DIY Christmas Gingerbread ! Custom Craft Painting Video

cookies well hello there cookie today we're gonna be doing an lol DIY Christmassy craft this lol doll is going to get a very very Christmassy makeover for get surgery gingerbread girl so we're gonna give her an absolutely brand new look I mean like a hair and everything so for this cute little gingerbread girl first we're gonna start with her outfit so I'm gonna mix up my gingerbread color by using it some light brown acrylic paint and maybe just a tiny touch of this darker chocolaty color just to create my very own custom gingerbread dress color just a tiny touch the darker color mixed in there just a little bit there we go that's a great gingerbread color I'm gonna go in on my dress and paint the very first coat now I want to keep my paint nice and smooth so I like to dip it in a lot of water as I paint on my dress first coat is looking really good but definitely will have to add multiple coats on to cover up some of these little patterns and details that you can still see under the dress but pretty good for the first coat now that that's dried I'm gonna go on with my second layer again keeping that paint nice and watered down so it's nice and smooth that will make all of your custom projects look much more professional and now I'll go in and add my third coat of paint that should be good enough for our gingerbread dress all right her dress is now ready for us to add our gingerbread details so we're gonna add in some icing by using an off-white color I love to use off-white so I think it just looks a little bit more natural color and more like icing so just right here at the bottom of her dress I'm just gonna go in with this white icing and painted [Music] I'm also going to go in very carefully and paint the little sleeves of her dress thank you bad a chance to dry and I'm going to apply a second coat that way it won't look so splotchy splotchy and I just use that add to the paintbrush to do most of the gliding now I'm gonna go in a little bit more of that creamy frosting white color you know I'm going to paint the caller to her dress [Music] and I'm gonna go in with this holiday red apple color I'm gonna paint a big red holiday bow right on the front this red bow is making it look so Christmasy and festive already and we're not even done not even close to being done yet and of course once it dries and if it looks a little splotchy just go over it with a second coat of paint now it is a rich merry and bright red now I'm gonna take a toothpick with a little bit of that white frosting color and now I'm going to put on little frosting squiggles all over the bottom of the dress it's be very careful not to accidentally bump any of the white frosting squiggles while I am actually putting it on it's like to be very careful where I place my fingers [Music] there we go maybe we'll do a few little squiggles right here on the sleeve to [Music] what we do to one side of the sleeve we must do to the other now we're gonna go into with lots of different colors and add in some big candy buttons just dot it on my paintbrush you want to make sure there's a good amount I'm gonna do one big candy dot right big blue candy dot right on the red bow little candy dot of yellow oh my yellows all gloopy sometimes I have to like clean out the old from my paint a big Oh chunky paint even gets crusty inside of the cap too so sometimes I have to clean the inside of the cap there we go clean all that up it's totally chunky almost got it there you go get this old paint out of here just kind of gets dry in the cap and then it makes it a little bit hard to screw on now I think it'd be really cute to add in some little gingerbread men on the side of the dress so I'm gonna use a dark brown it's a little bit out put some right out here now this paint is a little bit old so it's a little chunky has it been used in a long time just kind of smoosh it and flatten it out go that's a nice chocolaty color though break my toothpick a little bit scoop up some of this paint now very very carefully I want to paint you little mini gingerbread men on the side here here's its head we got its little arm and little gingerbread men legs maybe that slide we'll just have a little gingerbread man and the other side will have a candy cane so cute we got a tiny little gingerbread man same thing on the other side I'm gonna take my toothpick with some of that off-white color and just make a little candy cane while I'm waiting for those to dry I'm gonna be going in now with a rainbow of colors to create little tiny gumdrops all the way around the dress and around the candy cane in the gingerbread man and I'm just gonna go in rainbow order look at it finished in perfect rainbow order perfect now I'm just gonna go around each one like a little pocket now I'm gonna go back in and decorate my teeny-tiny little gingerbread man like the smallest eyes ever gingerbread buttons and put the stripeys on my candy cane [Music] well now we can start fixing up her face her eyes are a little bit kind of rubbed off right here just a little bit so we're gonna fix this up I just kind of touching up her eyes a little bit yeah no I got crusty paint again can't clean out all this crusty in here get out of here old crusty paint yeah this blue color should match her eyes very nicely to just be able to touch them up dude my color matches perfectly here we go now she's got new eyes why is the paint so crusty let's do a red lipstick color here we go now we're gonna give her a brand new hair style color it's gonna be the icing white color very same color I used for the icing on her gingerbread dress so paint all of her hair she's actually going to have icing hair how cool is that she's gonna look just as sweet as her dress then I'm gonna go in with a smaller brush and kind of do the details a little bit closer to her face [Music] then I'm gonna go in with a second coat of paint and a third coat of paint maybe needed as well so just go ahead and paint that on to now I'm gonna get started on painting in her leggings so they're already stripy but I want to paint over the stripy and so I'm just gonna do a base coat of white to kind of make everything one solid color instead of pink and green makes it a little bit easier for the one coat to go on so I'm just gonna do a base coat now I'm gonna go in and paint her leggings on that bright mary cherry red can't forget the bottom of the feet too and I'm gonna keep on painting layer after layer after layer until my red color is nice and beautiful and you cannot see any streaky's or splotchy splotchy splotches you guys how do you and she look with little candies in her hair I think I'm gonna add little candies in with my toothpick so just like her outfit for little candy dots [Music] now I'm gonna use my dura clear matte varnish to seal everything in give it a shake I'm gonna paint her leggings and it's okay that I didn't paint all the way up on her body because we just need to see her leggings peeking out from her dress and I'm going to paint now her dress this dress is so cute with all these candies on it let me try really get the edges cuz that's what's gonna have the most wear and tear while I play with the stall yeah I'm gonna switch over to a satin varnish so I'll have a different finish whenever I do her eyes and I'll use the satin varnish on her hair as well so that way it won't be quite as matte finished look at all those candies in the icing now let's put her all together get her dressed put on her head a pair of shoes which I did find these ones right here I had some extra lol shoes lying around oh and they're like red gummy candies yeah we can go in and add one last holiday little sparkle to her by actually just gonna use some glittery nail polish I'm gonna add a little twinkle of glitter to the bottom of her dress yet a little touch of glitter to her makeup here to her eyelashes and a little bit right here to her collar there we go oh she may be one of my new favorite lol cos tops you guys she turned out so cute she is so ready for Christmas and of course I love her Gingerbread dress with all of those candies on it it's sweet enough it looks like you could just eat her dress her little gumdrop shoes and then of course we've got her candy sprinkled hair and her hair is just like icing so she is amazing and I love that she's got like little twinkles of stars in her eyes as well but the little Christmas wonder I hope you cookie fans enjoyed at this custom video thanks for hanging out with me and thanks for being SuperDuper
