I think we know which one I'm taking home they could not care less it's fine I'm not going to take it personally I'm Dan lovey I'm here with BuzzFeed to answer some of your questions while playing with puppies I think it's the greatest day of my [Music] life oh look at them all oh hello hello oh you were asleep I saw you sleeping all right then oh hello hello can I and then we can have a nice little nap together we can have a nice little nap together well I had done comedy for such a long time but I had this desire to kind of explore something a little bit deeper and a little bit more serious considering it's a movie about grief it's also about friendship and it's also about coming to terms with yourself and and self-improvement oh no it's the underside of the I don't know what you call it but the gentle little soft Underside I really like the like package of it all I like the idea of like bringing something to life obviously I think the directing was the hardest part it was the most challenging part I'd never directed a film before I'd never written a film before so the whole thing was kind of this new [Music] adventure you set your movie in London and Paris you hope that maybe someone says yes and then they do and the food on a French set is beyond tables and tables and tables of any kind of food you could imagine pastries and meats and vegge and cheeses and they used to serve wine which Unfortunately they do not now I think we know which one I'm taking home they could not care less it's fine I'm not going to take it personally um I just met Annie Lennox recently yeah Annie Lennox like a lot of film and television Sophia Copa I really loved music videos growing up so like Spike Jones and Mark Romanek that was I think my first taste of like visual [Music] storytelling if I had the idea for the shits Creek movie there would be a shitz Creek movie until that day comes there will not be a shits Creek movie sadly I think we're all just so proud of what we did and we ended on such a high that it's like you don't want to talk with [Music] that we make a damn good maple syrup and I'm not saying that just to caricature my own country my grandfather used to make it on the farm and it was delicious a lot of us communicate a lot I mean you know Noah came to my 40th birthday last summer and you know my sister is my sister um I talk to Annie from time to time she's up in Canada we had the greatest experience making that show it's something we'll all kind of get to share with each other so I think when you go through something as special as that you're always going to be bonded not in the way that I am with these pumps Thanksgiving but it's not strange it's only strange to people who don't know but like the marshmallow sweet potatoes seem to be strange to friends that I've shared me meals with with my family over the holidays we do a marshmallow sweet potato anyone who is not from America uh or in my case Canada finds that to be the most bizarre culinary nightmare my dad although he's terrible on the phone so that would be the time that you'd actually push me to call him and then I'd get nothing I don't have a lot of celebrity friends sadly or not so sadly I love my friends which makes answering this question very boring I think you'd have to swing for the star like Brad Pit Ryan Gosling let's just say Ryan Gosling or Brad Pit we want the box office we want the headline oh yeah I took so much from shitz Creek the little paintings over our beds I took home at least four costumes from each of our main characters I took home a lot of the costumes from good grief there's a lot of great coats in this movie it's a big coat movie there was some really really beautiful production design in good grief some really gorgeous like rooms I stole some blankets some like really nice throws Annie has one that like where she's like flipping her hair which I think is really fun I have one of myself where I'm just saying like what what what what I've had people walk up to me on the street and show me conversations that they have with their friends that is exclusively shitscreek memes trying to escape this is going to I'll work this out with a therapist thanks BuzzFeed this has been a dream come true and I hope you watch my movie um out on Netflix good grief and just to let you all know these gorgeous dogs are available for adoption at Muddy Paws so do yourself a favor adopt a pet change your life I did and it was the greatest decision I ever [Music] made
