DECORATING MY ROOM *aesthetic/tiktok/pinterest inspired ROOM MAKEOVER*

[Music] [Music] hey guys it's kaitlyn today's going to be part two of my room transformation video if you haven't seen part one you should totally go watch it we just got everything taped down we've been painting literally almost non-stop here's what my closet is looking like now at ikea it pulls out into a king sized bed and then i need to obviously paint my room is very boring and plain and i don't have anything decorated or any type of color in it so in this video you'll see me put up all of my decorations and get this room to the final look that i want it to be so let me just show you what i got from amazon i'm gonna do like a quick little haul it's not all from amazon there's some other random stuff that i bought from like target ikea i'll just start off with amazon the first thing i got were some curtain string lights it came in this really bent box that kind of concerned me but it's okay i'll try to link everything down below they're like these really long big string lights which are gonna go up against this wall here with another thing that i bought the next thing i got were these vines i know it's a really basic thing to do in your room but i think it's cute so i obviously wanted to do that these fairy lights they're just like these two rounded looking fairy light things the last thing i got from amazon which i'm most excited for are some led lights i'm going to be putting these around the border trim of my closet mirror doors one thing i really liked about these lights is that all the controllers in the block thing is all white i didn't want any black cords my fairy lights unfortunately have a big fat black plug but hopefully i can plug it behind my bed where no one will see it one thing i got from ikea that i briefly want to show here because it's obviously a decoration is that i got these plants a while ago i got these when i went in to get my bed in my other room transformation video and then the last thing i got not the last thing i have more stuff coming in the mail actually but i'll just film that on a different day and then the last thing i have here is this gigantic wall mirror it is a circle mirror and i plan on putting it on top of my little desk area here and now let me give you guys a little bit of a tour of my room so here's the door and then you walk in and this is pretty much what it looks like very basic and very minimal there's literally not a single freaking decoration up right now and then over here is my closet area i was actually gonna get led lights for around under my bed area i was actually gonna try to get some to put it under this but i didn't order those in the mail yet because i didn't know if just the ones behind this mirror would be too much so i'm currently pulling out my buds so i can see a little gap because that's where the plug is that i need to plug in some things i'm going to start putting up the fairy light wall just because i think it's the easiest [Music] i just tacked the curtain of lights up here i know it's kind of sloppy but i don't know maybe i'll fix it later it literally goes from corner to corner and it matches perfectly oh my gosh here's the twinkle mode i highly recommend these lights from amazon you can get them in like the cool white tone as well i also want to plug in my led lights i have to figure out how i'm going to deal with the empty space because i know it's a little too short like the lights are gonna come down to here and then i'm gonna have this empty space i think i'm gonna unravel the whole entire thing and then start at the bottom right here it said i needed a hair dryer so i just got back from dinner a couple of minutes ago and i plugged in the led lights and guys i understand the hype about them now but i do have like an awkward gap where it doesn't light up i also need to install the app on my phone but guys oh it literally lights up my whole entire room and it feels like a dance party one of the reasons why i also wanted like the app controlled lights because i know you can get the remote controlled ones but i definitely wanted it on my phone because you can also schedule what times you want your lights to be off and there's also like music mode and you can hook it up to like sound or whatever okay guys this is like what my room's looking like so obsessed with it and i only literally put up two of my decorations so i'm just gonna kind of end today right here so i'll see you guys next time i update hey guys it's now two days later since from when you last saw me my collage kit just came in the mail like 10 minutes ago literally and i'm ready to put it up so let me show you guys what the package looks like this is the front of the box the back just has my address and when you open it up it looks so freaking cute it came with this nice little card too and here's the stack of eight by eleven so they're like a piece of paper and look at this gigantic stack of pictures i have to go through all of this i know i'm not gonna have enough pictures to cover the gigantic wall here i'll try to cover as much as i can i'm going to use painters tape [Music] i'm switching to scotch tape because the painting tape is not working i'm going to use this now [Music] it's literally five hours later it didn't need to take that long i kept on taking down stuff and putting them back up it's done it looks so good i still need to get my mirror nailed up on the wall please just ignore this part i went with the half set so it didn't have all of the pictures i had 75 prints instead of 150 i don't know i should have probably went with 151 but it was like a hundred dollars when i open up my door it just lines up here so that's not really showing when my door is open i do not really like this area but it's okay that's pretty much it for day two of decorating i guess you could say i'll see you guys whenever i do the next thing hey guys so it is september 16th i do not know the last time i updated this video but i'm just gonna update you guys whenever i do something so today i'm actually going to be putting out my blinds my vines in my room and then my dad is also going to come over to hang up the mirror and then also some shelves and then i also need to go over at some point and take these better as you can see they're kind of like peeling off and then i have my vines i'm just trying to figure out where i want to put these because my original idea was to put them in between each of these light strip things but there's not enough vines so i'm thinking about maybe putting them up in this corner i'm just gonna get to putting up some of these vines until my dad comes over to help hang up some of this stuff so yeah it's a little bit later and i put up one strand um i'm gonna put up the rest later but what i mainly want to show you guys is that i did put up my mirror and my shelves so here's what my mirror looks like with my messy desk and then over here i just have two shelves i'm gonna put all this like random kind of stuff on it and then after that i'll just get going on with the vines again [Music] i finally get to open up these plants so here's what the shelves look like it's giving me the nostalgic vibes of my old shelves they're the same exact shelves by the way but they're right over here i'm not gonna go into too much depth with everything because once again that's all for the room tour now on to finishing the vines [Music] it's day two now and we're at marshalls and i'm trying to get some pillows for my room i think i'm gonna go with these two fluffy pillows and then these pillows to break up the texture a little bit it's a little bit later and we just got back from tj maxx and i have the pillows now and then i'm also gonna put out like a throw blanket and then i'm gonna finish by putting my fairy lights around this window here that's pretty much it i kind of want to get this all done because you guys are begging for part two and i'm trying to get that up on sunday so i'm gonna have most of my room done by tonight so i can just edit the rest of this footage and then get it up for you guys so this is my bed currently i have some random normal pillows here i have this um throw blanket that i got from american eagle i haven't used it but i think this is the perfect like kind of bed and area to use that and then i also have this gray back pillow now i'm going to open up these things and then put them on my bed and organize them the way how i would want them to i just finished putting up all of the pillows and setting everything up and then also putting on this throw thing and i really really like it i think that the pillows fit it really nicely i wanted to make sure to get tall high pillows that way like this isn't uncomfortable to sit on and i wanted to make it more couch like something just you just fell for my collage kit oh my gosh speaking of this actually i have been meaning to go over with double-sided tape to fix this because if you look at my wall it's coming off slowly so i don't really recommend the scotch normal tape i guess because i did put up one picture with the double side tape and it worked out really really nicely and it also lays flatter but i just been lazy and haven't gotten to around to do my whole wall in a sense so i should do that probably sometime soon and then going off by the bed i did end up getting this chair from my sister's room which actually matches my pink office chair i'm not really big on like all of this paint but at the same time i don't know if i'm gonna have enough time to get an office chair before i put this video up i do want to get a new one though i did say this in part one and i'm saying it again in part two [Music] [Applause] i just finished putting up the fairy lights and i love how much it outlines my window i really like being able to look at them in the background while i'm looking in my mirror so that's
