i want to share with you guys one of my favorite ikea hacks go by two of their hemnes shoe racks they're really thin and they mostly fit paper goods next you're going to want to find a piece of reclaimed wood sand it stain it and screw it on the top add crown molding to the feet replace the handles with ones that you like and voila it really transforms these shoe racks you guys it's so beautiful and it's perfect for long hallways that just don't have a lot of room or space ikea hat yeah and i got some shelf brackets some plants of course and some lights and i did a little hack took my screwdriver with a drill to pre-drill holes and i drilled a couple here and there and then i strung the light through and hung up here's how it looks i turned an ikea calyx unit into a drinks cabinet go on and add an mdf backboard and soft remainder then sand your entire piece down so it's nice and smooth i had some extra dado railing which i cut to size and glued on the front to add some texture then i gave it a few coats of black paint from french chic screwed on these awesome hairpin legs and then i sawed down some spare wood to make a wine glass holder there you go [Music] so [Music] out of this ikea wooden box and dowels from the dollar tree i'm making this open the box and put the top on the bottom and the bottom on the top and then hot glue the dowels to the sides make sure to take the paint cans out before you get too far along otherwise they're going to get stuck inside and you'll have to start over and here's the final product it looks great in a bathroom or you could even use it in a kitchen follow us on tiktok instagram and youtube for more diys and makeover tips recreating things i saw on pinterest part one so basically there's a shoe cabinet from ikea and people are replacing the top with their own wood and changing out the knobs i have a tiny entryway and this cabinet's only eight inches deep so here it is in my entryway i had some leftover wood from another project that i decided to use for the top so i cut it to size and then i stained with a lighter color stain i always use poly acrylic as a protective coating then i went ahead and took off the old top and glued on my new one i also changed out the hardware but i realized later i probably could have just spray painted it and don't worry this gets drilled into the wall okay how'd i do [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] it's not a game [Music] [Music] you [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] you
