Post-it notes. Solves all your problems, baby! Wha-why is there a baby? Whose baby is this? boop. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Sticky notes are great and super underrated. They're handy for leaving little reminders, they come in all kinds of colors, and you get like a hundred of them for just a dollar. Besides reminding you to do things, like how to not kill a random person's baby, they could be used for lots of other things. Welcome to GingerPale's how to use.. we're gonna use post-it notes today. Are you ready? Me neither, let's go Brainstorming. Starting off obvious, your brain is like a computer. Too much data, and it begins to slow down in processing new information. *AOL dialing noises* You're gonna take all these thoughts and just vomit them out onto some sticky notes. *vomiting* Look at that! Look at all these thoughts and ideas! Most are gonna be pretty terrible, but some are gonna be slightly tolerable. Since everything's all laid out physically in front of you, You don't need to leave it to your unreliable brain to remember things. Now you got more brain room for fresh thoughts. To-do lists. To keep me on track, I like to write things down that I want to achieve, for example, make a video. Wow! That's ambitious! So let's break it down into more manageable tasks. Research and brainstorm ideas, write the script, storyboard the script, cry, record audio, animate, bathe in success, and then maybe bathe in general, because you smell, and you deserve one more good cry. See? Look at that. Now we feel productive. I'd feel better if I had easy tasks, so I get to cross off more, like showering, eating breakfast, or compulsively overthinking the abundant amount of tasks I have to do in a small period of time Storyboard. Sometimes, words don't cut it. I like to listen to audio or read through a script and draw a small thumbnail image of what I think of when I hit certain lines. This helps a lot for pitching video ideas to friends and family, because I can try to carry my terrible writing with some visuals. You could use a sketchbook, but personally fancy books make me feel pressured. It's like every page has to be the Van Gogh-Mona Lisa-Beethoven-Houdini thingy. Like, I paid 25 bucks for this, and I can't even draw on it. But with post-its, just look at this fat stack of cash i saved. Just kidding, that's more sticky notes. Murals. Look! Check this out!
