So in the video he said he took a stock Dino and put in a motor from an F40 that was bored out to 3.6L. Then he said he has an agreement with the shop that made it where they will make 25 more over a 5 year span, so 26 cars total. My question is where are they getting the 26 F40 engines?
Finding 26 Dino's to modify shouldn't be too difficult, but F40s are so valuable that even if you wreck one, you could still rebuild it. Are they just casting their own block to the same dimensions as an F40 engine and then boring it out? Or can you buy F40 crate motors from the factory?
The interactions between Jay Leno and David Lee are interesting. There was a video that had an awkward moment where David randomly asks, "Do you like sushi?" Jay simply replied "No."
I remember someone posted the article about this and there was a comment saying it would be on Jay Leno's Garage. Here it is. Definitely not surprised, this is his fifth time on.
This has got to be the coolest modified Ferrari, right? Considering they're not often modified in the first place, I can't imagine anyone has done something has sweet as this. I love the shot at 3:28, stunning rear quarter and those wheels are perfect.
Did you catch that Ferrari Purists shouldn't be upset about it because it looks factory and has a Ferrari engine? I missed it the first ten times. But otherwise, beautiful car.
Oh. My.
Instant lust for this thing. It's just utterly beautiful... even more gorgeous than a standard Dino... and that sound, that power... wow.
I'm normally a purist but this has completely changed my mind on that. Proof that when modding is done tastefully and with purpose, it really works.
Not a restomod, but a respectful merger of the engine from the last car Enzo built with the car named in memory of his son.
My question is - since the F40 was turbo charged - how come this isn't? it would be cool to take the whole setup and do it properly
So there clearly are seatbelts, can see them over their shoulders, but they just decided not to wear them while driving on public roads?
Gorgeous design and sweet car. Kinda off topic: I'm not digging the area hes been filming lately in his garage. Maybe its the lightning? I preferred the more natural less white/blue lighting like it was before.
