this is the greenworks 14 inch dethatcher it has 18 stainless steel tines as a three position depth adjustment takes about 10 minutes to fully assemble it out of the box and it comes with a four year parts warranty weighs about 26 pounds while it's in a box i'd say it weighs about 20 pounds outside the box i did a noise meter run on to see how loud it was and it measured out about 80 decibels depending on where i held my meter at about 429 bucks from lowe's i'll go over a few of the features of this dethatcher then we'll put it to work first of all it works off of 18 tines so we are under here get a look under here and these are the tines right here there's 18 of these two on each individual section these are what they look like close up they send you a extra set so when you purchase this you get extra set so 18 installed 18 in a bag it has wheels or seven inches in diameter and they have an adjustment for height put this back down so you can adjust how high or how deep you're going to thatch your grass so this one is now set at low and as you read it from the bottom of the tire is where the setting that is going to be at so if i turn this to high and put it down here that would be at a high setting instructions are on the side easily done they adjust on both sides so you have to adjust both wheels it runs from a 10 amp electric motor so you have to plug it in is not a battery operated machine it has a cord holder so it won't unplug easily you just plug it in here extension cords here is a push button start so you push it and then pull your lever up like this and you'll hear it start just like that okay so i'm gonna go put this through the course and we're gonna see how it works all right so let's do a quick run you can see here's my grass beforehand i live in the state of washington so there'll be a lot of moss up here and here it is as you saw just pulling this moss out of there so i i take this and i get out my grass and then i put it into my garden area put in my compost pile so you can see how effective this is you can see that when i was running it i was basically holding it with one hand because as the tines turn it will want to pull itself forward so it's not a not a heavy piece of equipment to operate if you've ever rented one you know that that thing those will uh are quite difficult to maneuver sometimes because they want are heavy and they pull you at a very high rate of force this one is quite easy to operate it's very quiet like i said 82 decibels it takes about 10 minutes to assemble it out of the box the only thing i had to assemble really was to attach the upper handle to the lower handle and put a screw in each side of the main body and then it was done but again it's pretty effective i like it again i got mine at lowe's it's green works 14 inch dethatcher please watch my other videos subscribe to my channel my next review will be of the greenworks probably 20 inch trimmer thank you have a great day
