that actually cuts it, and he'll let us look at the
weight before we purchase it. To go in the living area, there's a blanket
covering the entrance. So we don't know
anything about this other than that they're
keeping the dope in here, and they're weighing it
right here. (Gordon)
The danger on this one is,
we don't have any intel. Narcotics officer only
got as far as the kitchen, so he knows what the kitchen
looks like, but that's about it. We'll go through
this chain-link fence, and we'll go to the back. (Gordon)
It's important that
we get in the back door because, basically,
that's where the suspects are. So it's important to get there
with some speed and surprise so maybe we can get the suspects
before they have a chance to arm themselves. All right, let's do it. (Byas)
The undercover officers
have been inside. They were only allowed
inside the kitchen. So with only having
limited access, that puts us
in the blind. It's always a dangerous
situation around a warrant because you have no earthly idea
how the guy's going to react on the inside. A lot of times,
the drug dealers, they think
they may get robbed, or they may not know
it's us. Sometimes they know it's us
and shoot at us anyway, so... My role is going to be
going in on the entry team. Being on the entry team
is pretty exciting. Exciting of course,
going in the house. When you go in the house, the suspects and everybody seems
to move in slow motion, and you can preact because
everything starts to slow down. One minute out. Left turn. Lot of people
across the street. Area in which the house,
our target house, is had the highest murder rate
in Dallas a couple years ago. I know I keep saying this,
but actively seek out threats in that neighborhood because a lot
of unfriendlies over there. (man #1)

I hear them,
I hear them. Police, police. No, I couldn't
get in there 'cause, see, there's
not enough room to-- and the door is so close. Practice it with the door shut
to see how it would-- It's too long
with the door shut. You can't
maneuver it sideways. We should've
stuck with the harpoon. (Gordon)
The alternate entry team had
already opened the front door, so we made entry
through the alpha side. Good to have
a contingency plan, because your plans
doesn't always work. (woman #1)
I don't think
it's no drug house. (woman #2)
No, I don't think it is. I think it's
what they came to do, to find. But I think
they were disappointed. (man)
Gangster roll, right there. (Lancaster)
There's a table there, and there's big chunks of
crack rock sitting right there. And I guess that's
where that table-- he said that's
where they cut it up at. But there was definitely
some dope in a big plastic bag. (Lee)
I can't understand why
a person would be upset at the police for busting a drug
house in their neighborhood. I don't know. That just--
that amazes me. It's a necessary evil that
something's got to be done. [whistles] (man)
I don't think he's going
to come out very willing. (Byas)
Most houses that we hit will have some type
of very aggressive attack dog. However, we have found
the majority of the time, these dogs are just as scared
of us coming in as we are of them. It's been a few months
since I've lost Ranger. I know I want
to get another dog. I'm just not sure
if the timing's right. However, I'm going
to go the SPCA, just go see what
kind of dogs are available. Not only was Ranger a big boy, but he was a big presence
in my life as well. So getting a puppy,
it's going to be pretty hard to fill Ranger's shoes. Standing here in line,
it's kind of tough, tougher than I thought
it was going to be. Looking for a dog,
I think. Looking for a dog. I think. You think. Are you ready for one? Yeah, I think. How old is this one? Dogs, it doesn't matter
how much you yell at them, how much you scold them,
whatever you do, they're always
right there for you. Just looking for a home, huh?
Is that all? You're just looking
for a home? Is he just chilling? [makes kissing noises]
Come here. Oh, look at that,
you're already on the couch. I just don't know. I could take them all. When I first walked in,
I just don't think I was ready. I had a lump in my throat
right off the bat. I think I'm going to hold off
for right now. My thinking is,
the dog's going to come to me. I'm going to know
which dog it is. He'll be the one
at the pistol range, where, you know,
he just comes out of nowhere. And I think
that'll be the dog that I'll probably
end up getting. The SPCA here doesn't euthanize, which means that these dogs
all have a chance. And that's a good note. And, you know,
mine will come. Captioning by CaptionMax
