hello there my name is jennifer and i'm an analyst in deloitte risk and financial advisory you may be wondering what a typical day in the life of a deloitte risk and financial advisory analyst looks like and i'm here to show you come on in the exciting part is that the typical day varies as our risk and financial advisory practice helps organizations effectively navigate business risks and opportunities to gain competitive advantage in recent months deloitte has quickly and efficiently adopted a primarily virtual working model in the short term to protect the well-being of our people as we continue to drive outstanding service to our clients and stay closely engaged with our team members typically i start off each day meeting with my engagement team today we're preparing for a status meeting with our client who engaged us to help them navigate their regulatory requirements including sarbanes-oxley 404 compliance i have a great relationship with the client we email regularly about pending items and they're very approachable today i'm responsible for presenting the several control related issues we identified in our assessment we will also be advising them on how to remediate these findings by designing new controls and critical i.t processes delight risk and financial advisory provides a great foundation to help accelerate and develop your professional skills early on you get direct exposure to clients and can work on a diverse range of projects with the encouragement and mentoring of my team i feel confident while leading our client meetings when i have time in between meetings i try to catch up on my inbox and i just received an email from our inclusion council at deloitte we are also empowered to prioritize our well-being most days after lunch i take my dog for a walk to recharge before my afternoon this is just a glimpse of my day in risk and financial advisory where i can make an impact that matters you
