Plum Paper Planner Unboxing! Home, Meal and Budget Add Ons | ME layout

it is here my planet paper planner arrived today I have not looked at it other than to do that still in its plastic I've just open the box so you don't see your dress label but let's get stuck in okay so he up goes take this out get rid of the box so it has come up with oh okay a sample of the cover material so you can try tearing and see how strong it is although I'll be honest once you've got the car Bob sure if you need the sample because it's right here and then a couple of little sheets of stickers these are cute are they they kind of in a font and things remind me of kekeke a stickers but they are very cute I'm really interested to see sticker sizing because I have Erin Condren because it's you know that I've bought from Etsy in places like that and I don't know if any of them are going to fit and I can't really find any fun makeup planner sticker shop from Australia that's gonna go okay so I chose this gorgeous kind of mustardy cover with floral you could have it customized with whatever you like along the bottom so I went for Ellen plans living life well and I traced to have the year you don't have to and obviously this is a July to June planner so it's a 2021 the coil feels lovely and sturdy the cover so it has like a plastic cover and then the cover made out of the same material as the sample card which does feel nice and strong but it's nice to have the plastic just to give it that extra extra bit um you can get I think covers for plum plantings but I'm not really somebody changes my cover so I didn't really look any further into that okay so let's set a a good feel of the paper that's what it's all about it actually feels lovely yes it is smooth compared to the truth you paper of an Erin Condren but it still has a lovely thickness and that actually feels lovely and silky to write on well to feel I'm sure it will to write on I'll give that a go okay so it's got the 2020 year at a glance and then 2021 year glance I'm not really if I will use those pages it is handy to be able to reference but I'm not sure what I would use them for ok then special dates which runs from January to December so it doesn't change whether you're getting a gender December planner or like me a July to June but that's fine I just love the fact that it doesn't kind of say you know too much it just has lines so you can use that for whatever you want and then ideas plans and goals so just the same boxes but without any headings so love that and then we get into July so you've got a blank note page I got the colorful version so this is obviously why it's colorful let's have a look so the monthly kind of dashboard page I've heard that this can be a little hard to write on because it is shiny to be honest I'm not hundred percent sure if I will use that but I have got sharpies to give it a go to see if I want to use it and then a page of notes and then went into a beautiful simple monthly view which I really really like and the things it does have the American holidays in their interest to you and then to do so let me hold it I'll show you this side first you get to choose what you have for like each of these headers which is what I really was looking for in a planner because I like things that I can customize so I chose for it to say this week and just have dot points so that's where I can keep my to-do list that's things that I need to get done throughout the whole week this one you could have something written there but I decide to have nothing because I might pop a sticker there it is skinnier looking than like this space you put a sticker and erin condren so I've to have a look at that and then each of these you can choose a heading I left the bottom one blank so that I can use it for different things throughout the year but I've given myself a today so that's four appointments and things like that for during the day afternoon so that's really good me for after-school curricular activities that kind of thing a little to do this for the day a spot to write meals for the day finance so bills that are due that kind of thing and then a blank line I mean how cool is that to have that much space - right in all your different things you've got for the week as you can see it flips across so these two are kind of grayed out because it starts on the first of July it goes through green and then into August is like a lighter green than September's like a mint October's like a it's almost like a darker mint and in November's darker again so I like that it's kind of like an ombre feel as you go down through all of the months but let's keep flipping and see because I did get some additional pages put in so I'm excited to see them alright so we go through the whole of July and then this is one of the add-ons I did so you can add in budget pages each month so it has the month the monthly income starting balances goals budget goals notes and then fixed expenses so bills that kind of thing and then on the back and it's got a whole spot so you can write in all the months expenses and things like that how cool is that and I also got as another add in I got the monthly cleaning pages so you can write a list of things you want to get done in the kitchen and dining living room bedrooms bathrooms office and bonus room for the month and then tick them off I just love that so much I really wanted something that could be like an entire planner in one which you just can't really get from Erin Condren then on the back of that monthly cleaning you can choose your own pop your things in so it could be like even outdoor stuff gardening stuff that kind of thing okay once we go through the each month is exactly the same so as you can see each month has the budget page and then I'm CLE cleaning page but then when we get through to the end of June which is the last month I have in the planner I'm just going to try and zoom in but try not to cut anything off I chose a couple of extra add-ons and they give you a whole tabbed section when you choose these add-on so the first one is home first page you're looking at is a list of your home service provided so you can write the company in your account number and the phone number for electricity water gas trash and recycling internet cable security insurance and then it's got four blank ones you can choose I mean how handy is that to have that all listed every member of your family can know where to find it it's really like more like a household management binder as well as being your weekly planner in here okay home maintenance and this one is divided into seasons so for spring indoor/outdoor summer indoor/outdoor fall indoor/outdoor and winter indoor/outdoor so I'm really excited to be able to list out the things you know when you do them and you think oh I've got to remember to do that next year because it's so handy to have you know it in spring makes sure that the barbecue is cleaned and things so it's ready to use for summer so that is just fantastic master cleaning schedule with a daily weekly monthly and annual so it's got kitchen bathroom bedroom living family room utility spaces entry port outside other tasks and a great big note section you guys this planner has just got everything you would need for a whole year of planning this also comes in the home when you buy the home bundle and it's a laundry guide with some things about that it's got a bit of a fabric care cheat sheet it's got some things about how to separate your laundry and what all the symbols on your clothes mean and then into the gardening so it kind of talks about companion planting here and then it's got spots for to you for you to put your garden notes of each season and then I'm just trying to this is part of the home section that's right because the home section did have some little bit of meal planning but I also got the meals as an extra one so if you didn't need as much detail in the me as I like to have you could just get the home section and use this it's got a spot for family favorites from breakfast lunch dinner recipes to try it's got a spot for monthly goals and then a double page spread of home projects which again I just love because I've always kept this list in my Erin Condren somewhere but this way has actually got a dedicated spot with a dedicated tab in the my home a gifting list I mean guys doesn't this just have everything honestly it is and it just feels really nice to hold it's got a really good weight and the paper feels gorgeous again not toothy but just gorgeous to feel okay so after the gift list there is a shopping list it has item store amount and whether it's a need or a want so this would be a good spot you could keep say lists for upcoming clothes you know that the kids need you think oh yeah we're heading into winter and no one has jeans that fit so you could actually keep a list of that here so you can refer back to it which is just brilliant and again I have the extra budget tab but to be honest this Home tab kind of has it all in it anyway doesn't it so you've got monthly bills where you've got room to write the bill and then you can tick off when it's paid each month other expenses notes and then on this side you've got your passwords which I know Erin Condren does have a spot for passwords but this looks a lot longer in my mind for them like the amount of passwords you'd be able to keep in there okay a yearly expense overview which is lovely it just to do a little you know check as you go through the year to see if you're keeping on track and especially because you can write notes so one thing I like to do is let's say in March the expenses might look a lot higher than the other month but I love that there's a note spot so you can write you know notes in March the car needed a major service or you know we had like the dishwasher stopped working we had to purchase a new dishwasher so that you can actually you know not just see the numbers but see the reasoning behind the numbers and then important contacts again I love that that is at the very end of the home tab so you can tell family friends babysitter's anything like that to just flip to the very back and there is all the details you would need if there's an emergency okay on it to the meals tab I'm very excited about so the first page kind of talks about building a balanced meal and has a spot for some favorite recipes I'm liking that and then this one this is quite good actually guidelines and conversions I like that although I wonder oh yeah here look to see it has Fahrenheit to Celsius which is very helpful because you know here in Australia we use Celsius but a lot of recipes I look up our American and when I'm talking about my own recipes online I have to always Google to convert so that's great also some substitutions what to do if you say don't have an egg or don't have white flour and there's some other substitutions I love that just got a hair on it some spots for shopping lists and then this is why I really wanted the meal section it has a meal planning section now this is I don't even know how many let me count one two three four five six seven eight nine ten twelve so twelve pages and on the front is the meal plan and on the back is a spot for a shopping list how cool is that because one thing I find is that I like to keep my meals as you saw I've got a tab on each day but I really like to be able to look back and see some of the meals that you know maybe we loved and then we forget we're having all the way we like to eat a bit differently depending on the season so I love that I can go back and look at sorry I'm loose losing here um I can go back and look at a whole week and often see one two three four so each one is a whole month of things and you've got enough room there to write in everything I was going to say I'll probably just running the dinners most of the time but so we're going away on vacation and it's someone we're going to be cooking for ourselves I can use that to write it but because you can do a whole month on this page I'm gonna have enough for more than the whole year how cool is that so I'll be able to look back at a whole year of meals at once okay then we flip into grocery stores and markets and takeout restaurants and favorites again I love this for when you can write in the store and the things you buy because you know when you're making a shopping list I don't know it's the same way you live but where I live will worked as some things that we like and Kohl's doesn't have that brand or Kohl's has some things that we like can we can't get them from Woolies so I can just keep a little list here and then when I'm making my shopping list it's easy to refer back it's also great if you've got you know like a smaller store that maybe you only go through every now and then or even for us Costco it's not a small store but there are certain things that I love to get when we go to Costco and so it's great to be able to have a list and say every time you go to Costco even if you haven't run out if you see the vegan choc chip cookie dough you should buy it that kind of list and fund it for takeouts and then an annual grocery spending tracker how good is that gonna be they look back on I'm gonna really enjoy that because I love to see something like this where it's the whole year at once I'm so excited I'm talking fast sorry about that guys um the last edit on section I got was budget you guys know I love a little bit of personal finance so I as you saw I chose to get the budget pages each month but then this was also a whole separate section that you can get and each separate section is only I don't know maybe about four dollars four dollars fifty something like that I will pop it on the screen here cuz I'll just have to look it up just to make sure I'm giving you the right information but it's not killer expensive when you're adding in these extra sections like you might imagine it would be so here you can list your bank accounts here is another yearly cash flow overview so like I said there is one of these in the home section but I chose to get both the home and the budget section I will choose which one to use and then just not use the other one but I wanted both to see how they worked monthly assessment monthly budget with all your variable expenses and again so how many of these do I have 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 so that'd be the whole year perfect so it must have included 12 to do the whole year so that is great and then on this one you can list I mean look how much space there is to list bills guys I'm just gonna how cool is that so you can list every bill how much don't know about having a date when you've got a tick I guess it's if it's something like our Netflix is John the 30th of the month so I could put that in and then tick it along but then you'll be able to just look through the whole year and know what's paid or even if it's something you only do once you know you can put in your car insurance when it hours is due I think in March so you just tick that then when you're doing your budget you can go down and see well how many bills do we have that I drew in that month or in the first quarter of the year it just gives you that real overview of your finances for the year which I love debt tracker hopefully everyone doesn't have too much of that to be tracking and then at the end I got some extra pages of grid pages which you could choose to do it has another page of passwords a page of contacts so I think these come with every planner I think this is the at the end of the thing so another page of contacts us holidays and then this is the little you know envelope thing that comes with it and I also paid to get the extra to get a plastic one because I like to be able to keep invitations you know that kind of thing with me in my planner and I love that you could have paid to have added oh my gosh you guys I am absolutely and utterly in love that has got everything you need in a planner I will put along here now the total cost and the kind of breakdown of things but this planet literally has it all and it could be your one and only planner for the year love it love it love it if you have any questions let me know I know I went through that very fast I hadn't even looked at it so I kind of just talking off the cuff so if there's anything you want to see or hear about I will do some more once oh my gosh how pretty is that um I will do some more once I'm trying out some stickers and that kind of thing and obviously you will see a plan with me soon this starts in July though so it will be a little ways off but I am going to be doing some feeling in of it that was a long very talkative one as I said any questions let me know down below but so far it gets a big thumbs up from me so I was said I was just gonna put the numbers on the screen but it's actually quite a few numbers so I thought it might be easier for me to run through it verbally then pop it on the screen but I will pop the kind of main bits on the screen so the base planner is 32 US dollars and then you have add-ons so to customize each section on that weekly page where I had meals and school and today not school today afternoon that kind of thing that costs four dollars this is all gonna be US dollar so I won't keep saying US dollars the vinyl pocket at the back was a dollar 25 the meal planning budget and my home sections each four dollars fifty and then to get the budget pages dispersed through for each month was four dollars fifty and the cleaning pages to have them each month was to do a lot of $2 sorry so that came to a total of $56 seventy-five u.s. shipping here to Australia was 19 at 75 us I didn't even add up that total 76 something like that something ran there I ordered it on the 26th of April it was shipped so it takes longer I think because you are getting it customized they have to build it and then coil it it was shipped on the 9th of May and it arrived here in Melbourne on the 18th of May so the actual shipping was really nice and quick it was true FedEx I was able to track it the whole way which was great so there you go obviously even with all those add-ons I did it's under sixty US Dollars so I think it's a really fair price especially when compared to other planners on the market
