[Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] good morning and welcome to a day in my life if you're new here welcome to stay in the life video is in collaboration with a bunch of youtubers I was invited to be a part of it from running away with life Miranda over running away with life I started following her a couple months ago it feels like she does a lot of health and food related videos and I found her because she used to be on Weight Watchers she doesn't do Weight Watchers anymore but that's how I discovered her and I really just I like her style she does quick videos super practical a lot of like grocery and shopping and so I started following her and then she followed me back and then she invited me to be a part of this collaboration she thought because everybody's lives are just looking a little bit different right now and things are a little bit crazy that it would be fun for a group of youtubers to do a number of day in the life video so that you can get a feel for what everyone else is going through right now and hopefully find somebody that you relate to to be honest I haven't really checked out any of the other youtubers that are part of this collaboration but I'm really excited to watch their day-in-the-life videos - and I will link all of their channels down below so definitely go check them out if you like this style of video but I'm gonna go ahead and get started getting ready because I don't know it's nighttime to see in here in Chatham already running a few minutes later than I would like to this morning I'm also not big on a voiceover footage that's not usually my style and so this morning you got music because of my fiance was still asleep for all of that and so I didn't want to talk and wake him up but now he is awake and he's in the shower so I'm gonna just start getting ready for the day for those of you that don't know I am 28 today but when this video goes up I will be 29 I live in New York City with my fiance and my kitty Charlie during the day I work for a life insurance company doing product development right now while all this is going on I am working from home I am very thankful that I have that ability to work from home so when I say getting ready for the day I literally on sweatpants on like a super comfy soft shirt from Old Navy and I'm not planning to do any makeup but I thought I would share with you what I am doing to get ready for the day so I went ahead and washed my hair this morning the workout I did it wasn't sooo hi intense but I hadn't just don't wash my hair in a few days I felt like I really needed it I normally don't wash my hair that often and since I've been leaving the apartment I didn't feel like it was necessary it's now been over seven days I've left my apartment which is bad and I'm gonna try and change that by going out for walks and the train change but starting today I'm actually really excited this Dana life came at the perfect time because I didn't have a lot of motivation last week I didn't have a lot of energy I didn't have I don't want to do anything I literally slept in till the last second I rolled out of bed I worked at my desk on my nine-to-five at my computer and then I would eat dinner and then I would like watch TV and drink wine after dinner and that's all I did last week and it didn't feel good like I didn't enjoy it I mean I guess I enjoyed all the extra sleep in the line and like not doing anything but then at the same time it felt like like what are you doing like you can still have a routine you can still make progress on your goals even though you're not in the same routine that you've been used to thus far and so that's what I'm gonna try to change this week and so really excited for this day in the life to sort of kick me off because it totally is motivating me to stick to or at least start to stick to the routine that I'm used to and the routine that I am going to be doing for the foreseeable future before I get too far into this the products that I'm using are the way leave-in conditioner I got this and a fact that funbox and fell in love with it I love the product I hope the scent in particular from this brand is the best and then a subscriber messaged me and sent me theirs from there for have put phone box so this is my second bottle that I got from a subscriber and it's you can't it's like super milky but I think I'm like they're on it and I probably will repurchase this when I run out and then I went ahead and put some moisturizer on this one I remember I think I got originally from a sapphic fund and then I got another one in like an allure beauty box which I have since cancelled but this is the grown alchemists hydro repair day cream nothing special I just have it I actually bought a new day cream from the Ulta 21 days of beauty sale it should be here soon and then I'm gonna put on some sunscreen um I didn't do this last week because I wasn't leaving the apartment but I am like I said gonna try to go for today so I'm gonna go ahead and put on some sunscreen it's just you Audrina 70 SPF anyway is back to routine so my morning routine that I said to you today was pretty consistent to what it was before everything started the biggest difference was the only difference really was that I was leaving the apartment to go to the gym we are members of a gym our memberships are currently frozen because the gym is closed and so now I have to workout at home which I was not motivated to do last week but like I said this video totally motivated me to do it today which I'm very appreciative of so normally my routine looks pretty much the same except I leave to go to the gym alright I am putting on some eye cream I don't always put on eye cream in the morning because I hardly found one that looks good under makeup but I've really been loving this derma e ultra hydrating gel I love the most about it is the applicator so I don't have to use my fingers it has a little rollerball and it just feels so nice on my eyes I love it and that's pretty much it for my morning beauty routine if you can call it that because I'm not putting on makeup to work from home I know some people have talked about how like getting ready for the day can really make you feel a lot more productive and can make you feel prepared and ready for the day and while I am totally on board with changing out of whatever I slept in like even if I wouldn't work out in the morning I wouldn't want to wear the same thing that I slept in to work in all day I'm not putting on real clothes I'm at home and I'm gonna wear sweatpants my fiance is not the same he puts on like jeans or khakis not like a full suit which is what he used to wear before he worked from home but he will put on jeans and khakis and a button-down and it makes him feel like okay I'm in work mode and then when he's done with work mode he'll change out of that That's not me and same thing with makeup I've seen a lot of people say like I'm gonna put on makeup and get fully ready for the day for me personally and then this is just me talking the time that it takes to put on my makeup they'll like money that I spent on the makeup when I'm not going anywhere and then the effort and the time it takes to wash the makeup off like it's just not worth it for me if I'm not going anywhere alright the nice thing I'm gonna do is make my bed I would love to be the person that makes my bed as soon as I wake up in the morning but nine times out of ten my fiance is still in it when I wake up I like to wake up before him and have like the morning to myself to read a journal and all the things that you saw and he is still sleeping now when we were going to the gym he was working out with me and so I would usually make the bed like I I would change into my workout clothes and then he would get up and while he's like changing into his workout clothes and you know washing his face and going to the bathroom that's when I would make the bed before we left for the gym trying to get him to workout at home with me no no we can't go to the gym but it didn't happen today so he was still in bed that whole time but now that he is up I'm gonna go ahead and get this bed made I meant to ask you this before but how'd you get here which collab video did you watch which channel did you come from let me know down in the comments below one of the things that I have been trying to do lately because I know I don't eat enough vegetables is eating vegetables with breakfast and one recipe that I have found that I actually really enjoy in the morning is a breakfast salad which is crazy because I am NOT a big salad person I'm not someone who typically enjoy salad but it's just any sort of mixed green this is a combination of spinach and a mix cream and I got it Whole Foods and then some sort of breakfast meat so this is a chicken sausage from Applegate farms typically I would've bought the turkey one the turkey sausage but that is all the micros trésor had given the current situation and then two over easy eggs these are a little bit more done than I would like them but these are perfect and then some everything about the bagel seasoning from Trader Joe's and then the best part is the peanut sauce it's kind of like dressing on the salad and that is definitely the best part it's got a little bit of sweetness it's just perfect but it doesn't look as pretty once I try to drizzle it on there because it's kind of thick so I wanted to show you before I drizzled the peanut sauce because it looks so much prettier without it alright now I finally get to sit down and check a few things off on my planner this is my daily planner I uploaded a video yesterday by the way that walks through my entire planning system from start to finish from my Google Cal to my weekly planner it's my daily planner I talked about the whole thing and how I plan my life so if you are confused about any of my planning systems I highly recommend checking out that video I'm super excited about having that to reference when people ask about my planning system but now I get to check a few things off I finished one whole glass of water I usually do when I work out in the morning I have five check marks here because my water cup is like 12-inch 24 ounces but I always have ice in it so I'm really trying to get 100 ounces of water and then I did my morning workout I was gonna put some chili in the crock-pot but I might wait and do that for lunch it's not the dinner plan it's more I just want to have chili made for us to have for lunches during the week I was gonna do it yesterday and then I totally forgot not forgot I just didn't feel like doing it let's be real and so I might just move that and do that during lunch because it is we're gonna rain all day and while I am gonna try and go get a quick walk outside I don't think I'm gonna be able to walk as long enough gonna last as long outside so I will do that later as far as habits go I just have this on here so that I check in with my habits this is my habit tracker page so it did make the bed I did my gratitude I read this is a habit where I'm trying not to check my phone until after I workout I did not do that I've been struggling a lot with that now I think some of it is I want to catch up on the news I want to have some human interaction I just haven't been doing a good job um showering immediately after I finish working out that I did do took my vitamins and I brushed my teeth so the only morning habit I didn't really do yet is a lot more work but I'm gonna go and get myself the check here this is just that I checked in with my habits so now I'm supposed to be working on my February analytics for YouTube because I'm not commuting and getting ready I have some extra time in the morning to work on something and so this is what I have scheduled however to be completely honest it is already almost 9 o'clock between spending 15 minutes to try and convince him to work out with me and spending a little bit longer on breakfast and I always do or sometimes Sam will cook breakfast and that saves me a little bit of time and then to be honest the time that it takes to set up the camera move it around makes my whole morning take a little bit longer than normal so I don't really have time to work on this right now to be completely honest with you I might be able to find a little bit of time later so I am going to go ahead and just get set up for work and I will just have to come back to that later all right while my work computer boots up I only have one wireless mouse which is kind of a bummer and I should have just taken one for taking a mouse from the office truthfully but I when I went home that day like the last day I spent in the office I did not no this was gonna happen I didn't know the setup I didn't know how long it was me working from home luckily I do have a wireless mouse that I use on my personal laptop but the problem is it can't be hooked up to two computers at one time so every pretty much every day I will connect it to my work computer and then at the end of the day I connect it over to my personal computer so as soon as my computer boots up I have to connect my wireless mouse and then get my day set up so I've been using this notepad from Erin Condren it's kind of like the daily notepad and this has been working for me it's not gonna last forever I don't know how much longer we're gonna be working from home and I don't have another one so I'm not sure if I'm gonna order one or I mean I could do this process on a normal notepad or I haven't I might order like an actual word planner I did have a work planner at work I didn't bring it home with me because it's a weekly layout and truthfully I don't think it has enough space right now working from home I have more time I'm not spending as much time chatting with my coworkers and I also need to be more on top of it it sounds so silly but I find myself being more productive at home because I feel like I have to prove myself so I've been also using the Erin Condren tool tip marker if you watch my recent dust cleaning video I had a ton of these that I got rid of but I loved the black ones so I've been using this pen I just like the consistency of the medium sized and the way that I've been doing it is I've just been adding hours to this side so I'll start at 9 and give it two lines and put the hours down the side it doesn't take up the whole space but it takes up the first two chunks and because I'm just using this for work I only have it from 9:00 to 5:00 and then I will fill in any meetings that I have so I have a call at 9:30 and then an 11 o'clock this is a standing weekly call that we have and then I have one at 2:30 it's a pretty light day Monday's usually are people usually like to have meetings and other days and then there's a couple things that I know I need to get done today well one big thing in particular that I know I'm going to work on today I also like to add at the beginning and at the end of the day just to clean out my email and box I am an inbox zero kind of person so I like to check my email at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day and then I also like to add a little checkbox to prep tomorrow and get that all squared away obviously Monday's are different because I'm not going to prep my Monday on a Friday that's just not gonna happen I mean I guess I could that might make me feel a little bit better on Monday morning but how am I also kind of like starting my Monday this way so so far this is what my day is looking like I'm feeling once I get through my emails and after for the first couple meetings I probably will add some more to-do lists but this is a pretty big task that will take me the majority of the day even without any other to do so that is how my day is looking also I am very lucky that even in my tiny miracle permit I am able to have a desk I've always had a desk back when I first moved to the city I was studying for exams to be an actuary and so I had a desk so that I could study and then in that apartment I did also have space for a kitchen table when we moved to this apartment there was it wasn't gonna have to be one or the other I was either gonna get to keep the desk or the kitchen table and I decided to go with the desk so most of our meals we eat actually at the coffee table just a New York problem I don't have space for kitchen table so I work at the desk at my desk I I could say it's ours but let's be real to mine and Sam mostly will work in the bedroom he spends a lot of his day on calls he's in financial planning so he spends a lot of the day alcohol so he's necessarily need to be like sitting at a computer and have like a sturdy surface and he likes to walk around when he's on the phone so he goes into the bedroom shuts the door and then he's able to kind of walk around it depends he's been doing a lot of video calls lately given the situation so those help sit still and he'll just sit on the bed and and talk to them if he isn't on a video call he'll pace around the room sometimes he will come out here and sit at the coffee table if he needs to be doing work like on his laptop and he's not on the phone now if we both have to be on calls at the same time it just says he's actually on comer and I can probably slightly hear him in the background it just is what it is like there's just gonna be background noise I feel like everybody is a little more forgiving right now because they know that this is a situation there's kids in the background their spouses in the background like that's just that's just where we're at sometimes the cat walks across the keyboard that's just where we're at the only problem sometimes with shutting the bedroom door is it gets really warm out here so in New York we have see me we have radiators and we can't control them the heat that comes out of them is controlled by the building and so there's a lot of time in the winter but it gets very hot and we will offset by either opening the window if it's cold enough or yeah turning on the air conditioning during the winter now the air conditioning is in the bedroom so if he has the door shot for a good chunk of the day it gets really warm out here luckily I have my friend the fan this is Sam's fan from back when he lived without an air conditioning yep he lived in New York without an an AC unit when he first moved here so he had this fan from man so he had this fan from that part of his life and we have kept it it's nice when we have company and they like to have a fan on them when they're sleeping out here in the living room we still believe leave the door open joyfully because otherwise like at least I wouldn't be able to that way but regardless this is my fan so this is how I stay cool during the day if you havenõt watch you'll feel me so I am trying to close my Apple watch rings while I'm at home I just think I'll make me feel not so lazy and just like getting up and standing in my apartment it doesn't register that as for my sample so I have to like pace back and forth in my apartment that's what I'm doing pacing back and forth to try and get it to register my stand goal I'll stop so that you don't get to see him while we're here though I also haven't to fill up my fourth one of these which is awesome again I think I measure that it's 24 ounces but I always I sent it so I pretend that I'm drinking 20 ounces of water every time I finish one of these so I have a three down two to go which was pretty good great it is about 12:45 so I'm gonna lunch I work I feel like I'm pretty good at stopping they stop at 12:00 and go have lunch at 12:00 regardless of what I'm doing but at home I feel like I get to this groove and I just like keep working and so I was working on something and I was in a groove and I really just wanted to finish it so I finished it I pushed through and then I facetimed with my dad for a little bit just to say hi and catch up with him and he told me that yesterday they went for a walk in the neighborhood even though it was raining and that it was really nice so it kind of motivated me to like no matter what still go out for a walk today even though it's raining it might not last this long but to still try and get some fresh air so I am microwaving some leftovers now it's just leftover from last night we'll always try to cook extra if we can so that we always have leftovers for lunch so it's just some pasta with chicken and it's gonna be my lunch so I'm gonna go sit at the coffee table away from my desk and either watch a youtube video or an episode of something and like really check out and turn my brain off while I eat my lunch alright I'm a kind person that needs something sweet at the end of every maliciously I just I have a huge sweet tooth and I just feel like the meal isn't done until I have something sweet so one of my tricks I guess or something healthier that sweet that I like to have is applesauce although I realized I didn't put any I got two last time I went to the store to stock up I didn't put either of them in the fridge so I'm having a little bit of applesauce but it's warm so I'm really all that excited about it I like my office less cold I don't know that's just that's just me I don't know let me know in the comments are you a warm or a room-temperature or like a cold applesauce person so anyway I'm gonna put this in the fridge now which means my applesauce tomorrow will be cold but today it's room temperature also we don't have any tiny bowls we only have like cereal sized bowls so I am using a mug right I got my rain boots on I have my long puffy jacket because it's still a little bit chilly even though it's raining it's in the like high thirties which has a hood on it and have my Erin Condren umbrella I still think there are some of these on the site so if you didn't get one of these like run now and I'm gonna go get some fresh air I would love to take you along with me and show you some New York City sites and especially to show you how like probably Erie it looks but I truthfully do not dress myself in the rain with my umbrella and trying to like make sure that I am staying six feet away from other people like it just I don't trust myself so I am gonna go get some fresh air and hopefully stay dry before all this craziness happened I didn't drink coffee every day truthfully I only drink coffee if I like didn't get a good night sleep or I had a super really flight or just something that felt necessary like something was causing me to be more tired than normal if I got minor amount of sleep and I worked out and all those things I I didn't eat coffee being at home I have found that I need something in the afternoon I need a little bit of a pick-me-up help me get through the afternoon and it's just kind of nice to have something to sip on during my afternoon meetings it always feels like the meeting serving the afternoon so I have been enjoying this mushroom coffee from for sig Matic not sponsored I know a lot of youtubers use this stuff but I really happen to love it for a couple reasons one I like the flavor - I like the like the extra stuff that it comes with because it really does feel like it helps me focus 3 I like that I can make it with just my kettle and I don't have to have like a coffee pot or a cure on my counter space because in our tiny apartment we don't have a lot of counter space so I like that I can just use my kettle because I like him in my kettle out all the time to make tea anyways so you're supposed to mix it with 7 ounces or 100 milliliters I have sort of stopped measuring it out because I can kind of tell at this point where that is and then based on the color of the coffee like I can tell that it's done and then I get to use my frother so my dad got me this for my birthday like years ago I don't even honestly don't remember when and I was so bad about using it because of the lack of counter space I kept it up in a cabinet and it just didn't seem worth it every time I would make coffee to get it down and like froth milk instead of just add milk to my coffee and so now that I have counter space for it I put I used to have a cure in here by the way and then I put the Keurig down under the sink to make space for the frother and the kettle used to be over on top of my microwave over here that's where my teapot is and this little date calendar which I guess I can pull because it is Monday the 23rd I keep a thing of sugar I don't need sugar in my coffee anymore but sometimes I like to add it for a little bit of sweetness and then these are magnesium pills that we're trying to take with dinner to help us sleep really more for Sam he has trouble sleeping sometimes so I have them here in the kitchen because you're supposed to take them with food instead of in the bedroom but truthfully we've been forgetting to take them but that's what's on top of the microwave so the kettle used to be over here too and the Keurig used to be over here but now that I put the Keurig away because I'm bringing you know instant coffee I can have space for the frother and then I can have this delicious latte I can never remember which one is frothing which one seen between latte and cappuccino but either way it's it's delicious and it feels like an afternoon treat to enjoy while I keep working with work I usually try to sign off pretty much right at 5:00 unless I got a min no groove and I'm trying to get something done or there's like an urgent thing that needs to get done and those come up from time to time and there are some crazy things going on right now at work but nothing on my end that's super urgent right now so for now I'm gonna take advantage of being able to sign off at 5:00 I had a very productive day even though I got another call scheduled that was supposed to be an hour and went for like an hour and 25 minutes it was a very very long technical called I am very happy I made coffee before that let's just put it that way and then I went in and set up my notepad for tomorrow and a whole lot on the list yet there's one thing that I think I'm gonna have to move over from today that they did not get done because I'm waiting on something from someone else and is the story of my life with work a lot I think I already mentioned that I do product development for life insurance but if I didn't here it is again and so a lot of my stuff is is getting information and waiting on other people so there is one thing I wanted to do today that I didn't do because I'm waiting on someone else so I'm gonna move that to tomorrow's list as well and then close my computer and be done for the day I am gonna rearrange evening just a little bit so originally I had came up with this idea for this week just sort of helped me with my mindset during all of this was to have a buffer period so to speak between work and after work and normally that's my commute normally I'm on the subway and I listen to a podcast I kind of unwind and I thought why don't I go sit on my patio now my patio is disgusting by the way it is it's gross and it needs to be cleaned but I don't really know how much long we're gonna stay in New York and is it worth the time and the money to clean for like that amount of time so regardless it is not an ideal space to hang out but when I can't get fresh air anywhere else I thought I'm gonna go sit on my patio and read a book and that's gonna be my like transition between work and not work today though because it's raining I'm not gonna go sit outside I'm just gonna go sit on my couch and like put everything away put my phone in the kitchen in a different room and sit and read and that's gonna be my like unwind before I do that though I'm gonna prep a video I was planning to do this like prepping the video way later tonight like after dinner after the Garth Brooks concert if I mention that yet Brooks is going live at 7 today and I'm watching with my dad I'm so excited so I'm gonna rearrange a little bit I'm gonna continue to sit at my desk for just a little bit longer and prep that video and then I'm gonna take my reading break and then I'm gonna cook dinner and then all that should be done by the time the concert starts and then after the concert hopefully there will be time to do the thing I didn't get done this morning which is the February analytics if it doesn't get done it doesn't get done I'll move it to another day but that's sort of how I'm envisioning my evening playing out at this point well so I felt like earlier I was a little bit bratty about my water and I was like oh I'm about to fill up my fourth one still on the fourth one and it's like tier maybe like I saw the long way to go and I will drink a lot with dinner but if I'm gonna finish this one and a whole nother one before I go to bed I have some work to do another one of the things that I like to do to transition from work to home and I used to do it just when I got home from work is a lighted candle I would love to be able to light a candle all day well but holy moly I would run out of candles and I can't go buy more so for now I'm just gonna light the candles after I'm done working well that's laid plans I thought it was gonna read to unwind from work and literally as I'm sitting down on the couch to pick up my book my mom calls part of me was like oh I kind of just want to read and not answer it but like it's my mom and I love my mom she's my best friend and especially in times like these I just feel like we need human connection we need to talk to each other so I answered and she was going out for a walk like I just thought maybe we could chat while I walk so I tried of my mom for like 30 minutes and then all of a sudden at 6 o'clock my phone starts ringing again with a call from life in general and I completely forgot that I had signed up for this so if you don't follow life in general over on Instagram she is an incredible woman who has created this organization Empire basically where they professionally organize people's homes but it's like her business and because a lot of their appointments have obviously been canceled they have been doing these five minutes over Instagram consultations to help you with a space in your home that you need help with and I responded last week and said like I'm available I'm home all the time like whatever works and they had slated me for 6:00 p.m. today 3 p.m. Pacific they're in California and I had my planners look I knew was happening but I lost track of time talked to my mom and then you know life in general literally climby so I answer it it's like a video call and it's literally hurt it's literally Jen from life in general and I was like I have a little bit of Starship for a second I have met her before actually I go she spoke at a planner conference that I go to every year called go wild so it wasn't like like I met her before I knew she was anyway it was crazy and so I showed her my fridge that is what I decided was the space I wanted to share and she gave me a little bit of feedback and then she basically told me that she's gonna send me links to two organizers that she thinks are the best for fridges and that it's really hard to maintain organization and fridges without some sort of system like without some sort of product that she would send me links and some tips on fridge cleaning and if I have any questions that I can message her back and she send her pictures of the fridge she was looking at it on the video but Ted's like then send her pictures that she could reference while she was making a plan for me it was really really cool and then she also told me to give myself a little bit of grace because right now my fridge is more stocked than it normally is and it's gonna be hard to contain that given this current situation and just let it go for a little bit do what I can with the tip the tips that she gives I might not order the products and I'm really torn there's a lot of different information on whether getting things delivered is safe and like does it restart my 14 day clock when I get a package so I might not order any of the products until this is all over with or I can get my hands on some Lysol spray because we are currently out but I'm excited to have that information and all those links and to have some like practical advice for my fridge like my specific courage not just like how to organize a fridge so that's really for you cool and then I called my mom back afterwards to tell her like about this is really cool and then of course I ended up talking to my mom for another 20 minutes and then all of a sudden I was like it is 6:20 and we need to eat dinner at a reasonable time and I'm still trying to get done before this Garth Brooks concert at 7 p.m. so I am making a hello freshman tonight again not sponsored at all I know they sponsor a lot of YouTube videos I have been buying my hello fresh consistently since January I did it off and on before then as well but consistently since January I have been getting hellofresh every single week it has been very helpful for us one of the things that we do because the calories I mean they're not crazy like the one I'm making tonight is 580 but to sort of make it stretch a little bit further what I'll do is I'll add a vegetable and so I'll take half of the meat and half of they always have like a carb or starch and then do add my own vegetable end so the meat and the starch I split into four basically like our dinner tonight and then lunches for another day and then the vegetable I'll just slit into two for dinner tonight and then I'll make an additional vegetable to go with the lunches the leftovers that I'm putting away and that's kind of how I make it stretch longer which is good because it's not cheap as well as make it a little bit healthier because we're eating a smaller portion of everything but the vegetables and I also though having a glass of wine speaking of healthy Cheers so I just got done chopping up the potatoes I like I just doing this while I was talking to my mom so now I'm gonna add the rosemary and some salt and pepper to the potatoes and get these going and then I will get started on the rest of it which is basically searing the meat and then putting the meat and the green beans in the oven as well and then making the sauce so tonight's meal is pretty easy and delicious we've actually had this one before I forgot to put my preferences in last week because the days the tasters all planted together last week and so I forgot and they pick for you when you don't choose not that I don't like it but I try to get new things try different things um but it's fine it'll be good so here's my pork I'm searing it and and basically having all the sides he cooks on the stovetop and then I will add it to this pan with the green beans to go in the oven and join the potatoes check on so let's see how the potatoes are doing I know that they're gonna take a lot longer and then once all that is done I will make the sauce which is chicken stock jelly some sort of balsamic vinegar rosemary and shallots which but all of those things just sound delicious so um the instructions are super easy if you've never tried hello fresh again totally not sponsored paying for all this myself but I highly recommend especially now even though I am nervous to get packages for now I'm still staying signed up for whole afresh because I think that having to disinfect the package and you clubs and all that's up it's safer than going to the grocery store and so the fact that we can get three meals really sick cuz we slip them deliver it every week it's really helpful right now all right since I'm not quite done cooking and it's almost seven o'clock I decided to set up my laptop in the kitchen so that I can watch Garth while I finish cooking Sam is on a call anyway so I might end up just waiting for him to eat that's that's not true I'm starving so I'm gonna eat mine as soon as it's fresh and when he gets off his call he'll eat here's the final product oh this one toppled over a little bit looks really good all right and normally what I do if I am working when I get home from work I will try to wash my off as soon as I get home from work so this part of the routine is pretty much the same because I would have washed my makeup off hours ago so what I'll do when I'm getting ready for bed is I will run some sort of toner over my skin just to get off all the extra like grime that got on my skin over the past few hours now when I'm working from home and not wearing any makeup it's the whole day but it's just to kind of get all that off without actually washing it I've washed my face in the shower earlier today so that's the only time that I really use a cleanser on my skin nowadays I haven't quite decided if that's right or not like if I should be washing it now but it feels like too much to wash it twice a day when I'm not even putting makeup on it and I'm only going outside for like 20 minutes to walk so I don't know and then I've been using this LMS night recovery cream it's from my fabfitfun box which coming later this week fYI it's super late for spring I know I filmed it weeks ago truthfully it just has taken me a while to edit but it'll be up later this week but that's what I've been using at night is this cream oil combo which I kind of like I really like the way that it feels I have naturally like slightly oily skin this time of year it's not super oily but it's still trends towards oily and then I've been using in this pharmacy eye cream which I think might also be from without that Sun box I don't totally remember and then I will brush my teeth [Music] I chop stick on my Knights and I will put on before I go to bed I don't have that here in the bathroom but I'm feeling really on top of it I will floss I use a Waterpik that I really like but I am feeling a little lazy tonight I will do that to me truthfully I did not do anything after the concert the concert ended about 8:00 and I was on such a like country music kick that I started playing country music hundred YouTube and dancing around the apartment and then Sam was like can you just stop like he likes country and not as much as I do and so now I think we're gonna get a bed and watch a movie just kind of relaxing I'm trying to embrace this sort of take it slow mentality I think that there's something to be said for this time in our lives that is forcing us to take it slow and be at home and I worked on my April calendar a little bit yesterday and I was sort of building in a little bit more margin than I normally do I'll talk about that a little bit more in my April plan with me but I built in more margin for April than I have any other time in my life I think normally I try to max out my 24 hours in a day and I'm trying to just take it a little bit slow right now and kind of embrace this season of rest and like relaxation except I know it's not totally relaxing and I know there are a lot of emotions a lot of other feelings and anxiety and fear and it and it's very difficult and so whatever you're feeling know that you're not alone there's somebody else in this world that is feeling the exact same way as you there's somebody else that is at the same stage as you I talked about this a little bit on Instagram if you follow me over there at plan with Lake Inn I talked about it today where I felt like there was this like kind of roller coaster of the self isolation and you know the first day that we made the decision to to self isolate and stay at home I went to the grocery store I made a meal plan I made a to-do list I did all these things and I was kind of like up here in productivity and then I sort of crashed and I was incredibly unproductive and I just all I wanted to do was was nothing I literally would roll out of bed and go to work and then watch TV I talked about earlier and that was it was rough and I had no motivation and no energy I was just tired and just not just it felt awful and then Saturday I kind of started to pick back up a little bit and today I finally felt like my self I finally felt like I was finding a rhythm finding a routine feeling happy and feeling excited about things that have no date I mean there is no date there is no idea when there's gonna be any sense of normal what that even means anymore we have no idea and I think for me I've just sort of accepted or my body has accepted and finally got on board with the fact that this is the new normal and I'm not going to live it sad and scared and on my couch and I'm going to take advantage and do things now that's a little different than my life did before and that's okay but I finally feel like today and what I did today is is good and happy and fulfilling I'm still scared I'm still unsure and I'm still a little bit anxious deep deep down but I also am excited about what I can accomplish during this very strange but hopefully restful time so I am gonna go ahead and close out this day in the life of videos that I can watch movie and hang out with my fiance if you liked this video please give it a
