Decorating my room! (new bed, curtains, posters and more)

okay so today in this video i'm gonna be making some adjustments to my room i guess i say today but even though this video is gonna span across maybe three days and the reason for that is because i ordered some things that i'm gonna need to wait to come in the mail so anyway we can talk about this when i'm driving it literally feels like i haven't talked to you guys in a year i'm not here so what am i talking about i'm exaggerating but it feels like it's been a while i'll wait till i'm out of um okay so i'm back from staples that's actually the only place i went but i got the poster oh this is what i got by the way oh it looks pretty cool i like it it's like this cityscape painting type thing i think it looks cool i don't i like the colors honestly i bought it or if you've been watching you know i got this frame right here such a long time ago i was like let me just get something anything to put in this frame because it's just been sitting and worst case scenario i'll be like eh it's not my favorite you know it's something for now and then when i find something i like more i'll just spend the thirty dollars and get it printed the same day but that's what's gonna be occupying this frame for the time being oh yeah i moved my bed like now it's usually it's rotated that way but i rotate it this way i did it so that multiple people could sit on it and then we could play the game right here but i kind of just left it because i messed with it you know now how do i actually do this i've never how do i hang it but like how do i well what the hell what [Music] so yeah oh yeah another thing i got a different desk so basically i've been wanting a smaller desk for a while and also one without like a dent in it and it turns out kobe actually got one he got this a couple days ago this was actually kobe's like up until yesterday because i walked in his room and saw that he had this desk and i was like that's kind of nice and he's been wanting the one that i have for a minute now and i've been wanting a different one one that doesn't take up as much space because literally usually all i have is like the water bottle and my laptop and like the hard drive and that's literally it i like this one a lot more because it's cleaner it doesn't take up as much space because my last one was taking up an unnecessary amount of space like i did not need that much now i'm gonna work on moving everything out of my room but yeah when my mom gets back um not too long after she's gonna start getting to work on the room or just painting so i'm gonna make it easy and just move everything out by time she gets home except the tv actually she's gonna just have to paint as far behind it as she can because i can't move that but yeah that's what i'm gonna do right now and i'll get a quick little time lapse of me moving everything out so you guys can see that [Music] do okay so we just got back from the gym and the walls are pretty much completely dry i don't know why i showed it to you but i like that it still adds contrast so that way the white and the black pieces in the room will still pop um let me push tv back actually word i'm glad i finally went through with getting the walls painted because i could have just settled with how they were and you know started decorating from there but i'm glad that we have a better base to work with now and everything will look a lot better if the walls are this color now i actually have to put everything back in my room it's like in the hall my mattress is in my mom's room and she's probably almost asleep interesting okay okay so i put everything back in my room i literally just got the walls painted so obviously there's not going to be much of a difference you know besides the desk actually look how good the desk looks but yeah the walls have been painted so now tomorrow i'm going to hang up the poster right there it'll take up like that much space i got blackout curtains so i'm gonna put those up and uh yeah that's what i'm gonna try to do all in tomorrow and then on monday the bed frame is gonna come in so i'm gonna get that gonna have a really nice headboard and you guys will see it when i actually get in the mail but tomorrow i'll hit you guys back whenever i'm either putting up the curtains or hanging the poster the poster will definitely be oh it's not even there the poster will definitely be the easier one of the two i'm gonna try to get both done tomorrow but yeah i'll see you guys then okay so it's now the next day what came in the mail brush so this was just dropped off by the door and yes i say the next day because it's actually still sunday and not monday it got here a day early but yeah i'm just gonna start unboxing this and then assembling it i'm gonna try to get it done in like two hours maybe hopefully i can get the whole thing done because i do have stuff to do today so i can't spend all day trying to assemble this but for the time that i have i'm gonna do everything i can but for now why does my hand look so small but for now i'm going to obviously move this out of the room again so that i can have all the space i need to actually assemble and then place the bed frame [Music] [Music] okay i have cleared my bed like the mattress and the frame out of the room so now we're ready to actually unbox this mechanical whip required i think you can get this to the door in the first place this is actually the same brand as my other bed frame that i actually have right now oh my gosh okay okay so this is the actual headboard now pretty cool stuff but on amazon there's a video of them showing where everything is okay so if i actually unzip the back of the headboard that's all the stuff inside of the headboard that's that's some revolutionary stuff right there now i'm just going to take all this stuff out and get all the pieces together and see what we have oh wow that's much lighter without everything in it wow so where are the instructions i don't know about all this stuff yeah i remember this exact packaging and stuff from my last bedroom okay so here are the instructions oh what is this framing okay so step one is to get all the components i mean i got everything i'm just gonna assume i have everything i don't feel like going through to get it so number two these are labeled d okay okay so here's the piece that they wanted me to get first i'm gonna put the camera down so i can actually get to work [Music] hey we're already out to step 4 out of 15. does it matter what side we go with [Music] okay hey brother we're like halfway done are we already on wait was that step five i think that was step five so now we're on to step six okay so this involves the headboard and the bottom piece [Music] do okay so like i said earlier i do have somewhere to be in like 30 or 40 minutes i did everything i could in the time that i had i actually got almost the whole thing done literally the only thing i didn't do is it has these little side things and they're gonna go on like that and i think that'll look really nice but besides those i put everything where it's supposed to be assembled it tightened everything so i'm not sure when i'm gonna get home but i will finish this bed frame when i get home i might not have time for the curtains and everything but i could always do that tomorrow but when i get back i'm gonna film me you know finishing the bed frame putting the mattress on putting it in the corner of the room and everything and it'll be like you know it'll look real nice it's going to be a couple hours till i film again but for you guys it's going to be like like i don't know maybe right now i finished with the bed frame i put it all together i think it looks really really good i think it looks great i put the things on right here that were supposed to be there and everything is done now i just gotta get the mattress put that on so i can go to sleep okay so it's now the next day and look we got the we got the bed frame done so now it has the headboard and everything i actually slept on it last night because you know i needed to set it up so i could sleep and it turned out really really good it's a bit higher than my last one but i actually like that and i think it looks really good but i think next i want to do something with this or do something i want to hang it up i've been looking at that spot between the windows for a minute now because i want to put a poster between there but i didn't know what but i finally settled on putting that there but the thing is to hang it up i don't want to have to nail anything in the wall so okay so i went to walmart i just got back actually and i got picture frames and i got like a whole bunch of these hooks like i got some right there but what i'm gonna try to use for that are these actually they're like removable they're like these removable picture strips it says it can hold up to five pounds um we're gonna see this isn't heavy at all we'll see what they can do with it i'm gonna put one on each corner and i should be able to secure it because it's not that heavy okay so the way that the border is on this poster frame it's not very thick so it can't fully get contact but with four of them we should be straight i think right here please tell me it's even okay it's not perfect okay it's not perfectly centered vertically i don't think i need to do that though i think i like it more so on the higher side what are we thinking i think it looks good you can't even see it because it's glaring right now because of that light but i think it looks good should i lower it so it's completely centered or just leave it a little bit higher up like it is now i'll center it i'm not sure if i'll be able to take it off very easily because i did already like stick them all on yeah yeah it's on there it's it's definitely on there it's not completely centered i don't think that's really what i was going for in the first place but yeah but that is on there so i guess we're gonna have to deal with it but that was really really simple i think that's how i'm gonna hang up all my wall art because that was really easy oh okay so i should do the curtains and i got hooks for that actually so i don't have to nail anything but i got these picture frames i got these eight by ten picture frames i don't know how to all right [Music] that's an easy front side towards you oh oh okay that's why they call it front loading i guess yeah okay i got these a while ago as he actually got them for me because they were in my amazon cart or whatever so i got these little we got the yeah yeah and there's three of them and i got a pack of three of these so i'm gonna see if i can go ahead and load this up i should be doing this on my desk for real wait i did that completely wrong and slide that yo it's fraying look bryce frame that's what's up now i can just put them wherever i don't know where i'm gonna put them yet though this one has much more of a thin border you know but it's like better than just putting the paper up on the wall you know [Music] super easy let's go oh my goodness this is actually very simple to do i finally have stuff to put on the walls because the walls are just so plain right now bro yo okay so we got one and then two and then three right there all framed and ready to go i don't know where i'm gonna put them maybe like above there but i actually have plans for above there oh i could do it i could put them above my desk actually like right there or right i'm not sure i'll figure it out but i'm gonna keep procrastinating doing the curtains and i'm going to yo oh it's stuck together look we got the yes i think what i'm gonna do with this is put it above my headboard right there i think that's what i'm gonna do that's why i said i'm not gonna put those up there because i think i'll do this instead look so i'll just put them up like that it might take like three or four of them but then i'll put it like up across the headboard let's see let's see what it looks like look at the back it's literally just like okay so i'm just gonna use these once again because it was so simple with that i'm just gonna put them on the top two corners i'm not gonna put them like on the bottom i don't think that's necessary but since this is like flexible i could always put them on the bottom if necessary but i don't think that will be hey bro that fan is really waiting to hit me if i don't get hit by that fan one time throughout this video i'll be surprised okay that's two [Music] yeah i don't think one more of them is gonna take up that space so i'm probably gonna have to cut one to fit i might be messing it up and it probably will look ugly or no we're gonna be good yeah see i'm gonna need like what's that four inches of space to fill up we got that that's light work you know interior design is my passion these things are a lifesaver you can mount pretty much anything you want oh and it doesn't damage the walls at all which is very much a plus especially if you're running an apartment or a house you need that security deposit you know look it literally has a bald spot bruh what the you know just cutting into shape also the back of it is really easy to cut like i can literally just cut it with scissors household scissors before anyone asks for the links of this i'll link it on amazon i don't think these in particular were from amazon but you can get the same thing from there okay how's that fit it fits perfect or i don't know we should give him a lineup right here yeah let's get a brother line up okay i think that looks good okay so my bed is a mess now but we got the little you know it goes from there yeah actually from here you can really see the individual things but it's whatever i think it looks really good like is it perfect no okay so i think it's time i stopped procrastinating and actually put the curtains up because that's the biggest thing that i wanted to do actually besides the bed frame so i got the curtain rods right here these extend away oh my god okay so off camera i went ahead and put the curtains on the curtain rod i'm pretty sure these are black but they have this weird sheen to them so they look gray not black at all they look very much gray honestly at this point i don't really care but i got these little hooks right here and i can stick one of the things on the back right there yeah even on camera it almost completely blocks out the light we got the first one done it covers the picture but you know i could always just get a hair tie on each side you know and make them look real presentable when i'm not using them when i'm done setting them up i want to see how dark i can get the room this is like the last big thing because this is the last thing i was really worried about you know now once again i'm just gonna eyeball it because you know i just have a eye for interior design all i need is my eyes you feel me y'all tell me is that even to the other one i can't see just kidding i got my third eye when it comes to this interior design bro i see everything that's why i know it's perfect so obviously you can see light poking through but the actual curtain the fabric no light is coming through let's turn off the lights close that turn that off hey bro obviously light is poking out right there and there's you know that's where the line of the curtains is but there's no light going through the actual fabric bro nice okay now i literally can't see where i'm walking so right here i just got some hair ties um there's probably actual things you can buy for this but i don't feel like buying it that was good right that was fine actually yeah that's not that bad i don't think right i don't know i don't really care okay we now officially have curtains and if i ever want to change anything about them like raise them up or anything like that i can literally just take the adhesive off the wall and adjust them as i wish but that's what they look like for now and as you saw when they're closed they almost completely block out all the light that's literally what i wanted to get them for but now i still want to hang up these like these pictures as well as my play button um which i don't know where i'm gonna put any of that but i'll figure it out but for now i'm just gonna clean because i have a bunch of like everything on the floor so i'm just gonna clean all that up after that we'll keep putting stuff on the wall and figure out where everything is gonna go okay so i just got back from walmart and i got these um we got those and then we got these they're all pretty much the same thing but it's just that they're different sizes i didn't know which one i had to get for these so i just got both to be safe so i'm gonna try the smaller ones first and see if they work so you have to kind of break them apart like this okay and then let me just get one of them like that you can't even see it and see does this work it does work it does work it does work it's a pretty snug fit so let me try the other ones and see how these work they're not as snug but i think i like these i think i like the bigger ones i'm gonna put this one in the middle so let's do this one first so then i'm just gonna put the adhesive on right there okay let me move my chair out of the way so i think i'll put it like this i want to center it above my desk i mean i guess it doesn't feel that secure but i guess it works make sure it's even even though i'm not measuring anything actually that one doesn't look even low key let me keep it above actually okay it's even so that's what it looks like now you know we got the desk and we got the three pictures right here this is the i think that looks good i like it i don't think they're too high or too low i think it fills up space on the wall really well now i'm gonna put up the play button which actually hasn't been put up since i moved um i'm thinking like right here next to the tv i could do that yeah what do you think right here i mean i could always move it because the things i'm using are really easy to remove and just change i think right here [Music] next to the tv i'm thinking either right here or right here next to the plant type thing what i plan on doing is so i'm going to get an album right there an album right there and i would right there and an album right there on this side as well but also they sell led lights that go behind your tv and plug in behind your tv so they get power from your tv so whenever that's on you can have the lights on and it doesn't need to outweigh it doesn't need wires showing definitely going to get that oh sh it almost fell okay now are we good let's see i was about to put it up and you couldn't even see this is what that little area looks like at the moment i think it looks pretty good actually worst case scenario if it looks really bad you guys will just dm me and tell me like nah you should have definitely put it like right here this is what we have now right here let's open these i guess for some natural lighting it looks really good right here actually i like this angle you know we got the play button we got the grass or whatever and then we got the curtains and then we got the paint painting then we got the lamp then we got the desk then we got these three pictures right here and that's about it actually i just noticed i didn't do anything to this side if i were to just show you this it looks like i did nothing to my room but don't worry i'm gonna have stuff right there right there and then have the lights right there and then mount the thing right there but this side is definitely the main attraction and this is what you see when you first walk in but i think i might end up getting a white comforter and then get black silk pillowcases for both of them keep the green keep the white right there and then i think that'll lighten up the room a lot which i could use because there is a lot more black accents in here let's go ahead and use the curtains to black everything out and see what it looks like at night okay so this is what it looks like you know i put the curtains up and that obviously will block out all the natural light and stuff the desk over here sheesh look at the colors we got going on right here bruh the screen saver obviously this is where i'm going to be doing my editing and stuff and we got the pictures right there those look really good then we have the painting right there then we have all that right there then we have this salt lamp right here it changes colors on its own and then you know we have the fake fireplace right here it plays jazz but i like muted that that's what it looks like right here and then if we walk over to this angle that's what it looks like from there oh this is a really nice angle too but yeah all these lights and stuff i don't really have them on that often like now i would have them on you know like the last two hours before i go to sleep i'll probably have it in this lighting setup to like relax and chill out but yeah regardless i fall asleep in the pitch black so all these lights i don't sleep with any of them on but yeah we got one last little pan through right here that's what the desk area looks like and then we got this right here with the curtains and the painting then we got the brand new bed frame with the greenery i guess right there we got the nightstand with the lamp then we got the play button above it well nothing is new really here on this side but i think this looks so nice like this looks really good but yeah let me know if i should keep it pretty much as is or if i should get a white comforter but it all depends on the color scheme that you guys think i should get and you know i'll take that into account when i purchase anything compared to what it looks like at the start of the video or in my last video it looks way way better so if you made it all
