're all around the foundation here I guess you go out about 18 inches we'll see how far we need to be but in order to get at the drain tile if there is any and if not you know Soviet we're gonna have to dig it out anyways and put in some new drain tile not sure what exactly I'm gonna be a what to expect underneath this area here where the looked like there must have been a bathroom that one time or some sort of one I don't know where these pipes go and everything like that but uh it will be going from this corner there's a Carl space on the opposite side of this wall but I've seen water trickle in from over here too anyways so we'll do it just to be safe it's starting in that corner going all the way into the main issue and then coming around I'll have to bust out around the water heater here first and then last minute you know when everything else is ready we'll move the water heater and take care of that little spot then because that's an addition over there so it's gonna be different drain tile but then we're gonna be coming over here until we get to the some crock and here we're I'm gonna be installing a new some crock and then covering it because I'm gonna do a raid on abatement at the same time so that's my project and guess I'll get started on busting it out I just got a little 45 pound hammer to use and we'll see where we get [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] hey guys so at this step I've removed all the concrete that I busted out so it looks like this all the way around and now I'm going back and digging out alongside the footing now and removing the soil I mean it's kind of like a low me sandy miss that's in here right now right there you can see the whole clay tile and right there actually if you can see where that tile looks like it kind of ends it actually goes out through the footer and I assume this pipe is going underneath the concrete and then going alongside behind all the utilities right here because the same thing happened on this side and I mean I haven't dug all this up but I mean I was just following drain tile here and right right there where I stopped digging it actually goes right underneath the concrete again and I'm assuming it comes out somewhere over here so we'll see where that ends up getting us as of right now I mean I still don't know what these pipes are for you know I mean I know that I assume they were used for a bathroom but once I dig up around there you know I'll get a better idea of what's actually underneath there but this side give you a quick update before I continue digging on so here it is all right we'll catch up with you guys hey guys so I just thought I'd give you a quick update where I'm at right now I've pulled off the drain tile that was in here the old clay and what I phone was in the corners here if you guys can see that while or not but that's roots coming through the pipe right there that goes to the outside and then comes across I'm assuming like the other side and catches over there but nothing's in the corners here so it did lay right behind all this and again right here in the corner you can see it goes outside to the exterior drain tile life so and then it cuts crossed and cuts the corner that comes out on this end right there again you can see where it catches outside drain tile so that's one thing I found so far you see you know what problem people it's dripping right now one that's where I'm at right now next step is gonna be to uh probably dig this all out I still gonna drill the holes and all the block or on that side because this was an exterior wall but is not anymore let's just add to the confusion over here I have another so pump then I'm gonna tie into one you just saw on the other side at least that's the plan anyways so then I'll just have one pump and I can just seal this off for my radon abatement so yeah let's burn it and we'll see where it goes this is a 3/4 inch hammer drill bit with all the holes drilled these are spitting water renege patrolmen we're going to tie the other soap into this one with that pipe dug underneath the footer and into the other crock on the other side of the wall so the pipe someone's gonna be that's an existing drink towel over there these two pipes you see here and down there those are actually sewer lines my sewer and they were actually broken lid and a half assed that's all we're gonna fix that there are some couplers on there and four inch pipe so it seals back up all it's in use for now is the drain in the floor in here so that should be alright well that's your update for now till more gets done are you guys this is my plan here I bought this roll a dimpled board normally used on the exterior of the foundation and what I'm gonna do is bend it on a 90 like this and set that up against the wall where the poles are so the holes will be like right here then I'm going to nail this to the wall and then I got some foam backer I'll grab that real quick just to clarify things so the pulling back or them will get topped just like this right there so then the concrete doesn't seep down behind this and totally defeat the purpose of what we're doing with them I'll make a cut I don't know about 18 inches like I've dug out it's got to be shorter than that obviously and then I'll lay this in there on top of my landscape fabric you know as a sediment barrier on top of the stone and drain tile so the water will be able to come through the holes in the wall get down into the channel here and be able to carry across the footer into the drain tile or you know that'll be underneath the end over here so that's the plan anyways next I'm gonna be excavated and I got the water heater draining right now so I'll be excavating that little bit right there and then we can start laying some drain tile pipe and get moving on this all right we'll catch up with you guys later quick update just populate the fabric in the pile there's the roll dimple work cut pointed up the holes for the sewer border cleaned out those footer dreams as much as possible at the pressure washer down here pressure wash this the top of the footer and up the wall a little bit and along with the inside edge here sanik step fabric drain tile stone and the once you get that in and I can put in the Sun over here fix that sewer leak I've mentioned that's the pipe coming from our other sump pump I'll show you that real quick so they're no longer be a something here it's just gonna empty out through that three-inch pipe there are more again right into the other crack something that will make my read on abatement a little bit easier by just heaven DUP pull from the ones on this will just get covered with Plexiglas and silicon down that's all for no catch up later hey guys so I'm just giving an update here I got all the stone in fabric set some croc set here it's actually better deer days since I think of film this what I had done is just put in a little bit of concrete where needed underneath the water heater so I can shower and have hot water otherwise I'm gonna let this probably go until this weekend now once I once I got a little bit of time off of work and I could finish this up but just to give you the rundown here so you got the fabric coming over the top then I have just a little bit of plastic just to keep the cement off the fabric just so it's not pulling moisture from anything and then the temple board just like I was saying then I just stuffed the foam you can kind of see it right there just behind it it's on the cement can't drop through but so that I'll have to get completed the rest of the way around though but just like give you a quick update on this there's the mixer I'm using and bags of cement I was gonna mix my own but now that the weather's turn crappy it's not really feasible so yep just click update I'll bring you guys back probably when I got this all wrapped up and I'll I'll show you everything alright catch you later alright you guys so it's the weekend now and work some overtime yesterday so I didn't get a chance to do it on Saturday but I'm back at it figure out the rest of this laid out I got that plastic film just on that edge there just so the concrete don't get too dry it doesn't suck the moisture out of it this is still got add the plastic too but I got it all laid out and then I just figured I'd better get one last look at it before I pour concrete this is all just gonna be plastic here because of the you know the other basement on this side it and have to drill the holes but so that's what we're looking at she's just all gonna get past about I've been wetting this down hoping that it'll settle this a bit cuz that was a huge hole he had dug so I got the sump pump on plug son that thing doesn't flow it up again on me and yeah just thought I'd give you guys an update I'm gonna catch you when this is all over hey you guys so I just finished up laying this concrete here looks alright I'm no expert at it gonna have to fill them a little bit of stuff here in there and I still got a full right now once the bleed waters off some of it's still too wet but uh yeah it's all in many ways alright Nassau that's it for now next up is gonna be I'm gonna seal the crack on the other side here and then you're gonna seal up this one with cover I bought for it and then should be able to put in the radon no Bateman stuff all right you guys [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] you
