Dissolving metal with sound

ultrasonic cleaners work really well for example watch how it just takes the pencil mark off of this glass they instantly just come off of it so how is this working how can I clean things so well like this bolt here notice how the dirt and grime just come off it instantly when I stick it in the Ultrasonic Cleaner the reason they work so well is because they have extreme acoustic pressures that cause the pressure in the water to drop below the vapor pressure of the water this causes a bubble to form and then collapse many times per second the pressure waves created from the collapsing bubbles are so high that it can even break little pieces of metal off you can see if I take this brass metal foil it literally eats holes in it so this brass foil just becomes dust as these ultra high speed pressure and temperature waves hit them and just disintegrate it into dust
