the first MBA highlight I think you had was the game-winner against New Orleans now you're young are you surprised that coaches drawn up the play for you no I wasn't surprised because it's it's funny but like at the end of games at this time my career like when coach would maybe be like into the game coach would come to the huddle and I just can't always be like I would look around and it was just like everybody would just be waiting for Coach to drop a play and I remember the first time I came to the huddle and I was like give me the ball and everybody kind of just looked at me like nobody really said nothing so coaches like dribbles you up a play for me to get the ball and I missed that happened another time where I was like give me the ball and I missed again and then this this game came and I said the same thing and like coach actually like laughed like I remember in a huddle he kind of like smirked a little bit and jJ Hickson it was actually was in a game we're here I'm a recent boy you were crazy everybody like he kind of laughed at me walking on the court like bro you crazy you know I finally may weren't but I was asking for the ball and missing the shot like three times before this happened you didn't have the damn time celebration yet right what year did you break that out my third year I think okay 2015 I've never planned a celebration like when I did it I just like it was on the spot like literally on his file your rookie year was great you one Rookie of the Year but one of the big moments was when you played Kobe near the end of the year Kobe killed me this night you had 38 to though he had 47 yeah he did but were there nerves before playing against Kobe at all I don't know if I would say nerves like we played the Lakers the very first game of the season my rookie year like opening night it was Halloween in that night I was like closer to nervous than any other time yeah I don't really get nervous but that night I was just like man they got Steve Nash Kobe the white power I mean they had everybody Antoine Jameson got drafted by the Warriors and I was a kid I got season tickets like so I'm playing against them and that like that night I was like excited but I had more like butterflies than the nerves and by the time this came like we had a bunch of players out injured and I was like we're not making the playoffs like we don't have nothing to lose and I was just gonna I'm gonna coming to battle Kobe yeah Amy didn't it didn't work out well he was guarding you and you were guarding him and you you like he scored on you and then II went found the court and scored on the three and it was a cool back and forth and he actually showed you love after the game like look at his face because that's what he said that he gained here just right yeah you cold just keep working it was like that mm-hmm he just showed a lot of love you know he had like a lot of courage and stuff to say so right at that moment I wasn't really thinking like man this is Kobe I was like more in a competitive space so I was like you could probably see I was just kind of like Anthony Johnny here like that but I mean that's Kobe so yeah and then in the postgame he said let's listen to this and he's not afraid of anything yes a whole package he's got the three ball to mid-range get over to the rim I obviously and we just had to go get him you just have to say to hell with it just go travel when you heard that what was your first reaction I was like that's crazy because during the game I didn't really think about it like I can't believe what I'm doing or I can't believe like I'm going back and forth for Kobe I wasn't thinking about it like that and then when I got it's usually different when you play in the game and like you expect stuff for yourself and you like I'm gonna be a step off the court and step outside of your own mind and you like got the Twitter and all that stuff and everybody who's always knowing you is texting you like you just went at it with Kobe you just had 38 and something you like we just lost in that type of attitude with everybody else they seeing it like through a different lens than you are cuz it's happening to you it was once I got out of it and I was like watching it on TV at home after the game I was like wow that really just happened and he isn't a guy that shows respect to everybody yeah I mean he I think he just he respected I didn't come out there on some little bro stuff yeah I would I didn't just come out there and just back down cuz he Kobe mm-hmm what have you kind of improved on since then I think some of the main things I've improved on since then it's probably my range being able to do a lot of that stuff but from further out so it's like the rim mid-range three and then deep three yeah changing my pace so like how I get to the shots in those different spaces how I get to a step back how I get to a floater how I draw a foul and just changing my pace and just thinking the game just being smarter I think that's been probably the biggest jump that I've made from watching film I mean seven years of experience now so where did you at your confidence from because the game-winner against Detroit can you walk me through this one well I knew I wanted to get the last shot I didn't want to really get too deep because Andre Drummond mm-hmm Josh Smith like we did was good shot blockers especially at that time so I don't want to get too deep but I knew that if I can just get a shot off I knew I would you know I have a pretty solid chance because you know I'm always able to get a shot off at least I mean I was a tough shot but I got it off so Kobe said his favorite feeling was quieting a crowd in an away game is that up there for you or would you rather hit a game-winner at home I mean I think I just naturally play better on the road because of that yeah you he's like the only people you have on your side is your coaches in your team it's probably a few fans in there but you probably can't hear them so quiet in a crowd or just like deflating the crowd just taking the energy out of a building you come out up 5 at halftime you come out in the third quarter in throwing a big run go up 21 yeah to end the third and then the fans just like should we stay should we just leave getting over you just kind of take the energy out of the building I think that feeling is just as good as hitting the game-winner on the road because it's just like you take the life away and I'm saying and is the end of game your favorite situation cuz the game-winner against the Cavs like another one I mean I love the indie game is it's like a intense moment because it's literally like win or lose most of the time like this situation it was I was calm as ever because it's a tie game if I miss we go to overtime yeah like whatever but like it's usually an intense moment because you like you like we're right here like it's a tied game but if I hit this it's game if I miss it it's overtime but like you never want to go to overtime you know so it's I don't know it's just a great feeling when it's like okay they didn't get away on you and go up by 15 you didn't get away from them we right here like this is it why do you think you're such a good closer cuz I don't fear the moment yeah I just don't if I miss the shot I can live with the criticism and I can live with the blame and all that stuff and if I make it I can I can handle like the success it won't make me think too much of myself or it won't make me like get carried away it's what I expect cuz I know how much time I actually put into this stuff so yeah well you had this sequence where you hit like four straight threes lets us feel like when you just dropped four threes on them we not losing tonight yeah once I saw like two in a row go in I was like oh my to just go ahead and try to just finish this one I guess why I took this one after the second one I was just like we're not losing this game now are there moments where you even impress yourself not until after I watch the game mm-hmm like during the game I'm never just like I don't think about like what's actually happening yeah I'm like looking at the score how much time is left what I'm like just managing too many different things like I'm watching too many too many different things to like really take in what I'm doing it in afterwards I'd be like man like I literally watch the highlight like five times like well that's crazy yeah do your teammates and like all the coaches they immediately know when you're in this type of rhythm just to keep giving you the ball like you don't even have to call for it they're telling you to get the ball I mean I call for it yeah I'll tell them give me the bug they know I'm not gonna come in there like give me the ball I'm hot god life is just like sometimes I'll get hot and I like pastor CJ even though I might have a shot and he's a little like got some space I might make the extra pass when I'm going it just it just works like CJ will come give me the ball I keep going mm-hmm coach will be like dang what do you want and stuff like that so like they helped me stay in position where I can keep rolling but it's not like one of those I just keep saying give me the ball type of thing yeah the game winner versus the Lakers you know you're gonna shoot this right when I realized like sometimes when I get isolation of top I'd be like okay I'm looking for the for the me to run a defender at me cuz that's what a lot of teams try to do at the last second so I can't get a shot off but once I realize I had him by myself and you know they took the point guard off me and put like a long wing I knew what shot I was gonna get to I was just trying to back him up so I kind of dribbled on the sleep gave him one hard move to make them like jump and I can sit in the defensive stance like I'm gonna attack right here boom boom and he jump back back away from them once I get to that and I get a clean look as I'm shooting it it don't matter how close he gets to me after that like right here once I got that look they don't really matter what the defender day and then the one against Houston did Chandler Parsons fall asleep is like that is that what happened not it was actually talking about how they were gonna defend it imagine Beverly was like you want to switch it you're gonna stay and they was talking and the play wasn't even for me the play was to throw a lob to LaMarcus no all of us are supposed to us three we supposed to clear towards half-court and then we was gonna lob it to the opposite side of the rim for a lob to LA but Moe Williams is like dang after play go get the ball yeah and I was like all right so the whole time they were trying to communicate how they were gonna defend it I was just watching the referee to see when he was gonna hand the ball over and I was gonna take off as soon as he had the ball over and as soon as he handed the ball over I took off while I was talking oh is that and that's why you're clapping yeah so that's not it like hurry up like and what did you see him hand it's on you you see me take off and I didn't want to shoot it too fast I knew I could get a shot off comfortably time I got caught it turn like top I got a nice dip in I mean it was a full shot I didn't have to like flick the shot at the rims like a full shot I just had to do it quick yeah you know wasted motion looking back is this kind of like your I made it moment in the NBA a lot changed after this I mean this was just my second year when you say things change for you like what changed endorsements people recognizing me more often seeing myself in commercials and on TV more often yeah more media requests I got a signature shoe after this yeah because I became more like it was a thing so I mean this was on top of other stuff like I participated in every all-star event that year yeah I had a bunch of game winners day years it was just everything just add it up and this was like icing on the cake like I said now the side by side with I'm sure you've seen this with brain and Roy in your shop same team same area have you talked to Brian Rowe at all yeah I spoke to be royal oh yeah because you guys were never overlapped his teammates right but I'm not my rookie year he played for Minnesota he's dying to play with Minnesota and he like was even hurt most of the year so thank you play like one game has he given you any advice when I was younger like my fourth year in the league third or fourth year like that's when we spoke more more so than you know and he would just like expect this you know you had a big first year to make the jump you gonna have to do this and try to look out for you it was just more like kind of preparing me for like what was coming next thing after thing we would talk about stuff like that then I run into him every once in a while like I run into him at the Les Schwab Tournament a few years back and we chop it up more like we had a real long face-to-face conversation one so I mean we've been in communication after the shot felt like the spotlight on you was much higher you've had three moments where people that were known as some of the best defenders in leaf they couldn't stop you I just think when you're dealing with like a really good defender like you dream on or Avery Bradley or I drew holiday there's like somebody like that klay Thompson what you can't do is like be passive or like let them be great at that you got to attack them like you got to show a good defender or a great defender the respect of attacking them because if you don't they just going they don't eat you up like it's gonna be a long bad night so you just gotta you gotta tackle you maybe can be fragile and timid got a got a go at him the play against the Jazz when you drop Elijah Millsap and Duncan go bare Elijah falls down and then you dunk on Rudy what's a better feeling dropping somebody or dunking on somebody Duncan or somebody yeah cuz I even know he fell and I didn't I didn't like cross him over I think he was just trying to keep up with me and like lost his footing or something the trip looked like yeah is this your best poster cuz it's a gogo bear no I mean go bear it he wasn't he was like he was young right here mm-hmm I don't think he was like the defender female the time and Eddie got in there but then you also had the move against John Henson in I'm trying to figure out why he fell I think it was the like I like to go left yeah I'm sure and a scouting report they knew I was I'd like to go left so when I like put my right foot into the ground like I was gonna explode that way I think he just tried to anticipate my my movement and he like took a step that way like bone right there yeah and when I change direction I think he just just tripped yeah what do team's try to do to stop you traps double-teams loading up like if I'm on the left side of the court if they guard and person to the top stay on the outside of the the outside of the lane if they guard somebody in the opposite corner there it's poured all the way over obviously lay in line so where they if I skip it to the opposite corner they just don't Bank on the fact that they can close out you know in that long pass yeah they're gonna load it up and make sure that I'm not the one is you know getting clean looks and getting the play against one person they make me play in the crowd yeah they just try to make it tough on you because no matter what you're still gonna get your twenty twenty-five thirty right you're not give too much opportunity to stopped it yeah I'm allowed to shoot as many shots as I want what shot I won't so it's hard to stop people when they got that kind of freedom yeah these next three game winners before every game winner you had a huge dunk it's the Nuggets play go down in the middle of the court dunk it then to tie the game what happened here how come they lost you well because they had we sent one guy off we sent CJ off first and he kind of just ran wide so his man wouldn't be able to help cuz he had to chase him and the guy guard Myers had to stay close to Myers because Myers could shoot so like usually in that situation the big will back off and protect the rim but Myers could just pop to the ball and get a shot if he did help on me so he stayed attached and we knew that was gonna happen yeah and then end of the game same thing right just there's no stopping you once you go down the court I mean for Reed I knew I was gonna get around him he was close to blocking it though he was very like let's look at this replay right here so close and then in the next one this this is your best putback dunk though all year yeah season yes I do get a good dunk every time if you're a defender what should you be trying to do here he let me get left first of all but I think just recognizing the clock like I would have saw how long I held onto the ball like right now it's four seconds left and I'm that far away I was just made Devin Booker was already at the nail at the free-throw line I would just I would have you know I would never let me get back to the left cuz I went away from the defense okay and in the next one against the Warriors which was also this year you had a good dunk in the beginning of the game thought kb was doing double no i don't think he was okay duct tape on the broadcast missed what happened there's complete madness there was a tip or a steal what happened rap stuff mm-hmm we drive step right here and then he tried to throw a pass over ammo ammo tipped it and nerd party to throw it ahead to me does this one feel really good how much family did you have in Oakland I watch the game yeah this one felt good because I didn't play well in this game like I missed a lot of shots in this game mm-hmm and as soon as I got it right here I was gonna try to do a quick layup but I know he would have blocked it and then when I got it back I was like this guy to go in when do you know when to call timeout and then when do you know to like let the badness just go on and you're gonna figure out a play and find a way to win the game the Phoenix Suns were yeah we it was a tie game it was a tie game right here and make actually had the ball on the side out before this and we got a five-second call so they they would have had the last shot of the game but they got a five-second [ __ ] they couldn't inbound it and I looked down to our bench and our coach was trying to sit him for timeout and I told him don't call the timeout because I didn't want Phoenix to be able to come by the time I was set up a defense yeah and he didn't call it and they like they had a small lineup on the court and like they didn't figure it out so like it ended up working out so I think you got to recognize the situation against the Warriors like they would have never let me get the ball mm-hmm like I would have never got the ball if we just did a side out of bounds so I think you got to recognize like this situation it is you had another highlight against the Warriors the ankle breaker and this is my favorite question ask when you drop somebody how much pressure do you put on yourself to hit the shot I mean you got to make the shot yeah so I think it's good like I think after you drop somebody you have more confidence to make a chef yeah like everybody like oh and I'm and you just like you're just going in but like I didn't even think about it I just let it go because I thought maybe it was a push off but it wasn't I mean I just came off I was going fast and he was trying to cut me off and I just stopped on a dime so I don't know how he like he literally like jumped over there and like did that I don't even know how you did that everyone wants to talk about the OKC game-winner but before we get to that there was I think you hit five threes in two minutes against the Thunder and a few years ago I don't know if you remember this yeah I do remember this I mean that's that shot I just made right there I missed one right before that same shot but it felt good and I was like I could get going right now just because I had a shot felt and then once I hit those two in a row I think there's like a left step but yeah like the ball was just feeling good coming out of my hands like I knew if I got a chance like imma shoot a few of these in so that's all it was playoff series I mean everyone made it about you and Westbrook were you surprised by that at all no I knew it was about is there a rivalry between you Westbrook I think a competitive rivalry yeah like I respect him a lot and he respect me a lot but it's not like I was disappointed that people tried to make it a dislike type of rivalry yeah because me and Russ is actually cool and I don't like I don't have a problem with him you don't have a problem with me and it was like a video that came out where he was like I've been busting your ass for years yeah and like that became like the thing you know I'm saying and it was just like are they don't like each other they hate each other it's like I do super competitive and so am I he ain't friendly he's like open with his meanness like louder about it like I'm not friendly either but I'm just not about to be like rah-rah to you I'm just gonna be like mm-hmm you're gonna feel my vibe you're gonna feel my energy and you're gonna know so but I mean like is it's all competitive like it's competitive that's all it is it's a mental battle too though right I don't try to get in people's head I think it gets in people's head enough when they like talk trash to me and I don't say too much I'm not very moved by somebody like talking [ __ ] to me yeah like you can say what you want I might look at you like alright whatever or I might say something slick but I'm not about to get back into it like okay I'm gonna say this to him next give his head yeah if I got something to say I'm gonna say it or if you say something to me and I got a response I'm gonna respond but I'm not about to get back into this okay you know so this is the play that everyone wants to watch I feel like I should just hand it off to you and you break down everything that happens so this play don't y'all might not have it but it goes back to the play before this we had to borrow down to 38 seconds left usually in that situation you want to try to go quick and score and get the last shot so like who's down - I got the ball I just pushed it up the court real quick and I scored to tie the game up and it was like 33 seconds left on the clock pressure was really on there I was like if they score it - like we can go back and try to just for us over time obviously Russ and Paul George both dangerous in his moment of the game but at this point in the game I think Paul George was 15 for 22 in the field yeah he was like 15 for 20 that's like 75% a lot of shots so like once I saw he didn't have the ball I was like you know we just gonna have to live with this because you know the hot man don't have the ball and the rest you know swallowed a whistle there and let him play through some contact so once we had the last shot I was like I'm not playing in a crowd I'm not going in here and they you know grab my arm and get away with it I just waved the screen off because I wanted to keep it right here and he was far back and once I saw you know I had some space even though I was a deep I was at a comfortable range so I was like he backed up off me enough I went between the legs just to get him to move a little bit to my left and he moved to my left and I stepped back to the right and got a clean look at one point did you know that you were gonna shoot it from that far I knew as soon as I was gonna call the screen up and then I realized that I had to space and I told him stay over there that's when I knew right there I was like okay because I'm looking at him and his seven seconds left my okay he way back there I cross over he moved to my left clean look there was no doubt in your mind that you weren't gonna call timeout right I was not calling it yeah you can see half the rest miss Iran I was you was what I almost went out of bounds trying to go get to the book yeah what was your reaction when Paul George said that was a bad shot I just laughs like how you were 8 of 12 from 30 feet in this series like not in the entire season it was that series alone is this the best shot you've ever made is this better than the Houston shot I think there's one better than Houston cuz then you wave them goodbye - I was sure it's pot - I'm sure it felt a little bit sweeter though right because they're kind of all the back and forth and it was a lot of back and forth in this series like we was like back and forth on the court in the press like press conferences like everything it was just it was a lot they thought there was better than us and we thought it was better than there and they said stuff we said some stuff was this the best game you ever played that's funny you said that because I told I was working out this morning with one of my coaches and I'll actually watch this game last week like the entire game and I was telling him how he was down 15 in the fourth quarter we started the game off I think we was down 15 CJ was in foul trouble so he sat out most of the first half having 50 hit the game-winner series like walk off I told him literally this morning after we worked out like I think this is probably my best game I completely agree the face this became a meme right afterwards are you gonna hang this in your wall one day though I already have it you do where is it hanging in your house those on the wall I have is funny because I got is like paintings but they're like really nice paintings and he looked like pitchers mm-hmm and I have like the Houston Rockets where I'm like and I clapped my hand this when I'm shooting and then it's after I make it so it's like they like staggered like this and I got same thing like this where it's just like when I'm shooting it and then when I wave it and then I got this how many times have you seen the clip this one yeah and I've seen this so many times that it don't even make sense same just like on that timeline I see it like after it happened I watched it a bunch of times our team like the day after we won the series everybody was like watching it and around the facility like playing it over and over like look what he did look what this person did look at your brother cuz that's my brother right there well speaking of one of the people Seth Curry have you do you know what he did he told me he told him was this game that's exactly what he said the whole time you just tell him the game is over right the cold part is like using my brother in the clip like he starts running right in one of the replays he starts running he run it he put his drink down that's my sister right there my brother is literally into my food that's so funny this is the most liked post in house of islands history this warrior this one right here it has almost two million engagements really it has been shared I think I'm one million people DM due to their friends people are still saying it to me yeah like people sit like in conversation you know how you can like look up the gifts yeah like sending the people like people send me there or it'll be like when everybody's scared to ask can they spend a night you you ask and your mom say yes yeah they got all of us on there like power on top of each other I had never seen social media that crazy I think LeBron I mean every single NBA star tweeted about it what did your phone look like right after so right now I got a hundred and thirty four unread tix okay usually like on Christmas odd because I had the same phone number since seventh grade so yeah Christmas I'll have a bunch of text and like eventually I'll like look through them like I can't respond to all of them but I'll look through the - it's a bunch of numbers I don't have and then my birthday the same thing and I looked through them or whatever even the first shot against Houston it was the same thing I had a bunch of text I eventually got through them when I didn't made this shot it was like I still have not gotten back all the Tim texts I got like up to like 600 and some text messages I've been totally didn't like the number down I'm still at 134 and that's literally all from this and then like my birthday and like everything after that so it's like making it to the Western Conference Finals and it was just like building up and like I still haven't got back to like no unread text everyone now says that this is the shot that ended the OKC era I wouldn't say like they said all right he made this shot we blowing it up but it's like kind of like but the wheels and mows in this series and I wouldn't say that it did it but I think like the fact that we beat him and that shot did it you said the shot was better than the Houston shot right yeah okay see when you yeah because you're the only player to have to series ending shots it has to be cool to kind of be the only person in history to have that yeah I remember um two years after I did made the one against Houston like it was a local media member in Portland I was like damn you had the one moment against the Rockets and you know what's next I was like you got to have another one and he was like yeah but it's only happening like five times and summer and I was like I know I just need another big moment like that and then like just came yeah before the series Evan Turner shared a DM where you said you feel like you're gonna have a breakout post season and you did what made you feel that way before the season of the post season started like I was first team all-nba the previous season and then we got swept and I had a bad play off and I'm like stuff like that happen like it gotta be something better in store because like I don't treat people bad I don't do bad stuff like I work hard I'm gonna good teammate I'm coaching how does this happen like what where was like how does this even follow me and like the plan for me so I knew something better was don't come just because of like how I live my life how I do stuff and you know like what I continue to do even after that experience I kept working harder I stayed positive I didn't blame nobody I took the blame I took all the criticism and people talking bad about me on TV mm-hmm and I just took it and I kept working and I got better and then I came back and backed up like I could have been first team again this year yeah and I came and backed it up but then like a nerd went down the end of the season CJ went down and you know our other best players are out and we had like 14 12 14 games left and a tough schedule and I like I shouldered it like obviously it was a team effort but I stepped up be in every game and I think we finished like 12 and 2 and 12 and 3 at the end of the season short-handed and it's just how I felt playing like I was like I'm in too good of a rhythm like I feel healthy I feel strong my mind is like right I just felt like this gonna be like I went through the hard part last year I stuck it out I stayed true to it and like it's feminine it's about to work out like something different is about to happen and we obviously we got swept in the Western Conference Finals but I mean that's an accomplishment to make it to that point where you know the final four in the league so what did you learn from the Pelican sweep though the year before it's not just gonna happen like we was a three seed that season he was having a great a great season you know as a team we got home court for the first time since I've been the league I didn't I didn't think we didn't have to play but coming into the playoffs I thought it was just gonna continue to to roll in our direction and then we came out lost Game one then it was like nah I ain't gonna lose both games oh yeah like lose the second one at home then Game three you start feeling that pressure like oh man we denver got to win both of these games like if we really want to have a chance then you get blue out Game three is like yeah they not gonna talk about nothing else but like damn you didn't do this CJ you didn't do this like I and then you get down Oh three and it's like you're getting trapped you get double-teamed and they're not gonna say that they're gonna say man drew Holliday locked him up yeah and like it makes perfect sense cuz Drew is a great defender and I'm struggling so they're not going they're gonna make the narrative what they want it to be you know I'm saying so it's just like you deal with all that stuff and it's just like wow yeah terrible experience how long were you down for like after that last season I'm still not over it yeah cuz I just wish that just never happen but yeah I kind of I'm not over it even today like I wish that I never had that experience but when it actually happened like I started moving forward because I didn't want to like rest in it I didn't want to sit in it and just pout and all that so like yeah I started training I made myself watch the series again because like even though it was bad it wasn't it wasn't what people talked about it as I'm saying you know how they say it's never as good or as bad as it seems yeah like it was a sweep we got blew out one game you know I mean so I watched it and that kind of it's that better with me then you know after I like watched it and I was okay like I had some opportunities that I should have made play too fast here didn't know me so I mean I was good with it I wish the thing as a whole didn't happen like getting swept as a three seed home port and all that stuff but like to be fair it wasn't like a normal three six right wasn't there only like a couple of game different so it wasn't like one or two yeah so it wasn't the main three sixes 3-6 yeah you and Steph are the only players that can like pull up from 30 and you still think it's going in when did that start I've always shot from deep yeah you've been in college it's just I've become really good at this because I started working on it all the time so I would say like probably like my second or third year and the league I started just pulling up from wherever how do you take that next step is it in the summer you're just training for it or meant like is it like mental stuff like you're just more experienced you understand the game a lot better like what is it I think is I think everybody trains but you know everybody doesn't train with a purpose like they don't looking in the mirror and really challenging themselves so I think that's part of it like really looking at what you don't do well enough and what you do well and be great at the stuff that that you do well and then get better at your stuff that you are average at or the stuff that you're just good at improve in those areas but also like becoming a smarter player each year in the league like the more you can learn and pick up like the game becomes slower and more simple just by knowing when somebody says away thumb down and wide and like when you know the terms you become a better defender I know Rudy Gobert is doing he want to be close to the rim so he's probably gonna be back in the pick-and-roll so I'm gonna do something where I'm gonna pull his man up into a pigeon roll and I might be able to get a mid-range jumper or if we playing the Warriors and I know draymond Green is gonna switch I'm not gonna call him up his man to come in and pick a role bought other big like I would have my first year I would just call up whoever like just come set a screen you know and you'll see young players do it now they'll do stuff and I be guarding and I was like yeah they don't know yet they don't even know right but I think just really like learning the game watching yourself on film and getting better like feeling like seeing what you need to improve on instead of watching you highlight yeah and then have you had time to reflect on being the kid that was overlooked in high school overlooked in college and now signing a 200 million dollar extension like if you had time to reflect on kind of be journey that you've had I never really like look at it like that I just always like I'm always on to the next thing I got signed a extension now I got to like get ready for another I got to put another season again it's like I'm just always on to the next thing so I never think about like okay of course I remember like how it all started but it's sometimes I forget like the moments in between like first year second year third year like it's easy to forget about it until you see like stuff like this you like man that actually happened is it weird to you though because I feel like every time you do an interview they ask why don't you want to leave Portland I think people would love to see me leave because for two reasons because it's what's trending right now like they want to see this player play with that player and they want to see this dude play in this market like is sexy like what players are doing is sexy and it's like I'm not overly trying not to be one what other players are doing like if I was unhappy and wanted to play somewhere else and didn't like my coach and didn't like the city I live in and all that like I would go somewhere and play that I would rather be or think I'd rather be but I'm not in that situation I like the team that I play for I like the coach that I play for I like the organization I like living where I live there's like close to home it's a slow paced city and it fit you know I think so everybody want to see that trend and that's one thing and I'm like why would I change team when you saw the Clippers though because I was about to go to sleep and then I get a notification that Paul George has been traded to the Clippers and then I see another tweet that says Kawhi Leonard signing with the Clippers I was I ran to my TV turned the TV on to make sure it was real I was in a pool and Mexico okay and he was like waiting on stuff to happen the whole time my boy was like Paul George just got traded to the Clippers and then like 10 seconds later he was like and they just signed Kawhi - and I was like what I don't even sound right like why would the Thunder trade Paul George what did they trade what did they get for him and it was just a trip I couldn't believe it is there anything you can tell me about Space Jam - have you filmed your scenes yet yeah I filmed it already hmm Space Jam - yeah I mean what I can't say that I think people don't like you yeah I really like - I really like the story that is going to and I actually have a solid role no it's not just a cameo I got high expectations okay so everyone should go right now Apple music Spotify check out your album look up
