yep, pretty much describes Night City perfectly.
"More dunkey" instead of "More content". I guess he's done being done making good videos
I'll wait for it to come out on the KFC and then pull the trigger
This isn't minecraft wednesday
Seriously ya'll, pick this up in 6 months. I bet dollars to donuts it'll be a much better game bug wise and mechanically.
Sounds like a fair analysis
I love that Dunkey can enjoy the bugs, shit all over the game, but still be honest that he enjoyed the experience. And I love that he didn't give it some arbitrary number at the end; that number wouldn't have made any sense.
When you have these big consolidated media companies with 30 reviewers, none of which you know or care about, you lose all sense of nuance and personality that is core to the subjective experience that gaming is. And gaming IS an entirely subjective experience; whether it's the mood you're in while you're playing it or what you're going through in your life, or the fact that you're ruining your own experience with your prejudices or other experiences...or even just enjoying it for how bad it is. It's entirely possible to enjoy something everyone has deemed bad, or to hate something everyone has deemed good...and everyone in that scenario is correct.
It's why reviews from a person who you understand (though, not necessarily agree with) is so much more important. Of course Dunkey loved how funny the bugs were, was annoyed with the quality and performance issues, but still enjoyed the experience. Because it's Dunkey.
And he's right. Not about the game, but about his experience.
It's why I've come off all these IGN and Gamespot and Game Awards bullshit that tries to give their review some ridiculous authority. And why I just pick a few people to follow, most of whom I disagree with, but I understand them and that makes their reviews more meaningful to me than some silly score/number from a company that's working with the marketing team of the publisher.
Thing is, Iβve always had a fairly high tolerance for visual/physics bugs. I played and loved all of the Elder Scrolls games from launch and they were, and in many cases, still are hot messes when it comes to those bugs. though I know experiences vary wildly based on your system, my experience on a high end PC is I believe comparable to Skyrim at launch. Definitely not a compliment, but I can still have fun.
The one thing that I cannot handle, and what made me stop playing the game, is the Lobotomized AI. I literally cannot suspend my disbelief, and feel like a bad ass net runner when Iβm basically fighting troglodytes with the IQ and instinct for self preservation of an amoeba. They run around like a chicken with their head cut off, they donβt take cover, When you get close they panic and T pose like some weird software version of a possum playing dead. It almost as if the same guy who did the AI for the Witcher games did the AI for CyberPunk, and attempted to patch together the enemy AI from W3 into the AI for an urban SciFi FPS.
Edit: just imagine if this game had the AI of The Division 2.... just imagine....
Can't believe no ones asked (that I can see), are there any story spoilers in the video?
