[Music] [Music] good morning it is five something i'm just getting ready to leave the house and go to work so we're actually going back to a project that we've been on in the past so i have a video of us doing a shed slab i don't remember when it was uh uploaded but it was a while back and i actually lost money on the slab and i was okay with that because it was for a good cause and also i'm going back to that job because that shed slab was part of a bigger much bigger project so we're headed out there today we're going to do a front sidewalk and then there's a patio part of a driveway the patio has a fire pit pillars a little seat wall it has color to stamp border color and stamp concrete around the uh fire pit area so it's a pretty cool project so uh sorry i haven't been getting back to many of you on the comment section i still have this neck thing going on where i'm in a lot of pain i'm not able to just spend as much time as i would like to sitting at the computer so all right i will see you guys at the coffee shop how much garbage do we make good morning greetings how are you people today good how's the coffee business today it's doing fine i think we'll see you next time thank you you can go on a white truck you can take the white truck over there so i got everything on there already brian had the blower in his trailer i knew i put it on the truck dude i knew i did i knew i did man that enclosed trailer yes sir he said it he said the other one broke so he grabbed it i knew i put it on the truck yeah i needed a blower so i was going to get his blower last night i was like hey that's our blower i think we're pretty much ready to go we're going to go there get off what we need i'm gonna rip out the front sidewalk and then we'll start setting the front sidewalk us three are off next dirt wednesday through friday but i got work but i got plenty of work for you plenty of work so don't be thinking you're going on no vacation or something i need help saturday are you busy yes or no [Applause] what kind of answer is that man yeah i'm assuming maybe i can consider that a no it's a half all right we're fueling up at the gas station fuel's expensive but how i look at it is it we're burning fuel we're making money so i don't mind fueling up as soon as your fall pull up so the next guy can get in there take it easy man it's on 190 bucks already i'll come back come on how much fuel does this thing take i know that's what i'm saying thank you we're going down silver spring we're going this way we're going that way to pilgrim morning i already know you don't have no work boots how's it going it's doing okay good while we're here yeah all right so we're gonna dig in and make some noise and get something done today uh i need the breaker yeah a plywood and a breaker i heard something about some donuts in here all right now we're talking yeah these are some big donuts there's uh water and gatorade over here awesome thank you in here hey i know you've been watching the videos are you trying to get best customer ever award it's gonna be tough to do all right so we're here on the job i have the uh plans here for what we're doing but i'll just explain it to you uh so this front sidewalk's coming out up to the edge of the driveway and uh we're gonna put a new uh nice curvy sidewalk we're going to come up off the stoop curve it around curve it back kind of a nice gentle s-curve so we're going to do that the majority of the work is in the back we are going to take out some of this driveway all in front of here has settled and there's some crack sections there and we're coming around basically a u-shape all around the perimeter so then in the back here we're removing all the existing concrete and we're going to put a nice new curvy sidewalk in which is going to flare into the service door here and then this plain gray patio which is in bad shape is coming out and what we're gonna do is we're gonna create a bigger patio and we're gonna put a stamped ribbon around the outside and over here on this corner it's gonna flow into a circle area here with a fire pit in the center we're going to do a seat wall with a pillar on each side and then the border is going to run up there we're going to increase the size here and then this shed here we're going to put an apron on right in front of the front door we're gonna put an apron so this shed here i made a video about when we poured the slab and the high school students came and built the shed if you look back in my uploads you'll probably see a shed slab gone wrong sort of i think is the title so all right we're gonna get started [Music] so [Music] [Music] tell bob to pull ahead and pull your truck there i'm gonna put the dirt in your truck all right you have to wake him up though [Music] so so all right so this sidewalk's all excavated out uh we're gonna go ahead and start laying the forms in got about six inches um four inches that'll be concrete a couple inches of that will be compacted gravel base so i'm gonna start up here it's gonna be a nice curvy sidewalk i'm gonna get started laying the forms out [Music] he's gone again fell asleep man we've here we've heard bob driving around the neighborhood i don't know how many times but he hasn't showed back up on a job he doesn't remember where we are there he is he's only been driving around the neighborhood for about 20 minutes wow come on bobby we heard you driving around the neighborhood for a good 15 minutes yeah right six seven times see now what we're doing is we have this side established for the height now you just take that side and you give it about a quarter inch per foot going this way which looks like about a quarter of a bubble on a level i'll show you what that looks like that's about the pitch you're looking for on a standard level we call it a quarter bubble keeps it simple and guys don't mess it up quarter bubble quarter bubble all right so sidewalks all set up now all really we have left to do is put gravel in and compact it you can see under the forms there's room for about three inches of gravel that's how you want to dig them you know two three inches of gravel minimum on even a sidewalk nice curvy sidewalk so we're going to grade this compact it and then it's pretty much ready for concrete darryl you brought a whole lunch for me of course wow thank you he's just trying not to get fired i know i'm trying to keep on your good side yeah exactly it's my anniversary today happy anniversary brother thank you how many 21 years oh right 21 years of marriage maybe i'll show my wife nobody's ever seen my wife before on youtube all right so we're after lunch now sidewalks graded ready for concrete just to need to lay some reinforcement in there and we're ready to go with that for tomorrow morning if the weather holds up because they're saying that the weather is not supposed to be good tomorrow all right it's breaking out this step here it's tied into the poured wall and it's got rebar in it so it's a little bit more difficult you just got to take it slow you don't want to damage the house at all [Music] [Music] this is all excavated back here now for the new patio you can see it's much larger than the old one and uh guys are setting some forms right where daryl's standing where he's holding the tape measure off the pin and that's going to be a fire pit which we're going to put in tomorrow and then around this area here there's going to be a seat wall all the way around with a pillar on each end all right so we're just grading out the patio area getting it ready for block i have block that's ready to be picked up so as soon as this is graded we're going to go ahead and start laying block in the morning [Music] all right we're taking off it's afternoon so patio as you saw we dug it all out this is pretty much set so what we got going on back here oh first of all we're pouring a step that's going to be colored and stamped that step and then there's borders on the exterior of this patio 16 inches wide which we'll get a better picture of once we uh once we put the forms in so this is the fire pit area here this is how i do it so there's actually going to be a seat wall halfway around this way what i like to do is i'll set a form like this backwards see how the forms inside out so what i do is i'll actually lay the blocks right against that form and that's how i get a perfectly radiused uh seat wall and then i'll pull that form out and then we obviously will pour right against the concrete block then and there's going to be a pillar here and then a pillar directly across so all right so the weather's not looking good tomorrow but hopefully we'll see you guys tomorrow morning all right it's about 11 o'clock on a thursday night and i'm up working like usual and my wife is up working as usual so i thought today would be a good day to introduce the channel to my wife this is trish and the reason that i thought today would be a good day is because today is our 21st wedding anniversary it's july 22nd today and we've been married for 21 years she's the mother of our seven children and that's why she's up working at 11 at night so i just wanted to introduce her to you all because you've been asking so she's a great wife and i couldn't do half of the stuff that i do without her you
