D&D Story: PORTAL TIME

door to possibly techno elves and possibly their deaths and all we gotta do is walk through it but all right now just give me a second because we got two issues here issue number one the mech dragon we can't take it with us it's falling apart a bit it can be a bit unreliable well it's only shut down on us once three times and it has two soul gems in it so possibly very evil yeah but it's only trying to blow up a town it is a big death weapon so i say we bring it we'll leave it behind issue number two we can't keep this giant portal open in the middle of the belling wilds it's literally a giant beacon meaning people might come and check it out which with felix says the dm can only mean problems damn right along with who knows what's on the other side it could allow something big and bad to come over here so we need to be able to close and reopen it when we want to come back but there's no way in knowing if we can do that on the other side meaning somebody needs to stay behind got it well my identity kind of revolves around this so ditto damn you should have kept the old lady maybe i could enchant a squirrel to do it what what no you can't stay behind yeah well think of something else let him do it hey you're a real jerk you know that you can't just let him stay behind he's your friend i know that's why i'm saying he should sips i suggest you bring him he's made his decision it's for the best okay so we're down a dragon and a party member cool cool cool cool good start great start then sneeze gestures to sips to come down then he grabs his collar and headbutts him oh jesus what then pulls in and places his head on the sipses i know it'll be worth it though in the end trust me now you gotta let me go okay so he does sneeze lets him go completely and we're down a party member arena gives sneeze a ring of communication similar to the one she used with wizardly so it definitely can call through time and space just call and chat if there's any issues okay i'll call you so essentially steez becomes the keeper of the portal he can open it when we need to return and so he stays in the basement of the once standing bakery yes the basement survived that's kind of how we survived the initial portal blast we tell him if he doesn't hear from us in two weeks he can come in himself with an army if he likes i wouldn't put it past him anyway we say our goodbyes and not only to sneeze but to the bellowing wilds because we don't know what the next chapter's gonna bring what's even over there and if we're even coming back so we move forward into the our skin the air smells familiar yet not then we open our eyes to see what the a jungle kinda enormous tree-like structures towering over us along with flowers and bushes larger than anything we'd ever seen before but they're all made of stone or maybe fossilized shoulda brought more russians but we still hear birds off in the distance so we start walking as the portal closes behind us the more we travel the more the jungle comes to life plants cracking through the rock showing off bright neon colors and unique textures we've never seen before as if breaking out of cocoon further and further we descend into the jungle we see more life and less rock creatures of all shapes and sizes coming out to stare back at us curiously while wearing the same rock on parts of their bodies pulling away some of the stone from half exposed plants we find iridescent magic lining the inside this place is just teeming with magic all it has to do is come out of a chill we take a moment and see the beauty of it all but we're still in felix's campaign dammit so our guards are up and we keep moving while trying not to touch anything so what's the plan plan for sips he's obviously crazy and dangerous well i i don't think we should call i mean it clearly is kind of a problem right should we tie him up what no right he could get out of that so knock about arena okay okay we'll just have to simply kill him but with the resurrection at least until after we figure things out we need to help him help i i don't know to be honest he seems kind of gone look i'm trying to help not get my throat slit in the middle of the night by psycho monkey and sometimes it's not about you arena so for once could you try to think about helping someone other than yourself for one goddamn minute i'm sorry no it's okay i'm i'm a bit stressed yet you still want to try helping him i mean he's a big jerk dangerous and i don't think we have the tools so why why try to help him because he's our friend i know you don't like him at the moment but maybe you might be the only one who can help him arena so we have to try can you do that yeah yeah i think i can but okay so then what's the plan well right now it's just about trying to keep them alive hey what are you guys talking about sips gets hit straight to the chest by a charging mechanical raptor that just drags them all across the jungle floor [Applause] wow we're bad at this sips is holding on to this mechanically large purpley black glowing raptor for dear life it's head crushing sips's ribcage and scraping his feet against the ground causing more and more damage sips grits his teeth then rolls a concentration check as he syncs up with sonic he casts something rolls and the raptor slows down until eventually it comes to a stop the purple radiating glow coming from the raptor's chest and eyes slowly changed to a black and white color as sips and zanu have tapped into the soul gem that powers it meaning this raptor is completely under sips's and zanu's control zips control whatever these seem to be the old foreclaimer weapons i took over it seems through time they became corrupt but with my soul magic they can come under our control cool the group catches up and sips kind of gives them the lowdown on how he can now control deadly mechanical raptors isn't that awesome so awesome oh yeah let's just give the murderous monkey a dinosaur army what i i hate you arena character growth right right right i despise you close enough so seps decides to let the raptor go back into the jungle so he doesn't have to keep casting and i mean for now it's not hostile anymore and he could just call on it later if need be it's like he's creating a network a network of deadly dinos anyway we rest for the night which is not very restful as three out of our six party members don't sleep so even the sleepers are on edge awake to a new day a new day of more walking walking montage as we walk and walk and walk some more till eventually we find a trail a trail that appears to be humanoid made then we start to hear something footsteps yeah we don't hide cause it we're living for danger now its stride is determined the body is tall their armor is pristine and their gaze precise we see marching down this trail a real live foreclaimer our group panics we didn't think we would see one at least not this early and not just walking around i don't know what do we do try not to panic i'm already there then we see nearby hiding in the bushes looking straight at us another before claimer so more panic but this one doesn't look pristine with fine
