lesson st. citizens and soldiers of the Most High God my name is Clarence I'm pastor if you're not in body of Christ Church which is our online ministry on behalf of my family and myself we'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you to welcome you back to another broadcast another Bible study today we are coming at you from chat chapter 6 of The Book of Daniel and Lord I don't believe I don't believe we'll get into chapter 7 but we're going to end up getting into Bible eschatology Bible prophecy and and I bless God too to come into this the thing about it is one of the things that I understand is our job here at UBC is to point you in the right direction and and Christ is always the way to go so our job is to point you to the Lord Jesus Christ to give you a foundation that God through the Holy Spirit and the Lord Jesus Christ can build upon that so as we get into chapter 7 and going forward into the built into the scriptures and going forward into Bible prophecy we're going to give you a foundation to what we think or what God shows or or how God uses me to teach that it's always going to be up for argument it's going to be up for debate because how one person view it may be different from how another person views it and let me tell you something when it comes to Daniel and and even the book of Revelation there are world-renowned Bible scholars that still debate the way they see scripture this is where the Holy Ghost has to come in to to give you some peace our job is we're not going to I don't think we can put a finger on exactly what what Bible prophecy is who's going to be in control which Kingdom is going to be doing things at a certain time but as long as you have an understanding as to what what it pertains to you and your faith as long as you understand that in you in our generation some things could go down that we have to look at scripture to say wow God knew that these things would happen and it's for me to prepare my house in case these things come upon me you know what I'm saying so that's where our ministry comes in and so I'm saying all that to say that as we go forth into the Book of Daniel I do get emails time to time with people that disagree with the teaching and I never try to take things out of context if it happens that way your relationship is with God to help be like oil pastor I don't I don't agree with you on that and that's okay and I'm okay with that amen but understand the foundation of everything is that you have to have a relationship with God and when and and these things are written so that we can understand that there are some things that have went down in the past that shall go down in the future God is in control and it's all about you having a relationship with him so in case these things do go down in our lifetime as it's written you can always fall back on your relationship and you can always fall back on what's written between you know with God and what God allowed to be written in your relationship with them to help you get through these times and that's where our focus come in that's why you don't hear us talk about Bible prophecy a lot even though most of the scriptures that we read are pertaining to some kind of prophecy for us is all about you having that personal relationship amen and you're going to need it and and even in today's lesson with Daniel you're going to see how important that personal relationship is with the Lord that you've got to have you have to have that relationship and if you don't have it now is finest time than any to start building on this relationship amen eternal God we come before you this day and we thank you for being sovereign for taking care of our family we thank you for being God all by yourself the God of Abraham of Isaac and of Jacob Father we ask in the name of Jesus that as we position ourselves that you condition us to receive your word of truth to receive understanding to receive to entreat it in this in its simple form father that as we would be as babes in Christ that we would be able to reach to received to have the word spoken to us that we would understand it that we can transition from milk to meat this is our desire father that we grow in knowledge and understanding in the Word of God that we grow in our relationship with you that we want by faith and not by sight that we find ourselves not deceived north discouraged as we look upon this world and all that is therein and how we can look and examine the godless society we are so glad to have the relationship that we have with you we thank you Lord that you call us to pray father that you we acknowledge your sovereignty that you are in control of the very day that we live in and you are a God of blessings who blesses us father - to take part in those things that you give us whether it's waking up in this day whether it's reading the word whether just thinking about the goodness of God the jobs that you give us knowledge and strength to go to work the safety that you give us as we transport ourselves to work Lord we understand how sovereign you are that you are involved in all facets of life and I thank you whether we acknowledge your hand your presence and your power or not you are still in control and God I thank you thank you for feeding us and providing for us and looking after our loved ones our neighborhoods giving us a place of dwelling where else we can rest giving us peace and allowing our spirits to be awakened and to come to life God thank you thank you for having us at this point at this place in our life thank you for the word in which we are about to receive we are grateful to you God the God of Abraham of Isaac and of Jacob we are so grateful you are God all by yourself and father this world might be in derision people might turn one on another the law many may wax cold but it's not that way in your kingdom it's not that way in our households because we even have you in our homes as you live in our vessels you also live in our homes and I thank you God that we have peace and rest in our home holiness and righteousness we bless you for truth we bless you for the coming Kingdom and the king who shall rule continually and eternally father we thank you for Jesus who is our Redeemer the only begotten of the father Lord Jesus thank you for always interceding sending us your father's spirit and in parting into us the gospel thank you father we bless you for this word in which we are about to receive giving us power to overcome that very things that have come against us giving us strength to lay aside the weight of sin which so easily beset us thank you Lord for our names being written in the Lamb's Book of Life thank you Father I bless you you're worthy this even we are about to receive I'll give you things for in Jesus name Amen our Father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom comes thine will be done upon this earth as your will is done in heaven give us this day our daily bread forgive us of our sins of our transgressions of our debts and of our trespasses as we forgive those who have trespassed against us lead us not into temptation but deliver us from all evil for thine is the kingdom the power and the now and forevermore in Jesus name we pray now as we get started we honor the father God been the shelf the bread that we are about to receive we're honoring his son the Lord Jesus Christ which is the bread of life that word of God we also honor the Holy Ghost that dwells inside of us dwell inside of be dwells inside of you amen it's the Holy Ghost that have have moved you and your family my family and myself to come together to fellowship to sup to commune with the Father which is this Bible study so we honor again we honor the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit without any further ado we get right into it this is Daniel chapter 6 again I don't believe we'll go into Daniel chapter 7 this day but we're ready with chapter 6 here Daniel chapter 6 verse 1 it please darius to set over the kingdom a hundred and twenty princes which should be over the whole kingdom now what's going on here there's murder and intrigue hey man what's going on here we know in our last broadcast Belshazzar who was and who was running things at the time and the kingdom of Babylon drinking out of the vessels that they've taken as treasures and trophies from the temple of God they ransacked it and then they took all these treasures and and holy holy things out of the temple of God and as they were partying as belt Belshazzar was partying and various things they what came to mind is the the treasures of the temple of God the vessels the holy vessels he called for those vessels to be brought in the chalices the various thing and and they begin to drink they begin to pour wine and they begin to dedicate various things to their false gods all while they're drinking out of these vessels that came out of the temple of the Lord and in that same hour God allowed the Medes and the Persians to to invade Babylon and and to you know to to overcome to overtake Babylon and and to commandeer it and to control it now amen and what's interesting is is the Babylon was his fortress it had big huge walls that would have been hard to scale and so the the military of the military offense during a military campaign against Babylon was being planned over a course of time but it's because two things were going on God knew what Belshazzar would end up doing and and number two was already written that the Medes and the Persians would be the next kingdom to rule over the earth that God will use to rule over the earth and he would usher them uh sure the men through what Belshazzar had done you know now was already setting up to pieces because he knows what Belshazzar is going to do and based off the Belshazzar's actions God will use that to segue right into the next kingdom that should rule over the earth which are the Medes and the Persians okay so what we find here in Daniel is we get a chance to see the glory of God his ability to call out events that's going to take place in in in in in in the future in the near future and in the distant future for us that's the first thing number number two we get a chance to see that God is sovereign and that he is the one that's in control not only can he call out the future but he can make the future design the future the way that he would have it to be and it's for us to adapt to the will of God concerning what what his plans are for our world amen it's it's our relationship I'll walk with them helps us to adapt to his will if we don't know God if we don't walk with Him then we have a problem with the constant changing of things you know the master of arms when when dignitaries switch offices and and and one knew that the change of states to where you get one head out and you bring in another God is in control of all that but if we are not walking with him then it becomes hard for us to accept as will his will we began to walk by sight and not by faith and we look at these things on the outside and say well that's a problem I'm not digging that person that's in charge and I'm not like it but what we want by faith we have when we begin to walk with God and and and we we surrender to his will it doesn't matter who's in control because we're waiting for the King of Kings the Lord of lords amen so that's the things that we see that's going on in the Book of Daniel we see that God is able to call out the future he is also able to influence the future and he already have pieces set up in place ready to to segue into the next segment of this will if you will amen so I digress let's get back into the scripture so it pleased Darius to set over the kingdom a hundred and twenty princesses a princess which should be over the whole kingdom and the and over these three print presidents over these three presidents of whom Daniel was first that the princes might give an account unto them and the King should have no damage so what's going on is that as the P the Persians and the Medes come in they invaded Babylon the first thing they do is they establish their authority over the kingdom of Babylon and so Deus jeez twenty 120 governor's or Chiefs that should be over these various districts of Babylon and then over these hundred and twenty dignitaries or governors that are that are over the regions of Babylon they have to answer to three presidents and out of those three presidents that they answer to Daniel is the chief of the three okay he is number one and they have to answer to them and the whole reason that the the the Medes and the Persians the whole reason why they set up their government this way is to make sure that the King's interests are protected okay so that's what you see here it says and the Kings should have no damage meaning that his interests are protected okay so then this Daniel was preferred above the president and princess because an excellent spirit was in him and the King thought to set him over the whole rim now this is remember what I said that there are things anytime you read something it was written for a reason when we read the book when we the Bible it's written for a reason and what we find here in Daniel it's is reminiscent of what happened to Joseph back in the day okay as we read about Joseph Lemm and and if I may turn your attention go with me real quick to Genesis 39 Genesis 39 and let's take a look at verses 1 through 6 Genesis 39 verses 1 through 6 we remember the story of Joseph right well in case you don't let's have a refresher course Genesis 39 verse 1 through 6 and Joseph was brought down to Egypt and Potiphar an officer of Pharaoh now Joseph was was those he was held captive in Egypt if you remember the story of Joseph this is this is a Israel son one is real son son if he will and he was sold into slavery by his brothers his siblings and man and he ended up in in Egypt in Ward if you will and so it says here captain of the guard so obviously he was in he was in jail Potiphar was an officer captain of the guard and Egyptian bought him of the hands of the Ishmaelites so he purchased him from ish me of the Ishmaelites which have brought him down there and the Lord was with Joseph and he was praying was a prosperous man he was in the house of his master the Egyptian the master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hands and Joseph found grace in his sight he served him he made him overseer over his house and all that he had put into his hands and it came to pass that the time that he had made him overseer in his house and over all that he had that the Lord blessed the Egyptians house for Joseph's sake and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in his house and in the field and he left and he left all that he had in Joseph's hands and he knew not he knew and he knew not aunt he had except the bread which he did eat Joseph was a goodly person and well favoured so let me reread this first and he loved all that he had in Joseph's hands and he knew not aunt he had saved the bread which he did eat and Joseph was a goodly person so what is saying here is that the the the person that was in charged the Whorton of the jail he he poured kana poor Joseph out of jail and and just had him caretaker of his house and he never had to worry about anything because he knew that Joseph was an upstanding person and he gave he he gave Joseph dominion over his house and he never had to worry about things now we're eating this because when you begin to walk with God when you begin to worship the Lord our God and you're obedient to him God blesses you regardless of your situation you may find yourself out of your home and into another home you may find yourself somewhere where you don't want to be but because you walk with the Lord and you worship Him and you haven't turned your back on him the favor and the safekeeping of God will follow you wherever you are and God will give you favor in the midst of your situation God will bless you and so much so that God will bless you that those that take a chance on you will be blessed because God has blessed you do you understand what I'm saying it's that's how that's how it is that when you begin to walk with God people know that there is something about you they know that you are a peculiar person some kind of a royal priesthood there is something about you you're not like everybody else and you could be passing out because you will you found yourself in the situation you don't want to be in and you could be cussing folk out around you but there is something about humbling yourself and knowing that God is in control this is written for a reason because there is going to be times that you may find yourself having to be displaced or find yourself in a situation you don't want to be in but you've got to know and believe that God is there with you and that he will never leave you he will never forsake you and regardless of how bad your situation looks to you God would allow you to prosper not only will he allow you to adapt to that present situation but he would also allow you to prosper in that situation go with me to another verse concerning this Genesis 41 Genesis 41 let's take a look at 38 through 40 Genesis 41 verses 38 through 40 and here's what the word of the Lord says Pharaoh said unto its Pharaoh said unto a servic can we find such a one as this man a man in whom the Spirit of God is and Pharaoh said unto Joseph for as much as God has showed thee all this there is none so discreet and wise as thou art thou shall be over my house and according unto thy word show all my people be rude only in nine throne will I be greater than thou this man started out being a prisoner in jail to where the warden of the jail saw him and was like you know what there's something about you let me get you out and have you just watch over my house to this this man was was was brought up and and and found favor in some of the darkest situations and then ultimately found himself in control of Egypt found himself next in line found himself second in command in the land of Egypt Pharaoh recognized the spirit that was on Joseph and and promoted him to be second in an in charge of Egypt to where all the people had to answer to Joseph it's because the Spirit of God was on him and he walked with the Lord he worshiped the Lord the Spirit of God has on him for us what do we take out of this again God does what he does to show us what his will is going to be for the world in the future this is part of the reason that that we're reading Daniel because God is showing us what has happened and what will happen and there may be some situations that we have to adapt to but we have to believe that God is always in control and now it's the time to start walking with Him you don't find yourself in a situation and then you call on God and you like well he ain't answer be what time have you invested into knowing you learn him reading his word praying to him what time have you invested because if you start doing that before the bottom breaks out before the bottom brick gives in if you will if you start doing it now then when things do go haywire you're holding on to your faith because God is going to keep you and then no matter how bad that situation is God will prosper you not only to adapt but to prosper in that situation this is one of the reasons why we read and look so he don't went from being an overseer of the of the prison Ward's house to being the second in control in in in in the land of Egypt and Egypt was the most powerful kingdom at that time and here he is a shot-caller number two in the whole kingdom now let's look at Daniel you have the Babylonians come in and they invaded Israel and they invaded Judah and they they took them into captivity and here Daniel has lasted over the changes the changing guard over the changes of the administration because as as Babylon invaded Judah in Israel turns out that the Persians and the Medes invaded Babylon and where did that put Daniel still he's still the man he's still in charge because of who he is and because of who he is in the kingdom of God God knows him and God bestowed his blessings and his favor on him we read this for a reason because we know that God is no respecter of persons and if he was if he blessed Daniel he didn't poor Daniel out of Babylon he kept them in there but he gave them favor why he was in there do you understand what I'm saying a lot of times we'll print oh god please you know don't have me going God will allow you to go through it but he's there with you it's this is real this this really is something so God gave them authority God blessed him to have favor with Darius and with the Persians and the Medes and and God gives them favor so all these princesses all these princes these governors they all gotta answer to Daniel they all got an answer to Daniel so let's look at this because this gets real interesting here then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents the princes because of an excellent spirit was in them and the King thought to set him over the whole room just as he just as a pharaoh dead Joseph right then the presidents and the princess sought to find on occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom but they could but they could find none occasion nor fault for as much as was faithful for as much as he was faithful neither was there any error or fault found in him now some people just not going to like you that's just the bottom line folks there are some people that will not like you when God begins to spur growth in you when God begins to prosper you when God begins to promote you when everything else begins to fail around you but God is prospering you there are some people that's going to take note of that because when God prospers you you don't have to work harder than somebody else when God's favor hit you he just opened doors for you that people have to work they have to sell themselves out in order to make it to the point that God just said wage you through and when people see how you how God has prospered you they get a little jealous behind that they got some issues with that and they begin to conspire against you but here's what you got to understand it's not really against you it's against God they got an issue with him because one thing about it is when you are worshiper of God the God of Abraham Isaac and of Jacob you don't have to carry your Bible with you wherever you go so people will know who you worship and serve you don't have to wear a crucifix around your neck so that people will know who you worship and serve you don't have to go around bless you my son you know god be with you you don't have to go around doing various things like that you don't have to have you Church music loud in yo car so people in an opinion an employee parking lot will know who you worship and serve you don't have to have none of those things going on for you if you walk if you worship the Lord our God you walk with them and you worship Him what God has done for you on the inside will start to push yourself on the outside and people will know that there is something about you that are peculiar go with me to first Peter chapter first Peter chapter two and let's take a look at verses 4 through 9 first Peter chapter 2 verses 4 through 9 and what we say verses 4 through 9 to whom coming as unto a living stone it's talking about the Lord Jesus Christ to whom coming a son to a living stone disallowed indeed of men but chosen of God and precious so Jesus a lot of people turned a backs on Jesus in the times past and even now they're turning their backs on him but you have it and the Scriptures is talking about because you haven't turned your back on them look what it says here ye also a lively stones are built up a spiritual house a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ wherefore also it is contained in the scriptures behold I lay up a Zion behold I lay in Zion a chief Cornerstone elect precious and that he that believeth on him shall not be confounded unto you therefore which believe he is precious but unto them which be disobedient the stone which the builders disallowed the same made the head of the corner and a stone of a stumbling block a stumbling and a rock of offence even to them which stumble at the word being disobedient learn to also they were appointed but ye are a chosen generation a royal priesthood a holy nation a peculiar people that you should show forth the praises of him who have called you out of darkness into the marvelous light people that have rejected Jesus that stone that Jesus is it's one thing for you to stumble upon that stone and you fall and you get up and you realize the stone that you fell on and you begin to marvel at it and all of a sudden God begins to get you situated to adhere to and respect that stone but it's another thing too to just you see the stone and you like forget about it and you don't submit and all of a sudden that rock comes down and crushes you well that's where people are right now they've rejected this stone they've rejected the Lord Jesus Christ and because you haven't they got a problem with you but actually they have a problem with him and the way you worship is something about you you are different when it calls you a different a peculiar people it's saying you're different from most people you're different you're not like them they the people that have rejected Jesus they are bickering they're loud their voices their voices they're violent they're lawless those that have not rejected Jesus but but they respect him as the chief Cornerstone there is something about you that stands out and because you don't respond to the way to the things that people respond to because you're your own person why are you doesn't your own person because the scripture says let this mind which is in Christ Jesus be also within you so you're different you got the mind of Christ who was his own man he belonged to the Lord until the Lord the Lord God Jesus was the only begotten of the Father he wasn't of this world you know times and he was his own person and so because you belong to Christ you're not of this world you're of the kingdom so you automatically stand out basically yokan out somewhat of an alien and people know that Yoshio immediate citizenship is in the kingdom and because you belong to the Lord God and because you belong to the kingdom of God you have certain rights and privileges that others don't have right and when people get a chance to see that about you and see how you're exercising those rights you got the right to be happy and to be free and to be loving and kind and joyous right when the situation comes and try you you like God got this somebody else that's not part of the kingdom of God they don't have those rights they look at that and carnality teaches them to try to I gotta do what I can and get out of this no matter if I gotta hurt somebody or steal from somebody I gotta do whatever I can to rise above the situation that's challenging me I got a tell on who I can I got attacked who I can I gotta take from who I can you know just to get through that you know I gotta go deep in debt just to get through that because I can well it's different we have certain rights we have certain privileges in the kingdom of God and when people see this they have an issue with us they have because they know that there is something about you but this only comes when you walk with Him you talk with him you obey Him you you study his word this that went when there's consistency with you these things begin to develop on the inside and then they begin to spur on the outside it become evident on the outside and people are judging you based on what's happening to you on the inside and they got a problem because things are going so well with you amen so this is what's happening with Daniel the the people that are paying attention to Daniel this was somebody that's not part of their custom this is somebody from the captivity of Judah that's now a shot-caller okay and and you got all these these governors that's in charge of the various regions of the kingdom of Babylon you know and yet they have to answer to someone that's not even of their custom okay then they're Persians and Medes this man is a Jewish slave if you will held in captivity but he's in charge they got a problem with him so guess what they're doing they're doing what they can to find out how to bring him down the problem is he's not given a much material to work with because as you're faithful to God say it's okay when people come and they start talking about you a lot of times they're making stuff up because you're not giving the material to work with you see what I'm saying is so there is people now people have gotten in our time now people I've gotten to the point that they're trying to find something against you and they can't find it so guess what they do now we had they have access to your past through Twitter and the Facebook's and the the Twitter Facebook and what's the other whatever other platforms that are out there people will use your past because they've been searching you bother them there was something about you that that they just can't stand about you and it's because they haven't submitted to Jesus Christ so Dale and they can't they keep looking at your record day and you're not leaving much of the paper trail form so they're going back into your past before you became this person to see if they can find something there that they can use against you today this is how people are be in this and it's not because they don't they don't like you it's because they don't like Christ and because you are part of the body of Christ you're covered under that umbrella of their disdain okay so this is what's going on with with Daniel they're upset because he's a shot-caller they feel like he shouldn't be in that position so they're looking to try to bring him down so that one of them can get into that position again the problem is he's not given a much material to work with because he is faithful about the job that he's been assigned to do that's another thing about a child of God when you are walking and worshiping the Lord our God you show up to work every day huh not unless you're sick but even then you're trying to make sure that you get to work you're faithful when you're faithful to God you're faithful about other things in your life you begin to take you begin to take things personal when it comes to the way you do your business you know you come up to work you perform with an excellent spirit okay you you have integrity you're not stealing you're not deceptive you're not cussing folk out you know you're not strong arming somebody you're real professional and you're real faithful because God gives you an excellent spirit to represent him that's what and that's what we are we're walking advertisement for the kingdom of God we're walking billboards representing the the Almighty God and and and and the Lord Jesus Christ and we we represent the Council of their wisdom if you will the console of the righteousness of Jesus Christ we represent that that excellent spirit so people will look to bring you down because they know that man you you be handling the business man you don't play everybody be going on breaks and and from brakes they go home and within the break they go home and sometime don't come back sometime comes back two three hours later saying that the cars broke down or they got called at the railroad or you know they just there's be so many excuses that they're not up to the task and when those are in charge sees that you've been handling their business faithfully you may not have been there long long a long time you may have only been there for a month where somebody else been there five years but they see how faithful you are and guess what they do they promote you because you treat their business as it's your own business and what it is is that that that excellent spirit that God puts on you were little Finn's people just like that rock of Jesus Christ offends people you know that who he is and how he is he's a rock of offense and God gives you an opportunity to trip over the rock so that you can get up and see what you tripped over and do right by it to make sure that you respect it right so that you honor it but there's just some people that don't one honor and they become in danger of having the lock to fall on them you understand what I'm saying but I digress let's carry on because this is some good material here and remember this is all these things are written for a reason going on with this so then the president's the princes saw to find the occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom but they confined on occasion to a fault for as much as he was faithful neither was there any error or fault found in him he was faithful you faithful to God you're faithful about handling other people's matters okay then said these men's we shall not find any occasion against Daniel except we find it against them concerning the law of this God that we might old you you don't have to walk around with a crucifix on your neck you don't have to walk around with the scriptures in your hand everywhere you go again you all got the around bless you my son you don't have to do stuff like that when you walk with him you don't find yourself at the water cooler talking about other people right you know that's not about you and people know who's not part of the gathering you may be part of the conversation because you're not part of the gathering so they may talk about you because you're not there to talk about somebody else with them but they know that you are you have been excluded from water-cooler talk they know and when the bottom falls out of these people's lives guess who they the same people that don't you out and try to talk about you when the bottom falls out of their lives you're the first person that they going you know and and man you got time can I can I talk to you for a minute oh and you know I was wondering what your thoughts on this you know they know us as they've dogged you out because of who you are and who you represent they also know who to come to and they know that you are a forgiving person cuz they not stupid they know that they know that you know they've been talking about you and dog and you out but they also know that the kind of person you are you will let them come up to you and speak to you and help them speak to them and help them in their time of need they also know that about you you understand what I'm saying something but this is who we represent right we represent the Most High God so they got an issue with Daniel they don't want them in that position and they've come together and they say how can we get him they look they check this Twitter feed they checked his Facebook's and they realize and I'm just you know I'm just playing a dude they couldn't get him that way so they said we can't get him for anything that he does because he's doing it right so let's get them less we're gonna get them we have to come against his faith because we can't come against we can't come against his ethics because he's he doesn't take bribes he's not out here still in Easy's this this man living up righteous upstanding life he's righteous so we can't come against his ethics we need to come against his faith to get him we got to come against his faith that's the only way we're going to get him this is what happens with us and this is what's going to happen to us they're going to outlaw your faith look go with me to Matthew go with me to Matthew let's take a look at something here actually let's go with me to Luke I'm in Luke go with me to Luke I said Matthew and I was just actually you know working here in Luke and let's take a look at Luke let's take a look at Luke 21 and let's start at let's start at verse 7 Luke 21 verse 7 and they asked him saying master but windsheild these things be what and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass he said take heed that you be not deceived for many shall come in my name saying I'm Christ and the time draws near go ye not out therefore after them but when you shall hear of wars and commotions be not terrified for these things must first come to pass but the end is not by-and-by then said he unto them nation shall rise against nation Kingdom against Kingdom great earthquake shall be in divers places famines and pestilence fearful sights great signs shall there be from heaven but before all these they show late and this is what we have to read here before all of these they shall lay their hands on you and persecute you delivering you up to the synagogue and into prisons being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake they're going to persecute you for your faith we're already seeing our faith in in in minor instances being outlawed this day we're already seeing it you're already an offence if you don't adhere to the modern day this weather whatever it be whether it's the way you manage your home and your children what you know whether whether it be you know you don't subscribe to certain sexual persuasions or what-have-you you already your faith is already being outlawed to this day right and if we didn't have our Constitution you would probably have life in prison you know because of the laws that's written now and and not to take away any glory or any credit from God because it's God that allowed these men in a times past to write our Constitution to make sure that we would have some protection they wrote this this Constitution what back in the 1800s or something my history is not where it needs to be however we're still seeking those very protections today right now and we need them because our it's where our rights are always being challenged and if those things were not allowed to stand I'm guaranteeing you you would be in shackles over your faith right now you would they you would be in jail if you didn't have certain constitutional rights that are being protected if they wouldn't have day wouldn't constitutional rights the way the agendas are going on today and not that you set out to discriminate against anybody what you do is feel like I can't get down with that and if that's what you want that's on you I'm happy for you but that's not how my family and I work well you offend that person because of the relationship that you have with Christ you're an offense to somebody and because they can't change your mind they try to assault your Liberty they want to take away your freedoms right and and as a right now the Constitution is in the way but once that Constitution is taken out of the way it's a wrap and they're working on it right now is this what we're reading about today is about them coming against your faith this is what was going on with the Daniel so what Christ said that before all this stuff go down they're gonna come against your faith and they're going to outlaw your they're going to deliver you up to judges and magistrates and deliver you up in the synagogue's because you're going to have to answer for the relationship that you have with Christ Jesus and if you not have if you have not been walking with him if chances are you won't be delivered up if you haven't been walking with them but if you have been walking with him he is going to give you courage to withstand the time that's going to come to try and to test your faith right it says and it shall turn to you for a testimony settle it therefore in your heart's not to meditate before what you shall answer for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries shall not be able to gain say and resist and ye shall be betrayed both by parents and brothers and kinfolk and friends some choke some it says some of you shall they calls to be put to death you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake but there shall not a hair of your head perish God is saying that at the end of the day they may put you in jail they may try to put you to death but if it's not so time to go no matter what they try to do to you they will not be successful in doing it and God is saying that don't think about what you're going to say for your defense when they question you and bring you bring you in for breaking their laws don't think about what you're going to say I'm going to give you the words to say because you're not the one under arrest they're trying to arrest Christ they're trying to bring gain Christ through you okay and so when they put shackles on you they're delivering Christ up there trying to again they're trying to deliver him up and this is what's going on with Daniel and at his time he's a worshipper of the Lord his God and the only thing that he's guilty of is worshiping the Lord God and because he's have such an excellent spirit they can't seem to bring them down so they like you know what let's go and try to inspire of you know let's conspire against him let's come up with this plan that we can deliver him up for praying to his God okay so let's let's read about this a more because this is interesting so it says then said these men we shall not find any occasion against Daniel except we find it against him concerning the law of his God these then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king and said and said thus unto the King Darius and said the sons unto him King Darius life ever so let me reread that verse I'd like to be clear when I read it then these presidents and princes they assembled together to the king and said thus unto him King Darius live forever now remember in the earlier verse here in verse two or in verse one whether there's a hundred and twenty princes so a hundred and twenty princes all assembled together before the king and they all own on one Accord and they all come with a heavy you know with with what heaviness you know that I mean when you see a people have press conferences they not they're never really bother themselves they always have somebody behind them some multiple people with them if it's the president he's got the vice president and he's got other people in his cabinet with him if it's mayors they got their chief of staff's and others with them if it's the police department it's the chief of police or oh no it's the superintendent and then it's the chief of police with all their staff and say Dave and because there's there's power in numbers right so then you got a hundred and twenty Prince's coming before the king and saying O king live forever you know we love you we honor you we think you demand and and we want to make sure that nobody comes against you for the next thirty days so we want you to sign this law that we're putting together to make sure that nobody's petition anybody except you for the next thirty days you know because we won't we want to make sure you're honored and and this is when people are empowered to create laws they're going to create a law to try to sanction you your worship with God when people have that kind of power there they're there they're up to no good so let's read about this all of the presidents of the kingdom and the governors and the princes and councilors and captains have consulted together to establish a royal statute and to make a firm decree that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or men for 30 days save save of the King or except from asking you O king he shall be cast into the lion's den so if anybody is praying to any God if anybody is asking anybody for anything except people asking or praying to the king if they're found guilty of that they have to be cast into the lion's den okay that's that's what the ending you know that you're trying to run game they're trying to be like you know we need to honor you King we need you to man you know we honor you and and because we honor you we want to create this this law or this decree penalizing people if they if they're not mindful of you of they're mindful of gods or any other thing except for you for the next 30 days they need to be penalized and the king agreed to it and to be honest which you really had no choice because he had a veto-proof majority okay it was the law the decree that they came up with it was a veto-proof majority so he's kind of led to have to sign that right this is some heavy stuff here but when people are out to get you and if you are upright in a righteous person the righteousness of Christ Jesus if you are upright and they can't get you by today they'll try to go back in your past to see if they can find a digital paper trail you know to try to heal you up and if they can't do that then they're going to try to hem you up based on on your lifestyle if you're a worshipper of the Lord Jesus Christ they're going to try to concoct a way to get you through that through those means remember this is written for a reason they are coming against your faith and it happened in the in times past is going to continue to happen in the present okay now I'm going on with this now Oh King established a decree and signed the writing that had be not changed according to the law of the Medes and the Persians which altered not so they're saying King we implore you to sign this because we're doing this for your benefit for your sake if you sign it it will go into law and because of the way we do business because of the the our Constitution once a law is signed it can't be it can't be unchanged it can't be what's the word that I'm looking for it can't be modified once it's written it cannot be modified okay it can't be amended it's the word okay that's the word it can't be amended so the King goes in the side he signs it well for King Darius he signs well for King Darius signed the writing and the decree so he signed it into law when then you knew now Daniel had already heard what what was what they were trying to do that they were trying to come up with the law right now you know and during Daniels time that they were trying to come up with the law that would prohibit him for praying to his god for the next thirty days you know and Daniel knew man they they trying they really trying to come against me cuz the very people I'm over has gone over my over my head to to go get this done they basically went above Daniel Daniel is their head they go above their head to take him down they go straight to the king and then they get the key to sign off they get the King to sign off on the law that Daniel knew would penalize him so Daniel knew that this was about him that they were trying to take him down this had nothing to do with honor and the King it had everything to do with dishonor and date Daniel okay so now when then you knew the writing was signed he went into his house and and his windows being opened in this chamber toward Jerusalem he kneeled upon his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God as he did for time that that that last phrase there as he did a 4-time let you know that there is a continuation of this of Daniels action this praying this ain't nothing new for him this is something that he has always done this is reminisce this is reflective of the relationship that Daniel has with God this ain't something that all of a sudden the bottom drops out and now he's in the face of God trying to see what he can get out of the kingdom to help him get through things he's always shown the capacity of of walking with God constantly so when this thing comes up he goes to do what he has always done pray himself through it praise himself praise God through this situation pray to God to help him get through the situation and praise God through the situation there's something that he's always done and just because they brought forth the law saying that you can't do it who you gonna listen to God or man Daniel positioned himself to where he was looking out towards his towards towards Jerusalem and his prayer went forth okay that's very interesting here go hold your place here let's read a little bit about that hold your place here first go with me to Psalm 121 verse 1 Psalm 121 verse 1 here's what it says I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help being able to find a prayer closet and looking up towards heaven and saying lord I know you are aware of what they're doing but if I can just echo what they're doing if I can just tell you I know you're aware but let me just tell you they've come up with the law to penalize me from talking with you from walking with you they've trying to stop me from loving you they're trying to stop us from hanging out Lord and I know you're aware of it but I need to let you know it bothers me and I need you to do something about it because I love you you know and I don't want to stop hanging out with you because they're offended because they got a problem with me they got a problem with how you promoted me they got a problem with how you prospered me so now they want to come against you through me Lord do what you do you know this is this this is mighty mighty mighty but it said that he did this aforetime in and as he did a four time he's always done this he was consistent in praying to God and when people begin to come at you a lot of times and I'm guilty of this too the first thing we want to do is turn towards carnality I wish somebody would try to stop me from praying to my god and I I light them Joker's up if they run at me you know this is caught out of carnality this is you know we try to refer to that but Daniel didn't do that this is written for a reason the moment he knew that they signed that legislation he went to his prayer closet dropped down to his knees and looked towards the hills from which cometh his help hmm it's powerful it's written for a reason because the battle was not yours it's the Lord's and we have to start being people of faith and it can't be cliche and cryin honestly this is what the world depends on this is why you're picked on so much because they know you you're they know that if you are a real follower you do turn the other cheek they know that you're not quick to want to cuss them out they know that you do want to be right and that you will want to pray for them that you will love them they just can't get you to bend to their ways but but they all so know that the repercussions of trying to get you to bend to their ways that you're not gonna do much to them about them doing that so this is why you are targeted because they're trying this and exercise for them to see if they can get you to bend to see if they can get you to break and if you don't do it they're offended but they know the reason why they can do it there's little to no repercussions if you come up with them if you come into a a Muslim area and try to put your weighs on them sinful and and whatever ways that our anti yeah gay gay and homosexual if you try to go up in there and try to convert them dumb jokers it's you they will light you up they will light you up but Christianity is a faith to where we walk with God and and the battle belongs that the battle was not ours it's the Lord's and so a whole lot of people you know we're targeted because they know that if they don't get us to bend and if they don't get us to break the repercussions of even trying us as little to none you know so they can skippity do die along their way after they try to corrupt you and failed to do so yeah you know when you see what I'm saying but God keeps a record and vengeance belong to the Lord just because they got away today don't mean that they broke away for good he kept a record of what they did and and unless they repent he's gonna get them for it so Daniel looks towards heaven he looks towards Jerusalem and he begins to pray we've seen as is written I will look towards the hills from whence cometh my help why did Daniel look towards Jerusalem well let's go here go to 2nd chronicles and let's take a look at the chapter 6 and we'll start at verses 19 through 21 second chronicles chapter 6 verses 19 through 21 this is a prayer that Solomon is given and this that he's dedicating the temple of the Lord okay they had just finished building the temple of the Lord so Solomon is dedicating it through his prayer and look at what he says he asks the Lord during his dedication and during his prayer have respect there to to the prayer of thy servant and to his supplication o Lord my God to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayers before thee that nine eyes may be open upon this house he's talking about the temple that your eyes may be open upon this house a day and night upon the place where of thou hast said that thou wood has put thy name there to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant Prayuth toward this place hot and therefore unto the supplication of thy servant and of thy people Israel which they shall make towards this place is talking about the temple here from thy hear thou from thy dwelling place even from heaven and when thou hearest forgive okay now drop down drop down to verses 36 through 40 verses 36 through 40 because this is the situation that daniel find himself in this prayer encompasses what daniel finds himself in is this prayer of solomon and look at what this says here verse 36 of that same chapter this is 2nd chronicles chapter 6 verse 36 if they sin against thee it's talking about Israel if Israel sin against thee for there is no man which sinneth not and thou be angry with them and deliver them over their enemies and they carry them away captive unto the land far off or near yet they'd be think themselves in the land whether they are carry captive and turn and pray unto the end the land of their captive of their captivity saying we have sinned we have done amiss and have n have dealt with idli if they return to thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity whether they have carried them captive and pray towards their land which thou gavest unto their fathers and toward the city which thou has chosen and toward the house which I've built in thy name then hear thou from the heavens even from thine dwelling place their prayer and supplication and maintain their calls and forgive thy people which have sinned against thee now my god let I beseech thee thine eyes be open and let thine ears attend unto the prayer that is made in this place so it's not like Daniel had sinned but God did punish the children of Israel for their collective sins amen and then allowed them to be taken in captivity by their enemy and what did Daniel do Daniel began to pray towards Jerusalem he began to pray towards Jerusalem because this is what Solomon said Lord that if we find ourselves in trouble if we find ourselves having walked away from you we've angered you if we found ourselves having to be chastised by our enemies and they take us out of here and take us into a far place and you hear our prayers how after we have repented and humbled ourselves and pray until you forgive us forgive us and guess what that's what Daniel prays towards Jerusalem and he begins to praise and pray his way out of this situation so let's read on so I wanted you to see that that's that's heavy and we read Psalms 121 look to the hills I will look to the hills from which cometh my help when mad come against us this is why I say we're not out in the street protesting grabbing science because that's not the way that we conduct ourselves in the kingdom of God ain't no picket signs in the kingdom anyway everything that we're doing now we are being trained on how to conduct ourselves so that when we get into the are heavily Canaan if you will when we transition into the kingdom of God that we don't be taking up arms and man and pulling up signs and protest in the King we're being conditioned right now how to conduct ourselves when we are in the kingdom of God and that's what was happening to the children of Israel children of Israel when they came out of Egypt they were being conditioned on how to conduct themselves when they got into the land of Canaan so all this protesting the stuff that be going on right now there is none of that in the kingdom of God you can't all you can do is its voice your your displeasures if you if you dare to do so but the king the king ain't changing nothing it's his kingdom your job is to conform to him and to his kingdom it's not him or his kingdom job to conform to you and what we see going on a day is people trying to get this country to conform to them rather than them wanting to conform to the country it's what the countries work just fine for me I've when I've done wrong I was penalized when I done right I was rewarded it's done right it's done well for me so and the things that I was penalized for I deserved it the things that I was rewarded for I worked hard that's just how I looked at then it is there are some flaws in the system oh yeah why because it's not part of the kingdom of God absolutely so but I digress I just slid in my opinion about some matters but I digress so but ultimately what we want you to do is when when you start to get pressured when you're when they start to come against your faith look to the hills go into that prayer closet start doing that now not when it happens you want descriptions to be able to say concerning you as you had done a 4-time you want that to be attributed to you if the Lord decided to write scriptures about you one day you won't the scriptures to say as you have done a 4-time Amen well we're gonna wrap it up folks we'll wrap it up so then so Daniel as he prayed a four time verse 11 then these men they assembled and they found Daniel praying and making supplications before it's God now do you remember and and let me read this verse again and then let me reference you to some some other scripture then these men assembled they knew what time to come and they found Daniel praying and making supplications before his god they knew what time Daniel prayed how many times he prayed and where he prayed at and they showed up at that time because they was trying to get him because they had a problem it they didn't honor the king they had a problem with Daniel this had nothing to do with them honoring the king and them upholding the law it was them using the law to entrap Daniel okay now I'm gonna give you an example of that in the New Testament go with me to the Gospel of John chapter 8 this is an example of them trying to use the law to entrap Jesus okay this is a the Gospel of John chapter 8 now let's take a look at verses 3 through 6 the Gospel of John chapter 8 verses 3 through 6 and this was a woman that was caught in the act of adultery okay so it goes on to say and the scribes and the Pharisees they brought unto him a woman taken in adultery and when they had set her in the mist they said unto Him master this woman was taken in adultery in the very act how did they know she was in how did they know where she was gonna be doing this that is a it would appear to me that if you out sneaking around and you sleeping with somebody else's husband or you sleeping with somebody else's wife you're trying to be secret about where you you know fornicate where you committing this adultery yet you're trying to be secretive how did they know and they called her in the act how did they know where she would be and what and who she would be with and what time they would be doing this they know you know that they caught him in the act right so they snatched her up probably put a towel on her you know but kept her nakedness as they as evidence of what she was doing probably wrapped her up in a blanket or something and brought him to the Lord Jesus Christ right now says they said until master this woman was taken in adultery in the very act now Moses he hears them using the law now Moses in the law commanded us that we should don't that that such should be stoned but what say is down okay they want to see if Jesus was going to uphold the law they want to know if he was gonna uphold the law of Moses and they were so they didn't it's not that they were offended by what this woman was doing it wasn't about her just like it's not about the king it's about Daniel it's not about this woman it's about Jesus they're trying to entrap them in the scriptures even tell you that that's what they're doing when they say but what say is thou this they said tempting him that they might have to accuse him they're trying to say you're not up holding the law had nothing to do with this woman and what she was doing I'm not condoning it I'm saying that it really had nothing to do with her it had everything to do with him the Lord Jesus Christ it says so this that they said that they might that might have to accuse him but Jesus stooped down and with his finger he wrote on the ground as though he heard them not so he didn't let that noise get to him and I encourage you to finish reading that for the sake of time we're going to get back into Daniel but I wanted to give you that example that people will go to the extremes that when they don't like you they will try to go through the law to trying to penalize you through the law to try to punish you through the law to try to control you through the law through legislations because they don't like you if they're trying to get somebody else they'll try to they'll try to get the person that's in charge so they're trying to get a veto-proof majority to try to you have the perfect example love of I don't know if this is in Minneapolis or if this is in st. Paul wherever this is the City Council had a veto-proof majority to to be able to abolish or to defund the police department there and even though the mayor says I'm not for that there's nothing he can do because they have a veto-proof majority this is how you can control people through the law if they don't line up with what you want them to do and this is what's happening with Daniel well in this case they're not trying to control him they're trying to get him out of office all together okay they're trying to not only get him out of office they trying to kill him they're trying to get him into the belly of the Lions that's what they're trying to get him in and trying to put them there okay and they're trying to use the law to do it they'll manipulate the law to get to to control you were to have their weight we see that then and we see things going on like that now amen I digress we still got some scriptures to continue to read on here so they they showed up at where Daniel was they showed up to where he was and they took him into custody then they came there and they speak before the king in the Kings degree to decree rather hostile not signed a decree that every man that should access petition of any God or man within 30 days except for of the O king she'll be cast into the lion's den the King answered and said this thing is true according to the law of the Medes and the Persians which which altar if not or which cannot be amended or modified then answered a and said before the king that that Daniel which is of the children of captivity of Judah he regardeth not the O king nor the decree that thou has signed but maketh his petition three times a day board a was spine him out to know that this man sought the Lord three times a day spying him out so that they can snatch him up okay and and that's as how it is people will come against your faith if they can't get you by nothing else they will come against your faith but how do you respond when they come against your faith Christ said that don't think about what you're going to do or what you're going to say I got this because they're trying to come against me they're not trying to come against you so I'm going to give you the things to say and I want you to follow the instruction this is what Christ had said when when you get delivered up for his namesake how we are to conduct ourselves now verse 14 then the king when he heard these words he was sore displeased with himself and he said it's hard on to deliver Daniel he said it's hard on Daniel to deliver him and he labored till the going down of the Sun to deliver him then these men they assembled unto the king and said unto the King know O king that the law of the Medes and the Persians is that no decree nor statute which the King established may be changed so when the King found out what what happened the King felt bad because he allowed himself to be manipulated so that they can ensnare Daniel through the laws okay so the King looked all night long and searched for some kind of loophole that he can you know that it can be altered he tried all night long word must have gotten out that the King labored to see what he can do to deliver Daniel from this mess and when word got out all the kings are all these not Kings but all the princesses assembled and they reminded the King hey we heard what you've been doing for the sake of Daniel but we here to tell you that it is against our laws and our customs for you to modify or men an order that has gone forth if that's if you if you do if you do amend the order or modify it in any way you can be put into the lion's den you know so we advise you to quit trying to deliver this man he's a goner this is what they're telling them okay so the king commanded and they brought Daniel and they cast him into the den of the Lions now the King spake and said o Daniel that God whom thou service continued continually he will deliver you the king was a believer in that holy thing of Israel the Lord God a God of Abraham of Isaac and of Jacob the King was a believer in the power of God he was a believer and those others and he feared God the King had a fearful God and he was any he honored Daniel because he saw that Daniel was a servant of the Most High God this god this God is king respected God but he also knew these jokers want my head if I don't allow Daniel to be delivered into the lion's den for breaking the law they're going to deliver me and Daniel into the lion's hands into the lion's den so I got to do was right ok so he goes and he told he tells Daniel Daniel I believed that your God will deliver you I believe it man I believe it the king was was was rooting for for Daniel and that's how Pharaoh was in Egypt at the time when he gave Joseph authority over the over Egypt he he loved and he loved a Joseph and here you see that that he has Daniel has the same favour from the kingdom of the Persians and the Medes then the King went to his palace and he passed the night fasting neither were instruments of music brought before him and his sleep went from him then the King arose early very early in the morning and he went in haste to the line to the den of lions and when he came to the den he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel and the King spake and said to Daniel Oh Daniel servant of the Living God is it thy God whom thou hast served he says is thy God whom thou service continually able to deliver thee from thy from the Lions so he didn't know if Daniel was alive but he come running and he cries out to Daniel Daniel Daniel is that God whom you service that Living God whom you serve is he able to deliver you from the mouth of the Lions so he's saying this before he gets to the cage before he gets to the deck if you will the den you know as a matter of fact they roll a stone before the den so you can't really see it so it's an actual den I don't believe it's a cage I believe it's an actual den and they said a stone in the mouth of it so that you can't get out right actually I missed a verse speaking of that I missed a verse if you would allow me to go back up to verse 17 I missed this verse here a stone was brought and laid upon the mouth of the den and the King sealed it with his own signet and with the signet of his lords that the purses that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel so I missed that verse and I wanted to make sure that I covered it now down at verse 21 then said Daniel unto the King old King live forever my wife said this and I thought it was real powerful the King put his initials or his signet letting you know that that the law was set forth concerning Daniel's execution so Daniel was set to the sent to the death chamber in this case the death chamber was the lion's den Daniel's actions were punishable by death Daniel's worship of the Lord our God was punishable by death and so they sent Daniel to the death chamber and the King signed his death warrant okay and so were the witnesses the the 120 princesses princes were witnesses to this death warrant being signed by the king so when they put Daniel into this den they put the mouth they can't see you can't see coming up to the mouth coming because there's a big stone that they Road in front so that Daniel couldn't get out okay now as as the King comes up to the mouth he cries out Daniel Daniel are you okay was the Living God that you serve able to deliver you Daniel said O king live and this is what my wife said that I thought was so profound to know that somebody sentenced you when you knew that you were innocent and they still sentenced you anyway that you would still have respect for them once they oh the whole ordeal was over Daniel knew that the King had to do what he had to do but Daniel didn't have an attitude with the King the first thing he said to the king was Oh King live forever letting them know that man we good I don't have a problem with what's done was done I know you had to do your job and I'm good with that I'm good with that said of having her or no man you set me up the river you knew them Jobos was coming at me and you knew that they was falsely accused of me and you know they even though I broke the law but you knew that they manipulated you to get to me and you still let them do that to you to me nah man I can't get down with you bro we done we done even use that he didn't put he didn't you know lift himself up and pride you know he didn't do that he still respected the king Oh King live for a lot of times where we you know we we come off a little cocky you know God deliver us from something we come off a little cocky we write we blacklist everybody that had anything to do with anything we blacklist them but Daniel remember this stuff is written for a reason Daniel shows us he gives us the the script on this old King live forever it's okay it's alright you you we good man my God has sent his angel and has shuttle the the lion's mouth and they have not hurt me for as much as before him innocence NC innocence II was found in me and also before the Oh King I've done no hurt he says God sent the angel to close the mouth of the lion because God looked at this situation and seen that I was innocent and I haven't done anything against God nor have I done anything against you O king so everything is everything then was the King exceeding glad for him and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den so Daniel was taken up out of the den and no man have hurt was found upon him because he believed in his God and the king commanded and they brought those men which had accused Daniel and they cast them into the den of the Lions them their children their wives and the Lions have mastery of them and break all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the Dan so first of all the King is putting up help wanted signs some positions just became immediately vacant snatch these jokers up and basically said there can be double jeopardy you can't kill that you can't kill Daniel twice okay we went forth with the execution and it was a failed execution and that's a wrap we can't try to kill him twice what's done is done now as for you for the Sedition you know and the manipulation of me and this and the the bouts of sedition it's gonna cost you I'm signing y'all death warrants and not only did he come after them you came after their families their children all of them they all got thrown in the lion's den and look at what the scripture says before their feet could ever hit the ground they were called in the jaws of the lion before you throw them into the lion's den you just take them and throw them in there and before they can even get their balance they hit the ground to get their balance it's almost like taking a ball and throwing it out a dog or frisbee throw it out the adult throw it throw to throw his B at the dog and won't the dog be catching and he leaps up to catch the frisbee well that's what happened with the Lions you take them and you throw them into the Lions Den and before they can even hit the ground the Lions snagged them up that's what actually the scripture says here look at what this says here in verse 24 it says the Lions had mastery of them and break all their bones and pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the Dan so what it's saying is before they it says literally before they even fail before the foot ever touched the ground they were caught in the air by the Lions and they broke them in pieces they torment pieces then King Darius wrote unto all people nations and languages that dwelt in all the earth peace be multiplied unto you I make a decree that in every Dominion of my kingdom men tremble in fear before the god of Daniel and again that's what's missing today the God of Abraham of Isaac and of Jacob a lot of people do not fear him they think God is not involved they think he's not on the throne I don't know what it is that they if they think he don't exist or they just don't care but there is no fear and if this our government officials our leaders in the offices they don't fear God they don't fear him because if they did their votes via the legislation that they sign into law their agendas their votes would be based on their fear of God but they pass legislation concerning abortions and various things things that go against you know what the righteousness of Jesus Christ they claim that they're an advocate for your faith unlesss Christianity then they got an issue with it you know the laws that they passed oppression and various things is a lot of things are just wrong and I'm talking Republican and Democratic sides a lot of laws on our elected officials the things that they do it's not and however the one thing that I've been telling my wife this world is not our home concerning us of the body of Christ were just we're just strangers passing by when we stop to examine what they do we shake our heads because we know that they don't have God's best interest at heart you know so that's what's missing from the world is fear and reverence of the Lord our God so goes on to say that he said a decree that that that thing that the kingdom of men that they tremble when they fear before the Lord God of that before the god of Daniel for he is the Living God and steadfast forever and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed and his Dominion shall be even until the end he delivereth and rescue a--the and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth who has delivered Daniel from the power of the Lions so this Daniel prosper and the reign of Darius and then the reign of Cyrus the Persian so that's going to take care of our lesson for this day eternal God we thank you for the word which were given unto us the message for the instruction from the praise that we have for you the celebration of our walk with you for your kingdom the existence of the Oh kingdom and this eternity we thank you for the Dominion and your sovereignty we thank you for your power in your mind thank you for allowing the words of this message of this story to have been written and even to be to have been taught this day I pray for those who have witnessed and who were here in the audience who have witnessed this word being taught who've listened to it that it would be applied to their lives that it was easily and treated and that they would draw close to you father that you would strengthen them and that you would prepare all of us to walk with you to worship you in spirit and in truth to strengthen us in our faith so that if ever we find ourselves in the similar situation that we would be calmed and at peace because we know that you are no respecter of persons we're confident in our relationship with you 30 come unto me all ye that Labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest take my yoke upon you and learn of me for I am meek and lowly in heart and you shall find rest unto your souls for my yoke is easy and my burden is light Jesus is asking us to come out of the world and come into his kingdom it's just that simple and once we get there to the kingdom once we come to him we have to be willing to surrender and to submit and learn of him learn of who he is learn of of his authority know who he is and how he sets in authority and and reverence and respect them fear him these are the things that we have to start learning now not what not when the bottom breaks loose but now while we have the opportunity now is the time that we take to learn of him to study him to worship Him he said come out of this world and watch he's asking to take care of you right now before he comes for you he's he's inviting you to come for him this is amazing because he is going to come forth on the cloud and get all of those that have come for him before he comes for you he is asking you to come for him this is what this verse is come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy-laden and when you have done so when you begin to walk with him the time was going to come that when Jesus comes back for his people you are part of the ones that he is going to come for why because you came for him when he invited you amen now go with me to Romans chapter chapter 10 verses 9 through 11 Romans chapter 10 verses 9 through 11 this is how you make the relationship official this is how you get the relationship off the ground between Christ Jesus and yourself here's what the word of the Lord says in verse 9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved when you come into the kingdom of God and you begin to learn of Jesus Christ rule remember when he said come unto me all ye that are heavy laden and and all ye that are laden and heavy laden and I will give you rest you know I liked a lot I like to quote it right come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest take my yoke upon upon you and learn of me I am meek and lowly in heart he said learn of me what you're going to learn is how he laid down his life for all of how he sacrificed himself he didn't have to allow himself to be taken into custody he didn't have to allowed himself to be crucified on a cross he could have called down legions of angels to to rescue him and to make sure that he never got placed in in the hands of men but one of the things that Jesus knew is that if he didn't surrender himself to the will of God and it was the will of God that he would lay down his life and that his blood would be shed that he knew that if he didn't do that then none of us can be redeemed none of us would have eternal life he knew that the shedding of his blood the laying down of his life would would give us eternal life and that's what you have to learn and when you come into that you confess Jesus as being Lord you say I believe and not confess him to be the only begotten Son the the and and Lord of my life that's what this verse is saying here that if thou will confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus meaning that you obey Him you make him Lord and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved and what are you being saved from the wrath of God to come and the condemnation of hell in the lake of fire the lake of fire is real before you go into the lake of fire if you have not accepted Jesus you go to hell okay you will wait in hell and then once once it comes time for the great right throne of judgment we go before God to get judge we go before Jesus Christ to be judged and and it's there that we are sentenced to the lake of fire prior to you hitting that lake of fire you're already being tormented by the flames in the flames by the flames of hell you're already there he's going to send you there or you can be with him in paradise the choice is yours and that choice is for you to make now we've live in and we live now in a time that is so uncertain the the economy and everything the the the the the the plagues that have gone forth the the the prices of food the economy collapsing we live in such uncertain times that the one thing that I can control is the path of my salvation I'm either going to accept God and eternal life who I'm going to reject him and have eternity in hell in the lake of fire this in in uncertain times meaning that you you don't know the outcome and and and you're not certain you're not you're not confident about the one thing that you can be confident about is your your salvation your faith that starts right now it starts now not later it starts now he goes on to say for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation for the scripture saith whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed he's pretty he's he's like a Salesman he's letting you know that if you take a chance on me I won't let you down I won't disappoint you but it starts with you taking a chance you've taken a chance on everything else it's now time for you to take a chance on God why because he's willing to take a chance on you he sees you at your worst with you not even accepting him he has already taken a chance on you and is waiting for you to return the favor okay for there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek for the same lord over all is rich unto all that calls upon him your job is to call upon him he's been calling upon you all that time now he's waiting for you to call upon him okay for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved do your part and God shall do his part quickly go with me to first John 1st chapter verses 8 through 10 when you decide to come unto the Lord Jesus Christ when you call and when you come you have to be willing to you have to have repented of your sins so we've already read about the lady that was called in the very act of adultery how she was laying up you have to repent of your sins okay and and and you're repenting of your sins letting Jesus know that look here's what I gave up you gave up your life for me Lord Jesus and I thank you I'm giving up my sins for you I'm letting them go I'm letting them go right now I've repented I've taken responsibility for what I've done and I've stopped doing it okay that's repentance of sin so you're giving that up for him because of what he gave up for you so it says if we say that we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us so you if you're trying to hide it and saying ain't nothing wrong I'm not broken I'm straight he can't help you but if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness he knows that you're broken he knows that you are not perfect but if you would just stop sinning and if you would come to him he will cleanse you meaning the stain that sin leaves on you he will cleanse you and he will forgive you for what you've done because he doesn't want to have you perish in hell and in the lake of fire that's not what he's about he is a God of love you will send yourself before he sends you you're actually making the choice of where your eternal destination is going to be the only thing we're doing right now is giving you some guidance so that you can have make the best decision for the rest of your your eternal life we're trying to give you some guidance but the decision is yours he's not sending you your you're sending yourself you're choosing to go and he is getting out of the way to allow you to go you either going to go with him through Christ Jesus are you gonna go with the devil and all of his angels it's up to you which company you want to be in for the rest of your life okay if we say that we have not sinned we make him a liar and his word is not in us quickly go with me to Psalm 32 verse 5 it's about acknowledging and not trying to hide what's wrong with you because the only way to correct was broken is to discover what's broken about you you can't fix what you don't know it's broke right so you have to be able to discover what it is and you taken responsibility for it you can't hide it he says I've acknowledged my sin unto thee this is David David even understood we read in the New Testament and you know what Paul is saying you know about taking responses I'm sorry not Paul about what John is saying about taking responsibility not hiding it's you know not hiding you know if we say that we have no sin you know we make him a liar and his word is not in us you know but even David knew that look at what David says I acknowledged my sin unto the Amon iniquity I have not hid I said I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord for thou forgave us my iniquity if you try to hide all you're doing is making room for your sin so that you could continue to live out the lust of the flesh okay so if you try to hide if you keep trying to hide it before the Lord all you're doing is making provisions forward and then lastly go with me to Acts chapter 2 verses 36 through 47 next chapter 2 verse verses 36 through 47 the day of Pentecost this particular day of Pentecost the Holy Ghost fell down on the disciples and not only did it come on the disciples but it went inside them and it began to use their tongues to speak in foreign languages the reason why I did so because of this this particular day of Pentecost there were people there from various nationalities various cultures and the Holy Ghost was using the tongue of the disciples to to get the attention of all the foreigners that were present on this day of Pentecost once the Holy Ghost had their attention Peter began to minister the gospel to them and here's what he says in the midst of this sermon beginning at verse 36 therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God had made that same Jesus whom you crucified both Lord and Christ Christ meaning the Anointed One we're going to read about Christ another word for Christ the Jewish word and the Messiah we're going to read his name even comes up in in the Book of Daniel especially around a knife chapter his his uh his his name comes up and Peter mentions it now when he calls him Christ and he says the name that you've been hearing about in the Old Testament the one that shall come that's the Lord Jesus Christ and he is the one who has come and what did we do when he came we crucified him we nailed we nailed him to a cross we turned our back on him we rejected him we rebelled against him and we we placed a moan across ridiculed and why he was on there and and crucified him we killed him okay and he says you've made out have been the one to drive the nails through his hands you may not have been the one to pierce him on the side you may not have been the one to drive the nails through his feet you may not have been the one to see to his crucifixion but your rejection and your rebellion of he'll make you just as complicit as those that had done that to him that applies to us as well you've may not have been the one to drive the nails through his hands but your sinful lifestyle your rebellion and your rejection of the stone the the cornerstone the Chiefs cornerstone your objection of him make you just as guilty as those that had done those things to him amen so he says both Lord and Christ he's the one that sure rule and reign and he is the Messiah when they heard this they were pricked in their heart and they said unto Peter and to the rest of the Apostles men and brethren what should we do so when they heard the sermon they were convicted in their heart and when they were convicted they they wanted to change cuz that's what conviction does it reveals what's broken about you and it makes you want to move to change that to no longer live with it but to do something about it that's what conviction does that's what guilt written is makes you want to do something about what's wrong with you okay so when they heard this truth and they received the truth that Jesus is Lord and that they've been rebellion and they've rejected him they wanted to do something about it so here's what they said in verse 37 what shall we do Peter and I'm saying to you when you hear this message and God convicts you in your heart you should be asking the same question what can I do to make this thing right to be in right standings with God okay that's their question what can I do to be in right standings with God since I've rejected his son what can I do to make matters right here's what people says in verse 38 he says repent you and I we've just talked about repentance turn into accepting responsibility of what you've done wrong and turning away from it so that you no longer do it giving up the sin because Christ gave up his life for you you give up the sin for him that's what repentance is okay and then it says be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins now it's hard to be baptized nowadays with the whole social distancing and all various things forth and so on and maybe that's a plot of the enemy knots and that that that that the pandemic don't exist but maybe the enemy got us in fear got people in fear so that they stay away one from another so that you can't get baptized if you wanted to have that service done but those of you that have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior meaning that he you obey Him and he saved you you want to go through this ceremony you want to go through baptism and what it's what the man of God is going to do is to lay you down totally submerge you in a in a pool of water a tub or a pool of water you're totally submerged and then immediately bring you back up out of the water when you go down into the water your old man goes down into the water your new man comes up out of the water you are being buried in Christ Jesus and when you come up out of the water you're being resurrected in Christ Jesus that's why we go through it and have it done but if we live a fear-based life we stay in our houses and we don't want nobody to come near us but God is not the author of confusion nor do we fear this world we don't want by sight we walk by faith pray to the Lord our God that you can be baptized and that he will lead you or send someone your way to carry out the ceremony with you the enemy is going to try to rob you of this beautiful ceremony to be buried in Christ Jesus and to be resurrected in Christ Jesus to have your old man goes down it going down into the water and have your new man coming up out of the water the enemy is trying to rob you of that beautiful ceremony don't let them have that it's a it's a beautiful ceremony don't let them have it don't let them steal it from you your when you come up out of the water you come up a new man you're cleanse your sins have been washed away hold your place go with me to to Romans chapter six verses three through six Romans chapter six verses three through six know ye not that so many of us were baptized and in Jesus Christ that we were baptized into his death therefore we are also therefore we are buried with him by baptism and the death that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father even so we also should walk in the newness of life so he is not saving you for you to continue to sin he is allowing you to go through baptism to be buried in Christ Jesus and to be resurrected in Christ Jesus and when you come up out of the water you come up as a new creature in Christ all your sins have been washed away that is the newness of life okay he says for we've been planted together in the likeness of his death which is the baptism our being buried in them it says we should also be in the likeness of his resurrection when he come up when we come up out of the water it's like crisis being brought back to life from the grave knowing this that our old man is crucified with him that the body of sin might be destroyed that his fourth we shall not serve sin so he's not saving you for you to continue to sin get baptized pray to the Father through the son that God will bring you to this ceremony or bring someone to perform the ceremony upon you so Christ says Peter says repent be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost remember God is going to place his spirit inside of you and that Spirit is going to transform you from the inside out amen for the promises unto you and to your children and to all that are afar off even as many as the Lord God shall call God does not take the light in the death and the perishing of the wicked that's not what God is about he is the god of the living not the god of the dead but man chooses to die or they chooses the lake of fire they'll choose life if the choice is up to you to choose life with God or to choose life without God and just as you have that choice now you have that voice and eternal life meaning that you make the choice in eternal life now so you can't get there and you see that the lake of fire is real you say God I choose you now no you make that decision now you make that decision now amen and it's up to you but no matter how bad you are no matter how unrighteous you have been if you choose the Lord this day he will accept you all those that are afar off any as many even as many as the Lord God shall call no matter how unrighteous you have been God will still invite you to be a part of his family that's the kind of God that he is he only requires you to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior and to repent of your sins amen with many other words did he testify and exhort saying save yourselves from this godless lawless perverse generation then they that gladly received his word were baptized in the same day there were added unto them about 3,000 souls so even those when they heard and they received the gospel even Dave back in back then had gotten baptized and God added to the size of our family they continued steadfastly in the Apostles doctrine and fellowship and breaking of bread and in prayers once God gets you to the point that your life becomes stable to where you have peace and you begin to prosper you don't forsake those things that got you to where you are if you begin to stop doing those things that got you to this point in your life if you begin to stop praying stop fasting stop studying the Word of God and not fellowship E you're going to notice that your spirit man begin to get weak and your flesh begins to grow strong and when your flesh starts strengthening it becomes harder for you to resist temptations and you find yourself in sin when your spirit man is stronger it's easier for you to resist temptation and you find yourself not as culpable to sin amen so once you find yourself given giving heed to sin you're on the track to falling away from God and you don't want that to happen because the dangers of falling away from God when you do it too many times God eventually turn you over to yourself to do those things that you would otherwise have a conscious doing you no longer have a conscience about doing those things he let you do any and everything you want to do that this world does without a conscience about it amen and fear came upon and here it is again remember that Darius sent a decree out saying everyone should fear the Lord our God well look at what what what what it's saying here in acts fear came upon every soul many wonders and signs were done by the apostles and all that believed were together and had all things common they sold their possessions and good and they parted them to all men as every man had need they continuing daily on one Accord in the temple breaking bread and from house to house they did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart praising God and having favor with all people and the Lord added to the church daily as such should be saved eternal God we come to say thank you and we bless you thank you for calling and adding to the calling those and adding them to the size of our family and to the body of Christ gifts and callings that you have included to the body of Christ Lord you are a generous kind gracious merciful loving God and we take this opportunity to acknowledge it right now that you would send Jesus Christ to die for our sins you'll only begotten son and he would go go through with it God we say thank you right now well because of the price that he has paid there is so many people that are now waking up and calling on Jesus to save them from their sins God we act such that they be not hindered in any kind of way but that they call and that they come that they surrender their selves O God that they try not to hide their brokenness but that you would allow the brokenness to be revealed in them so that they can be fixed so that they can be healed so that they can be forgiven Father I asked right now that you call people out of this world and call them into yo kingdom and that they would hear that they would heed that they would answer your calls and your cries and in turn that you would hear our calls our cries and our prayers after we have repented of all of our sins father you are good and you have always been good we hold you to your promises to know that Jesus will come for us to know that we will have eternal life with you help us to hold to our compliance of your will and of your ways I give you thanks O Lord because you offer ever worthy you are kind-hearted very nurturing God Father we thank you for all things for not giving up on us and making an eternal abode for us and with us we give thanks to you O Lord in Jesus Christ's Holy Name we pray amen folks I thank you for allowing my family and I to be a part of your Bible study you see me looking at the clock because I'm always trying not to make it go long but we do allow this the Holy Ghost to have its way and I hope that you understood our message today and that it was easily entreated and that you're blessed by it amen happy Father's Day to our fathers out there that what
