Cajun spice and everything nice I'm the Cajun ninja and I'm cooking dirty rice [Music] what is that my Cajun enthusiast welcome back to the kitchen I got another good one for you today dirty rice oh man you guys have asked for this one for so long I can't even remember the first time somebody asked for this so I'm pretty pumped to finally knock this one out and the featured item for this dish Cajun spice award-winning spice right now this thing warm the 2017 golden chili Award overhead zest Fest which I'm told is a pretty big deal so I'm pretty pumped to give that a try now with that being said there will be some stuff not in my dirty rice chicken lovers chicken gizzards chicken hearts I get it many of y'all are gonna be like we make what I don't know dirty rice hey in this household that's not one my wife release and I'm gonna go by playing the odds happy wife happy life roll the dice no I'm saying if you want some chicken lizards at you some chicken lizards [Music] alright guys enough talk it's time to knock this time so y'all stick around hey you guys know what time it is time to get your pot heated up and from there we go to our prep station where we have our vegetables so what you have here is one green bell pepper one yellow onion two sticks of celery four cloves of garlic and a bunch of green onion tick-tock you don't stop you put the pot in your hand and you pump the top yeah my way guys if you ain't having fun just go eat out all right guys our vegetables have been moved off to the side and now we're going to get browning on our one pound pack of ground chuck and our one pound pack of ground pork sausage this here is actually the breakfast blend and it's also the one that's labeled hot it just gives you a dirty rice a great flavor so we're gonna head a little bit of vegetable oil to our heated pot right here we're gonna get our meat browning we crack a wagon all right so we're gonna get this mixed around real good get it nice and brown so at this time go ahead and get your oven preheated to 300 degrees now I know some of y'all gonna complain that I'm using a metal spatula in this pot but I try to be careful okay the thing is is I rather use metal spatulas for raw meats and my wooden spatulas for my vegetables so at this time to this meat we're gonna go ahead and add a teaspoon of salt just to give it a little flavor you know you need that mixed around all right we're good and browned up right here so we're gonna go ahead and drain this and then we're gonna get to sauteing on our vegetables there we go all right back at our pot we got stick of butter party of one let me show you do you see but I let that melt all right now that our butter has melted we add in our chopped vegetables and we get started so we're gonna want to cook these down for a good bit probably 25 to 30 minutes just kind of keep stirring them regularly until they're very soft all right guys these vegetables are nice and soft so now at this time we're gonna go ahead and add our meat back in and get that stirred around real good all right now that that is stirred in real good you're gonna go ahead and add 1 32 ounce container of chicken stock I'm go ahead and stir that around really good all right next we're gonna go ahead and add 1 tablespoon of our Cajun spice which is perfect on anything there we go blend that in oh when I'm crying next we add one tbsp of browning sauce don't stir that in there real good next you will add three and a half cups of water next you want to add two beef bouillon cubes oh yeah now bring this thing to a boil while that is heating up go ahead and add four cups of rice get that stirred around alright guys once you got this boiling you cover it up turn your fire off and you put this bad boy in the oven let that cook for one hour all right this is done right here so we're gonna get this bad boy out then we're gonna let it sit for five minutes time is up let's take a look oh my goodness that ladies and gentlemen is a dirty rice and as you guys can see our rice is cooked perfectly look at that that's just what you're looking for right now all right ladies and gentlemen we done did that again we gonna go ahead and plate up guys I am so ready to dive in there's so much prep work that goes into doing all of this that you have to sit here and smell all this deliciousness but you can't taste it yet because you still have to do this part so before I dive in I gotta let you guys know go check out Lou Pierre's Cajun spice calm that is where you can purchase your very own package of Louviere Cajun spice they're an award-winning spice with no MSG at the bottom and food challenge in 2017 they got runner-up in three different divisions but then they got number 1 and table seasoning and that's how they won the golden chili a woman so this is young company super excited and I'm super pumped to give them a truck let's take a bite Hey hmmm there's some good guys you know what I like about it it has a nice kick to it you'll think about loopy airs it's not really loaded down with sodium however it does make up for that with the amount of spice it has to it so it's a great seasoning to have when you're making your Cajun dishes that is a good dirty rice tell you what well alright guys we don't need that again I'll tell you what you give this a try nothing's gonna like it and once again if you want your chicken livers and gizzards throw it in there you can follow the same exact recipe and just add it to it furthermore if there's anyone else out there who's interested and showcasing their product on my page just hit me up on Instagram or Facebook at the Cajun menu well that's a wrap y'all have a good time making this one and I appreciate y'all tuning in it y'all stay tuned for more [Music]
